The space is clean, bright, and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to navigate. The gardens are lovely, and the pool area is spacious and relaxing. The restaurant is amazing, serving both breakfast and dinner, with large windows that are easy to manage and plenty of tables available. It’s difficult to find any faults with this hotel. The only thing would be the beach across the path was difficult to navigate mainly due to the recent storm. However this has no reflection on the hotel at all as other beaches are within easy access.

Fresh meats at buffet dinner well prepared and cooked but some meats lacking in quality by comparison with Irish meats. Evening entertainment offering falls short of what might be expected from a hotel of this size.

We greatly appreciated the breakfast, which was truly excellent. The staff were always very attentive to the services and to the guests’ needs. Our room had a wonderful view of the ocean. Another thing I really appreciated was how quiet the room was, which made our stay exceptionally pleasant. I would slightly improve the pool bar service. The spa is small, but I think it is more than adequate for the Canary Islands

- Catharina (9/5): - Prachtige kamer die goed werd schoongehouden. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet en ook het avondeten buffet was heerlijk. Vriendelijke personeel in restaurant, bar en ook bij het zwembad. We hebben echt genoten van onze vakantie. Fijn ook het buitenzitje cq balkonnetje bij de kamer, zodat je nog ff daar kon zitten. Leuk dat er muziek was bij de bar. Geen minpunten.

The only meal I ate in the hotel was the breakfast so I can’t comment on the rest but it had a wide variety of options and I can’t say I didn’t like one thing I tried it was all good. They also offered a wide variety of activities and tours to be done around the island. There was no indoor pool, but that’s only a personal preference. The outdoor pool was nice and big as well as being heated.

- Catriona (8/5): Lovely overall - Everything Got a cocktail at the pool bar. It blew over in the wind. Thought the staff would replace it as a gesture of good will but I had to pay to replace it.

Gym, spa and pool facilities were well equipped and presented. The gardens are beautiful. Food was incredible. Les chambres belles et propres, les buffets petits déj et du soir copieux et très varié. Magnifique jardin de cactus et de plantes exotiques parfaitement entretenu. Rarement vu un hôtel avec tant de confort, du personnel si gentil, nous y retournerons! Merci pour cette belle expérience❤️ Rien!
- Mihaela (10/5): An excellent seaside stay with great service, spacious rooms, and a high overall standard. - Hotel Lava met all of our expectations. It is located directly by the sea, next to a beautiful seaside promenade, and the hotel surroundings are very well maintained and visually appealing. Everything was clean, especially the room, which was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and professional. Whenever minor misunderstandings occurred, they were resolved immediately, and the team truly went the extra mile to ensure our stay was excellent, as one would expect from a five-star hotel. Breakfast was excellent, while dinner quality depended on the daily menu. The only aspect that was not fully satisfying was the lack of an indoor relaxation area within the sauna facilities. During our stay, the weather was windy and rainy, and since the relaxation zone is only outdoors, we missed having an indoor space to relax after using the sauna.
- Liz (8/5): A good value hotel in seafront . - Very comfortable rooms with great terrace overlooking beach. Good value food & drink. Excellent gym & fitness classes. Lacked atmosphere. Bar , reception & central areas all very characterless. Staff were efficient but not particularly friendly. Room cleaning took place very late in day at times. Didn’t like all the touristy bars & Restuarant’s in the area of Puerto Del Carmen. Did like being able to walk along sea front for miles.

- John (9/5): Great value 5 star - Spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Small touches such as complimentary champagne on arrival. Drink prices reasonable for a 5 star property. We saw no children around. Couples spa fab. Small gripe, the entrance door is unimpressive for a 5 star property but after that if all gets better.

- Edwige (9/5): Très bel endroit au calme - Bel établissement situé devant la mer, au calme. J'ai apprécié le petit déjeuner, la chambre 1012 au calme, au soleil, face au jardin avec la mer. La machine à café, l'eau gratuite tous les jours, la literie. Le parking sous terrain. L'accueil avec une coupe de bulles. Le jeune homme qui a porté nos valises . Le spa, massage top, belle salle de gym . Cours collectifs (je n'ai pas essayé car je n'avais pas de tenue de gym) Le buffet du soir pourrait être plus élaboré pour un 5 étoiles. Pas assez de fruits frais. Et toujours les mêmes. Ça pourrait être plus propre dans les parties communes (toile d'araignée au plafond et poussière dans les beaux fauteuils en velours). Jamais d'eau disponible dans la salle de sport. Je n'ai pas essayé le resto à la carte car j'étais en demi pension. Pas beaucoup de choix au snack et pas assez élaboré pour un 5 étoiles). En résumé très bel hôtel, il manque juste un petit qqch pour que ce soit parfait

Hotel is on the beach. 6 mins from airport. €7 in a taxi to Peurto Del Carmen. Staff were extremely friendly. Absolutely beautiful hotel. Lunch and room service food wasn't great.

- Ciana (7/5): Nice hotel, good location but not worth the money. - The hotel was in a great location. Very close to the airport and a short walk to pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The pool was lovely and there was plenty of sun loungers. The aqua aerobics was very enjoyable. We stayed in room 1337. The shower is over the bath and it is lethal dangerous to get in and out of. We are a young couple so this room would absolutely not be suitable for older couples. The hotel is a 5 star and the price is expensive as we didn't feel we got our value for money. There was a espresso coffee machine in the room. You received 6 coffee pods for the duration of your stay, if you required more, you had to pay for them. We felt this was a bit cheap as the pods are inexpensive and the hotel is not. When we arrived, we were also informed that there was a policy in place to remove towels from sun loungers if bathers were not in attendance for a certain period however this didn't happen. Also, we arrived late (approx midnight). Thankfully the staff had informed us to eat on the flight as there would be no options available for us when we arrived as room service stopped at 9pm which we thought was very early.

Free water every day. Towels Robes very fluffy. All was likeable. Pool could be warmer. House keeping came early but it was not an issue. Nit picking really.
