• Charlene (2/5): Misrepresentation - We purchased the charming inn as a hotel but it is a house and has someone that moves you from one location to another with a up grade before you get there. This is not a Bed and Breakfast either as there is no breakfast. Just a bedroom with no TV in the house. The place is clean but there is no feeling of security because the owners do not stay there. I feel this is more like a scam where people are renting some ones house by booking out there rooms.

• Corrina (4/5): Ghetto house - False advertisement ! There was no t.v. in the whole house ! The kitchen was not useable (not enough /dirty plates ,utensils ) laundry room was not labeled ,had to search for it . Room was cold , was offered blankets but no heater option , window in bathrooom didn’t close . This is not ok if you are running a business , this would not happen at a Hotel .
• Andrew (8/5): Charming Inn charming indeed. - Owner picked me up from airport and arranged next morning return taxi. Location close to airport. Rooms very clean, quiet and accommodating. Owner willing to provide any additional amenities upon request. Cost almost half of average hotel/inn in vicinity.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Actually just a fancy house - Immediately after booking my day of stay I was called by the property owner and was sent to another one of their “hotels” because of a leak in the room I had booked. I was upgraded from a queen to a king, which was nice. When I arrived at the hotel I found it was not actually a hotel... it was just a fancy house. This seems to be the case with the Charming Inn as well, but the owner said the place I stayed was nicer. The owner texted me the instructions on how to get into the house and the key was in door for my assigned room, which was just a regular house’s bedroom with a shower/bathtub. There were slippers for me to wear inside. There were several other people staying there but they didn’t speak English so I don’t know how they found the place. They were talking loudly for several hours and that noise and the smell of the dinner they were cooking carried into my room. The property was well maintained and clean. It being in a middle of a neighborhood was not ideal for me since I didn’t have a car. If you’re looking for a traditional hotel experience I wouldn’t book here.

• Michel (6/5): - A call before the stay directed me to a different house in Richmond with entry code and room number. New big furnished house, very impersonal and no soul, Many bulbs missing everywhere to same on electricity, I guess. No one there, some guests came in later. No TV anywhere in the house. In the room, no chair, no TV, no desk, no side lamps, no kleenex, no bath mat, no facecloth. No picture on the walls anywhere in the house, feeling weird. Good Internet though.
• Gemma (10/5): Charming Inn - Very accommodating. Called to make sure of arrival times and to let me know they were upgrading me. Iovely family and would definitely stay there again.
• John (2/5): - There was no hotel (or Inn) at that location just a private residence and no response at the locked gate. We phoned the number listed. A man answered ans asked us t wait at that location. He arrived in a car and asked us to follow him to another location, also a private residence not a hotel, motel or inn. We were not looking for Air B&B. It appeared to be a scam. We refused to stay or deal with this man. We have since received a refund on our credit card. Now we would suggest you remove this "Hotel" from your listing and send us an apology for our inconvenience.

• Nina (10/5): - The space was like a B&B. Due to the Inn itself being full I was offered to stay at their extended facilities. I was greeted even at the late hour of my arrival and assisted with my luggage and getting settled. It was greatly appreciated.

