• Angus (9/5): Wow garden and generously sized room - Cute villa showing its age, while its garden is well-kept and timeless in a walkable, upscale neighborhood. Breakfast was particularly well set-up for meeting and talking with new people. There is some deferred maintenance, but nothing I couldn't overlook

• Kristina (10/5): Perfection, joy, nature - There is no other place like Fleetwood 12 in Harare. The property is a paradise for vintage lovers, the library has a century old books and the garden is divinely lush, but immaculately maintained. A little stream with goldfish, frogs and many different species of dragonfly leads to a tunnel of flowers and a little bridge. Waking up to the sounds of the birds and having breakfast at the pool, exploring the neighbourhood with the vibrant Maasdoorp Market and just relaxing on the old benches in the garden: This place will give you everything. And if that would not be enough, you will be greeted and treated wonderfully by Joyline, Farai and the whole team. My personal highlight after coming back over and over again must be the singing of the staff :) There is absolutely nothing not to like about Fleetwood 12, except when you have to leave it :))

• Sabine (8/5): - It is a very beautiful old villa, unfortunately quite outdated, it could do with some renovation. The location was perfect for me, in a quiet, safe area not too far from town. The staff was helpful and friendly Some renovation would do the place justice. My room faced the carport, which was not the best view you can get as there are also rooms facing the beautiful garden. The mattress could be renewed, too.

Presentation on the table: plastic bottles unacceptable; very cheap cutlery; patio needs cleaning; no facilities available in the evenings including no tv BUT there was no electricity for the whole week due to a Zesa fault, not the fault of the establishment but could have done better in covering for it. Beds: mattrasses poor quality foam and two single foam on a double, not good. TV: no dstv, no tv most nights even at times with generator

The rooms were clean and we met the owner Mbuya Maruwa who was such a sweetheart. I would absolutely go back. Mbuya said to drop by anytime for a cup of tea! Parking

Beautiful vintage decor inside the lodge and helpful staff. The breakfast was disappointing and needs improvement. The place could use some updating, some things have fallen into disrepair. No wine glasses were available so we had to use water glasses for our Prosecco.

The lodge arranged my airport pick up which was very smooth and organised. I didnt like the fact that ibooking.com didnt charge my card directly. I was charged an additional $40 for using my card.

I had booked a studio double room and was told on arrival that the studio had plumbing problems and so only a double room was given. The shower had a problem as the water was not mixing properly. The breakfast needs to be better.

Beautiful garden and pool. Staff friendly if not super efficient. Wifi did not work. Shower drain blocked. Not towel rails or place to hand towels to dry. Paint coming off in shower. Taps loose in bathroom basin. Bunch of loose cables where TV once was.
