- Dasun (4/5): Disappointing stay - Very inaccurate description of the place. From the road leading to place being broken and small to the entire place being different from the photos on booking.com. The room was congested the door handle broke and came to my hand. We felt so unsafe that we left just after checking in. Please show accurate photos as to not mislead people who are coming in with high hopes.
- susie su (4/5): - 酒店位于山上，风景很好，这一点确实不错。 早餐很简单，味道还行。 酒店有的装饰还不错。 糟糕的是通往酒店的路太难走了，路窄的不得了，且路况非常差，我们的小车子行驶的不轻松。 再就是，门锁是坏的，门锁不了，这个是很大的安全隐患，我要是一个人的话转头走了。我们晚上睡觉内心也没有安全感。 再就是房间很潮湿的感觉，一股子潮湿的味道，床特别软，睡得腰痛。 给随同司机的房间特别差，司机一晚上没有睡着，人家第二天还要给开车，工作一天。 就这些综合体验，房间价格也不便宜。要问我推荐给朋友吗，我不太推荐，除非有更大的改进。

- Chanaka (8/5): Good deal for the money, but property has to reinnovate - I have booked the superior villa with Jaccuzi tub for a reasonable price, Jaccuzi tub worked properly with hot water facility. Also the lake view is there, garden also stunning. Common fireplace is very attractive. Bathroom floor not proper cleaned, also some of furniture broken slightly, room smell like it hasn’t been used recently, the door is not soundproof as windows.

A heater had been turned on for our arrival and it was a nice touch. Food was delicious. The room was in dire need of repair. Taps were loose, broken door handle, some damp/ mould issues. Broken tiles - just in need of general maintenance. Only had half a toilet roll with no replacement 🙃

The staff were friendly, professional, and neat, making our stay even more pleasant. Everything was perfect, except for the condition of some furniture in the room, which was slightly worn—but honestly, it’s a minor issue compared to the overall experience. Highly recommended! They have a wonderful fireplace and the entire place has a retro vibe to it! The rooms were good, nothing exceptional, but then we were given a room upgrade which was worth it! It came with a bathtub and we loved the detail. Sudharshan bro was a great host and helped us with everything! Great going. ❤️ The only downside we felt was the distance from the city centre, but doesn't affect much, cause the vibe is great!

- Pauline (1/5): Teleurstelling - Heel slecht bereikbaar met de taxi, wegen zijn slecht begaanbaar. Bij aankomst waren wij erg teleurgesteld, het eten was vies, duurde lang, slot van kamer was kapot dus de deur kon niet op slot. Verder moesten we bij aankomst de kosten direct cash voldoen, ze hadden geen wisselgeld dus dit zou de volgende ochtend wel komen. De volgende ochtend tijdens de uitcheck was er niemand meer te bekennen, wij moesten de trein halen dus op tijd weg en hebben hierdoor ons wisselgeld niet kunnen terug krijgen. Verder kwam er bruin water uit de kraan, kamers leken lang niet gebruikt te zijn en lake vieuw heb ik niet gezien! Alleen een raam met vocht erin en gordijnen met schimmel. Gelukkig verbleven we hier maar één nacht, we waren blij toen we weg konden.

- Lauren (7/5): Good nights stop at the top of the valley. - Very nice staff, willing to assist in every way they can. Large quadruple room with 2 king beds. High-standing four-poster beds make you feel like royalty. The bathroom needs attention and the water was only warm, not hot. TV is not working.
- Jules (4/5): Misleading, damp and dissapponting - The food offer, although blatantly over stated what they could offer. The Menu was far too ‘exotic’ to produce such an offer at the current facility. The food that was presented, after over an hour was very good. Breakfast was not the full English promised on literature, a sausage, omelette and chips ! The Sri Lankan breakfast was good, This is probably one of the worst nights in a hotel I’ve ever experienced. The literature presents a welcoming, warm, luxurious hotel with modern touches and a comprehensive F&B offer. In reality, a damp, unloved property. The staff, whilst trying their best weren’t equipped to deliver what the ‘brand’ promised. Noted, it was cold and wet outside, but they weren’t allowed to put on the roaring wood fire ! They themselves were in hats, gloves and scarfs inside the hotel, Our room was upgraded, but to a damp, mouldy room with tired and dirty furniture, musty bed linen and an inadequate heater. If we could’ve left we would have, but due to the weather we were stuck. There was even ivy growing from the garden through the dining area window, that had been cultivated and taped to the wall, creating an indoor outdoor garden feature and obviously a gap in the frame ! I don’t blame the colleagues working there, this is clearly a hotel that once had some charm but just now exists in faded glory.