• Bryn (2/5): - I first booked this property under the assumption that it was a hotel. I was relocated to the, quote 'new hotel', once i arrived to the house which was occupied by a family, it did not show any resemblance of a hotel. The kitchen in the house did not have any cooking utensils or equipment, which made it extremely hard to cook anything, obviously. The room in which i stayed in was however, very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was also clean. The overprice house is not a place i would recommend, you can get a clean comfortable bedroom at half the price anywhere else. I felt like it was a spare room in a living home.
• TheoPrystawik (4/5): - it's NOT a hotel or an inn. The room are in a private home, made available as rental units. The place was generally clean, only the vanity in our room was not up to standard. The furnishing in the room was highly inadequate, disappointing. Only items in the room was a double/queen sized bed, plus a fold-out sofa bed, which was very uncomfortable, not suitable for a comfortable sleep and too low to sit on. Beside the bed was a night table with a lamp. No chair, no table or writing surface. No radio, no TV, no alarm clock. No wash cloth in the bathroom, NO door lock, NO door handle in the bathroom door. Room lighting was not adequate. The room was quiet, though and the hosts were friendly.
• Jason (10/5): - I have particular needs and this place suited me perfectly - very comfortable, full shared kitchen, great wifi, secure and a place to park a 20’ trailer. Unusual in that it’s more like a residential home in a suburb than an actual hotel but if you’re ok with that it’s great. You’ll need to take a bus or cab to downtown Richmond. Sky train from there to downtown Vancouver.
• Simon (10/5): 10/10 in every aspect - Extremely kind & welcoming host, great location if you’re looking To be as close to YVR without emptying your pockets. Also very conveniently located only a couple minute walk from a bus stop which can take you to the Richmond mall if you’re lookin to kill some time. Also the bed was incredibly comfy 🙏

• Adriana (10/5): Pleasant stay in a residential neighborhood - Nice stay in a big house. Comfortable bed and clean environment. The rooms are bedrooms in a big house in a residential neighborhood. We had our own private bath in a master suite. Each bedroom has a key, there is a big shared kitchen and dinning room. Common areas are cleaned every day, not sure about the bedrooms. The entire setup is more like an AirBnB than a hotel.

• Wes (4/5): - Such a ripoff, It’s a private home. You get a room with a washroom inside. You’re aloud to use the common areas of the house but it’s also being used by the owners so not very appealing. No TV was in the room, and the additional sofa bed is very small, only enough room for one person to sleep on. We only stayed for the night, but got a horrible sleep. For one the room temperature even on the bottom floor was way too hot, had to sleep with the window wide open at night. Woke up with a slight chill and closed the window half way. Woke up half hour later too hot and had to adjust the window again. On top of that I could here someone snoring very loudly in an adjacent room! Seriously. On top of that you could hear kids late at night, and early in the morning being quite loud, and could hear laundry going in the morning as well though what must be very thin walls. No coffee was in the pot when we got up in the morning. We just wanted to leave so I saw fruit in the bowl and went to grab an apple to go...guess what? It was a plastic decoration!! Bad location as well, in the middle of nowhere Richmond, not many amenities close by. The free “internet” is usually 1 or 2 bars. And there isn’t even a sign, making it almost impossible to find. Place is a joke, definitely not worth it.

