Guest Reviews
- Yiming (2/5): - The descriptionn
- Taylor (6/5): - Room was clean but TV kept going in and out losing connection and the fireplace did not work. Was disappointed because really wanted to have the fire going for our stay and one of the reasons we chose this booking. Hot tub jets did not work either in the sunstone building where we were. So felt like most of the amenities we paid a resort fee for, weren’t working. Free parking was nice.
- shiuan (8/5): - It's better
- Preety (10/5): - Clean room with all the amenties
- Floridel (10/5): - This property are perfect for more than 6 people just bring your food to cook silverware or frying pan, soap, plates , rice cooker, salt n pepper etc.. are provided but bring your oil n food to cook..this property are clean and the best room I have to so far.
- JACKIE (8/5): - Very good
- Sunghee (10/5): - Spacious rooms, staffs
- James (10/5): - Amazing
- Lucero (10/5): - Had a great stay! The staff were super helpful and the rooms were spacious. The best part was the complimentary transportation and it’s also so easy getting around town.
- JASON (10/5): - This was our second stay this October. One bedroom condo is perfect cozy size for me and my wife. Staff here are amazing. Very friendly, responsive to requests, and helpful. It's about a mile from the Village and town, so it feels more private. Noise from the pool can be annoying since its kept open until 10 pm. There's no A/C (for hotter days) or central heat (for colder days), so inside temperature is difficult to control. Plus, it depends which way the condo faces as far as having a breeze or no breeze and the windows don't fully open. Easy underground parking. Nice amenities. Love having a kitchenette with full refrigerator. Mattress is not the most comfortable but the linens are very nice.
- Elizabeth (6/5): - We stayed in October so no skiing and only had a view of the parking lot. It’s a nice hotel but the carpet in our room was stained. The beds were comfortable. Mammoth Lakes are worth visiting. What a magnificent location.
- Armen (6/5): - Dated, not clean. Location isolated, but quiet.
- Heather (6/5): - Been wanting to stay here for a while since it's mountain adjacent for skiing - glad we got to stay here at a very discounted rate during the summertime to check it out.
The hallway ceiling on the first floor is low, dimly lit and feels tired. We checked into a 2-bedroom corner condo which was nicely appointed for the kitchen which we did use to it's full capacity. We were glad to have the opportunity for access to the patio, but unfortunately it was not furnished for us to take advantage of sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air.
The staff were very accommodating & helpful and the maintenance staff were very responsive when we brought an issue to their attention shortly after we checked in. The property does have underground parking, but it's not directly accessible from inside the hotel. There are a lot of pools to choose from as well as a combo coffee / gift store which is handy (when it's open).
In summary, our curiosity has been satisfied and we'll be looking to stay elsewhere during the ski season for the rates they normally charge.
- James (10/5): - The room was comfortable but needs some updating.
- Honghui (10/5): - Front desk is very helpful
- Kay (10/5): - Good location and easy parking!
- JEFFREY (10/5): - The hotel is located at the base of the ski area and is close to area shops and restaurants. It is surrounded by beautiful forest. The rooms are well decorated and have all the amenities for a long stay. The pool and hot tub area is very nice and parking is located under the property, which made it very easy to come and go during our stay.
- Hong (10/5): - Very clean and quiet
- Imran (6/5): - The rooms were amazing, with a full size kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 1 room had an attached bathroom. It was good enough for my family. However, what ruined it was the staff. One guy was very rude. We had a party of 5 families in different floors but we'd all get together in the lobby and hang out. The staff would always be warning us to be quiet even though there was another wedding party that made a lot more noise. Even during check-in while we were waiting for him to attend to an existing guest, he was quite rude to the guest and almost rolling his eyes and then taking to us. We asked if there are any other rooms and his response was NO... If the staff are not happy to work there then they should not be in the hospitality business.
Other than that the property was great, even had 2 Jacuzzi's swimming pool and 2 BBQ gas grills. These grills were so clean as if they were brand new. The pool timing was from 10 am - 10 pm so wished they could keep it open longer.
I'd recommend this property for the rooms itself. We enjoyed it but don't expect to much from staff. Only 1 guy was awesome and friendly.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Beautiful view from our two bed room condo. Staff were extremely helpful, pleasant, friendly and attentive. Room and beds were nice and very comfortable. Pool and hot tubs were perfect after hiking. Would definitely stay here again.
