- Noemi (10/5): - The style and the location
- Rod (9/5): Very spacious and quirky apartment in the centre - We were surprised by the second floor lounge room, bedroom and bathroom which were really spacious. Downstairs was more functional but interesting decor and functional kitchen. Lots of surfaces to put belongings and many windows to open for fresh air, though on a courtyard. We could walk anywhere in Cadiz from this location, yet it was very quiet. The app was really easy to use once the office staff installed it for me. They were very helpful and always available and let us check-in early. Only the TV let us down, with a few shopping channels and a local station.

- Francesco S. (9/5): Vai a Cadiz e sentiti a casa - Appartamento ampio e luminoso nel quale ci siamo sentiti come a casa nostra.

Nada

- Charmaine (10/5): Excellent choice - Centrally located. Comfortable and spacious. Beautifully decorated. Attentive hosts. Straightforward check in/out. Too many emails about access! Don't be overwhelmed - just download the key app...simple!
- Aminul (9/5): Superb - Apartment was large clean and comfortable. Situated very close to some of the main attractions,eh the cathedral and amphitheatre.
The staff dealing with the property were exceptionally efficient and helpful.
- Mario (10/5): Exceptional -
- Agnes (6/5): I'll stay elsewhere next time, - The location was ideal for that activities I wanted to do in the city. The door was opened using an app that frequently logged me out and was glitchy. The toaster wasn't working and there were no Instructions for operating the hob or the heating. The shower hose is leaking in the main bathroom upstairs.
- Petra (9/5): Superb -
- Lina (5/5): Doesn't worth that amount of money. - The house was beautiful itself and the location was great! We rented the La Botanica apartments because of light, spacious and well detiled interior, but somehow we ended up in the dark and old La Botanica duplex. It was pretty dark inside because of small windows. The apartmemt looks different in the photos than in reality and it was furnished with uncomfortable furniture (especially in the kitchen).
The kitchen lacked quality tools for cooking. Also, there was no coffee machine mentioned in the description :(
Facilities were poorly cleaned. Moreover we got some uninvited guests which occupied our bathroom and kitchen. It was ants :D
Very poor soundproofing. You can hear every single move of neighbours. Maybe that's why there is restrictive silence signs on every corner. However it makes you feel a little uncomfortable...
Let's say it was just a bad luck with accommodation in beautiful city of Cadiz :)
- Andrew (9/5): Unexpected stay due to wife falling very ill on a cruise. Although difficult circumstances the property company were ext - Very close to all the points of interest including the Cathedral and markets. Had everything we needed in the apartment and was very comfortable. Nothing.
- Nick (8/5): Fantastic apartments with room for some small improvements - The apartment is really grand and characterful, really spacious and airy. It is superbly located in the old town and the communication from the agency managing it was great. The staff were always really responsive and helpful with any problems we encountered. We had to ask for maintenance to come and sort ants out in both apartments on more than one occasion. There is a roof garden which causes this issue which makes sense, and the agency were really quick to send someone round to deal with the ants when we noticed them, which we appreciated, but obviously a more proactive solution would be better. We had difficulty trying to bathe our toddler on one occasion due to ants in the bathroom, which isn't ideal.
The apartments have loads of storage space so it would be really helpful if they were better equipped with some basics for families, beyond a crib rental service. The fact you can rent a crib must mean families with babies stay often enough. For example, plastic cutlery and plates/bowls/cups for kids; a high chair or booster seat as it was difficult to feed our toddler without one; a non slip bath mat for bathing babies.
The elevator is a major trip hazard and one of our party tripped and fell and hurt herself on arrival. It could have been much worse. This is because the elevator floor does not match up with building floor level when it reaches the second floor. There is a step up of about 4 or 5 inches where the elevator isn't calibrated properly! This needs to be looked at by maintenance, or a warning sign up as anyone using an elevator would expect the floor to be level when the doors open, and would not be expecting such a major trip hazard!
Finally, there was no recycling information provided. We got messages from the agency about being sustainable and saving water etc but nothing about what to do with waste like cans and bottles that could be recycled. There was only a grey bin to put all waste into. I don't know if recycling is collected in Cadiz, but it feels like a real wasted opportunity to reduce the environmental impact of our stay.
- Itsaso (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (10/5): An absolute pleasure - It is a stunning property, incredibly spacious with wonderful artworks displayed in the hallway and apartment. Very comfortable beds and has all the necessary kit to make it feel like home. It was also located in a very quiet street but very close to the market square and a short walk to all the sites and town beach. Make sure you walk out to the fort to watch the sunset . Nothing!
- Marisela (10/5): Exceptional - The property is beautiful, the location was very good.
- Geoff (8/5): Large, clean and modern, comfortable apartment. - Very spacious apartment with very good kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. Well located in old city. Challenges at front door with entry system. Why have 2 single beds in the main bedroom area when the beautiful ensuite is clearly suited to a couple? We ended up sleeping on the fold out sofa-bed downstairs. Although the management responded promptly to WhatsApp messages, some face to face contact would have been appreciated.