• Veronica (6/5): - Bright, the property owner/manager double-booked our room at the Charming Inn and called only hours before check in to inform me that he had "great news" and he was "upgrading" us to a better room in an entirely different location! We were not given the option of declining or getting a refund, and everything else in the area was booked. Bright sent us to another property, a guest house called "Convenient Inn". The king sized bed was a single matress with no boxspring as was very hard. The "pullout couches" for our teen daughter to sleep on were similar to foldable camping cots, and all her bedding and towels were forgotten- it took Bright 3 hours to show up and provide them after we contacted him twice. There was a stunningly luxurious private bathroom with jacuzzi tub, shower, double sinks snd even a high-tech toilet bidet, but the only items that were not OUT OF ORDER were the shower and sinks. I didn't see the value in this so-called "upgrade", it felt much more like a bait-and-switch tactic, or at best an unsatisfactory attempt to correct a blunder. Bright himself was a very pleasant man and seemed eager to please, and if there was only one error I might have overlooked it, but double-booking, forgetting the number of guests and bedding requirements, and broken amenities is too much to accept without comment. Sorry, Bright.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - I did not stay at Charming inn, but was changed to another 'home' in Richmond. Nobody at Check-in. In fact I did not see anyone in this empty house duringmy stay. It is in the middle of nowhere. Would not recommend this .
• Marion (2/5): Don’t go there - Horrible experience !! We booked a room because we had an early flight and wanted to be close to the airport.... the owner called few hours before we arrived saying the house had plumbing issue and he was changing us to another house. We went somewhere on Lucerne ave or st in Richmond. The manager is a lot of thing but a manager. The house has electrical and plumbing issue as well. The manager kept switching the lights in our bedrooms, coming and going in our bedroom we had zero privacy. Then we had a huge water leak in our bedroom right next to the bed while we were asleep. When i txted the owner saying everything he just said that we should be happy he gave us 2 bedrooms... i don t care how many bedrooms i have i just want to be able to sleep in my bedroom that i paid for !!!!
• abraham (8/5): - family of 4 including 2 x 13year olds. one night. original booked room had a plumbing accident. we were provided with alternate room in the same area of richmond. missing some bedding and towels, but staff was available and very responsive. good value for the money, considering the next level of accommodations was more than 2x the amount for nothing better. clean, quiet, would stay again.
• Sergio (10/5): Unexpected awesomeness - I need to stay for a single night and they really surprised me. Everything was great, and I was able to sleep very well in a very comfortable bed :)
• Verified traveler (2/5): - Its advertised as a motel but its a house with rooms for rent hence shared bathrooms option. There is no outside signs that this is a hotel. We waited outside on the side street to check that our directions were correct- phoned the contact number to speak with a person who spoke very broken english and was hard to understand. You have to ring a doorbell to be allowed entrance. The drive is small and we had to squeeze into the driveway to park. My booked room was given to another patron and i was offered a room with shared bathroom- not what i booked. The husband spoke to his wife and they argued and he attempted to have me wait for her to return and straighten out the situation- I did not stay in this house and im trying to get my money back and im still waiting the results of my refund request! Sadly, its Not at all what they advertise...
• Fiona (4/5): - Another guest left dirty socks in the bathroom hanging from the towel hook overnight. The kitchen was really disgusting: smelled bad, dry bread on the counter with a million crumbs, not many glasses etc. Wouldn’t go back.

• Tariq (2/5): - It’s not a hotel or motel , it’s a private house in a residential area with rooms First floor rented out .I was told on booking for my family of 6 , that are booking a suite with king bed and 2 queen bed and it was only master bed room with 1 king bed and 2 queen futton. Door lock being changed in front of us to give us keys and regular house lock , no soap in the bath room . I called and has complined to Expedia and they are still investigating and we had no choice but to stick with tthis pathetic cheating done by the owner and it was late at night after crossing border . Next day when we came back from vancover city , the helper lady told us that pipe line has broken and we will be send to a different house and it turn out to be worse room then the first one with small size and “so called jetted tub” has a big spider and we inform the lady and she brought a man who suggested to open the water faucets and he will be back and left and then when it was full he came back and started the jetted steams and apparently they were never used before , made water dirty and finally we combine together killed that big spider and remember we have 4 kids . Towels were not done and we have to ask for them every day and , no bed cleaning , no house keeping and biggest of all NO WiFi or NO TV . Imagine with kids . I got a second email from Expedia about they are still trying to contact owner and we spend from Monday to Friday morning there and spending most of our time outside in town .

• JM (8/5): - This is a house converted to an inn. Kitchen available to guests. The manager is gracious and helpful. Restaurants of various degrees of ostentation are within walking distance or a short drive.
• Che05 (6/5): Close to Vancouver Airport - It was less expensive than other places, which is why we booked it. There were a few strange things: 1) the inn had no signage outside, which was very confusing and made it more difficult to find 2) It wasn't an inn, it was a large house with bedrooms with locks on them. . Would have been good to know that before booking. More like what you'd get in an airbnb. Close to airport, quiet, very clean. For a night prior to a flight, it did the trick.
• Andy (4/5): - This was not a Hotel as expected but a converted House, more like an Air B&B. Our room was advertised as a suite . We were expecting a separate bedroom as there was my Partner and I and our 23 year old son. We had a double bed and a small double fold out couch in the only room. There wasn't very much spare space once the couch was folded out.
