The rooms are too small and cramped up,no place to keep luggage and open suitcases.Our AC was not working on the last day they asked us to change our room. Food provided was not at all up to the mark

Hotel staff extremely cooperative & with responsibility.We left at hotel one one mobile charger-- It was handed overto my friend at the lift gate at the of exit.Later on we were informed that we left one umbrella,the umbrella was kept at the Reception with proper tag .We collected the umbrella on way back to Ahmedabad Jn..
Siddharth (8/5): A short trip in Ahmedabad. - Affordable price, good location in proximity with a metro station. Staff is quite strict in its check-in and check-out time. I don't mean one should always ask for an extension of 30 mins or 1 hr, the thing is, it can certainly become a necessity to as for, depending on the situation. Secondly, if you've been to big hotels in India, the water bottle generally asked for in the room is free of charge. Here they charge for each water bottle.

Room was kept neat & clean, Breakfast was well stocked, Reception was extra helpful in assisting us throughout our stay & beyond.

For India standards the rooms are excellent and I would say there possibly 3.5- 4 star. We booked the deluxe room which was spacious with a very clean bathroom, with amenities provided. We requested a late check out which was granted with no fuss at all. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting ahmedabad. All main attractions are reachable via short taxi rides. A very big thankyou to all the staff at hotel alka inn. Nothing

Sharukh (7/5): Nice hotel. - staff is good and the room is generally clean except for the bedsheets which had some stains on them and the bedside drawer which was not cleaned The bedsheets were fresh but had some stains on them and the bedside drawer had not been cleaned.
Andremarques78 (9/5): hotel recommended despite the location - Hotel is very good, room and bed were good, AC working well on our room. Internet very very good. There is Kettle. Bathroom ok, good shower. Breakfast is good, they have free indian option and few other paid options, like omelette, cheese sandwich, etc Location despite of be 5 minutes walking to the nearest metro station, that is very good, the surrounding area smells very bad. Hot shower only in the morning and afternoon the water is heated by solar panels that is not really hot, but that was not a problem. Reception calls every morning between 8 and 9am to reminder of breakfast what in our opinion was not necessary as they had informed us the breakfast time upon check in, so if you want to sleep a bit more and skip the breakfast that is not possible, unless you communicate the reception asking not to call.
B (3/5): I paid above 28000 for 6 guests. It is worth of 14000 only. - Hardly anything special to like the property. No enough space to wait in reception. We were group of 6, allotted two superior rooms. The room has double cot single bed enough for two. For third guest of each room 3" bed is laid on the floor (no movable cot even) with a pillow and pullout. Not even a bed sheet to cover the bed. I didn't like the location in first place. Three drivers of Uber could not reach the location, though they were booked with the hotel address. I had to cancel all three Uber bookings. Secondly, the breakfast is worst quality. Each idli is cut into 8 pieces and few pieces are placed in try for 6 south indian guests. We stayed for 4 days; two days Vada and idli pieces were served and no south indian dish on third day.

Emelie (5/5): Passable - Clean The pricing and the process of payment were not clear at all and very misleading. I have used Booking.com plenty (genius 3) and never experienced such a payment process and that a payment was drawn from account before the stay without consent without being clearly listed. I thought sure fine that I have now paid for my entire stay, it somehow matched the amount listed on Booking. At check out they said that I had a remaining balance that had not been paid, 1/3 of what I already paid. The amount was neither tax or what, just a very random sum. At checkin nothing was mentioned and especially considering that all over the hotel they mention that the whole payment need to be paid up front. It was really annoying because it was my last day in India and I had already made my budget for the day to avoid the need to withdraw more cash. Til now I still don't know if the sum that i was forced to pay at check out made sense or not, but to avoid further arguments (already did for 15 min) and the risk of missing my flight, I paid.
