• April (8/5): Perfect location close to airport with a lovely friendly hostess - Great location- close to airport and a little restaurant on the corner AC would have been a great addition but there was a ceiling fan and we kept the windows open.

• Emma (5/5): Grundsätzlich ist die Unterkunft für eine Nacht zu diesem Preis in Ordnung, allerdings wären wir dort nicht länger gebli - Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hat uns Frühstück gemacht und nach uns gesehen. Die Unterkunft war sehr unsauber und wir hatten das Gefühl dass der Bettbezug und die Handtücher nicht frisch gewaschen waren. Zudem gab es wenig Ausstattung, z.B. hatten wir keine Seife und kaum Toilettenpapier.

There is a lot of dust and spiderwebs in the corners of the walls. The mosquito nets are too small for the beds and have wholes in them. One of the 2 beds in the room has 2 mattresses which made it a bit uncomfortable.

• Sumithran (10/5): Value for money - very good place to stay—great value for money. It’s a quiet and natural environment, perfect for relaxing. I stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The room was comfortable and had all the necessary facilities for the price. The owner is very kind and communicates well. There was some singing from the neighboring room, but it wasn’t too disturbing. The owner even checked with me, showing he really cares—such a good-hearted person. Everything was good overall. Just a little more cleaning around the outside and small improvements could make the garden even nicer in the future. Still, I had a very good experience and would definitely recommend it. Nothing. All good 🤩

Perfect stay for backpacking, enough space, room with or without a/c available and the hosts are very open and friendly, restaurants not too far away and brakfast was very delicious. Would really recommend this for the first night after a long flight😊

I arrived a day earlier than booked through my own miscalculation at 4am and everything was made as smooth as smooth can be by Stephanie. She also made me two excellent meals and was super helpful about anything I asked about or needed as was her husband. The room was on the ground floor and had the benefit of a nice patio garden. I'm mold sensitive and think this was some issue in my room with this. It was very clean but the smell is distinctive and I found sleeping difficult as my sinus got so blocked. But for the price it was acceptable.

My flight arrived late at night, so I was looking for a place to stay for a day to rest. The family is lovely people. I felt very welcomed. I asked if I could get a room that has space for a yoga mat as I practice yoga every morning and they kindly offered me such room.

Stephanie our hostess warmly welcomed us at 3.30 am. She guided us on how to continue with our onward journey, giving us details of taxi and buses.

• Michael (8/5): Life saver of a last minute stay near the airport - The woman running the place was fantastic! We had an issue when we arrived at 10pm to our original booking and found it had only one bed so we were stuck looking last minute for someplace nearby as we had an early flight the next day. We were able to book here and even though she had no time to prepare, we were welcomed in. The next morning she got up with us at 6am and got us a tuk tuk to the airport since the Uber rides we booked kept canceling. If not for her getting up so early with us we would likely have missed our flight. Any negatives were overridden by the above and beyond service for the very kind owner. Just pay attention to the accurate listing and know that there is no A/C.

The beds had mosquito nets tho.

Close to the airport which was my main goal. Poor ventilation in the room, but the host gave me an outside drying rack for the towel.

She also organised transportation for us and gave us valuable tips for our upcoming trip. Our room was basic, the cleanliness was ok but you've got everything you need. If you're not too picky, you're getting a good stay for very few money. the mosquitonet had big holes in it, so it doesn't give you enough protection while the room is very hot bc of a missing AC - new mosquitonets should be arranged.

The location is very convenient for those who need to stay close to the airport - transfer to the aiport takes ca. 10 min and costs 2-3 USD. Rooms are basic, but offer all you may need for one night stay. The owner may prepare breakfast upon request for about 2 USD; WiFi works OK. Fridge available for the guests.

• Tim (9/5): Superb - This was an ideal accommodation for our last night in Sri Lanka. Close to Negombo airport, simple but comfortable and with lovely hosts. My partner had a bout of food poisoning the night before we were due to fly out and Stephanie the host very kindly let us stay past the check out time so she could rest and recover before the long trip home. She also provided abundant ginger tea and called us a taxi to the airport - ensuring we got a good fair price. Thanks very much for everything.
