Guest Reviews
- Brian (7/5): Overpriced for a room above a pub, basic breakfast - The location Eyam is a lovely village Rooms are dated
- Deborah (9/5): Welcoming pub with comfortable rooms - Lovely pub with rooms above - right in the centre of the village Nothing
- Ean (9/5): - Location, ambiance, friendly staff.
- Pamela (8/5): Very enjoyable few days in a lovely village pub - Very welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast and good evening meals Curtains in bedroom needed some attention
- Neale (8/5): - Great staff and breakfast
- Conrad (9/5): -
- Helen (10/5): -
- Sharon (9/5): Excellent food, friendly staff. A good location for exploring the Peak District - Lovely old building, village location. Nothing
- David (10/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): Very good stay - Good room, lovely breakfast and dinner. Couldn't fault it! As a solo traveller, I paid more for the whole twin twin room than my friends sharing a room paid for their whole room???
- Scott (10/5): Great historic pub in a beautiful setting - The breakfast was excellent with good vegan/vegetarian options. I had black coffee, so not sure if they have plant milk. The room was warm and comfortable, the shower was nice and warm :) Ample parking. Lovely staff. Nothing. Everything was excellent!
- Kim (10/5): Loved the pub and the stay. The staff were very helpful. - Beautiful breakfast. The rooms were very hot, although fans are provided. I think it's just a consequence of the thick walls in an old building.
- Amanda (9/5): Lovely place to stay - The Miners arms are in an ideal spot to go walking straight from the door.
Staff all very friendly.
Food is very good and tasty and a lovely breakfast. Bed could do with a new mattress, I felt like you were rolling off.
Could do with better lighting in bathroom very slow to come on, just aswell we realised a light in the mirror.
- Stephanie (8/5): Lovely time in a beautiful historic village. - Breakfasts was really good. Service with a smile! The room was a little 'tired' decor-wise. But clean and cheery.
- Brian (10/5): - The location food and friendly staff The Bed was too small and the shower was poor but very clean room
- Allan (8/5): -
- Liz (8/5): Brilliant, relaxing, welcoming and friendly staff and locals. - Single room. I turned the radiator down, due to the fact I don’t like a hot bedroom. Breakfast was lovely especially the poached eggs, everything you need. Only ate dinner there once, it was really good, the menu was varied something for everyone. A great location, bus stop 2 minutes away. The staff were lovely, helpful and professional, good bar and restaurant, plenty of room inside and outside. Nothing really, a few areas that could be updated but a lovely, character building.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Very enjoyable and comfortable. - The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and very hot on delivery to the table.
- Gill (7/5): Beautiful location, pleasant hotel - The room was immaculate the location was superb. the radiator in the bedroom did not seem to work and the one the bathroom was a bit hit and miss. I could not get the shower to work at all.
- Fiona (10/5): Lovely location in Eyam, dog friendly, comfortable with good food and bar. - Great location, dog friendly, comfortable.
- Katy (7/5): A lovely friendly pub with great food and a delicious breakfast. - Lovely pub, good food . The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend. The central areas near the bedrooms could do with a tidy up.
- Karl (8/5): -
- Mudde (9/5): - Geweldige lokatie, mooie accomodatie Niets
- Silvia (8/5): -
- joy (9/5): Great stay , good location, very comfortable and fab food - Great location. Love old pub . Very comfortable and great food Nothing
- Emma8989 (10/5): Night away - The food. The staff. The location. Very beautiful views and lovely walks and just lovely village. Food superb. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely go back again for a return visit. Love the history to the pub. Nothing
- Emma (10/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): Really relaxed lovely night at the pub. - Historic lovely location
The staff were friendly and very accommodating. They understood I was a vegan and went the extra mile to make sure I had a great meal and breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere
Dog friendly. Nothing
- annette (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay in the village. Polite staff, helpful and cooked breakfast excellent. No fat/ grease on the plate.
Friend loved the way the mushrooms was cooked. Nothing
- Jacqueline (9/5): Would stay again - Excellent location, lovely staff, great parking, charming inn.
