Hawkins (5/5): It was average, overall it was average - to poor. - When we reported the issues we experienced they were very prompt to be seen to try and fix. Toilet seat was moving, advised it is ok, it is a new (cheap) seat and did not fit the Toilet properly. Front door lock was hard to open, one evening we had to give it a hard shove to open the door. They changed our room at the start , which took alot of time. I did tell her very clearly not to worry about it, but she kept saying it will only be a couple of minutes more. It was a shock to get an extra charge to my card for the "room upgrade".

Lora (10/5): Best place to stay in the area - After traveling extensively in both New Zealand and Australia, I can say honestly that this place is actually falling into the category of a hotel. The huge brand new tv screen, the heating blanket under the bedsheets, the spotless kitchen corner, the comfortable beds and the large bathroom were all features one usually finds at a hotel. The communication with the hosts was always prompt and all our requests were met without any problems. The cleanest property we have had in New Zealand. Would have loved to spend longer time at this place. Very easy check-in process. Definitely recommended if you are in the area. My whole family loved the place. -

The layout is a bit strange because the rooms are in unattached rows. This opens to a drive along the front doors of other units. You can't really open windows without exposing yourself so lack of privacy. Motel is in an industrial area. Far from downtown.

Close to the town centre and conveniently situated for Pollard Park and gardens, Riverside Park and the new Wine and Food Experience. Spacious, comfortable apartment, clean and well equipped. Restaurant on site open Thurs through to Sun. Highly reccomend the Grove Park Motor Lodge.

The staff there are always accommodating and welcoming when we arrive, but also respect the fact that although being national champions, we are also normal people who just want to do normal things.
