• Ellen (8/5): - De ervaring van het verblijven in een echt traditioneel Japans hotel De korte tijd om van het eten te genieten. Je had beperkte tijd en moest echt snel weg. Heel jammer het eten was heerlijk.
• Ivan (4/5): Une nuit à oublier à Gora - Peu de choses. Le bain public, assez grand mais banal. Personnel très peu poli. Accueil très froid. Chambre dépourvue de climatisation, de rideaux occultants aux fenêtres. Le client doit lui même installer son futon, ce qu'on ne voit jamais ailleurs. Futons de mauvaise qualité. Le diner est copieux mais n'est pas un vrai kaiseki. L'accueil propose une navette gratuite pour retourner à la gare après le check out mais la navette n'est jamais venue... Établissement à éviter.

• Duju (9/5): Recommandé pour les familles si vous prenez une grande chambre - Parfait pour une expérience de type ryokan (c'est plus un hotel qu'un Ryokan mais je ne suis pas spécialiste) avec des enfants. C'était parfait pour nous. Notre grande chambre était comme nous l'espérons avec une superbe vue. Certains commentaires sont critiqués sur l'accueil par tablette par exemple, mais le personnel ne parlant pas bien Anglais cela simplifie les choses et cela nous convient. Boissons offertes 24/24 à l'accueil, sièges massants gratuits,, onsen (pensez à réserver les onsens privés avant d'arriver) L'emplacement était très bien placé pour notre boucle sur Hakone. Pas assez de temps pour le repas et le petit déjeuner. Le serveur nous a demandé de partir au petit déjeuner alors que mon fils n'avait pas fini de manger. Mais c'est peut-être culturel et non lié à l'établissement spécifiquement. Il faudrait des plats enfants adaptés pour les européens, notamment le petit déjeuner. C'était bon mais pas adapté à tout le monde, et surtout il y avait cette pression du temps. Le prix était élevé, mais comme de nombreux hébergements à Hakone.

• Yukiko (3/5): 価格とは見合わなく、衛生環境が不安。 - ウェルカムドリンクは好きな時に取りに行けるので便利でした。働いている方は、ヘルプフルです。 部屋や大浴場の設備です。 部屋の臭いや壁紙の剥がれと汚れ、洗面所やお風呂の換気扇のカビなどが見えるので、ぞっとします。 大浴場は朝一だと誰もいないので、綺麗です。しかし、到着した日は、換気扇も回っていなかったので、湿気がすごかったです。浴場のドアが壊れているのと、湿気で床が濡れておりすべる。カビが気になりました。

• Annarita (4/5): Quite disappointing - Very few things: just the room. Very touristy ryokan compared to others experienced in the past. The ryokan was a multi-floor one, very similar to hotel facilities. Check-in was fully automated, minimising any contact with staff. Kaiseki dinner was also a bit disappointing: food was cold and we were rushed to have our dinner in 30 minutes.

• SG Auntie (9/5): A memorable stay in Hakone - It was a traditional Ryokan which was what we wanted, we saw reviews that it was dated and tired looking which wasn't our opinion at all. The meals were very good in terms of variety, quality and taste. The onsen both private and public are very well designed and enjoyable. It was so easy to see the rest of Hakone sights from the Ryokan. We are totally satisfied with our stay. As other reviewers have mentioned, it was a steep climb up after we alighted from the public bus to the base of the Ryokan. If only we knew to transfer to the Naka Gora furnicular from the Gora station.

• Matteo (8/5): Ottima struttura, ma con qualche accortezza in più magari.. - Stanza molte bella e super spaziosa, con una bella vista dal balcone con vasca esterna personale. Servizi dell'hotel ottimi e facilmente prenotabili dal loro sito. Struttura vicinissima alla fermata della cable car. Non ho provato l'onsen gratuita una di quelle (3) private ed era veramente carina e con una bella atmosfera. Cena di ottimo livello e buona ma.. ... purtroppo se si hanno delle allergie non è possibile fare alcuna modifica (a me è successo con il kiwi fortunatamente solo nel dolce, ma nel cena erano presenti anche arachidi e gamberi) e non viene comunicato prima il menù. Altro appunto è la vasca privata della stanza, che, dalle foto, sembrava più grande e difficilmente ci si può entrare in due. Per questo motivo abbiamo dovuto optare con la onsen privata e avere maggiore spazio. Ultima cosa, solitamente nelle stanze è sempre presente almeno una bottiglia d'acqua offerta che qui non abbiamo trovato

• Mark (9/5): A great ryokan experience - - great food - very friendly staff - nice traditional room - nothing, but be aware the hotel is towards the top of the hill so walking may not be the best idea. There is a nearby train station which avoid the need to go up the hill. :) The also have a shuttle bus.

• Michael (7/5): - Stayed one night in the King Room -with Open air bath. We chose this hotel to experience an onsen in a relaxing setting allowing us to split our Hakone loop trip over two days. The hotel itself is well located – right next to the Naka Gora cable-car stop. The staff were friendly and polite. The room/hotel itself is looking dated and a little tired, but was clean and was peaceful. The private open air bath included on our balcony was nice and relaxing, but there is only really room for one person in it. The private onsen (which I prebooked for a specific time before arriving) was fantastic, and was just what we needed after a full day on our feet. You can book your session using the QR code they give you on arrival. Dinner timings were again booked through the QR code but only had two timed sittings (however, I had pre-booked the time before I arrived). The drinks at dinner were also booked through the QR code which was simple enough. The set meal itself was lovely and varied. In the morning we also made use of the free private shuttle service (again bookable through the QR code) to take us down to Gora Train station to continue our adventures. We cannot comment on the public onsen or the breakfast as we did not use those facilities. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay with only a couple of minor issues. Things to note... - Best access location is Naka-Gora Cable car stop. - There are free hot/cold/alcohol drinks available in the reception area. However the free alcohol is only till 7pm, and we could only find free red/white wine or sake (the beer had price tags on it) - Book your dinner reservation as soon as you can if you want a specific time, and remember to write your name on the board once you arrive at the restaurant area. - Vegetarian meals need to be booked in advance (at least a couple of days). - Private onsen is chargeable depending on which room package you have. The mattress in our room felt like it needs replacing as you could feel some springs when moving...but it was fine for one night. We had not been told we had to write our room number on a board when waiting to be seated for our evening meal. We were under the impression that because we had booked a time, we would just arrive, give our room number and be taken in at that time, so we were left waiting a little while, but it was sorted and we were seated. We also did feel a little rushed to leave towards the end of the meal.

