The staff was amazing as was the owner Lynn - they were all on top of their game and very accommodating at all times! There were 13 of us traveling together from the US with others coming from England and Spain joining us and it was an amazing trip. Lynn provided us guides (Nick and Sarah) to show us around Portugal and Nick and Sarah were great and even had their son join us to help us navigate the language when ordering food at the "fesha" (sp). The resort was clean, the food was great, the rooms were super cute and you could walk to the beach and little shops and amazing restaurants on the beach!! Highly recommend!!! (Sorry I don't take much pictures when out, having too much fun).
- Trail16796150994 (10/5): Fabulous hotel - The perfect place for our family holiday , 22 of us made to feel so welcome into this beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean, beautiful rooms all with ensuite, the food was incredible and the staff looked after us with just the right amount of friendliness and professionalism, their attention to detail was second to none and we felt they really did want us to have a great holiday. The poolside bar was open everyday from 12pm to midnight serving drinks and bar snacks.The large gardens and pool area were well kept and any transport we needed was organised for us efficiently and quickly. We were sad to leave this wonderful hotel (which we had exclusively for us) and all the lovely staff who made it so special. We can highly recommend The silver seahorse and we will definitely be returning.
- vanessacelestin (10/5): Amazing find of a hotel. - I don’t often write reviews but in this case I just had to make an exception. This hotel is fantastic. Immaculately spotless. It is just so relaxing . The staff also go above and beyond to accommodate your every need. Talk about going the extra mile . That’s the staff here. Food was amazing . Only 10 minutes max walk to beautiful sandy beach and great restaurants and bars. If you’re looking for a great relaxing homely place then do not hesitate to book. Silver Seahorse is a gem of a find.

Hotel is spotless with crisp white sheets and the choice of four different types of pillows . Then lots of activities nearby what’s not to like . I look forward to my next visit !

It has delicious varied food non stop tasty cocktails and relaxed atmosphere - everyone is very welcoming and accommodating. It's the perfect size to be chilled out and known as an individual and its location is 5 minute walk to the beach.
- Flocklessbutfree (10/5): Simply Wonderful! - This is a truly delightful hotel. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The owners Lynn and Grace are the epitome of first class service, nothing is too much trouble. The food prepared by chef Christina is superb too and especially the king prawns in garlic! Would 100% recommend as it is just round the corner from the beach and there are plenty of sports and sight seeing trips within easy drive.
- B747happy (10/5): A very friendly gem of a hotel, perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful peninsula of Peniche. - It was hard to leave this beautiful, immaculate hotel due to the wonderful staff, they really went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. We were a group of mostly travel industry friends on a yoga and exploration week. Christina was the best cook, her delicious food was the best we have experienced in Portugal plus there are lovely restaurants on the beach too. The beaches and medieval towns were stunning, miles of golden sand, castles and boat trips to some amazing places. We shall definitely return as the hotel owners and their staff are now good friends and we still have plenty more to explore. Thank you all at Silver Seahorses, see you again soon. - 687josien (10/5): Best boutique hotel for a holiday that feels like home. - Just spent a beautiful week in this unique and special little hotel, it felt like home away from home where everyone is so friendly and they will do their best to accommodate any kind of request. Lynn and Grace work very hard to make everyone feel comfortable and happy, nothing is too much of a trouble, the food and drinks are outstanding and the rooms are very clean and super comfortable. The location is perfect, 5 mins away from a very beautiful beach and lots of beautiful places to visit, the sunset are very impressive. I absolutely recommend this hotel and will look forward to return again very soon. Thanks you for a great holiday 😍

Great things to do within 30 mins by car, excellent breakfasts, a superb location with an extremely high quality room. I really couldn’t have asked for more!

Stayed there for a retreat, they made it feel special, really accommodating of different dietary needs. Looked after us really well, nothing too much trouble for them.

Both Owners Lyn & Grace were amazing; from check in to check out! Helpful, professional, friendly and efficient, they went the extra mile for each and every one of us. The hotel is spotlessly clean (& I am extremely fussy!), it is comfortable, in the perfect location (5 minute walk to beach & even less to shops & restaurants), and a joy to stay at. 50 mins transfer from Lisbon airport, and a short drive to various other hot spots. I can’t recommend it enough as a lovely holiday get away.

