• Ken (10/5): A lovely base from which to explore a beautiful city. - Very spacious and comfortable flat in the heart of San Polo - easy to walk anywhere in Venice, less crowded and touristy than San Marco (accepting that is a really low bar). Good local amenities - bars, restaurants, grocery store, self-service laundrette not too far away. Easy to contact the hosts. Generally very quiet and peaceful. Rock solid wi-fi. Plenty of storage space, so you don't feel you are living out of your suitcase. Marvellous view from the lounge. Generally well stocked flat - loads of towels, enough complimentary coffee and jam, cotton buds and make-up remover pads (!), loved the shampoo :) No real problems, but for completeness: - some slight noise from the nearby bar on one Saturday, but nothing to really complain about (and we were there for ten days and there was no noise the other weekend) - there could have been more bin bags and dishwasher tablets. But that seems par for the course - if you are really self-catering plan to take some of these with you, wherever you are staying

• Meredith (10/5): Comfortable home away from home for a lovely stay in Venice! - Great location close to restaurants and a grocery store, easy to walk to tourist locations, but not right in the middle of the crowds. Comfortable apartment with plenty of space. The host was accommodating when we arrived a little early and even made our last day even better by allowing us to check out late because there wasn’t a booking arriving for that night. It helped alleviate a lot of hassle and stress for us. We would stay here again for future visits to Venice.

She gave us a tour of the apartment, which was very clean and tidy, beautifully staged and stocked with snacks and tea. Veronica even shared lots of links for recommended restaurants and attractions. The location and the view of the Frari was spectacular.

Lots of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. The apartment seems recently updated and very modern. Comfortable beds. There are no AC units in the bedrooms only one unit in the hall.

It is well located away from the chaos of S Marco but you step out the front door straight onto a gondola if you want. A helpful host and instructions were accurate and clear. The main bedroom bed was too firm for me. I ended up sleeping in the 2nd bedroom as the mattress was more to my liking. I found the hot water a bit tepid at times. It depended on the time and was good at other times.

• David (10/5): The apartment is centrally located and very comfortable! - The apartment is centrally located in Venice. It is a 5-minute walk to the S. Toma water bus stop which makes convenient access to all the major sites. We loved the feel of the apartment — it feels like a home. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked to make meals. There is a mini-mart a short distance around the corner. There are also restaurants close by. The Frari church across the small canal is an overlooked gem in Venice and you get to view it from many of the windows. The washing machine was extremely helpful mid-way through our travels. We really enjoyed the apartment. And the owners are very responsive to any questions you have. We would definitely stay here again! Nothing

Everything about the apartment was unbeatable - location, atmosphere, homeliness, spacious, decor, cleanliness - the list goes on. Ultimatey, I couldn't image staying anywhere better in Venice. Very comfortable with stunning views. Veronica whose family own the building and let out the apartment could not do enough for us. Surprised my daughter with a water taxi organised by Veronica. We had an amazing meal with a restaurant with stunning views again organised by Veronica. I am not sure there is anything I did not like but if I had to be very picky the sofa was quite low for my old body so needed a push from my daughter to get off it 🤣.

• Emma (10/5): A wonderful stay - It's a great apartment in a super location. You can walk to most major tourist sites within 20-30 minutes. Close to the vaparetto if you want to use that to get around. There are many charming Italian pasta restaurants in Calle Gaspare Gozzie, a short walk from the apartment, and a lovely restaurant called Muro Frari, right next door to the apartment. Make sure you make a reservation at these as they are popular! The apartment was modern and very comfortable. Veronica was very helpful before and after our trip, offering to book us a water taxi from the airport and sending us recommendations of places to visit and places to eat. A wonderful place to stay in Venice! Nothing

• West (10/5): Great! - Location was perfect, only 10-15 min walk from the train station and about 20 min walk to the main square. Was in a slightly quieter part of Venice but with plenty of restaurants/cafes/bars around. Supermarket less than a minute walk away. Hosts were very communicative, friendly and provided lots of recommendations for our stay which we really appreciated. The apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious with all the amenities that we needed. Thank you very much.

