Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Definitely not a 9min walk to main square. More like 40, after you take taxi a few times to figure it out. Staff does nothing to ward off the people following you back to the hotel wanting money form”helping you”. Even after you pay them more than you should they stand at the front door yelling and demanding more. The staff will not ask them to go away or even shut the door. Kind of an intense situation that I think they should handle better. I saw it happen with multiple guests time after time. In fact, every single time you leave the Riad and come back I’d say there’s a 90% chance it’s going to happen. Even when you tell the people walking with you that you know where your going and you don’t need help finding the Riad. I understand it’s part of the culture and it’s all they know, but over the years it has turned from a culture and somewhat of a custom to a scam. The room was clean, pics on the website are deceiving, as always, building is old, not a problem though. Location isn’t great but not the worst. Breakfast is good enough to hold you over. If you want a kettle of tea, just hope someone doesn’t already have one, because they only have one kettle in the entire Riad. Or at least that’s what I was told buy the young man working there the 1 time I asked for some tea. Marrakesh is a must, but once you leave Marrakech, hopefully, and travel to the coast you will get to see how much more relaxed and laid back the rest of Morocco really is.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Authentic - Good value. Authentic place, but hard to find.. Authentic neighborhood, far from the tourist track. One of the showers was partly broken. Nice terrace. Staff helpful, but most speak only Arab and French. Would not stay in this area if travelling alone. Good choice if you can find your way around and want good value. Good wi-fi