- Lauren (10/5): - I like the fantastic location. Food is lovely, especially the full English breakfast and staff are so friendly Rooms are a little tired, and the seating area in the bar could do with a good clean. If staying for one night, though, this may not bother you.
- eileen (8/5): - Staff , especially one young lady in particular, who checked us in and was there at breakfast Plumbing in ensuite, when toilet was flushed in.another room it gurguled up into our sink
- Robert (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Tim (9/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly and the food is great!
- Jonathan (9/5): - Excellent three course meal and beer as always.
- chris (9/5): Lovely accommodation in a historic village - Staff were very friendly from the initial check in to the bar and restaurant staff. The pub itself was old and had lots of interesting pictures about the history of the village. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The bed had springs that creaked when moving. The heating was constantly on which made the room very warm through the night.
- Rambling Ray (8/5): comfy cosy, and spookily special. - This was our second stay at the Miners Arms, it is an old pub with a very warm welcome and cosy accomodation. The pub is known as the most haunted building in Eyam, however I slept like the dead so nothing could have disturbed me. Breakfast is included, and is excellent and we were served by a very friendly young waitress. We also returned after our walk for an excellent Sunday dinner. We were very happy once again. a proper shower would have been good, but the bath tub was a nice size. No other issues.
- Loren (10/5): Lovely village pub - Great location and nice food Nothing
- Emma (9/5): -
- Radoslawa (8/5): - Eyam is a lovely village, full of history and with local shops and timely bus service.
Pub itself is very traditional and clean.
Very generous breakfast included, vegetarian option available.
Warm even in February with extra heaters available.Single ensuite room was of good size. Kettle available, tea and voffee replenished daily. As expected of a very old building it was rather accoustic with thin walls and the build-in shower water heaters bit noisy. My room faced carpark and occassionaly directly in reach of kitchen fumes.
- Ian (10/5): - Pretty much everything, my only gripe and it is a very minor one, is that the bathroom was a bit tight, however I am of larger than average size.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. Overall a very pleasant stay and great value for money.
- gary (8/5): Great base for hiking - Warm friendly staff
- Kim (7/5): Great location in historic pub in historic village Eyam - Excellent location in heart of historic Eyam village. Comfortable night's sleep. Good cooked breakfast. Strong hot shower. Basic toiletries provided which was nice. All together good value. Room immediately overlooked by car park and would benefit from a net or similar at the window for better privacy. Kettle wasn't working. I didn't raise it as I didn't know until the morning. No socket near the bed. Wall adjacent to bed needs a paint refresh. Bath towel and not sheet but no Biggie. Some music noise (from the pub below) but not too bad and not for long.
- heather (10/5): -
- Cheryl (9/5): Lovely place to stay. - Lovely, quiet location, great staff, tasty food, room cosy and warm. NA
- Cathy (10/5): A comfortable stay in beautiful historic location, good parking, lovely breakfast & welcoming staff, - The room was spotless, staff welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Also a lot of interesting history to learn about the property! It was all good
- Graeme (10/5): Welcoming lively pub, good location in the Peaks, good facilities and food! - Breakfast excellent, room nicely fitted out, helpful staff. Our room was over the bar so there was noise below us till 11 pm, then silence. Dinner good pub food and good value. The breakfast timing suited us but it’s pretty short (8.30-9.15). There could be a simple wine list to go with the dinner menu even though most diners got beers or other drinks from the bar.
- Steve (8/5): Very enjoyable would do it again. - Breakfast was great, and the room and pub was very cosy and warm so nice when you have just been on a nice cold winter walk.
- Katie (10/5): Lovely weekend break - Room was clean, bed comfortable slept like a baby, delicious breakfast Nothing !
- Lee (9/5): - Room was very clean and warm as the weather was really cold, very rustic charm and appearance, staff were very friendly and helpfu
Breakfast was amazing very tasty and quality ingredients and cooked perfect Food menu could have blhad a bit more variety however thats me being picky, I had the fish and chips so did my wife and it was delicious cooked perfectly

