- Jason VS (9/5): Bright, open, lovely hotel room - Extremely conveniently located. Oddly (in the good way) quiet part of a major street near the Frontenac Hotel. Really, really comfortable King-sized bed. Large room. The heater would sometimes work, then trying to turn it on later, no amount of changing the modes would get it to run again. It wasn't a big issue. 3rd floor was wonderful and quiet. It was, until a family with kids who stomped around loudly until nearly midnight and then stomped around in the early morning arrived. All the following has nothing to do with the hotel, but we arrived in mid-May, before when all the attractions of summer are open. Conversely, we didn't have to fight large crowds--it was quite dead on Sunday when we arrived, as were Monday and Tuesday, but starting Wednesday there started to be lines forming at attractions and restaurants. I preferred it being quieter, even if not everything was open.

Worst of all, the hotel has absolutely no accessibility for bringing in a stroller, luggage, or anything similar — there are no proper ramps at all. The elevator is also barely usable. There’s no kettle in the rooms, the coffee machine doesn’t work properly, and the TVs only have basic channels with no smart access or modern features. Everything feels extremely outdated. The carpets and rugs in the rooms were also very dirty, and it honestly feels like no real improvements or renovations have been made to the hotel in a very long time. The location has great potential and the hotel could be so much better because of it, but unfortunately it did not meet expectations at all. I genuinely regret booking this hotel. Other than the location, I honestly cannot say there was anything else I liked about it.

Great location, friendly checkin staff, room comfortable and as described & the paid parking was directly opposite in the side street. The room was described as having air-conditioning, although this was deliberately not turned for the building. Staff were apologetic and stated it was a management decision.

- Pamela (10/5): Cozy and perfect locale to all the sites. - I loved being able to be inside a historical building. The room was spacious with a lovely kitchenette and refrigerator. We even loved the elevator (goes from ground floor to the 3rd floor only) and its quirk where you had to hold down the button until you got to your floor. We loved the proximity to the Chateau Frontenac and Rue de Champlain. Everything was within walking distance and the tour busses were 7 min walk away. There was nothing. We loved our stay.

- Hannah (9/5): - The room was much bigger than the picture entailed, the room was spotless and very very clean. The location was optimal, front desk workers kind and ample ammenties in the room. Felt clean, safe and spacious in the room and had extra sheets, pillows and blankets for pull out couch. Room is right downtown and was fairly quiet besides some construction (unavoidable). The only issue was the bathroom door did not fully close, it was a sliding almost barn door and when staying with friends it lacked a bit of privacy. Not a deal breaker or anything truly negative, just something to keep in mind.

- Anne-Marie (10/5): Séjour d'exception - Vraiment le meilleur hébergement que nous avons eu à Québec. L'hôtel est adjacent au Château Frontenac et situé à proximité de tous les lieux d'intérêt. La chambre est très spacieuse, impeccable, aménagée avec goût et respect des éléments patrimoniaux de l'immeuble, équipée d'une cuisinette et disposant d'une belle vue. Il y a un stationnement intérieur à un prix raisonnable juste devant l'hôtel, très pratique pour le Vieux Québec. Le rapport qualité/prix est execptionnel. Rien, nous avons tout apprécié

Ont s’est dire que cela était normal (faux) donc tellement de bruit qu’on n’a pas très bien dormi. Le lendemain ont a encore signalé et avons demandé un retour d’appel… sans retour.

- RnV (8/5): Our second stay--still good, but several issues - This is our second time at La Maison Kent so we obviously liked it enough to return. We got a suite that sleeps four even though there were only two of us because the extra space is really nice (Room 351). The location is fantastic and there's a covered public parking lot right next door for CAD$24/day. They've changed to a staffed reception model (until 11pm) which is a welcome upgrade and the people were all very kind. The room was clean and well-appointed, bed very comfortable, the shower gets nice and hot with great water pressure, and it's pretty quiet, though there's not much they can do about noise coming from outside since you're in the middle of old town (e.g., construction, trash collection, shovels scraping snow off sidewalks). There were several small to medium issues with our stay that kind of added up to a slightly negative experience overall this time. Unfortunately, most things couldn't be fixed during our stay so we just dealt with them. 1. The mini split could not get the room temp above 21C, and I'm not even convinced it was *that* warm despite what the device said . While we don't generally need to keep our room very warm, this was a winter vacation and we were outdoors for 8+ hours per day in often single-degree temperatures; it would have been nice to be able to defrost ourselves better at the end of a long day. Thankfully there was a space heater so we huddled by that for a bit as needed. 2. The ratchet that controls the height of the handheld shower head was broken so it kept sliding down the pole. There was a rain shower head as well but we tend not to like those so it was a little disappointing not to be able to completely enjoy a nice hot shower. 3. The vent in the bathroom was broken. 4. There was tea and coffee provided but no tea kettle with which to heat water. One was provided upon asking, but it was all plastic, which isn't great from a health perspective so we ended up not using it. One with a metal interior would be much better. None of these things was a deal-breaker for us, but the sheer number of issues had me feeling like we didn't get our money's worth and that perhaps we should consider staying elsewhere next time.

