• Justin (10/5): Great place to stay when in Lisbon, highly recommended! - Perfect location right in middle of restaurants, walking distance to sight seeing, close to transport. The room we had back of hotel was quiet. Staff friendly and very helpful. Street hotel is on is closed to transport ( why we picked it) so had to walk a block to order a Bolt. Not really a problem with hotel though 😁

Personalen var trevliga och hjälpsamma. Om man är känslig mot ljud ska man inte sova i ett rum mot gågatan då det var rätt lyhört. Hade föredragit en gratis flaska vatten/dag istället för gratis portvin (petitess).

• Olivia (8/5): Loved it! The staff was great and the room was large compared to Europeans standards. Would go back again! - We really loved the property and how kind the staff was! The room was bigger than the usual European room and the bathrooms were big and clean. The staff was super kind and held our luggage for us twice and answered all of our questions. It’s in a very central location on a pedestrian only street with easy access to everything. Really liked it!! This is for my more “noise sensitive” people. The room itself is so quiet and very well insulated. We never heard our neighbors or people in the hall or anything like that. The street the hotel is on is pedestrian only, but there are restaurants with patios up and down the street that don’t close until ~11 PM (which is completely normal for Lisbon time). We are from Chicago and are used to street noise and found it totally reasonable and fine. But if you need the quiet and have a 9 PM bedtime, maybe try a less fun neighborhood

We learned Bolt, Uber do not like to come to that area as in peak times takes 20mins to get out. And taxis you have to go to the square.

(Note that breakfast is 7:30-10:30, so a bit late for a morning flight.) It is a bustling, central location. There are tables outside to sit, have a drink and dinner. The hotel has virtually no lobby, so tricky when you are traveling with a group. The elevator is older and quite small.

• Susnjer (9/5): Very clean, very friendly, modern & very nice! - The location was great and the staff greater! Got off a cruise ship and they kept our luggage until a room was ready and had it in the room upon our return. Upon arrival a pastel de nata and a glass of sherry/port was offered - a nice touch! Helped me with an iPhone issue- tip- in Portugal when on a wireless network, turn off your cellular data. I couldn’t figure out why I kept on getting kicked off the net, but the staff figured it out for me. The bad/good thing was the location. It was on a street that closes down to foot traffic only and restaurants place tables in the middle of the street. Great location, but when you get dropped off in the rain a street away from the hotel and you don’t know where you’re going it does get confusing. But, early in the morning when we needed to go to the airport they came right to the front door. It would be nice if it had a real lobby, but space in that location is at a premium and we didn’t need to sit in the lobby.

Very small hotel, so nice and quiet even with restaurants, bars & shopping right outside the door! Location couldn’t have been more perfect. Staff were outstanding! Very welcoming every time you walked in the door with treats on the counter! They helped us when needed and did it with smiles! Loved it there and would go back!

• The1source (8/5): Excellent séjour et excellent staff - Notre séjour au Be Poet Baixa Hotel à Lisbonne a été très agréable : l’emplacement est idéal au cœur du quartier Baixa, tout est accessible à pied et le personnel est particulièrement sympathique dans son attitude et son accueil. On a même eu une délicieuse tarte offerte pour un anniversaire, ce qui a vraiment ajouté une touche chaleureuse à notre séjour. Chambre propre et bien équipée, parfait pour un week‑end en ville. Nous n’avons pas rencontré de problème lors du séjour, mais nous avons été déçus par le restaurant en bas de l’hôtel, qui nous a facturé de manière abusive alors même qu’il avait été recommandé par la réception. Nous conseillons donc de vérifier attentivement les prix et le pourboire dans la note.

The only negative is they weee a bit small but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was fine even with no bath tub. The breakfast set up was great and food delicious! Really appreciated the staff and special hospitality of port and pastries available in the lobby. A seating area would have been nice but not necessary. The cleaning staff were very helpful and so a great job too! Just a little small but not a big problem.

Colazione per intolleranti da migliorare - La posizione , il personale L pulizia e la stanza e la tranquillità malgrado la zona affollatissima La colazione . Sono celiaca e avevo avvertito della mia condizione molto tempo prima . Purtroppo al nostro arrivo non era possibile fare colazione presso l’hotel a causa della inagibilità del locale preposto . Dirottati su un hotel vicino, a parte del pane già aperto e dei corn flakes( che purtroppo nn mi piacciono) ho dovuto accontentarmi di yogurt ( non confezionato e quindi piuttosto incline ad assorbire le briciole del pane posto più in alto rispetto alla ciotola dello yogurt) e frutta. Altro non c’era. Un ringraziamento al ragazzo responsabile delle Colazioni che il secondo giorno si è dato da fare per trovarmi almeno le marmellate confezionate (altrimenti contenute e disponibili a tutti in 4 grossi sottovuoti con cucchiaio). Comunque frutta e yogurt buonissimi e staff disponibile e senza colpe. Viaggiare da celiaca è un incubo🤦‍♀️

• Tanner2305 (10/5): Perfect chic hotel in the heart of the action - We took a train into Lisbon from Lagos and then took a taxi to as close to the hotel as possible. We arrived on the same day as the annual Lisbon marathon and found the city to be electric and busy. It looked a little while to find the hotel however when we entered the small and cozy lobby we were welcomed with smiles and attentive and lovely staff. We arrived early hoping that we may be able to check in early and we were pleasantly surprised when we were handed our room key. Before we headed to our room to freshen up, we enjoyed a glass of port and a famous Portuguese custard tart. What a nice touch as a way to welcome you to the hotel. Our room was on the second floor facing the busy pedestrian only cobblestone street. The room was well appointed and had everything we needed for a cozy one night stay before an early start to get to the airport to catch our flight home. The front desk team were great in helping us book a car for a 6:30 am start. The windows in the room opened up the hub of activity on the busy street below. The great news was that when the windows were closed it pretty much blocked out the partying that went on into the wee hours of the morning. The hotel is located in a great part of Lisbon with numerous shops and restaurants up and down each street. We had a fabulous time walking these narrow roads and exploring this clean, friendly and lively city. We paid for breakfast but because we had to leave so early the staff gave us a box each of breakfast to take with us to the airport. All in all we can’t say enough about the staff, location of the hotel, cleanliness, comfort and overall positive experience we had staying here. We’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon seeking adventure and a lively atmosphere.

• deborahmU4800JY (8/5): great choice for a short stay and reasonably close to everything - The staff were very helpful ahead of our visit booking restaurants and advising on visits. We were then greeted with typical Portuguese hospitality on arrival in the reception , offered a glass of port each and a local custard tart. Everything about this hotel is good, so well located and accessible apart from vehicle access, as it is on a pedestrianised street and so a few minutes walk to taxis. My only concern was the tight space inside the reception, which was featured as having a lounge but not as we understood it. It was in fact the breakfast room, which was also quiet cramped for movement, that became a sort of cafe/bar after service and into the evening. But overall, pleased with the rooms and breakfast except the hot food selection was never hot and there was no method to warm up !!

Genellikle bu kadar merkezi otellerde büyük oda bulmakta zorlandığım için odanın büyük olması beni çok mutlu etti. Odada kahve makinesi olması, karşılama ikramları ve personelin güler yüzlülüğü de ayrıca güzeldi. Yatak birazcık gıcırdıyordu. Sorun edilecek kadar gürültülü değil ama yorumu okuyunca tamir ederler diye bunu da not düşmek istedim.

The hotel is super cute, with decoration inspired by Portuguese poets. We would easily stay at this hotel again, what a gem!
