Guest Reviews
- Annabelhe (10/5): - Very cute pod, like a little apartment, location main street behind the post office. Host super nice and gentle. Would recommend this place
- darren (10/5): - John is a wonderful host. everything in the pod is set up perfectly
- dana (8/5): - Wonderful place private but right in town! This little gem had everything we needed! Small issue night 1 we did not have the bedding we requested. We got in late so I didn’t call for it but this was a very minor issue as it was warm and We had bought a throw in Hebrides. Cm or fire alarm went off in the night for unknown reason. We opened the windows and door and this stopped the racket.
- Richard (10/5): - Great location
- Kai (10/5): - Great stay! Amazing location and nice town
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Capsule très agréable, bien aménagé, bien placé, accueil formidable.
- Ian (10/5): - The host was very friendly and informative. Let me know ahead of time which pod I would be in and how to access it. The area outside was relaxing with the sound of a stream going by. Easy to get to. The restaurant across the street has good food and the staff are very friendly.
- Sterling (10/5): Perfect Pods - The pods were magical. Perfect for the three of us. We slept on the bed and our son slept on the fold out couch. Close to restaurant and bakery and post office. And castle. Beautiful town.
- Philip (10/5): - Cute camping pods, bed small but comfy and cozy! Owner was great! Pod could use a tv, but only downside, would stay again
- Ashley (10/5): - John is a really nice guy to chat with and the place is a cozy and easy way to visit Skye.
- Lauren (10/5): - Fantastic glamping experience! Very responsive owner and lovely accommodations.
- Jannifer (10/5): - Loved the pods. Ask for pod 1 better view. Perfect for average sized adults. Shower and bed are smaller but was perfect for me and my husband.
- Sonia (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at the Dunvegan Camping Pods! In spite of the rain (oh, how it rained!) we were so comfortable and safe in our little "nest."
The tiny pod was incredibly well-equipped--since I'm neither as young nor as thin as I used to be, and I'm also dealing with a shoulder injury, it wasn't entirely easy for me to get in and out of the bed (which has to be accessed from the foot, since there's a wall on each side), but it was comfortable when I made it in! Absolutely not a problem with the pod--just a note to anyone who might have similar challenges!
Outside, a small stream runs right past the front door, and just beyond a gate there's a short walk to a lovely water view. Everything is landscaped nicely, and there are safe, well-designed paths from the pods to the parking area.
The hosts were really friendly and helpful, and the little cluster of pods was just steps away from restaurants and a village store. A few minutes drive got us to Dunvegan Castle (and its gorgeous gardens!), and a slightly longer drive took us to other beautiful locations on Skye (the drive to the Fairy Glen was a bit daunting, especially in the rain, but so very worth it!).
We had a really nice dinner at "The Misty" just up the road--fresh pizza AND waffles for dessert, and a lovely lunch in the cafe attached to Dunvegan Castle.
Thanks so much to our hosts for being so very kind and accommodating--we would absolutely stay again!
- Daniele (8/5): Una piccola botte - Bello e romantici! Tutte le necessità di base sono soddisfatte.
Potrebbe essere un po' umido e freddo, se le temperature si abbassano (isolato ma non riscaldato)
- Kristina (10/5): - A great clamping experience! Linens and towels provided. A small area where cooking an easy meal would be possible, and a bathroom with shower all in one pod! Dunvegan has some good food options within meters of the pods. A calm, quiet area in beautiful Skye. I would definitely go back and will highly recommend.
- Lorraine (10/5): - Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful quiet location. Take in local fare is you can. They are lovely. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again.
- Ashley (10/5): - Such a fun experience in the camping pods, super cute little space with everything you need. Nice and quiet, lovely scenic area with running water behind, would definitely recommend :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Small but very good place and location - Everything was perfect!
- Lindsey (10/5): - The hosts were very helpful. The camping pods were cute and cozy and it was close to amenities and Dunvegan Castle - walking distance as we didn’t have a car.
- John (10/5): - Great option for accommodations . The pod set up for sleeping, preparing meals and bathroom facilities all in one . Great set up for location dining option nearby and community nature walks all in reach by car or walking . Would have staying longer if I could , next time . Hosts has all the basics in the pod teas coffees and salt pepper . Just bring easy meal options and your set . Thanks
- Sean (10/5): - We really enjoyed our small pod. It was private, right next to a small creek and had everyhitng we needed. Owners were very responsive to a couple things we needed and were a great help. We would totally stay again.
- P (10/5): - Pods are a bit small but cosy great way of camping must bri g them to Greece
- Christine (10/5): - Sehr nettes pod!!
Für 2 Personen perfekt und für 3 erwachsene etwas eng, aber sehr romantisch und idyllisch!!!
Sehr empfehlenswert!!
- Heidi (10/5): - Host was super accommodating and helpful. Loved having a little building to ourselves.
- Gladys (10/5): - Totally love sour stay in ‘Gorm 4’. Our pod backed onto the post office which was a blessing. Great communication and service from owner, easy parking, great essentials (portable worktop cooker, saucepans, cutlery, washing up liquid, tea, coffee and sugar (all individually wrapped).
Covid safe. Covid safe certification. Picnic table outside the pod. Bed was BEYOND comfy! En-suite bathroom is a godsend! Love it and would go back in a flash!
- Jennifer (10/5): Neat Pods! - Great pods! We are now considering buying one for ourselves! Comfy inside with a nice deck outside. Very clean.
- Martin (10/5): Hot Night in a Pod - Everything one could hope for in accommodation with limited space. The only real criticism was the duvet. It was rather more suited to an artic blast in January rather than a mild week in September.