Do conforto do quarto: camas grandes com lençóis macios, dois travesseiros para cada hóspede, banheiro com chuveiro com bom aquecimento e pressão da água. Da localização: praticamente ao lado do hotel Frontenac e funicular para a parte baixa. Falta de instruções disponíveis para regulagem do aquecimento do quarto - sugerimos deixar alguma instrução por escrito. Depois de acertamos o aquecimento funcionou bem.

Location near Château Frontenac was central, an excellent spot near funicular, information centre, stairs to Lower Town etc. Communication with management was smooth both prior to, and during stay. The room 253 was clean, inviting and immaculate, with a kitchenette and a warm retreat to return to each day. Beautifully preserved interior stone walls and thoughtful design created comfortable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. There is nothing.

The riverfront walk and the center town square were both within 1.5 blocks! The washer/dryer didn't work while we were there. They replied to our call very quickly but no one ever came to fix it.

- Kasey (10/5): Wonderful option for larger families - Perfect location. The penthouse was large with 2 full bathrooms (each with a tub and separate shower) and one half bath. Beds were very comfortable and the heat worked very well. It was very clean and had 2 fireplaces. We parked in the underground parking garage directly across the street and had no problems checking in. We liked everything about the property. I guess it would be more convenient if there was somewhere to drop off luggage without blocking the busy streets. It was difficult to unload into the deep snow while blocking traffic.

You couldn't be more central if you tried! The facility was stylish but still had the old world charm to it. We were in a lower room facing rue Saint Louis but you never felt like you were in a basement. Hotel staff where friendly, responsive and always got back with texts quickly. 5 STARS to them for sure. I LOVED our room. It was well equipped, spacious and super clean. Lots of hangers for clothes and drawers for other items. Kitchenette was great. Had most things you would find in this style of kitchen. There is a small grocery store practically across the street that carried nearly everything you would need. A bit on the expensive side but you pay for convenience! They also carried beer and wine as well. This is just an comment, not a didn't like. They offer a Nespresso machine with pods, which is wonderful. But we are ground coffee drinkers from a coffee machine. I asked if they had a coffee machine, as we had brought our own ground coffee, but they didn't have one. It would be nice if they had something like this in storage for customers like us who like pots of coffee instead of one tiny cup at a time! lol However, they were very accommodating in providing us with extra pods.

We stayed here for the Christmas holiday and we grateful to be steps away from the markets and many options for wonderful restaurants. We also appreciated being next door to the Chateau Frontenac, but not in it due to how busy it was for the holiday season. The check-in was seamless, the rooms well appointed, modern and the bed supper comfortable! The parking garage across from the hotel managed by a public parking group was super easy to access. If returning to Quebec City we will definitely stay again and recommend to others! Although we appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine in our room, we would have loved to grab a coffee or pastry from the onsite shop, but it was never open during our stay.

- Jennifer (9/5): Magical Christmas Market exploration base - The building is a recently converted historic building right in the heart of old Quebec with easy access to everything. We traveled to visit the Christmas markets which were literally around the block. The property uses a virtual check-in and front desk staff are available via text. They always answered promptly. The heat in the room is set at 21/22 C, and cannot be changed. It was a little warm for us, and we didn't want to open the window or turn on the AC with outside temps below freezing. Parking was also a challenge on the first night, but we recognize it's always going to be a challenge in such a condensed older city. Arriving at 5:00 on a Friday during the Christmas markets didn't help. Per the advice of the virtual attendants, we were able to park in the street with our flashers on, run our bags inside, and then go to find parking and have fun.

- Joris (10/5): Perfecte lokatie, mooie moderne en hygiënische kamer - De lokatie is geweldig, de kamer was ruim, modern en schoon. Het bed was zeer comfortabel en de badkamer zeer modern. Er was een klein probleem met de incheck, de sleutel zat niet in het vakje waar het zou moeten zijn. Na contact te hebben gelegd met het personeel via de bel was het in een paar minuten geregeld en konden we inchecken!