However that's the end of the 'good things list'. - The wifi wasn't working. It's 2025! - The breakfast was below average. You'd expect at least a buffet at this price. - There's no room phone! For everything you have to literally go down to the reception. There's not a soul to be seen after 9:00 pm. What if there's an emergency. - This property needs to have a lower rating overall. So that guests check more before booking. Disappointing.

In the Bathroom - toilet seat broken, water pressure very low, for hot water you have to open the tap for 10 to 15 mints. No room cleaning service all 3 nights, no toiletries as per 4 star hotel only had two pieces of soap for all 3 days.

- Shreya (1/5): Pathetic - There were extremely few things to like but nevertheless, the food and the staff (even though it was understaffed) was good. Our group was vegetarian, and even though they had limited vegetarian options, they converted the menu for us. There are a lot of things to write on this and maybe I can write a research paper on it but would try to sum up in brief. 1. Location - Slightly away from the city of Nuwara Eliya which is not that bad. But the road to the hotel have no lights, extremely narrow and under construction, thereby making it too hard to reach, especially if reaching in the evening/night. 2. Food - Menu has very little vegetarian options. But the present staff converted our dinner and breakfast into vegetarian. However, due to limited options, we had to eat exactly same breakfasts on all 3 days of our stay. 3. Staff - Severely understaffed place. Three in total. Same staff was picking our bags, handing over keys, cooking our food, handling our complaints etc. The Head HR who manages the property was present virtually via call but was of no use. (There is a separate point on this HR person below). However the 3 staff members were very cooperative, even though they were working under the thumb of this HR person. 4. Facilities - Decent facilities but not at all a 4 star hotel as they advertise. Too expensive for the facilities we received. The bed was spongy (even though they changed our rooms after 1 day), no toiletries, plug points far away in the room, no internet connection in public areas like lounge, or garden, etc.etc. etc. 5. Head HR - To start with, this person was available on call. And within 1 minute of the conversation, when we stated all of the above, he said every Indian ask for discounts, can't do anything. Even if we ignore this racist point, he further stated, we provided everything we wanted, we can do whatever we can, but cannot provide any compensation. Our point was not about discount but about accepting that his property is not 4 star as advertised. Incorrect portrayal of property via booking.com or youtube videos is violative of laws and regulations, even in srilanka. Paying almost 800 USD for all of the above is no short of cheating, I guess. Beware!!!

- Ma (6/5): This isn't a 5* hotel but it is a nice property - Check in was quick, our room was on the ground floor by reception. The bed was comfortable enough. The vegetable curry they made for us was delicious. The staff that were on duty were really nice and helped where they can. This definitely isn’t a 5* hotel as advertised. It’s more like a 3 or 4* homestay/ bedsit at best but it’s not a hotel. Our view was some of the village/mountain but mainly a roof, it was howling outside. There was heating in the room but not in the dining or area where you can chill. Because it seemed we were their only guests, they didn’t have much on the menu but they did rustle up a good veggie curry and an egg sandwich the breakfast box. In terms of prices of food, it was all in dollars and I thought it was on the pricy side (example: Fries was $10). The floor was slippery as they said they had polished it. The Bathroom was clean enough, toilet was broken, no mirror (you can see where it was), there was dirt and mould in small areas and the hot water didn’t work. We didn’t take a shower and left early the next day as scheduled. There air was damp, bed frame was broken and rickety, for me it was soft and comfy once I settled but my friend wasn’t comfortable at all! You cannot get Wi-Fi in the lounge were the fire place was. It was also cold but because of the wind, they could switch on the fire. It’s in the middle of nowhere, so ensure you have a car.

Breakfast was very bland. Amenities like TV not working. Lack proper security since it was so secluded. Only plus point is the location high up on the mountain and the weather. Hotel should have more lights since it has dark decor. A fireplace in the lounge would have been nice. Improvement in the menu both dinner and breakfast. Room doors need to be changed to keyless. Had difficulty opening and closing. Curtains should close fully. Location of tea and coffee facility cannot be next to the bed . It's places there because there is no power point at the initial place on the desk. Bathroom floor very slippery. Wrong choice of tiles .

- Anil (9/5): Superb - Unique thing about the hotel is it's located in remote place which is the most coldest and unique spot of Nuwaraeliya, being in such a remote location they serve all delicious veg and non veg food, I liked there preparation of veg and non veg dishes which is quite unique compared to other places in Srilanka.