- Amy (8/5): Small but functional - The pods are tiny but well equipped. We had a microwave, hob (plug in), kettle and mini fridge. We never really got the hang of kitchen tap so used to kettle to heat water for washing up. If you are a petite person the proportions of the bathroom will be fine but are a little tight if you are of a larger build. The wifi speed was very good and we were able to stream on our laptop with no issues. We found the duvet a bit heavy/warm but that may be down to the time of year. Good location for the top of Skye, situated behind the post office with a parking space for each pod. There are shops and places to eat located nearby.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great little pod, nice and cosy for a family of 4. Note beds are not massive if u have older bigger kids ( age 12 ) but it does the job. We left our suit cases in the car to save room but all in all it was great. Microwave came in handy and all cooking utensils are supplied.
Nice and clean and friendly owners.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super nice, friendly owners. Very clean, and well situated for local shops and places to eat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely loved our pod! It was super clean and so fresh. With wooden pods I was worried it might smell damp but as soon as I stepped in my worries were gone.
It smelled absolutely beautiful, in fact everything did from cushions to bedding to the towels.
There was plenty of space for myself, my partner, our two toddlers and a puppy. Beds are really comfortable and we've slept really well. Cannot fault a thing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful quiet area, surrounded by green and peace! Loved the pods, well kept and extremely clean! Definitely recommended! Overall such a lovely stay, we’ll definitely go back!
- Alastair (10/5): Wonderful stay - Lovely stay, would definately recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our pod was cleverly designed, well constructed and well appointed. It was also very clean and tidy on arrival. This review perhaps says more about us than the pod but we like a little space around us indoors and there wasn’t much to speak of. We are both 60 and no longer as nimble, flexible or supple as we used to be so a pod proved not to be our ideal accommodation and we probably would not stay in one again but as already stated, nothing at all wrong with the accommodation - it was just us that didn’t quite fit.
- Alun (10/5): - I didn't really know what to expect from a Camping Pod, but found them delightful. Everything you need, a little compact, but bright and fresh and scrupulously clean. Communication in the lead up to our visit was clear and helpful - they were easy to find, close to helpful amenities and parking wasn't an issue. I'd certainly recommend them and would love to visit again.
- Anne (10/5): - Amazing from start to finish, would go back any time I could x
- Rebekah (10/5): - Lovely pods extremely clean and the staff were so friendly would definitely return. Highly recommend
- Anne (10/5): Lovely break - Dunvegan was a great base on Skye and the pod worked really well. Very well equipped and lovely spot. Double bed quite cosy - but no surprises there!
- Pascale (10/5): - Lovely clean pod, well situated in Dunvegan. Would stay here again.
- Lisa (10/5): - Loved it, had everything we needed including towels and bedding
- James (10/5): This pod is great - Loved the pod clean tidy and cosy . A great base for Skye. Comes with coffee tea towels its like a mini good hotel . Owner was friendly and helpful. The pull out sofa was comfy for my daughter (14) . It is done with style . I am a new pod fan!
- Ash (10/5): - Our camping pod was spotless and had a number of thoughtful touches such as milk, salt, pepper, tea, coffee etc to get us started. The pods are conveniently situated with the post office just in front, and amenities such as restaurants/takeaways, petrol pump and grocery store within a short 5-10 minute walk on the same road. The grounds within which the pods are situated are green, well kept and pleasing, and there is a lovely little stream running through them. The pods are a genuinely wonderful little hideaway with everything you need very conveniently situated. Last but not least, the hosts are among the kindest, most helpful and warm people we have ever met - they were so nice to the kids and even gave them some stickers while we were leaving.
- Shawna (10/5): These pods and their location are amazing! - My parents had pod number 4 and my husband, 8 year old son and I stayed in number 3. We were all cozy and had such a great time sleeping in these tidy little pods. The owners are lovely and were very easy to communicate with. The Old School Restaurant across the street was open each night and they have delicious food and drinks, a friendly staff and an excellent atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Immaculately clean camping pod , nice and cosy.
Easy to find.
Free parking close to the pods.
Nice setting.
- Daniel (6/5): Scotland roadtrip - A step up from camping, but has potential to be so much more.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The pods accommodated four adults quite comfortably. The sofa bed is a little hard on bits, however we managed to sleep on them quite comfortably.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pod-like genius - Surprisingly comfortable and cosy. Friendly and helpful welcome
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was lovely. The nicest part was the setting and the little lake right at the front which the kids played in. The pod itself was super cute and there were lovely additions like tea, coffee, butter and a little packet of shortbread. There was plenty of bedding, towels and toiletries and sitting outside to eat was lovely. The pod was very small so we would struggle to do longer than 2 nights but for fans of camping this wouldn’t be a problem I am sure.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great little spot, will certainly recommend to others!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The pods were very clean and compact. They are in a very peaceful area and we had a great stay here. Check in was easy and the owners were very helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fajny obiekt
Czysto miło i przyjemnie, domek wpełni wyposażony ,mili właściciele
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The pods are charming, in a very nice location. Comfortable bed, you have everything you need.
- Maureen (10/5): - Lovely little spot with everything we needed, cosy, snug, would definitely be a bit of a squeeze for >2 people but since we were only sleeping there that was fine.
- Kira (8/5): - The camping pods were very nice and cute. A bit squeezy with 4 adults but we knew that, and we were okay with that. The sofa bed was uncomfortable but with limited space it wasn’t too bad. The staff were very nice and asked us if we were okay and answered any of our questions.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Very cozy, walking distance to all amenities, freindly host.
