• Andrew (9/5): Recommend B The Guest for it's boutique style, location in the centre of lovely Porto. - A unique place, lovely room with view across to the market. Perfect for people watching and location was great, with lots to do and see within a few paces. Bed very comfortable. Jules was very friendly & helpful, giving us an overview and map of what to see and do, over a glass of port and cake. Not much to be honest. Perhaps breakfast starting earlier would be useful, especially if you want to do a day trip which tend to meet quite early.

• Alex (8/5): Excellent service at an excellent price! - The staff was incredible. Julias rolled out the red carpet in this cute hotel. He walked our bags up the first flight of stairs to reception, gave us a glass of port with some house-made banana bread, sat down and filled out a map of things we could see and do in the short amount of time we had in Porto (18 hours!) and brought us up to our room on the 3rd floor. Our room had a great view of the street below to the market that runs 6 days a week. It was right in the hustle and bustle of Porto so we had excellent options for dining, shopping and site seeing. Our room was clean, air conditioner worked really well, was quiet and had everything we needed. Julius was even able to supply us with a charger converter. Breakfast was good and included in the price with a ton of variety, pastries, meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, juices and coffees. We were not left wanting. This was an excellent deal! Pictures attached are of their very cute bar/lounge and things we were able to see just a short walk from our hotel. My only issue was the bed itself. Slightly uncomfortable on my side but nothing terrible.
• Deborah (9/5): Perfect cosy hotel that is well situated and has charming personnel. - The whole feel of the place was great. The personnel were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was lovely and cosy and we had a great view of the indoor market (we were on the 2nd floor with 2 small balconies overlooking the market) . You need to close the inner shutters at night to reduce the sound of the road but this didn't bother us. The situation of the hotel is ideal. You can do everything on foot. No need for bikes to visit the town. If you want to go to the coast, the bus 500 is close by and takes you straight there. My husband and I would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends. It maybe a bit more expensive than other hotels we looked at but it was well worth it. Please note that it's a small hotel that has no lifts and has a lot of stairs. This wasn't an issue for us but it needs to be said. We don't have anything we didn't like.

Attention, des escaliers, sans ascenseur, mais le personnel aide pour les bagages.

Ik vond het een beetje de sfeer van een familiehotel hebben omdat iedereen die deel uitmaakt van dit hotel zo persoonlijk betrokken lijkt. In ieder geval hele vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Geen vraag is te veel. De kamer was mooi en super netjes. Er was ook een loggia bij de kamer die ik had. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt dat werd verzorgd door Suraya en Liliana. Ontbijten kan in een hele mooie ruimte. Op de dag van mijn vertrek kon ik eerder terecht voor ontbijt. Dat noem ik pas gastvrijheid! Niets.

Especial elogios ao Tiago, Soraia, Liliana, Cesar e José Pedro, todos foram muito atenciosos e atenderam nossas expectativas. Na chegada fomos muito bem recepcionados no saguão do Hotel com orientações sobre a cidade, acompanhado de um delicioso Vinho do Porto. Voltaremos a esse Hotel em nossa próxima visita a Porto !!

Room was spacious with area to relax. No elevator so be prepared to climb stairs. But that is part of the 'Porto' experience. Also there is a dumb waiter for your bags.

Starbucks is a one minute walk and a supermarket is next door. Lots of restaurants and shopping within moments of walking. Staff is exceptional and the facility is modern and clean. • Bernd (8/5): Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder , entweder mit einem kleineren Koffer oder wenn ein Aufzug eingebaut ist. 😉 - Sehr hübsches Hotel gegenüber der Markthalle. Tolle Lage, um in alle Richtungen die Stadt zu erkunden. Nahe der Metrostation gelegen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Am Abreisetag haben uns Soraha und Liliana die Koffer zur Abreise bereitgestellt und der Frühstücksservice war prima . Das Frühstücksbuffet war lecker und reichhaltig. Leider hatte das Hotel keinen Personen-Aufzug und wir hatten ein Zimmer unterm Dach. Bis dorthin waren ca. 80 !Stufen zu erklimmen. Das war schon beschwerlich mit den großen Koffern , die wir dabei hatten. Fürs Gepäck gab es nach den ersten 15 Stufen glücklicherweise einen Lastenaufzug.

The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Porto. We especially enjoyed the welcome glass of Porto on arrival and being shown places of interest on the map and also the fresh home made cake every morning at breakfast!

Habitación y baños amplios, al frente con ventilación y bien equipadas. La ubicación es muy buena Las escaleras, si bien tienen montacarga para maletas no vi que este bien identificado que sea por escalera. El extra costo del check in a partir de 22h te lo avisan luego de reservar y es de 20euros por persona. El desayuno es reducido y chico, colapsa, no vale la pena.

