Guest Reviews
- Sharon (5/5): - Room was small ! The lighting was bad & I didn't like the pull out desk ! There was no ice machines thst we found on our floor! My husband had to go to the first floor to get ice! Bed was not that comfortable! I don't like the more modern look! It's not practical
- Delia (1/5): -
- Maureen (10/5): Super relaxing and comfortable stay. - Really comfortable and clean. Wonderful staff. Bright and cheerful decor. Very relaxing stay. Nothing.
- Cathryn (2/5): - Nothing The walls and ceiling were paper thin. That made the room less than comfortable. No coffee maker in the room. Had to go to the lobby for coffee and hot water. The included breakfast was the bare minimum. All in all, it was well below what i would expect of Hilton. Won't be staying at a Tru again.
- Tymier (10/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): Overall a nice place. - Everything was very good. The people, the place, the breakfast and the amenities. Some things were showing wear and falling apart. The shower leaked on the floor a little.
- Shawn (6/5): - Location Not clean breakfast poor
- Brenda (9/5): -
- Debbie (7/5): It was ok - Clean rooms. Nice staff Breakfast was not actually what was shown on line. Disappointed. We had a flashing light in our room all night. Very hard to sleep. ...no coffee machine in room. Had to get dressed to go down stairs for coffee
No microwave.refrig did not keep things cold. For the price would not book again.
- Gurren (5/5): Not happy - Rooms weren’t fully cleaned. Upon getting into my room there were still things left in the mini fridge. We didn’t have shampoo, just 2 sets of conditioner. Deadbolt on the door didn’t work either. Midway through our day it started to smell like sewage. For the money I spent, for 2 nights in highly disappointed.
- Cook (10/5): Nice place to stay - An absolutely fantastic shower!!!! Room seemed small but was adequate.

- Terry (9/5): Staff members outstanding. Cleanliness great noise to much for a good night sleep - Very clean and easy access I want to get something straight the staff was very nice and willing at all times. The room was very clean. The noise from the room on the floor above us was so annoying you could hear every foot step They made and rolling the chair across the room. Sorry but I will pay more for a peaceful night of sleep.

- 133darrelld (10/5): Great stop-over! - As always, we stay here onour way to Florida evry year. Rob, the front desk clerk was helpful and friendly as healways is. He recommended a local spanish restaurant that was fabulous. Acoomodations were cleanand comfortable, as always!
- Wendy (9/5): Our stay was great as usual. - We love the friendliness of the workers and its location. N/A

- Sarah (2/5): It was terrible and we won’t be back! It was uncomfortable and rude. - Location The staff was very rude and made me and my kids feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. At breakfast the lady working kept hounding and making comments to my daughters that were not appropriate, as in scolding and getting onto them. I’m sorry but she is there to serve and work, not to tell my kids what to do. Same with the other staff. A older man with glasses, in the hallways approached my kids and called the cheer coach to address something with some girls. The girls were there with families, not a cheer coach. It was inappropriate and my girls felt uncomfortable saying the same worker kept watching the every move the entire stay. We have NEVER stayed anywhere before that the staff has SCOLDED myself or my family repeatedly. We paid to be there, so not approach me or my kids for any reason accept to help! The only employee that was helpful and didn’t make us feel uncomfortable was Jon at the front desk. So thanks for that!
- Thomas (9/5): - Robert who checked us in and Miss P who fed us were very nice and attentive Price
- Eric T (9/5): - Clean and friendly people. N/A