- Damian (10/5): Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one - Loved the history of the building and it was very clean and comfortable Nothing to dislike
- Sheri (9/5): - Evening meal was amazing and outstanding service, I was leaving too early for breakfast so they provided a cereal pot and bar much appreciated. my only comment would be my room would have benefitted from a little paint refresh to cover up previous damp and curtains need hooks to close. but miner things

- KLR ENGLANG (9/5): -
- Mathew Jung Kit (10/5): -
- Samuel (9/5): -
- Emily (10/5): - Excellent
- Paul Lewis (1/5): Could not get in the place so went home and lost our money! - Difficult to say. We could not get in so went back home! Arrived on aa Monday. Booking.com advised we should arrive after 2pm. When we arrived, no one there, no one answering a phone. We left and returned home. The owner later advised that they sent email put stating that on Monday it's a 5pm check in. Never saw their email. No sign on the door of the place advising this though. You would think a business like this would sort the check in time out with the booking agent!
- Tracy (9/5): very welcoming, Value for money and would return - the staff
the food
cosyness of the pub nuthing
- Martin (8/5): - Beds, ambience, staff, tea and coffee came with biscuits, breakfast, clean Bit of bad damp in corner of room by old chimney should really sort

- Nimmi (10/5): A friendly, warm pub with super-comfortable rooms - After a long walk in cold weather, it was wonderful to be greeted by friendly staff and a very cosy, warm room with plenty of hot water. The pub was lively and we had some excellent seasonal food. Highly recommended!
- Toby (9/5): Very clean and comfortable , great cooked breakfast a - Very clean and comfortable with heating and plentiful hot water. In a great location for walks from the pub to around Eyam. Pleasant and helpful staff too.
- Alyson (10/5): Great stay . - Central location. Good parking. Excellent staff friendly and welcoming. We ate there at night and the food was lovely. Good value for money. Bedrooms are a little tired.
- Samantha (7/5): Good value for money. - Good location. Excellent staff, servuce and food in restaurant. Rooms a bit tired but ok for a night and what we paid
- john (10/5): Friendly, comfortable & great food ! - Great location in heart of village, sunday lunch and breakfast excellent all great value for money. All staff really friendly & nice atmosphere in the bar on the evening. Room more than adequate for us & the dog Nothing

- Chris (8/5): Great staff - Staff, food, location Room had damp and wallpaper peeling off the wall
- Bruce (7/5): Simple decent place, excellent value - In centre of village, easy & plentiful parking. Simple room but including breakfast outstanding value for money Nothing
- Dawn (10/5): Nice stay but too short - The Inn was great. We had a wonderful meal there. The staff was really helpful as well. We wish we would have gotten there a bit earlier so to explore the village a bit. The room was a bit hot and the pipes in the bathroom would make sounds at all times. Otherwise it was good.
- KAY (8/5): Everything lovely - Everything was perfect hot quick
- Grace (9/5): Hidden Gem !!! - Loved the location very quiet and a traditional style pub, very christmassy . The food was amazing the staff were really nice couldn't fault it . Will definitely be back. Nothing as we're not moaners !!!!!
- Elaine (10/5): - Lovely old pub, very clean, staff very friendly, food excellent. Accomodation very welcoming and bed very comfortable. Nothing

- Alan (10/5): Perfect place for my one night stay, staff all very friendly and professional, food brilliant - Dinner and breakfasts were excellent, room was very good for the price, and very clean. Nothing, all very good
- JILL (8/5): - The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good (I didn't have the full one). The shower was hot and powerful. There was limited choice of TV channels. The wifi didn't work in my room. These are more observations than dislikes.
- Jacqueline (10/5): What a gem - The Miners Arms is a great little pub in such a lovely village. Our second visit to this lovely pub, great location, great beer and above all great staff.