• SAI Wah (9/5): 費時的check-in 程序， 麻煩了住客，又48小時前有個pre-check-in，提供的link 又不到位，我用Booking.com 房，每次Booking.com 都把那位提供的links 了。所以做不到pre check-in. - 員工態度很好，有禮貌，有耐心教導住客用那個IT 系統 check-in 。 那套不甚友善的 check-in 系統。做完後又要工作人員用人手登入。晚餐和早餐還是用回匙牌的登記房號做識別。

• TOMOKO (5/5): 箱根ではかなりリーズナブル　雰囲気は素敵 - 急に強羅に行く用が出来て夕方ネットで予約 駅から近い、安く泊まりたい人にはおすすめ。 旅館の雰囲気は素敵でした。 和室の部屋の広さも２人には十分。 お部屋は値段に合っていると思う。 部屋は清潔でしたが 一つだけ気になったのは洗面の蛇口の所がとても汚かったお湯をかけたら少しだけ汚れが剥がれた。 敷き布団が薄くて寝心地はよくなかった。 第2駐車場までの登り坂道が50代運動不足には結構きつかった。

• Lewis (5/5): Overpriced, slightly disappointing stay - Private, public and private rent onsen baths were lovely. Digital check in system felt quite impersonal for quite an expensive hotel. Most staff were lovely but upon our check in, we weren't really welcomed as well as we had been at other, cheaper hotels we have stayed in previously in Japan. Food looked incredible but wasn't to our liking, there was no choice at all. Some amenities we had to go and search for ourselves when we would have expected them to be in the room. We expected a bit more for the price we paid. Room looked a little bit battered.

• Valerie (10/5): A real treat! - This place was a real treat! Spacious, comfortable and clean. The yukatas were really nice, and most guests wore them everywhere even to meals. Gorgeous outlook over the garden from the room and elsewhere in the building. Very quiet and relaxing. Dinners and breakfasts were absolutely amazing, along with excellent service. Free and unlimited coffee, tea and macha latte from the machine near the entry. Both the communal and private onsens were fantastic. So soothing after being out and about all day, and then you could follow up with one of the luxury massage chairs. The aircon worked really well and was quiet.  The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite not all having perfect english. A short walk from Naka Gora cable car station. Otherwise, a steep walk up the hill, which I did one night when I got in late after the cable car stopped working. No big deal if you're fairly mobile, but walking up would be too difficult for some people. I'd recommend not arriving late, and getting the Hakone Pass. I got a great discount by having Genius level 3 and booking well in advance (I think about 6-7 months). Nothing! I loved the whole experience! Okay, so the futons were very firm, but exactly how I expected them to be. Anyway, everywhere I stayed in Japan the beds were very firm.

• Haim (2/5): זה היה נורא - נוף מחוץ למלון העובדים בקבלה לא יודעים אנגלית , קשה מאד לתקשר, והיו תוקפנים. ביקשנו לבטל ארוחה אחרי לילה ראשון והם לא הסכימו. המלון היה מלוכלך, החדרים ישנים ובלויים. היה לנו ג׳וק ענק באמבטיה. האוכל היה מזעזע. לא מתאים לאורחים שאינם יפנים.

• Phoebe (7/5): The hotel was well located next to the cable car and the private onsen was lovely - very worth booking! Disappointed wit - I liked the private onsen experience and the dinner was delicious! It was clean but a little shabby for the price. The breakfast was very disappointing. We booked a vegetarian meal in advance and were sent the menu before confirming. The menu looked amazing and we especially went there for the traditional Japanese food. When we arrived at breakfast it was a cold omelet with ketchup and some generic American cereals. We paid a lot for the experience and were disappointed by this!
• Adam (9/5): Amazing Value - It was in a quiet location nearby the cable car station that allowed us to explore Hakone easily. The private wooden bath was an incredible amenity and the meals were an awesome experience with a large variety. It is a pretty steep slope to get up-to if you dont take the cable car or private shuttle.

• KIICHI (4/5): 再訪はないと思う。 - 部屋に露天風呂があり、部屋はひろく、古いが清潔にしてあって良かった。 応対してくださった外国の方と思われるスタッフさんや、食事の案内や配膳してくださるスタッフさんは親切で言葉遣いなども、丁寧で良かった。 廊下など、施設内がとにかく暗い。 食事処も閉塞感があり、暗い雰囲気。 施設の古さがあるのでしょうがないのかもしれないが、室内装飾の工夫をもう少ししていただけるといいかと思う。 チェックアウト時の受付の男性スタッフは全くホスピタリティが感じられず、ホテルマンとしては残念な人だった

• Ellen (10/5): - Favourite stay of our trip. We were well looked after. Food was wonderful, the room was peaceful and Onsen relaxing. Booking a private Onsen was easy to do for those that want to do this. We booked a room with a bath on the balcony which was also very pleasant.
