La habitación la arreglaban por la tarde y si apetecía descansar un rato había que esperar que la hicieran.. El baño es bonito pero con tanto diseño no tienes espacio para poner nada.. La zona no es de lo mejor de Essauira aunque tampoco está muy lejos del centro.

De kamer is enorm ruim en mooi gedecoreerd. Leuk om een groot bad in de kamer te hebben. Amina geeft goede adviezen en kan erg lekker koken. Eén avond hebben we in het riad gegeten. • Gabriele (10/5): Bellissimo soggiorno a Essauira. - Mi è piaciuto molto lo stile del Dar e gli arredamenti. La prima camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato era grande, molto luminosa e silenziosa. Siccome ci siamo fermati una notte in più, siamo stati trasferiti in un’altra camera, comunque comoda, carina e silenziosa, anche se un po’ umida. Il bagno di quest’ultima era molto spazioso e funzionale. Colazione nella norma amorevolmente preparata dalla gentilissima Amina. La posizione della struttura è molto comoda per raggiungere sia il mare che la Medina. Per chi viaggia in auto ci sono dei parcheggi proprio fuori dalle mura a due tre minuti a piedi. Ringraziamo Amina per l’accoglienza, la gentilezza e la simpatia. Pur mantenendo un grande fascino, comincia a sentire i primi segni del tempo.

• Kevin (10/5): - Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable en famille dans cette magnifique demeure. L’emplacement est parfait car il se trouve en bordure de la médina. C’est très pratique quand on a une voiture comme nous, et d'être préservé du bruit et de l'agitation des ruelles plus touristiques. Une fois à l’intérieur, nous avons été séduits par la décoration pleine de charme et par le confort des chambres. Françoise, la propriétaire, nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de chaleur, même en étant à distance. Elle a eu une attention délicate en nous surclassant, ce qui nous a beaucoup touchés. Amina, qui s’occupe des lieux, est une personne rayonnante et une excellente cuisinière. Nous avons pris ici nos meilleurs petits-déjeuners et je recommande vivement de goûter à ses repas. C’est sans aucun doute notre coup de cœur du voyage!

Con la sua dolcezza, la sua disponibilità e la cura che mette in ogni piccolo dettaglio, riesce a trasformare un semplice soggiorno in un ricordo indimenticabile. Ogni giorno ci accoglieva con un sorriso sincero e una gentilezza rara, facendoci sentire come a casa, anzi meglio, senza parlare delle sue colazioni “SUPER BUONE”. Avremmo voluto trascorrere più giorni con lei, ma purtroppo il nostro soggiorno a Essaouira era breve: una persona come Mina ti fa desiderare di fermarti di più. Rientrare al Riad dopo aver esplorato la città significava ritrovare pace, calore e quella magia che solo lei sa creare. In seguito, abbiamo soggiornato in altri Riad durante la nostra vacanza, ma nessuno si avvicinava nemmeno lontanamente alla dedizione e all’attenzione che Mina mette ogni giorno. Era talmente brava e premurosa che abbiamo davvero pensato fosse lei la proprietaria della struttura! Exceptional cook, always available at any requests, if we needed anything. We loved her mint tea on the terrace. Best hospitality I've ever had in my life!

• Matt (9/5): Mix of traditional and modern just within the city walls - Pretty riad on the edge of the old town. It's a nice mix of traditional and modern. The bedroom was big - had both a bed and a couch. Excellent breakfast included. This riad is more like a residence than a hotel, and the staff are not always available. The room faced the street outside the old town, which is very noisy. The rooms don't have air conditioning, but they maintain a nice temperature in August with the windows open...but it's hard to sleep given the noise.

