Guest Reviews
- Alessio (2/5): - Personale e servizi praticamente insesitenti.
Wirklich enttäuschender Check in Service.
- Anja (8/5): - Hotel in toller Lage.
- Imer (8/5): YMER; - ES WAR KURZE TRIPP FUER EINE NACHT ;UND ES WAR ALLES WIE BESCHRIEBEN;ALLES OK
ICH EMPFEHLE ES WEITTER.
- Jack1eH (10/5): Close to gondola and city center - Our overnight stay at Hotel Hohenaschau was easy, affordable and efficient. We hiked to the top of the Kampenwand in search of the gondola. Although we didn’t find the gondola due to icy conditions at the top, we found comfortable beds, a wonderful dinner nearby and friendly conversation at the bar. Our room (125) had a kitchenette which supported our snacks although one could cook there. There is a snack machine downstairs and I believe you can order a simple breakfast although they do not have a restaurant. We would definitely go back as the service was friendly and the room clean.
- Hannah (10/5): Lovely! Would stay again. - The hotel was so lovely! We are lucky to have found availability. It was a very comfortable room with extra amenities like a stovetop and a kettle. The closet and shower were recently renovated and were great additions. Excellent, walkable location. Perfect Winter Wonderland in Bavaria.
Ansonsten alles super!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Sehr sauber.
Frühstück, alles was man möchte für 9,90 €.

- Beat (8/5): Nice hotel in holiday village - Older style Hotel with nice rconfortable rooms in a village. Wellness aera is great
- AdmosfearMatt (8/5): Great Breakfast, nice local restaurants a quit stroll down the road - Friendly staff, very simple but excellent breakfast, big comfortable rooms, nicely priced. reception is closed down very early on, and the lift seems a tiny bit unreliable, (or they turn it off on sundays?) - the rooms with views of the mountain do have spectacular views, unfortunately we had to change to one of the back rooms because of quite a strong smell of something fishy. very pleased with the value for money proposition and will return
- Swiss_MnM (6/5): Simple- unreliable WIFI - good breakfast - This hotel is not staffed at night. The rooms are simple and the bathrooms smell of strong cleaning fluids. The breakfast is quite good and the garden is a nice place to eat it. WIFI is unreliable and offered only through a complicated sign up system. But in the lobby the WIFI, with a special code, is much better than in the rooms.
- MarlenSz (8/5): QUIET NICE PLACE - Nice hotel, very queit. Old style.only bad think is bad smell in corridors but not in rooms, old part of hotel very really nice :)
beautiful view from windows room and very big room :) Amazing people who love mountings. no reception after 23 and before 7
- Tincs (8/5): Decent hotel for price - Stayed here for 3 nights on business trip in early May and happy to be returning again in July as this place ticked all the boxes for a good 3* hotel. Clean, decent and free wi-fi, excellent location for Kampenwand and surrounding and above average food for the hotel class. Staff were pleasant too. Nice outdoor tables to enjoy the weather.
For reasons we couldn't establish, the bar didn't seem to be manned but I think you could still get a drink if you went to reception to ask for someone to help. No problem getting drinks while in the dining room though and we were happy to wander to nearby biergartens anyway.
Would definitely recommend for a decent 3*!
- Thomas_H_Svensson (6/5): Nice location, reasonable pricing - Burghotel in Aschau is a nice, typical Bavarian Hotel. Room-rates are acceptable, don't expect too much when it comes to room standard etcetera. You get what you pay for. However, the location is exceptional, quiet and close to Kampenwandbahn / other outdoor activities. Restaurant is expensive but good. No complaints regarding the breakfast buffet. Hotel staff is awesome, very kind and helpful, gotta love them! I have stayed here for more than 70 days during the past 3 years (business trip).
- Okietrader (6/5): No need to go there again - my company organized a training at the hotel for 3 days, so everybody had to stay there.
Staff was awesome, they went out of their way to make us happy.
Rooms are poor, old bathrooms and not well maintained.
Room itself is nothing special, clean but not high standard, kind of old.
Breakfast and food was very good.
I think they should start a modernizazion program for their roons, then it would be okay.
- bozzyboz (4/5): overpriced - Stayed here for two nights ,rooms are large, beds comfy but bathroom not very clean ,lots of short black hair found[ NOT OURS] realy badly over priced and double what it is worth. The two girls in reception were very polite and pleasant.breakfast was ok but very crowded on a wet day.
Its a long walk from the train station to the hotel on a hot day 30-40 min walk, the surrounding area is fabulous, fantastic natural swimming pool and bars to drink fine beer, the trip up the moutain on a gondolar was beautful and we stayed in the chalet at the top for one night great value and very friendly.
- Glenfinnan (8/5): Handy overnighrt stop? - We didn't have time to enjoy the hotel or surroundings because we were travelling onwards. You don't get many poor hotels in Germany and the Burghotel is of the standard you would expect. Everything is there, and everything works. The setting is nice and spacious rooms have balconies. We always question why Germany is, for us, somewhere to drive through rather than a destination. This hotel is typical of Germany and it demonstrates real quality and value.
