AC was good while it worked (until power cut). Great communication from the owner. Staff were kind and no issues at all from them. Unfortunately there was a power cut which was not the hotels fault. I felt it was more of a homestay than a hotel which is fine but the property was priced like a hotel. The water wasn't super strong pressure. Overall fine but a little overpriced given the options in the area.

Melanie (8/5): Great Location - value for money - The standout was definitely the comfort of the bed—super cosy and exactly what you want after a long day exploring Hanoi. The location is also excellent, making it easy to get around and see the main sights. The owner was friendly and genuinely helpful, which always makes a stay more enjoyable. A small but very appreciated detail: the shower has a proper screen, so the bathroom doesn’t end up flooded (if you know, you know). On the downside, there’s no lift, which could be a challenge if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns. Also, some rooms don’t have windows, so it’s worth making sure you book one that does if that matters to you. One thing that did leave a sour note was the check-in experience. We arrived early and were told our room was ready at noon, but we couldn’t check in until 2pm unless we paid an extra fee. Having worked in hotels for over 30 years, this was surprising and not something I’ve encountered before.

Die Zimmer waren sehr hellhörig, haben modrig gerochen und das Bettlaken war dreckig. Der Eingangsbereich des Hotels war mit Möbeln zugestellt, es war sehr chaotisch.

Would highly recommend and would happily return. Only negative aspect of this hotel is absence of lift. Had to walk the stairs till 4th floor everytime. THAIR (4/5): Not recommended at all . - The location good and close to everything and the staff are friendly The room was given to me in the 4th floor and the hotel doesn’t have elevator. You have to think 100 times before you go down because of the stairs. Also the location was very noisy until 3 am you can’t sleep because of the party’s in the near by shops. Very bad experience in this hotel and not recommended at all .

The hotel doesn't have a lift, but the staff were quick to help and kindly carried our bags up to the room. The beds were unbelievably comfortable—like sleeping on clouds—and the room itself was spacious, clean, and really good value for money. It was exactly what we were expecting. The location was excellent too. We were able to walk everywhere, which made exploring super easy. The hotel also helped organise our airport transfers, which was a huge help. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming—really lovely people. Would definitely recommend this place for a simple, comfy, and convenient stay! The wifi cut in and out, but we had our own data so that didn't affect us.

Dean (9/5): Great place in the old quarter. - We stayed at this family-run hotel for a total of eight nights across two separate visits and really enjoyed our time here. The location is excellent, and the staff, especially Ms. Hoa, were friendly and very accommodating, with Ms. Hoa speaking fluent English. The Wi-Fi service was reliable and the beds were comfortable. Do note, however, that access to the rooms involves climbing a narrow staircase—75 steps to the fourth floor and 92 steps to the fifth. Between the two rooms we stayed in, Room 401 is more spacious than Room 501. Both are nice though with large balconies and a decent view.

Thanh (8/5): - The location of this no frill hotel is ideal. As soon as you step out oft he hotel, there are food vendors and bars and coffee shops everywhere. I didn't read the details before I booked and didn't know the toilets were shared outide common area and no elevators. Good thing I only had my backpack and no other luggage. It was better than I expected since there were only two rooms per floor. I only used the bathroom for shower, etc twice per day. Most of the time you are out and about doing things around the city or excursions, therefore, it was not a big deal. The price was fabulous for 4 nights stay. The host was very nice and arranged for a hotel transfer to airpofor me on time. I had a great time in Hanoi and would choose this place again convenient location traveling solo or as a couple. I would choose a different place if you are traveling with family.

Hanna (8/5): Great location, great host, quiet from traffic noise so a peaceful sleep but still in the busy area :) - Right in the middle of the city so great location, the hotel is down a little side street so it's quiet from road traffic which is perfect! Host was perfect too!
Ted (6/5): - This place would be great if it was just me myself. I stayed with my wife 1 yr old and my mother in law. The room was in the middle of the busy part of the city walking distance to everything. The van was not able to drop me off in front of the hotel because it was a small alley street. So I had to drag bags about half a block to the hotel and there is no elevator. The price was amazing and I would recommend this place for smaller groups and couples with light luggage.

Marie-Josée (10/5): - L’hôtel est super bien situé, possibilité de tout faire à la marche. La propriétaire Hoa est vraiment dévouée, elle donne un service exceptionnel. Elle a pris beaucoup de son temps pour organiser nos sorties vers Sapa et la baie d’Halong. Ça vaut la peine de réserver avec elle d’abord car c’est moins dispendieux et en plus elle offre un service après vente. Elle nous laisse son cellulaire et on peut l’appeler en tout temps. Elle est vraiment de bon conseil…merci pour tout Hoa!

William (10/5): - I told the hotel manager in passing it was my wifes birthday. When we came back to our room in the evening thete was a beautful birthday cake in our room. Wow!! Very nice comfortable rooms. Excellent place.

giomuathudiqua5 (2/5): Terrible hotel in old quarters - I booked room with hotel , after fews min I canceled and then they tried to charge my card . That is not fair, I am very disappointed with hotel and never back. Not recommend this hotel . it's a scam I feel like my money was stolen. Terrible experience
Mitch_s (10/5): Beautiful oasis in a buzzing, lively area - What we liked the most: - great price quality ratio - the location: right in the Center of old town with good restaurants and bars just 1 Min. to walk - nice balcony with cityview from the 5th floor - quietness of the room - early checkin My girlfriend and me stayed in Hanoi Elpis Hotel in the junior suite for two nights. The only cons: - the hotel has no elevator, which was not a problem at all since the staff brought all our luggage up to the suite.