• Katerina (10/5): The best authentic experience in my life - I'm in love with this house! I've been to different riads in different cities, but this one is the best! Design: the house resembles a sea shell, the inside is decorated with local tadelakt. Every corner of the house is a Pinterest-ready photo. Facilities: there is always hot water, fresh towels and sheets, a bottle of water. Don’t worry that there is no air conditioning in the house, it is not needed here even in summer, fresh air from the ocean keeps you cool. + not noisy like in other riads, and the sounds of the street are not disturbing at all (you can only hear them when you open the window) Breakfast: The best omelette in the country and a combination of fresh fruit, bread and coffee will keep you hungry all day location: very convenient location on the side of the medina (for those just exploring Morocco, this is the old town), but effect that you are not in a tourist place, but in a real medieval city! the streets are quiet and safe, there is a bakery and lies nearby Staff: Amina - goddess, queen, my love! best breakfasts, always smiling, always helping to solve a problem (she even helped me find a doctor) I felt at home with her! she is the best woman in the world, I would like her to adopt me hahaha (just kidding) I want to thank everyone who helps make my vacation better! Françoise carefully sent information in advance with pictures and photos so that I wouldn’t get lost in the city and find the best food, views and bars! Always in touch and ready to help! The street is right at the edge of the medina, so there weren't a lot of vendors in your face. And there were weavers! The room was rather dark - would have liked higher wattage light bulbs.

The terrace is good, but again could do with an update a removing tired sunbeds. A mistake was very, very quickly corrected. Don’t hesitate to contact the owner, who is very responsive. The Riad is very somber with not so much light. There’s not much the owners could do to change that, but in a city full of light, it was a shame to be in a somber Riad.

But the real star here is Amina, who is just fabulous! would’ve been nice to have a larger mirror in the room - only one available was over the sink in the bathroom otherwise outside the room. but that’s just being picky.

She did everything and always with a smile. The proprietor was available over WhatsApp and was extremely helpful in making recommendations and bookings. Personally I found the bed a bit hard but this was common to all stays in Morocco.

• Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - A true gem in the middle of the medina. The riad dar les sirens deserves an impressive 5 stars with its beautiful decor and surprising quiet atmosphere. It is a women’s led riad and empowers the local girls to have a good job. For that matter I think it’s very safe for solo female traveler’s passing by Essaouira too. As for the quality of beds The mattresses have a topper, and are the most comfortable we have slept in on our Morocco road trip. My husband and I enjoyed the Breakfast every morning too, it was top! However, beyond anything else we must emphasise specifically the manager of this place, who provided us a very special hosting! Amila, who is sure to greet you with a great smile every morning, will fulfil every wish you have. Her and her kids made this riad feel like home. We loved it so much that upon our first night we cancelled a different riad we had booked after this one, in order to stay longer. Amilas cooking is also excellent, so be sure to ask her for cooking classes if you are interested and enjoy her food as she offers this too! When I told her that I loved a nice fire place she made sure to gift me every morning a breakfast by the fire. This alone was for me so special. Book this place with confidence, you will recharge in this quiet place in the middle of the medina.

• Mark (5/5): Passable - The description of the location is misleading. Due to the walled city, you can't get to the water without a long walk through the Medina. Unfortunately, the night we stayed, a nearby dog barked outside from midnight till 2am and no one intervened. It would have been nice if someone on staff spoke English to help with suggestions and directions. The rooftop terrace was nice, but was taken over by a cat with newly born kittens and did not like us around.

• Yuewen (10/5): Exceptional - A gem in Essaouira! We had a very warm welcome and Amina who was very caring and friendly made our stay even lovelier. When we were food poisoned from a restaurant she took good care of us. The interior of the room and the common spaces are both cozy and elegant and everything is super clean. We would definitely recommend Dar les Sirènes and would come back anytime :) Thank you!
• Andrea (9/5): Superb - location was great and staff was very friendly. they were flexible with checkout and leaving the room for us a little longer while we waited for the bus beddings not very clean, we found stains here and there
• Nicivdc (10/5): Wonderful stay! - We had a wonderful stay at Dar Les Sirenes. Amina is very very nice & puts immediately a smile on your face. She & her colleague put out a delicious breakfast every morning which for sure doesn't leave you hungry. Françoise was also very helpful in sending recommendations ahead & during our stay - communication is spot on! The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, stylish & the rooms are very nice with very comfy beds. Everything is also clean & the location is central inside the Medina. We were very happy to have booked with Dar Les Sirenes as we felt very welcomed - can only recommend it! nothing - everything was perfect!
