- Pamela (10/5): I loved my stay in Kampot. - The staff were delightful and very friendly and helpful.
Convenient location.
Relaxed atmosphere and the garden is lovely.
The Air conditionong worked well.
Breakfast and bar service was excellent. Not having meals at night did not bother me. The ceiling fan was a bit noisy.
- Jessica (9/5): - We had a lovely stay at Pippali. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. The pool was amazing and helped cool us off from the heat and the location was great!! Only thing we didn't enjoy was the loud music playing at night. It was Khmer New Year though, so it was to be expected.
- Lust (8/5): -
- Piero (8/5): INTERESTING to stay in a structure managed by woman power - Nice friendly That after 3pm no more food available
- Heike (10/5): Thank you again -

- Nicolas (7/5): -
- Romila (8/5): - Lovely property, not too far from the centre. Clean, comfortable rooms, and a nice pool to chill in. Limited options for breakfast
- Jean-Paul (10/5): - Tout : gentillesse du personnel : prevenant , extremement honnete, competent
Belles chambres confortables

- Jeffrey (10/5): - Charming, comfortable, great location.
- Gregory Alan (8/5): -
- Brian (9/5): Nice place - Nice location. Very nice people. Good breakfast Air conditioning kept shutting off
- Emile (6/5): Stay was average. Welcome staff and kitcken staff were very accommodating - Breakfast was limited. Not sure about the cleanliness of the mattress. Shower drain was blocked creating flood. Repair lady was not too experienced taking care of the situation. Better mattress covers needed. Too many stairs to climb up to room

- Karen (9/5): Highly recommend this property if you visit Kampot. Loved having a margarita in the courtyard watching the sunset. - Beautiful landscaping, good size rooms and beds. Staff are wonderful.
- Jon-Paul (9/5): A nice hotel and pool with an intimate feel - Great rooms in a lovely location. Nice pool setting, and staff very friendly.
- Emma (8/5): Perfecte locatie, gastvrij en lekker eten! - Perfecte locatie!
Posto tranquillo e in centro.
- Rhongrattz (10/5): Great location - I love everything about this hotel. The staff are wonderful, the rooms large and clean, breakfast has good choices, the food in the restaurant is delicious, the pool is clean and wonderfully refreshingnd the location is excellent. I will be back again😀 Loved everything here.
- Rhongrattz (10/5): - As per my previous reviews of Pippali, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
My only fear is I won't be able to get a room on my next trip as they may have no vacancy. 🥺 Always love everything at this hotel.😀
- Rhongrattz (10/5): - I reviewed this hotel previously, and loved it so much I extended my stay.
Highly recommended staying here. Loved everything.

- Rhongrattz (10/5): Love it here... - I loved everything about this hotel. From the great hospitality of all the staff, to the clean rooms, great pool & very convenient location.
Breakfast has good choices, and the food from the restaurant is delicious.
This is my hotel of choice for future trips to Kampot!! Loved everything.
- Chris (8/5): Good value and a nice atmosphere - The swimming pool and gardens were very tropical and clean. The breakfast was a set menu with guests able to select their options. The room overlooked the pool with a balcony and was a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room furnishings were a little tired and noisy from bar next door. But this noise was gone by about 10:00pm each night.
The guest room door lock was a little dodgy.
- Richard (8/5): A lovely little hotel in a great location - Great location, very helpful staff and a lovely pool. Hotel and rooms were a little more tired than the photos suggest though.
- Kenneth (10/5): Great location, quaint and superb staff - Great location !! A quaint boutique hotel.. very tasteful.. beautiful gardens surrounding courtyard pool. Nice restaurant/bar.. great coffee and beautiful fresh fruits and juices daily.
Even though these things on their own would merit a top review, it is the wonderful genuinely friendly and accommodating staff that make the Pipali such a great hotel.. This category can be eliminated for this hotel. Not a single shortcoming
- Michael (10/5): Great hotel staff friendly and very helpful definitely stay here again - Breakfast was excellent position of hotel was in great spot on river and close enough to walk to centre Nothing
- Ian (6/5): -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (1/5): Awful. Willnever stay there again. - Location (have stayed here before several times) It has changed owner and management and is going downhill fast. Poor quality all-round. Poor maintenance, dreadful breakfast. Had to change rooms because toilet was leaking. As one group was leaving we arranged for luggage to be moved whilst we were out but they moved wrong luggage to wrong room. We had four rooms for 10 people (plus toddler) for two nights. Four rooms for two night equals 16 free breakfasts, so extra breakfasts should have been 4, but on check out they charged 10 extra breakfasts. By that stage I was too angry to argue. They had already tried to charge for a small mattress (no bed) for my 3-year-old.
