Alexis (2/5): CAUTION/WARNING/ADVERTENCIA/TEM CUIDADO - While the room was large and very nicely decorated, it vibrated all night long as cars went by on the cobblestone road. First, for 500 USD a night, I would expected some hair conditioner and more than one small bar of soap to split between the sink and the shower. Second, every time a car went down the street, the room vibrated making it feel like a small tremor. Third, the hotel is not located in the center of town, it took us 20 minutes to walk to the Parque Central. However, my biggest WARNING/CAUTION/ADVERTENICA/TEM CUIDADO: THIS HOTEL IS NOT HONEST AND DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR WORD. The property granted me, in writing, to enter one night later, yet they still charged me to for three nights rather than two. When I complained they were rude and aggressive, despite my having written proof. See attached picture of my communication. I asked to enter on April 4th and leave, as had always been the case, on Monday, April 6th. They outright accused me of leaving one day early when I went to check out on April 6th. I NEVER ask to leave on April 7th, in fact, in the communication in the photo below, you can see I specifically reiterated that I would still be leaving on Monday morning, April 6th, as was the original reservation. All I asked was to enter one day later and according to this message, they made a one time exception and allowed me to enter on April 4th. THIS HOTEL DOESN'T STAND BY ITS WORD. I HAVE WRITTEN PROOF. YOU BE THE JUDGE. AND THEY WERE NEVER ONCE APOLOGETIC, ONLY RUDE.

Nos gustaría una mayor variedad en el desayuno que si bien es riquísimo y generoso podrían implementar una o dos opciones más a elección del huésped cuando esté incluído en el valor pues en estadías de más de dos días resulta aburrido comer todos los días lo mismo. Ampliar también la variedad de ropa service

La gerente fue muy grosera y literalmente nos extendió la sábana del cuarto para preguntarnos por una mancha lo cual me pareció totalmente fuera de lugar. No les gusta cambiar las toallas durante la estadía. Tienen un reglamento bastante ridículo. Si van con niños ni pesarlo, no sobrevivirían a un accidente o a una travesura pues son minuciosos en cuanto a manchas en sus “blancos” cero capacidad de resolver problemas y atención al cliente. Solo terminamos la estadía por que no nos devolvieron el dinero.

Andrea (2/5): multiple issues disrupting our vacation and causing lost time and stress - The villa was spacious and had a kitchenette - there were ants. - the listing on booking.com was wrong and stated the villa had two double beds and one king bed. it had two double beds and a queen bed. with much effort, we were moved to a room with two double beds and a king bed but it was not a villa and didn’t have a kitchen. we were not refunded for the down grade - there was no hot water in the villa. we were told that it was normal, but when we were begged to moved to a new room, there was not water. - we were told we “miss used the room” and they threatened to charge us an additional $100 for sweating in a pillow a normal amount. they embarrassingly said it was an astronomical amount of sweating that they have never seen before. they had to put the pillow in the sun for one hour, which doesn’t seem like a real problem. - upon check in they told us breakfast was extra but it had been included in the booking.com reservation, causing us to not use the free meals we paid for. - there was no spa, despite a door being labeled “spa” - this is in no way a four star hotel

Marjorie (2/5): Tarifa vs beneficio hay hoteles tipo pensión que te ofrecen lo mismo - Las habitaciones y jardín La atención no sé si es la dueña pero super fatal, pagamos $475.00 por noche, al menos esperas que Boutique sea Boutique, pero no, lo único rescatable es que es bonito y limpio pero no vale esa tarifa. El desayuno solo son frijoles, huevos, queso y café por esa tarifa te esperas algo mejor al menos.

The property itself is stunning, with beautiful decoration that perfectly reflects the charm and style of Antigua. From the moment we arrived, we truly felt immersed in an authentic Antigua experience. I was working remotely during our stay, and the biggest surprise was the incredible internet connection — over half a gigabyte of bandwidth, even from the rooftop! It made working from Antigua not only possible but enjoyable. The staff were simply amazing. Monica, Glenda, José, Luis, Juan and everyone on the team made us feel like family from day one. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth made our stay extra special. Breakfasts were delicious, and the coffee was exceptional — a true highlight of every morning. The views from the terrace at 7 a.m., with the volcano in the distance, were unforgettable. The peaceful environment, just on the edge of Antigua’s center, gave us the perfect balance of quiet relaxation while still being close to everything. We cannot thank Casa Faustina enough for making our time in Antigua so memorable. Without a doubt, when we return to Antigua, we’ll be staying here again.

