- kevin (10/5): - Our room..Mallard suite..was comfortable clean well equipped..lovely bathroom..also the bath robes were nice and soft...there was a mini bar and nibbles at a charge however there was sherry if we wished to partake ! Loved the soft lighting in the bathroom at night and the free standing bath was lovely as were the toiletries !
The food was amazing...very tasty and freshly cooked to order...breakfast was incredible ! Our window was directly opposite the kitchen so for privacy the blind needed to be closed...this could be rectified by some application of glass obscuring material.

The shower was amazing and we loved the little night light in the bathroom to save having to put the main one on . The breakfast was absolutely superb as was the service provided by the staff. A really lovely place to stay. The stairs were a bit steeper than I had anticipated, but to be fair it was clear when booking that there would be no lift. A banister would have been nice to hold on to.

- Paul (10/5): Ideally situated for visiting Tavistock town and the surrounding area. - Ideally situated just 5 minute walk to the town centre, and to the Tavistock wharf were we went for an evening of live music. The room was clean and breakfast was very nice and i would recommend staying if you wanted to tour the area.
Free parking was also a plus very hard to find anything that i didnt like about our stay, if anything having a room on the front, we did have some noise from people leaving local pubs