- Peter (8/5): Very good - overpriced for area
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dougmann (10/5): Good - The staff were amazing, pool was great, good food, comfortable and clean room. Great location I didn't like having to leave
- Arne (10/5): A q - Best room we had in Cambodja - everything was perfect A hotel on the riverbank with friendly staff and beautiful rooms
- Henrik (8/5): Decent place for a few days in Kampot - Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent location with walking distance to main attractions and restaurants. Lush pool area and a comfy room with all necessities. The restaurant next door is playing very loud music until quite late. Ear plugs provided and not the hotels fault but still quite disturbing. Lush pool area = lot of seeds, leaves and stuff in the water.
- William (7/5): Good - The place was nice enough a little busy on the main road as there was construction underway. Felt like the pictures on this site are not quite up to date slightly misrepresnted.
Staff were very friendly.
Only down fall was the rooms smelled a little musty.
All in all not a bad spot
- Mullennix (10/5): Nice place, nice pool, close to town, the staff are all really nice and friendly and efficient. - Everything, especially the staff Nothing
- Elizabeth (8/5): Fine. Not their fault construction outside. That is Kampot - The staff. They are fabulous and will help you with anything you need. The TV is not a TV. Pay for service screen. Can’t even watch Khmer news. Very basic room. Only 1 chair on balcony. The wall art is terrible. Just could do a little better
- Livia (2/5): I do not reccomend this hotel - The swimming pool and the food They charged me 10 $ for a towel which they could not clean because of mu menstrual blood, this never happened to me before and is not correct, you can wash 10 kg laundry with 10 $ in Cambodia. I do not reccomand this hotel
- John (9/5): Kampot near the river - Very friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Easy walk along the river front to busy restaurant scene. Lovely pool area and good breakfast. A few road works going on outside the hotel, but it didn't detract from our stay.
- Sotheary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (8/5): Lovely boutique hotel - Lovely boutique hotel, wonderful breakfast & coffee, had dinner also which was delicious, room and general setting is very cool, staff are very helpful and friendly, also helped book tours & transfer to Phnom Penh. Locations is next to a club with banging music on one side (earplugs are provided!) and next to a restaurant on the other which blasts out their music. Hard to have a tranquil time by the pool, but rooms are quite well insulated so noise doesn’t affect sleep too much.
- David (10/5): We spent a relaxing happy week at Pippali. - We liked everything about Pippali. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, we ate most of our meals there and enjoyed them. We had been warned that there could be noisy music from adjacent properties but we never had a problem and slept very well. It was lovely being so close to the river and having the promenade to walk along. And we enjoyed visiting the local attractions by tuk tuk. Nothing
- Huw (8/5): Very good - Great location lovely staff.
- Ian (8/5): Great staff comfortable though slightly noisy - Staff are all really helpful. Arranged moped and gave us free dinner because we left a day early even though the agreement is no refund. Location is a bit noisy. There is a road between the hotel and the river and local restaurant with music playing.
- Luděk (10/5): Comfortable small hotel - Nice comfortable hotel, further away from the downtown hustle but still within walking distance to everything. The best wifi connectivity we experienced in Cambodia. Comfortable and clean rooms, restaurant and pool are nice extras. Very helpful staff, assisted in arranging tours, laundry, etc.
- Ian (8/5): Very good - Great staff Unfortunately there is a bar next to the hotel playing loud music
- Simfio (9/5): Superb - Pleasant environment with pool and garden yet close enough to town centre.
- Dirk (9/5): lovely location, stay and staff - Great Location, nice staff, english not always good. Good breakfast options. Noise next door stops early (I stayed the weekend) so not really a problem. Lovely pool with enough seating. Like every where in Cambodia, there is a lot of streetwork going on. I think its almost finished. And the result is better roads, walkways etc.
- Dwayne (8/5): Pleasant hotel - Beautiful pool area. Well maintained and clean. Very helpful staff. Good location. Ceiling fan in the room blew hurricane force at low speed AC not totally functional. The staff tried to fix but I think it was a design issue. We couldn't run the fan. The room was very stuffy at night. As it was Chinese New year there was very loud music from a bar next door and we understand that is the case at the weekend. Breakfast was average. As in most places we have stayed in Cambodia the shower drain backs up.
- Carolyn (9/5): Quiet and shady small hotel in Kampot. - Nice tree-shaded area for eating and swimming. Food was good and the area was quiet. Quite a long walk out of the main part of town along the river.
- Geppino (10/5): Delightful place to relax in Kampot. - Exceptional service from delightful staff. Excellent breakfast and cooking in general. Location was great with a 10 minute walk to the town centre on the river promenade. Pool is a bit too shaded by the trees and shrubs.
