• Lindsey (10/5): It was charming, quaint and I wish I had stayed longer. - It is so charming with a little garden area when you enter the property. The room had great character with the antiques and little details like the painted ceilings. It was also very quiet and relaxing. I loved having espresso and pastries in the dining room with a view of the outside. I could not have asked for a better night's sleep in Modena. I am glad I could this place instead of a hotel. No complaints. The bed springs were a little squeaky, but I slept so well that I didn't mind it.

• Marinella (10/5): Un soggiorno meraviglioso - Tutto. Il personale è gentilissimo: un'accoglienza fatta con attenzione e massima disponibilità. La location è molto curata, arredata molto bene, la posizione è ottima e, grazie al servizio fornito dalla struttura, è stato possibile accedere alla ZTL e parcheggiare gratuitamente in zona blu. La colazione nello splendido salotto, è molto ricca e curata con attenzione. In sintesi: la struttura è assolutamente consigliata e d'ora in poi sarà il nostro punto di riferimento per i soggiorni a Modena! Mi è piaciuto tutto!

• Jeroen (10/5): Een heerlijk verblijf - Het hele verblijf was een geweldige ervaring. Het hotel is een prachtig historisch gebouw vanwaar je direct het centrum inloopt. Benedetta is een geweldige gastvrouw; vriendelijk en behulpzaam en heeft geholpen om mijn vrouw te verrassen met een lekkere fles bubbels en heerlijke hapjes. Er is geen ontbijt beschikbaar, maar met de uitgebreide selectie van hapjes en drankjes kun je met een goed begin de stad in lopen. Er is niets geweest dat tegenviel.
• Claudia (10/5): Einfach empfehlenswert, wenn man altehrwürdige Opulenz mag. - die 8 liebevoll und prunkvoll eingerichteten Zimmer sind in einem wunderbaren alten Stadthaus im 2. Stock (es gibt einen Lift). wir mögen diese altehrwürdige Opulenz mit Kronleuchtern und Ölgemälden - echt ein Erlebnis. Unser Zimmer hatte Blick auf einen romantischen Innenhof mit alten Bäumen - sehr geruhsam. Es gibt zwar kein Frühstück im eigentlichen Sinne, aber man kann im Salon (ebenso liebevoll eingerichtet) immer Obst, kleine Süßigkeiten, Kaffee, Tee, Wasser selber jederzeit nehmen. Was aber vor allem sehr angenehm war, war der Empfang und die Betreuung durch Benedetta - sehr liebenswert und kompetent. Man fühlt sich gleich willkommen. Mir fällt nichts ein, was ich anders erwartet hätte oder ändern möchte.

• Clare (9/5): Beautiful room is a wonderful location! - Our room felt like we were staying in a castle - it far exceeded our expectations. The little parlour where you can have a coffee, drink and cake was really lovely and the staff were friendly & attentive without being over-bearing. The location is perfect for a visit of Modena - we would highly recommend. The mirror in the bathroom was so high I had to stand on my tip-toes to see in it - would have been ideal to have one in the bedroom!

Ich liebe die Ausstattung - sehr aussergewöhnlich, schön und liebevoll, verspielt. Trotz "kein Frühstück" wird im "Salotto" Kaffee, Tee, Kuchen, Obst und für abends auch Spirituosen für kleinen Drink am Abend angeboten - alles vom Hotel!! Die Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir werden hier sicherlich wieder kommen. Ein kleines besonderes Juwel. Fällt mir nichts ein.....

The lovely offers in the morning were just right to start the day. A really wonderful treasure that I will definitely return to soon. Parking is difficult. That’s not the fault of the property, just a heads up.

Benedetta is super kind and helpful and willing to accommodate any request, even if it’s outside of her normal hours or duties. She couldn’t have been nicer! I found the bed and pillows to be a little uncomfortable… not extremely so, but it wasn’t what I normally hope for with a “luxury” stay. Every other aspect was so great that I would not hesitate to return and stay again. Only a very minor consideration.

Rooms are inside what was a palace in Modena and there is a beautiful large lounge where you can relax and enjoy coffee and tea and an assortment of cakes and pastries. Our bedroom was a large room overlooking a garden. Very peaceful. There is no breakfast but this was made very clear before we arrived. There are lots of cafes very close to the property. Our hostess Benedetta was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Thoroughly recommended!! Leaving.

• John (9/5): Perfect palazzo style stay... - Wow! A beautiful stay in a palazzo-style apartment. Lovely staff, good communication and very helpful. A good location close to the famous restaurants of Modena, but 20-30min walk from train if arriving that way. Recommended! A very simple breakfast offering worked for us, but don't expect cooked options. The key code entry system can be slightly fiddly late at night after a few two many glasses of Amarone!

She helped us with everything, including recommending great local places to visit and calling a taxi for us when we couldn’t find one. Located next door to Osteria Francescana and its office, and we even ran into Massimo as we were checking in! We would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Modena!

It is a unique hotel where you feel surrounded by the beauty of the past while living in modern comfort. If you want a nice change from the usual chain hotels, this is the place for you.

• Philippa (10/5): Exceptional - This little hotel is a hidden gem. It is a small hotel located inside a building accessible from a courtyard close to the centro storico. Benedetta is an excellent host. She made us feel very welcome and arranged transportation for us when needed . The hotel has a salon which is a lovely room with chairs and tables and couches. Coffee and tea and sweet treats such as apricot tarts and cake are provided all day. We were able to relax there in between outings and exploration. We highly recommend this property.