• Rob (5/5): Great location but seps not for everyone. - The location was fantastic. Room was clean and a generous size. Staff were attentive. Breakfast was good but didn’t open until 8.30 which we found a bit late. No table was available first morning. Internet was very poor. Although forewarned the steps were an issue. Unfortunately we were “upgraded” to a top floor room and this involved 97 steps.

Veldig hyggelig betjening som bød på portvin og informasjon om byen. Svært nyttig og interessant. Vi fikk hvert vårt nøkkelkort, men kun det ene av dem fungerte for utgangsdøra til gata. Det var visstnok policy, men er upraktisk når resepsjonen ikke er betjent og de to gjestene ikke kommer hjem samtidig. Rommelig dusjkabinett, men renholdet var ikke bra bak skyvedørene.

Fällt mir nichts ein.

• PATRICK (9/5): Le bon plan à Porto - Très bon accueil tant du monsieur à la réception (qui a pris le temps de nous expliquer ce qu'il y avait à voir à Porto) que de Soraia et Liliana lorsque qu'il n'est pas là. Petit déjeuner complet et si vous voulez des œufs, il n'y a qu'à demander. Isolation sonore côté rue (châssis) et le lit un peu trop dur à notre goût

• Tess (9/5): Me hospedaria de nuevo sin pensarlo ! - La ubicación es LA MEJOR !!! Espectacular, de verdad el lugar es chulisimo, las habitaciones grandes y comodas; el personal es atento y amable, Soraya es un amor, el desayuno es rico ! No hay ascensor en la entrada, hay como algunos 20 escalones, si hay uno para llevar el equipaje a las habitaciones

El hotel destacar la amabilidad y el buen hacer del personal . Nos hicieron el viaje aún más fácil y mejor . Sin duda para recomendar y repetir el hotel . Limpio, camas cómodas amabilidad, nos sorprendió que atendieran nuestra petición de tres camas en vez de la doble y la supletoria que había. Localización mejor imposible. Nos sentimos como en casa , mil gracias a Julio César por la acogida, a Pedro , a Soraia por su quiche ( que disfrutes en Benidorm)a Carla y Liliana. Magnífico Hotell

• Laurence (9/5): Découverte de Porto avec ma fille - L’emplacement est idéal, en face du marché en plein coeur du Porto historique. Tous les points d’intérêts principaux sont accessibles à pied. L’établissement et les chambres sont très propres et très calmes, ce qui est tres appréciable. Le personnel dans sa globalité est très gentil, toujours souriant et vraiment au service de ses clients. Certes, il n’y a pas d’ascenseur pour accéder aux chambres, mais ce n’est pas un problème. Nos bagages ont été montés dans nos chambres. Si je devais retourner à Porto, je logerai à nouveau B the Guest. Tout était vraiment parfait ! Merci à tous, nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Tout était très bien !

• erin (10/5): A classy slice of lowkey Porto chic, with excellent hosts. - Arrived late and was greeted by Cesar with a glass of port and a slice of cake. Setting is immaculate, located right opposite the Bolhao market, and right by the metro. Room was beatiful, spotless, with a balcony over looking the street. Breakfast was a buffet, with a great range of fresh bread and fruit, etc. The friendly serving staff came to my table and offered to make me eggs. Upon leaving, I left my AirPods charging in the room. A quick call and Cesar has arranged to have them delivered to me in England. Just excellent all round. WOuldn;t hesitate to recommend B the Guest. Coffee machine in the room would have been a nice luxury, but if you wake up real early you can go accross the road to the market for coffee. It's right on the doorstep.
• Veronique62 (9/5): Fantastisch! - De ontvangst door Anna-Luisa was gewoon fantastisch, in de salon met een porto en cake kregen we veel uitleg over de stad en de bezienswaardigheden. Cesar heeft ons veel plezier gedaan met goed restaurantadvies en elke morgen werden we verwend door Soraia met een lekker ontbijt. De locatie is uitstekend en de kamer heel groot. Je moet wel weten dat je een beetje stadsgeluiden hoort, maar dat hoort er gewoon bij in zo'n bruisende stad. Niets, echt niets....

• cindy (10/5): Would highly recommend this little hideaway place!! - It had a great location. Across from the market and easy to get around. More important the staff Cesar and Soraia were extremely helpful warm and kind. They make you feel welcome and calm. They only want to make your stay easy and pleasant. The place itself is really funky fun. Love the whole set up. Breakfast was great as well! It wasn’t a dislike just be aware that finding the door can be tricky. It’s between 2 store fronts. Across from the market.

• Ian (10/5): This will not be our last visit. - We had a wonderful stay at B the Guest. Soraia and Ana were amazing and couldn’t do enough. Lovely room and comfortable bed. Highly recommended. Nothing, a beautiful space in a beautiful city.