- Janette (9/5): A huge well maintained apartment with plenty of space in a central location. Highly recommended - The apartment was huge, way bigger than anticipated, clean and central. Two bedrooms did not have outside windows
- Susan (7/5): Good - It was a bit quirky, spacious and comfortable. It served our purposes well. Lovely building and great central location. The apartment didn’t get a great deal of light during the day - I’m sure it helps
Keep it cool in summer. In April we had to use the lights downstairs during the day.
And in Cadiz the drains can smell quite strongly when the wind is blowing, apparently. When we were there we found it pretty pungent at times.
- Gerardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daragh (5/5): Staff need to urgently address the foul smell in the apartment - Location in the old town was good. The staff were quick to respond. The apartment was spacious. We had the second floor apartment. The apartment had an awful smell of sewage from the upstairs bathroom which filtered out into the bedroom. It became so unbearable, we had to get out of the apartment. We reported it to the staff who said it was due to recent heavy rainfall and sent someone around to fix the issue. They poured a chemical down the drains and blocked all the plugs. We never used the upstairs bathroom again and the smell still lingered throughout the apartment. We reported it again and the staff told us there was nothing more they could do. After reading previous reviews, it appears this is an ongoing issue and the staff need to urgently resolve it. Very disappointed considering the price we had to pay.
- Elena (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (7/5): Once we were in it was very popular. However, we couldt find the building nor entrance as it wasn’t pre identified or t - Spacious rooms, quirky pictures, high ceilings Beds were narrow. Took a while before hot water heated up.
- Olmo (6/5): Pleasant - By night the property had an emergency phone line Accommodation fully focused on upselling expensive dinners and baby care takers. I was negative surprised by the fact we got a sofabed. The ad includes two properties but if one isn't available, you don't notice that there's 2. I called but was never contacted about this
- Lynnmol (10/5): Very central - Great huge central property good communication with property managers Nothing -
- Patricia (3/5): Not good - The location The bed in the living room is very uncomfortable . They don’t have air conditioning for all the apartment. And the only air conditioner available makes lots of noise.
- Ana (8/5): Very good - Decor. Location. Spacious. Quiet. No air conditioning, only ceiling fans, not enough for hot summer.
- Lorna (9/5): Superb - Beautiful flat in a great location. Quiet street but very close to shops and cafes. Comfortable bed. Spacious. No real issues. The bathroom smells a bit weird but that's the city drains and not the flat. Some soap dishes by the sinks would be useful.
- Kate (9/5): Superb -
- Lesley (10/5): perfect. more than expected - in historic area. huge apartment . set in a gorgeous courtyard . 6 adults and more than enough room nothing at all
would return again
( maybe some wine glasses that’s all )
- Aleksandra (10/5): incredible - this is the most incredible place we have stayed in. spacious and with so much attention for every detail in the apartment.
completely the same as shown in pictures we liked everything except the fact that we needed to leave
- Kevin (9/5): Wonderful property in historical Cadiz - Amazing location, easy check in, high ceilings, plenty of space. Couldn’t figure out how to make the property warmer at night. Even with the comforters, it was pretty chilly in the evenings.
- Thomas (8/5): Feedback on La Botanica Duplex - Great location, nice accomodation. 1. I was upset about the fact that we could not access the roof terrasse. Personnel al Alquiler Vacacional were polite but not helpful to provide the key. In the end the key was found hanging on the wall next to the roof door and we had a glorious time at sunset above the city. All visitors should be allowed up.
2. The is a foul smell after showering in the upstairs bath. Suggest to fix asap. Again, Alquiler Vacacional did not respond to my complaint.
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing drains, horrible lighting, friendly ants (lots of them) - The overall ambience of the property was lovely - clearly, at one time, it was a lovely, high quality building and that can be seen in the size and architecture. The location is quite good - relatively easy to walk to the main attractions. Unfortunately, the underlying quality of the building was let down by some poor maintenance issues. The main shower/bathroom couldn't be used for 2 days (out of a 4 day stay) as the drain was blocked and disgusting black waste water came up through the drain - (when the bidet was drained the water came up into the bath - ewwww!). In all rooms (mainly lounge, main bedroom, dining room and hall way) there were ants crawling of surfaces. If you sit in the lounge, after a few minutes, you will find ants crawling over you. Clearly the photographs have been taken by a professional and really well lit - in reality the rooms are quite dark and lit only by horrible 'green' fluorescent bulbs. The lighting really spoils the evening atmosphere. The 'headboards' behind the beds actually consisted of fabric pinned to the wall - which was loose and hanging off.
- Graham (8/5): Very good - Great location and beautiful architecture, older building so that is reflected in the amenities however perfect base to explore the city.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Francisca (7/5): Good -
