We were surprised that the window of breakfast was only offered from 7.45am-9am so a very short window of time! Lots of things not open in Launceston until 10am so basically just had to hang out in our room until then. Small complaint though….the breakfast was nice!

- Marianne (8/5): I would stay there again. Beautiful building and good value for money - Super stylish , clean and very central. Walking distance to everywhere and needed to go. Just opposite a garden if you want to sit on a bench and relax. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I did t use the facility to the max as I juts had one night. The only thing I noticed was an odd smell in the room. And if I opened the window it was very noisy.

The breakfast area was lovely to sit in (see photo) We were in Room 5 for 2 nights and the room had a bedroom window and bathroom window. Both were blanked out - there was no view from either window. This was disappointing. Otherwise the room was good.

I called The Florence hotel to explain and they advised me to cancel the booking through Booking.com. When The Florence received the cancellation they very kindly refunded the full amount. - Deian (7/5): - Nice location in Launceston centre. Pleasant staff. Good value. The room was slightly small; would have preferred the wash basin to be in the bathroom rather than the bedroom. Little choice for breakfast.

- Annie (9/5): Boutique hotel - Lovely conservatory area with plenty of local guides and books. Opposite the park, righr next t9 the centre of town. I had room 2, ground floor at the front. There was a lot of traffic noise from early morning to the evening.

- Maree (10/5): A peaceful,artistic, heritage place that was very welcoming. - We loved the staff, location, the heritage building and the healthy breakfast. The conservatory where breakfast was served was also set up with comfortable lounges, reading material. The tall windows captured the sun making it a space,if you had time to relax and read. Loved that we had a window looking out over the park. I would have found the steep driveway challenging but my husband said it was fine and great to have free parking.