- ARACELI (8/5): - Our condo was a decent size. We stayed in the Condo with a King bed and balcony. Unfortunately we were on the side where the workers driver through so it gor a bit noisy in the morning. We found clothes in the drawers from the precious guest so that challenged the cleanliness of the room for us. Also I was disappointed with the overall full service housekeeping while we were out. The only made the bed and didnt even restock toilet paper, towels or clean the kitchen/dishes.
All staff seemed friendly for the most part. Not a bad spot in town at all. There is a trolley in the parking lot if you dont want to drive.
We stayed for a week and saw first snow. No skiing on this trip.
- Roxana (6/5): - Room was clean but carpet was old with stains and in need of replacement. Bed and pillows were not comfortable, need upgrading. The condo was spacious with a well equipped kitchenette, although a bigger coffee maker would be nice. Place was quiet in general but footsteps from upstairs could be heard. Good parking.
- Justin (10/5): - very nice and quiet
- Sheida (10/5): - Everything was within a short driving distance. The staff was friendly. Nice place to stay for a group of hikers.
- sara (10/5): - clean and cozy
- Aaron (10/5): - It’s everything you would expect from a resort at a ski resort.
- Shambu (10/5): - Beautiful property, we stayed in a 2 bedroom and it was spacious and clean.
- Courtney (10/5): - We loved our stay here and size of the room plus balcony was very nice!
- Amy (10/5): - Super nice spacious room with two king beds! Absolutely would stay again.
- Allen (6/5): - Condos all around but could see the sky & the mountain. Great view of the moon.
- Scott (10/5): - The view of the Mountains from our room was spectacular. As early risers we saw some outstanding sun rises. Everything great.
- Marc (6/5): - Good and safe place
- Jesus (10/5): - Very clean room! Staff was amazing and the views are beautiful.
- Laura (10/5): - We stayed in a 1 bedroom Condo which was spotless and far more modern than the pictures of the room, it must have been recently done up! The kitchen facilities were brilliant and clean, I felt like we had everything we needed in order to cook a meal like at home. The bed was really comfortable and the bedroom being away from the front door meant that it was basically silent in the night which was a dream!! The pool area and hot tubs were lovely. There's no bar / restaurant on site but plenty in the area.
If anyone is keen on stargazing, while you're in Mammoth Lakes be sure to head to Minaret Vista point after dark to see the milkyway and millions of stars! Must see!!
- Vern (10/5): - 1st class resort. Great facility and staff
- Alan (10/5): - View was great
- Michael (10/5): - Amazing
- susan (10/5): - Spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet, good bed.
- Tammy (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the shower had great water pressure and temperature. We did not use the kitchen, only stayed the weekend, but it would be great on longer stays. The bed was just ok in comfort.
- Astrid (10/5): - great facility and very reasonably priced during off season
- Nini (8/5): - The room needs some refreshing.. there is odor probably from spoiled food from the previous guest?
- Leigh (10/5): - Our room was renovated and very clean. Great location and perfect for families.
- Yvette (10/5): - Such a beautiful resort. My room had a great Mountain View & was so spacious. Loved the 3 hot tubs and heated pool as well. Can’t wait to be back.
- Linda Campos (8/5): - This was an adequate condo but we would look for something closer to meeting our needs in the future.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Great for multi night stays. Welcoming staff, nice accommodations - no complaints...will stay here again.
- Atul (8/5): - Nice hotel, but no ac. Was a little hot in august.
- Thomas (8/5): - Paper thin floors and walls. you can hear every door open and close. Every footstep above. Good spot, comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need.
- SEOKJU (10/5): - Good
- Kassie (10/5): Great - Great resort. Very clean with all the amenities. Pool was heated. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Easy check-in and check-out experience.
- Nathan (10/5): - Check in very pleasant and helpful
- SOPHIA (8/5): - Shower head and faucet's water were coming out the same time. More worse things were faucet's water flowing amount bigger than shower head amount. We're showering like in river.
- Deblin (10/5): - Family friendly and great staff
- Andrea (8/5): - The hotel is nice a little outdated, the rooms very spacious; the only issue is that smells a lot like cigarettes
- Nicholas (10/5): - Beautiful views of the mountains, close to town center, friendly staff
- Melissa (10/5): - It's a great property! Well kept and has all the amenities!
- James (8/5): - Beautiful view from our room!