I found the shower over bath alittle tricky with my bad knee. The couch was very low and hard to get out of. But these weren’t big issues.

Plus there was an amazing grocery around the corner. Personalized service... Our host sent us restaurant and sightseeing suggestions... Ensured we were warm enough every night... And did daily check ins to be sure we were ok. The location is central to all activities and the spacious accommodation made it a comfortable base for our daily adventures. The apartment was large and impeccably clean. I can't express enough how pleased we were. I highly recommend this apartment. A home away from home. Everything was exceptional. Exceeded my expectations. Customer focused.

• Vasu (9/5): Nice place if you don't mind the stairs - The hosts are awesome, friendly and helpful. The place was clean and homely. It was close to the water, restuarants and supermarket. They even arranged a pickup from the train station on a water taxi which was helpful and gave us a lot of tips for the stay. The steps - not recommend if you have elderly people or babies. Tedious to carry the luggage. They had a washing machine but no dryer. No spare towel just gave us one each. The lounge was very uncomfortable, and the beds were really small. Will suit a small family.

Near restaurants and supermarket. Unit is on 2nd floor and no lift. My knees are bad and therefore found it painful. Mosquitoes also onsite. With my bad knees also found Sofa too low so was not able to sit on it. Only accommodation that I had to pay a cleaning fee and to dispose of trash during my trip to Italy.

Not the most touristy part of Venice but very easy to walk wherever we wanted. We found it to be ideal for us. I cannot think of anythng we needed in the apartment that was not already there...

The hosts were very helpful and the apartment was really comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend to future travellers. Our stay was just the ticket. Lots of great restaurants near by, and within walking distance to the train. The host was very helpful and responsive. The air conditioning unit was in the living room so we found the bedroom warm. The noise from outside and the apartment above was significant enough to mention. You were asked to take out the garbage and do the dishes before you leave.

The windows open to the small canal below which gives way to picturesque scenery and a magical aura. A small grocery store around the corner allowed us to stock up on water, wine, and snacks. Impeccable cleanliness, there was a minimarket right outside the location. The night was quiet, we literally didn't hear any noise and were able to rest without any issues. I highly recommend it. On our next visit, we will stay at the same place! We have nothing to complain about!

It was very easy to find and very convenient to have codes so that we didn't have to carry keys around during the day. The owner was a great communicator from the moment I booked. She coordinated a pick up for my family from the airport which was great because we had a long travel day. Our water taxi driver dropped us off near the apartment. The apartment was located in a less busy part of town but very convenient to shops, sightseeing and restaurants. It has more of a local feel which we really appreciated. The view out the windows to the Dei Frari was beautiful and fun (to watch the performers and crowds in the Campo). The property was well furnished. Everything we needed was provided. I highly recommend this property and location. There is nothing that my family of four (including two kids ages 10 and 13) did not like about this stay.

Ok, to really split hairs, it’d be great if the air con could reach the bedroom a bit better… However, it’s unseasonably hot right now so I think under normal circumstances it would be fine.

It was a fantastic location, with a beautiful view. You can easily walk all around Venice from this location. It’s not a busy area which is good. The supermarket is around the corner and lovely restaurants. We checked in by accessing the key box and it was simple. Margherita provided clear photo instructions and also great directions from bus and train. A great stay! nothing .. it was great

• Vipsterp (10/5): It was a birthday celebration and the long weekend went as planned without any hitches. - Fabulous location and very quiet at night, yet very accessible. Good restaurants and small bars within 0-8 mins walk max. very central to get to places. May be a small map to show you on arrival from the water bus stop to the location as it can be very tricky on day 1. Particularly for people who are not familiar with using phone mapping systems. The whole transport system can be tricky to use and a bit of research upfront is very useful.

The building is historic and the apartment is beautifully decorated with a calm, airy feel. Margherita was very attentive and helpful.