- Kenneth (7/5): The room was comfortable and clean breakfast not so much!!!! - I like Tru and this one because of it’s just the basics nothing special but very clean and simple. I try to stay in only hotels that don’t have carpets in the rooms. A hard floor is a lot cleaner, no surprises when walking on it, and can be sanitize. The breakfast. It’s to basic!!!! Not looking for a full breakfast but for the price I paid to stay it could be a little better. If you don’t improve your breakfast lower the cost by 20%.
- Brittany (10/5): Friendly staff and very clean rooms. The lobby was also really nice and welcoming . - Very clean and friendly Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Natalie (10/5): It was nice people were friendly. - It was pretty the room was clean. I have no complaints
- Daniele1226 (6/5): Uncomfortable bed and flat pillows - We stayed overnight and found this location to be noisy and fairly average for the price you pay.
We stayed on 3rd floor and had kids running in halls at 9 pm without any adults around. The walls are thin with both street noise and the loud volume of the TV from the room next door.
The beds are extremely uncomfortable without much support with flat pillows to match. We will not stay in this particular location again and most likely will not stay again at a Tru brand hotel of the Hilton chain. We have enjoyed the concept of the hotel previously but it’s more often than not we’ve had a terrible nights sleep so it’s just not worth the price of $165 a night.
The best part of the stay is the showers with convenient dispensers and the breakfast/coffee.
- Wendy (10/5): -
- Boos Jr (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable
- Tasha (10/5): - Breakfast was great, staff working breakfast were very friendly Nothing
- Ringo (10/5): Friendly, clean, great value, safe location - The staff was friendly and helpful. They even texted throughout our stay to see if we needed anything Rooms were clean and the hotel was located in a safe area near lots local attractions. Breakfast was hot, yummy and varied from day to day. Honestly one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Absolutely nothing
- frankgQ1462VM (6/5): A Bit Too Busy and Noisy - The property was a bit busy and noisy, but it was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was hip and location was close to food and highway.
- Deborah (8/5): Nice place to say in Bowling Green new and clean - Nice and new things were clean. Nice lobby to sit in and snacks available for purchase. The sheets were very worn. I noticed this when I got in bed. They were not crisp and my son had another room and he mentioned the same thing to me without prompt.
- Joshua (10/5): Rob did a very good job at the check in. The lady running the breakfast counter was on top of all aspects of her job. - Everyone was friendly and informed It was a mirror image of the one we stay at a lot, so lefts were rights😂 etc…
- Dianne (10/5): - Everything was just lovely! It was close to some great restaurants, and we had a great time!
- Kempe (8/5): - It was clean staff friendly we didn't have any co.plaints The place was fine for the Money
- Charlotte (10/5): Very clean rooms and wonderful staff - Everything Nothing
- Jamie (9/5): This is our 2nd stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. - The breakfast is adequate. We did enjoy the 24hour coffee bar. Varity in the breakfast bar could improve.
- Levi (10/5): - I had a pickup and trailer and they let me park in the under video surveillance to it doesn’t get messed with
- Valarie (8/5): Everything was good but the cleaning crew needs to pay more attention to the floors and shower - Was cleaner than the hotel we left from The floors and shower wasn’t cleaned
- Tommy (10/5): -
- Jon (6/5): - My opinion is the hotel is overpriced. The cost was $142 for a Monday night stay in a standard king bed room. This hotel is just not that nice. It’s more like an $80 dollar a night hotel. It could be a bit cleaner as well.
- Clay (6/5): Clean and friendly place, needs an upgrade in the beds - Staff was very friendly and everything was clean. Breakfast was a decent and the pool was nice. We had gotten a room with a king bed. The bed was awful, hard, and extremely loud I couldn’t lift a leg without a crack or a creak waking my wife up. Not a comfortable stay
- Joyce (10/5): excellent - breakfast great
- Kristin (8/5): - The staff were very kind, and the breakfast options were excellent. Our room offered plenty of amenities, which we appreciated. However, the cleanliness of the floor was concerning—it was visibly dirty, as shown by the residue on our feet and what we wiped up ourselves. We also found several blue, liquid-filled pills on the floor that had not been cleaned up. This could have posed a serious risk, especially if we had a pet or small child with us. Additionally, our room was located next to an exit door that slammed loudly throughout the night and early morning, making restful sleep difficult.
- Julia Ann (8/5): - Hilton rocks
- Isabelle (10/5): Great property! - Both front desk attendants that i encountered were amazing! Beautiful and safe properly too!! Would def stay there again.
- Pam (10/5): Great Hotel for tge price - First time we had stayed at a Tru Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. We come to Bowling Green every year. We usually stay at a very expensive hotel down the road but going forward we will stay here
- Betsy B (10/5): - comfortable
- Dawn (10/5): - Very quiet and clean hotel
- kara (10/5): very comfortable stay and super convenient location close to our daughter -
- Blair (10/5): def staying here again when i come through - I have been to many, many Hiltons but first time at TRU.
walking into the lobby is fun wide open foosball tables great lounge area and a game area
- P2480JIbethj (8/5): Clean basic stay - Decent stay. Basic hotel. Check-in and out was friendly and easy. Nice , Clean and quiet hotel. Would stay there again if in area
- Bobbie (8/5): Bare Bones but good for the price! - We were just looking for a one-night stay in Bowling Green and didn't want to spend a bunch of money. I'm familiar with Hilton so I chose Tru. The rooms are pretty bare bones with a rolling chair and rolling desk and a king size bed. But "tru"ly we weren't planning on spending much time in the room other than sleeping. The room was clean which is super important to me. The breakfast buffet was included and it was very good. The lady managing the breakfast could not have been nicer. They have a fun little fresh pancake machine that made very good little pancakes! The oatmeal was excellent and the coffee was nice and hot. The people working the front desk also could not have been nicer.
Would recommend for a quick no frills stay!
- Steven (10/5): It's what you'd expect. Pretty decent. - Overall pretty good! I personally need a fairly plush bed because my ribs are sensitive the bed could have been a little softer but for anyone else it's probably just fine for them. The breakfast could have been slightly better but then again, it's hotel breakfast so can't really complain lol. Solid chain hotel, they're all pretty similar. I did like that room didn't feel like it was from the 80's or 90's. Felt pretty modern and new!
- Steven (10/5): - Everything
- Tina (9/5): -
- Russell (10/5): Awesome stay! - Great stay,
Comfortable nights sleep. The staff was amazing and the member who checked us in was very nice and recommended a great restaurant for dinner in which we visited and enjoyed! 😁
- David (10/5): - It’s basically a place to sleep. As such it does a good job. Bed is comfortable, facility is clean, lobby is bright and inviting. People are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you are looking for a comfy place to sleep and be about your day.
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Ray (6/5): -
- Dennis (10/5): - Prefect experience !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Kevin (10/5): - Arrived early and was able to be accommodated with an early check in.
- Becky (6/5): - The lady that served food each morning was mostly nice but bossy and very loud. Also, there was hair on the counter by the food almost daily. I didn’t eat the last 3 days of my 10 day stay for this reason. My shower was very dirty when I arrived and didn’t get it cleaned until day 3. The front desk staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Although most don’t dress very professionally. The housekeepers helped in every way they could and were very nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great staff! Room was small but efficient. Needs some updates and better cleaning, but overall not a bad hotel.
- Wilbur (8/5): Very good - The accommodations were clean and the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not very good. Other than that I had a very enjoyable experience.
- John (10/5): - Loved it!
- David (10/5): - My wife overall loved the property. Gym. Breakfast. Coffee station although she would have beenndelighted if coffee was available in the room
- timothy (10/5): - Great place no complaints at all
- Brian (10/5): - Great
- Derrick (3/5): - I feel like I should be refunded The room smelled musty... the furniture to dirty to sit on...shortage of towels..the bed still has my back aching..What about the breakfast omg that is aweful...this facility doesn't deserve to have the Hilton name or Hilton is now only out for money... definitely not the standard and I feel robbed..
Had just returned from Europe and what a dissatisfied customer I am..
- David (8/5): - Ms. P was the best part of our stay! It’s always nice having a breakfast prepared by a loving soul that takes the time to say good morning and offer to help with breakfast…. I’ve stayed at a 100 hotels and have never had anyone offer to get something for me when the breakfast is self-serving. She is a sweetheart and an asset to the hotel!
- B1908JGchristineb (10/5): Top notch breakfast server - Special shout out to Patricia in the breakfast area. She is such a delightful server. Her personality with guest is amazing. Patricia even went above and beyond for my granddaughter’s birthday🥰 I’m sorry we weren’t able to say our goodbyes (it was her WELL DESERVED day off) we hope to see you again Patricia - keep up the great work😉
- Claire L (6/5): - Bed could have been better also sheets were very thin