- Tracy (8/5): - We really liked this property. It was clean, convenient and we really liked having a full kitchen. We were able to have breakfast and put together lunches to take on our hikes. Eating at restaurants for every meal, gets old quickly. The only downsides were the furniture was pretty beat up, but I'm sure that's expected due to being a ski resort. And, the fridge kept freezing our drinks, even when we turned down the temp. That being said, those items wouldn't stop us from staying here again. We will definitely be staying here again.
- Jean (10/5): - Convenient and accessible to everything. We enjoyed being there off season and through the week. It made for a quiet and peaceful stay and we enjoyed the company of some locals and other visitors.
- Alexander (10/5): - Clean
- Carla (10/5): - Spectacular views , cozy feeling , nice kitchen and friendly staff .
Thank you
- Larry (6/5): - Facility a little out of date./ No air conditioning.
- Rosalie (10/5): - Everything was great, although the condo could be updated. Condo is very worn, needs updating. Other than that it was clean, comfortable and relaxing.
- Tracy (8/5): - While we enjoyed our 1-night stay here, there are a few things to be aware of: the rooms are fairly dated, and the additional costs. We found our 1-bedroom suite to be dark, tucked as it was into a corner. There were numerous stains on the carpet, to the point where it appeared almost dirty. The couch and chairs were similarly stained and dated. There is no AC in the units, meaning a hot sleep, even with the screened window open. I was surprised at the additional charges for both parking and “resort” fees. Take these costs into account when booking, as they add quite a bit to your final bill. All up, a nice place and location to stay at, but some serious work needs to be put into modernising the whole hotel!
- Jose (10/5): - Nice place to go in and out. It’s not far from the action
- Mykola (10/5): - I absolutely loved my stay at Juniper Springs Resort! The location is unbeatable — right by the lifts, making it so easy to enjoy the slopes. The condo was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to a cozy fireplace.
The staff were friendly and attentive, always willing to help and make sure my stay was comfortable. The hot tubs and pool were a perfect way to relax after a day of skiing.
Overall, Juniper Springs Resort offers the perfect combination of convenience, comfort, and great service. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mammoth!
- Rose (4/5): - The good - staff was nice, room was clean. The bad - hotub jets didn't work on all 3 hotubs and no air conditioning. Our room was super hot and couldn't sleep a wink. The small ceiling fan didn't help.
- Denise (8/5): - Just ok
- Laura (10/5): - Love the condo, the view was amazing. Very quiet and condo was very clean. I am very happy with my stay.
Will definitely reserve again there.
- karen (10/5): Our favorite place to stay - Many took great care of us, moving us to an incredible room after we had problems with people upstairs making too much news for us. The room was perfect: clean with a very comfortable sofa and bed, great water pressure in the shower, and quiet. Perfect in every way.
- Tom (8/5): - I did not like the TV no cable for football or TV unless you pay for it.
- Rebecca (10/5): - The staff at check in were great!
- RAY AND LORIE (8/5): Great Moutain Views - The carpet & couch/chair in this unit are in desparate need of help, not in good condition (stains). Unit has a great view of the mountains. Love that each unit has a balcony. Unfortunately, the air quality was poor during our stay due to the fires. It did not stop us from doing some hikes around the lakes. Mammoth Lakes has so much to offer and we plan on revisiting when the air is clear.
- Josh (10/5): - Staff is very friendly and always willing to help.
- Kian (6/5): - Very friendly staff. Excellent location. Property is in dire need of a renovation.
- William (6/5): - Generally the property is kept up and well managed. The units are evidently individually owned so the quality of each unit may vary depending on the effort of the owner to keep the unit up to date. Our condo was not up to date. The condo was built in 2000. Does not appear out unit has been updated since that time. Furniture was worn and drab. Kitchen appliances appeared to be original 2000. The unit I comfortable and the bed is good. The unit was clean.
- James (10/5): Nice getaway - Went to just get out of town. View from top floor was amazing. Good room with nice balcony. Convenient to town. I'd stay again.
- Dustin (10/5): Worth every cent! - Amazing 5 Star. Only issue was the fire pit was down. Other than that, absolutely love this place. Will be back in the future! Can’t beat the stocked kitchen, just bring food and drinks. Mountain views from our balcony was top notch. A deer was down below us eating grass. The heated pool and hot tub are A+ in the crisp Mtn air. My son asked if we could live here! They even lent us a board game one evening.