- Justin (8/5): Nice place. No complaints. - Nice property. Friendly staff. Good riverfront location away from the more touristy places. Lots of street food vendors nearby.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (10/5): A really pleasant and relaxing stay - Everything. The staff were brilliant. The room was excellent. Just outside, but within easy reach of the central area . The breakfasts were perfect. Plenty of choice including a full English. I can't think of anything
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Great Staff thats what makes it Unfortunately there is a noisy bar next door starts in the afternoon when your relaxing by the pool and stops late at night great shame
- Rocking (8/5): The staff were all excellent and the room was a nice size. I would stay there again - The reception , bar and pool are all open planned and comfortable It’s a little noisy from outside
- Tim (8/5): Great stay - Located close to the river in a nice part of town it is a little escape from the hustle and bustle. Staff were incredible. Our room wasn’t amazing, but the price reflected what you got and I think was good for what we paid
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Malcolm (10/5): Wish we were able to stay longer - A lovely hotel with spacious rooms, attentive staff, a good pool and dining area looking out towards the river. Coffee bar, restaurants all nearby
- Jonathan (8/5): A delightful & comfortable base for exploring Kampot. - Excellent western breakfast. Location was a bit south of the main tourist stuff, but it was an easy walk along the lovely promenade, which is just across the street. This also meant that our room was quieter, although we could hear a bit of music when we went outside. Our room was on the upper floor with a big window overlooking the pool & breakfast area. Nothing gaudy or ostentatious. It met our needs very well & we'd recommend it to others. The folks downstairs were having a bit of an argument which extended to about midnight. Not the fault of the hotel, & it wasn't loud enough to complain about, although I would have if it had continued much longer. We realized afterwards that the HUGE window overlooking the pool & the path to the breakfast area allows those below to see into our room more than we expected, so you'll want to cover that beautiful window at times. Since there's a balcony outside that window, bringing that window all the way to the floor is a bit of a waste. A 3' high wall at the bottom of that window would mean you wouldn't really need the curtains.
- Laraine (10/5): Had a fantastic time - Everything it the best Nothing
- Grzegorz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (1/5): Such a shame The noise really spilt what should have been a lovely stay - The Hotel was great and location perfect The staff were lovely There was a nightclub close by and the music was loud bass type that made you feel the vibration It went on until 3 am
We just could not sleep at all
- Mateo (10/5): Beautiful place, amazing location, friendly staff!! - Very nice hotel. Rooms are big, nice and clean. Staff are super friendly. It's close to the river and not far from the centre. A lot of greens and fresh air. Great place to relax. They have a beautiful pool. Breakfast is delicious and they have a couple of options.
- Su (7/5): To upgrade quality to be valued for money. - Hospitality of staff, helpful and down to earth. 1) Breakfast is not enough, 2) Only provide toilet tissue paper (not quality one) but not facial tissue for room use.
- Henry (10/5): Fantastic stay at Pippali, Kampot - We stayed at Pippali for just over a week and it was truly amazing. The hotel is very well maintained with good sized very comfortable rooms. The swimming pool is an added luxury.
The hotel is located just across the road from the main river and is walking distance from downtown Kampot.
- Mutiah (4/5): Disappointing -
- James (10/5): Great experience - The staff was the best!
- Ellen (8/5): Very good - Close to old part of town Very noisy
- Marlene (8/5): Lovely hotel, worth the money we paid - Helpful staff, lovely pool and good value Unfortunately there were roadworks outside which meant the water was off daily. The shower pressure was very weak. Reviews had warned us about the music next door but it was fine
- Ellen (8/5): Very good - Location, wonderful staff Noisy due to location
- Rinaldoh (9/5): Superb - I had a wonderful time ( 3 days) in the Pippali Boutique Hotel 😊 The staff was so nice, friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for the excellent service 👍
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Marc (10/5): Warm, Friendly, Clean, and Comfortable! - I enjoyed the pool, the room and breakfast was pretty great. Next time I go to Kampot, I'll stay here again.
- Michael (10/5): Amazing staff, wonderful facilities - Pippali is a lovely hotel and restaurant. Super comfortable and clean, great good and service.
You immediately feel at home here thanks to the wonderful staff.
Very kind and caring.
I’ll be back
- Lloyd (7/5): not bad - location smell
- William (10/5): Very interesting place - The swiming pool is amazing and all the concept of this place is very nice. Also the staff is very nice !
- Patrick (10/5): A relaxing stay in Kampot - It’s a cozy small boutique hotel. Not far from the town center. A nice walk along the river is all it takes to arrive.
The breakfast was great. The pool is a nice place to relax. Rooms are comfortable, restaurant very inviting as well.
The best of the stay is the staff! Kind, professional justa amazing team!
- Warom (4/5): Nice little hotel! Massive shame about the massive noise. - It’s a lovely little hotel. Nice facilities, fantastic staff, clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed for four nights and three out of the four had to be three of the worst nights sleep I have ever had! I LOVE live music and have stayed at plenty of hotels that have some noise from neighbouring bars, but here was on another level! It was like sleeping next door to a full on rave! This wasn’t just for a couple of hours, it was until past 2am! On the Saturday, it started at 2pm and carried on till gone 2am.I have never known anything like it! I feel bad for writing the property a negative review based on something out of their control! However I would like some warning if I were planning on stopping there.