- jackiesW4017PY (2/5): - My recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. My mom booked the room, and I strongly considered asking her to switch hotels once we saw the condition of our room — particularly the bathroom.
The bathroom was noticeably unclean. I had to wear my slides in the shower because the floor looked so dirty, and there was visible grime in all the corners — including around the mirror and along the countertop. Part of the bathroom wall even appeared to be missing. The condition of the light fixture was also concerning; it wasn’t just the bulb that was broken, but the entire plastic covering. The outlet near the bed was surrounded by dirt, and after noticing so many issues, I stopped looking for more.
There was also a persistent odor in the room, especially in the bathroom, that made our stay uncomfortable. A sticker on the mirror claimed rooms are cleaned every other day, but based on what we saw, I doubt that’s actually happening.
The rest of the hotel appeared somewhat better maintained, but the pool was closed for the entirety of our stay. We were offered the option to use the pool at the neighboring Fairfield Inn, but it was not much better — there were visible stains or debris at the bottom, and we ultimately decided not to swim at all.
To make matters worse, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and I barely slept during our visit.
My mom is a loyal Hilton guest, and my brother-in-law even works for Hilton, so we had high expectations. Sadly, this experience did not meet them in any way. I took pictures because the online images were so different from what we encountered. This location definitely does not reflect the standards we’ve come to expect from Hilton.
Update, Hilton manager called and said he was going to refund the expense of the pool we had to pay for because the pool was down. We have yet to receive that.