- Susan (8/5): - U
- Joel (8/5): - great location to start on bike trails. Quiet. I was not impressed by Vons supermarket at all. Terrible stock conditions and needs some money spent on remodel. Looks like a cash cow for Safeway/Albertson or whoever owns it now. Lucky not too have any competition. Parking in the Village area very challenging.
- Khadiza (10/5): - I love everything! Except shower need to have adjustment for water pressure! Handheld attachment would be a better option too for shower
- Nauman (2/5): - We stayed at Juniper Springs Resort on August 31st for what was supposed to be a 2-day stay, but it turned into a nightmare. The first night, we discovered a mouse (possibly even a rat) in our room, which made it impossible to get any sleep. When we reported it, the management refunded the second night since we canceled, but only gave us 30% off the first night—even though we spent the whole night uncomfortable and disturbed.
For a place that calls itself a “resort,” this was extremely disappointing. The experience felt more like staying in a low-end motel than anything close to a 3-star or higher property. Cleanliness and basic comfort should be the minimum standard, and unfortunately, Juniper Springs Resort failed on both. I would not recommend staying here.
- Luis (10/5): - Great location and friendly staff 👌
- Umang (10/5): - Everything was good except I found a mouse in the condo.
- Taras (10/5): - It was a great hotel to stay at and a perfect place to meet up with my friends from the Ukrainian national ski team.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Love value with a mouse - I thought it was expensive and we had a mouse in our room
- Katelyn (10/5): Highly Recommend - Amazing property in a great location. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and coffee shop is a nice perk in the mornings. Would absolutely stay again.
- Gilsoon (10/5): - I like the maintenance of the kitchen.
- diane (10/5): - Rooms were very up to date and modern
- Petr (10/5): - Amazing
- Ector (8/5): - The scenery was nice
- Raymond (10/5): - Clean comfortable and spacious rooms
- Sophie (8/5): - The mammoth experience in the summer is very peaceful. It’s great to see families enjoying the outdoors and then coming back to the hotel to relax and grill by the pool and jacuzzi. Refreshing to see happy people on vacation!!
The rooms are comfortable. I wasn’t aware that none of the hotels have AC but if you sleep with the windows open and fans on it’s actually quite cool and enjoyable to hear the fresh breeze outside. It was helpful to have a fridge and freezer to keep our food and refreeze our ice packs for our day cooler. If anything they probably just need to do a few updates on things like light fixtures, decor but not necessary. All in all a very decent place to stay for an affordable price. The staff were very friendly and helpful too! I was able to charge my car overnight for free. And it was convenient to get a coffee in the shop downstairs in the morning before heading out for the day. Thank you Juniper springs resort.
- Yadira (10/5): - Nice, quiet clean property.
Spacious rooms. Close to all lakes and main lodge
- Mari (10/5): - A beautiful hotel with a nice view from our 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms with a full kitchen. Will come back!
- Maya (10/5): Great hotel esp. for families - Reception was exceptional. I heard one of two staffers clearly at check-in. The gentleman, believe his name is Kevin, was super helpful and friendly while also efficient, aware that there was a line. I was impressed.
The pool at the front building was well attended by many happy children. There is a second building, also w a pool and hot tub that was less packed. My stay was 3 nights a one bedroom unit w sitting area, kitchen and a balcony. Units are owned by individuals so there are variations. Clean, and though not brand new, comfortable furnishings. Mattress, pillows, sheets good. Noise between units acceptable. Under building parking was easy. There are no dining options around the hotel- these are a quick drive away.
- James (10/5): - Very Good
- Lawrence (6/5): Meh! - The room had no air conditioning and since it was the summer sleeping was an issue. We had to keep the windows open to get a breeze, so we heard the neighbors at night and were met with daylight at 6 am. This was also the first time I stayed at a resort where the cleaning staff didn't come in and take out the garbage or make the bed. And finally, i mistakenly left a couple of pairs of hiking shorts in the room when I checked out. When I called the next day to inquire if they could send them to me they said there was nothing found in my room. Hmmm, I wonder where they could have gone?
- Moshe (10/5): - Everything was great. Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and functional. Pool and spa are great with addition of BBQ area that you can cook for yourself.
- EUI JEONG (10/5): - Overall everything is good
- Agustin (8/5): - Good summer trip for the family. The room was great and the staff was friendly.