Uno de los puntos mas altos fue despertar, caminar por su terraza con una vista Espectacular al Volcán de Agua que te quita el aliento; ademas las amenidades y los servicios del hotel son de gran calidad, pude disfrutar de un relajante momento en el Spa que fue el toque final para una estadía de ensueño. This is a small, cozy hotel with a lot of charm. It is located a bit outside the city center, which makes it quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the service during regular hours was excellent. However, one MAJOR ISSUE seriously affected our experience: after-hours access to the hotel. We were told in advance not to worry, that someone would be there for us no matter what time we returned. That gave us the confidence to go out and enjoy our night. But one night, we were COMPLETELY LOCKED OUT after 10 PM with no way to get in. We tried everything. We knocked, rang the bell, and called over 30 times, but no one answered. We waited and tried for OVER an hour. It was very stressful, especially because this was a girls-only trip, and being stranded alone late at night added real risk and unnecessary anxiety. “The next day, we were told it was a mistake from a new staff member” But again, we had asked in advance and were clearly told we would not have a problem. We managed to get help from close by friend we knew, but another guest had to leave and pay for a last-minute place to sleep at 2 AM. The hotel gave us a voucher, but since we live abroad and it is only valid for four months, it is not a useful solution.

Me cobraram por um ovo extra que pedi todos os dias e por um copo de leite frio que também pedi todos os dias, quase 10 USD. O café da manhã é demorado o que me atrasou a saída várias vezes. É necessário pedir na recepção, só aí que vão fazê-lo. Um dos dias não havia pão, enfim, parecia um 2 estrelas, economia muito barata mesmo. Pelo preço, há muitas opções melhores.

Monsalve (10/5): Amazing stay , a home away from home - From the moment we walked in till the the day we checked out everyone was very kind and welcoming, very helpful with any question or anything you needed . The two ladies in the front desk and Rodrigo and also the young boy during the night time. The front desk recommended an excellent tour guide for all excursions we needed . Felt very safe in the property , a very homey feel to it. Our rooms were cleaned and cozy. Not a lot of natural light but well for resting after a long day of walking. A beautiful view to the volcan de fuego. Highly recommend More breakfast selections ,incorporate more traditional dishes. Everything else was excellent

Sammy-Joe (2/5): - At first this hotel was starting to look like we did a great job of booking it. Everything was ok until 500usd went missing. My cousin left her purse with the cash that she wasn’t using. Her room didn’t have any safe. She left her purse under her pillow from the first day we got there thinking it would be secure. The first day we headed out, the hotel ask if we wanted house keeping. I said yes because that’s what I always do when I go on vacation. She mentioned that her money was left in her purse and she was a bit worried. Anyways we got back in after a long day she checked the purse and her money was there. So now she felt a little bit better leaving her stuff. Big mistake! This time she put her purse in her belongings. Sunday for some reason she check and all the money was gone. We looked everywhere, still no money. She never left the room with that purse mainly because she had Guatemalan currency with her when we were going out. We told the hotel manager immediately, the morning we were leaving she came and look through the room as if that would have helped anyways still no money. The hotel manager offered NO form of compensation at all! They did absolutely nothing to assist us we know people lie about stuff like this so it’s really our word against house keeping. But come on, they could have taken off a night or two, or even offer us a complimentary stay if we ever came back. They could have done something! She just left and didn’t care about her guest experience.

Debbie (10/5): Amazing Luxury Hotel with a Rustic touch. - I really liked the location. we went during independence day and the city was very crowded and busy, luckily our hotel was just enough away from the commotion to get a good nights rest. The hotel was beautiful and had views of the surrounding volcanoes. The breakfast was tasty, and the entire staff was very helpful to any of our questions about the city. The property also has parking!