They will do their utmost to make your stay the most pleasant and memorable. Their hotel is conveniently located 5mn walk from the most stunning beach as well as being ideal for excursions into Obidos, Caldas, the Berlengas island etc… Thank you to both of them and their wonderful staff for such a warm and friendly welcome, delicious food, a ton of giggles and making us feel at home away from home. I could not recommend more and I cannot wait to come back again with my family!

It feels very homely and like visiting your family. Lovely swimming pool, gated main door, cosy bedroom and very clean - perfect for family holiday or weekend vacation with friends. Good-sized garden with nice pool, pool bar and shady sitting areas. Quiet and relaxing. Excellent breakfast and also good simple foods at the pool bar. Very friendly and attentive staff and owners. 7 mins walk to Praia da Consolação, which is a nice, sandy, large beach good.

- 43KH (10/5): This is an absolute gem. - I booked a self contained apartment in Silver Seahorse for my daughter’s family. The booking process was easy and I found the manager to be extremely helpful. My daughter was travelling with her partner and 8 month old baby. The apartment was perfect for them. It was modern and fully equipped for their needs. The pool and jacuzzi were big hits! The staff were available and informative without being intrusive. The location is perfect, near all amenities and yet had the exclusive feeling of being removed from the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend the Silver Seahorse, it is exactly as described; a garden retreat.

- Rodrigo (8/5): Good hotel, but NO AIR CONDITIONER in the room. - The staff was pretty good, hotel its nice and comfortable but my big complaint is that they said that they have AC in their rooms and is not true. They have a box that simulate an AC thermostat but is just fake, there is nothing other than a portable fan, so we had a hot night.

- CTillson (10/5): A lovely hotel. - The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area. On entering the hotel then is a lovely feeling of peacefulness and calmness. It is modern and well decorated throughout. The bedrooms are large enough and tastefully decorated, some having balconies. The beds are very comfortable and have kettles with complimentary tea bags and coffee sachets. The bathrooms are large enough with powerful showers and plenty of hot water. The breakfast/dining room is large enough without being too large, it is light and airy and looks out to the garden. The buffet breakfast is superb with a variety of choices which the wonderful staff replenish frequently. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. There is a large well decorated room that has a selection of books for the guests to borrow, this room has armchairs and sofas and is lovely just to sit in and relax whilst looking out at the garden. The bar is well stocked and is very reasonably priced, you can also order a good selection of food from the snack menu at the bar. The very large garden is well maintained with comfortable sun beds around the pool, the pool is kept lovely and clean and is very appreciated when the weather is hot. There is also a hot tub which is nice for anyone who hasn’t used one before, we sat in it in the evening with a couple of friends. The lovely owners Grace and Lynne really do try to make your stay as lovely as possible. They go above and beyond. They are friendly and always around if you need anything. The hotel does have its own mini bus and if Lynne and Grace are free they are happy to take you out in it for a very reasonable fee. The surrounding area to the hotel has very few shops or restaurants at the moment, but if your looking for a quiet relaxing hotel, then the silver sea horse could be just right for you. This hotel is great for everyone, but for a large group of friends you feel like you have your own villa. Thank you Lynne and Grace. The hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the sea and it has a lovely sandy beach.
- NANCY (10/5): Oasis - This location was above and beyond what I thought would be when I made the reservation. It was super clean and the breakfast was the best I have had in Portugal at any hotel. While the surrounding area is very beachy, not many trees, this location was like an oasis. I would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area. The room was not large but large enough and had all the basic things I needed for one night.

- saramG9897TY (10/5): Fabulous friendly hotel - Stayed here for a few nights back in October 2021 and it was just wonderful. Modern, clean and quiet. Our room was so peaceful, the bed amazingly comfy and the shower powerful. The breakfast was yummy too especially the custard tarts (as good as those in Lisbon). There was a great restaurant down at the sea front where I had amazing local red wine and fish. We will be back again in May / June 2022 that's for sure

- Dirk (8/5): Modern und strandnah - Super Lage: Man ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten am schönen Strand. Es macht nichts aus, dass die Unterkunft nicht in Peniche liegt, da die Stadt keinen besonderen Mehrwert bietet und man sich am Abend einfach mit dem Taxi zum Restaurant fahren lassen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und das Bett äußerst bequem. Schöner großen Garten! Der Frühstücksraum hat nicht so viel Charme. Auch aus der Pool-Ecke hätte man etwas mehr machen bzw. diese gemütlicher gestalten können. Der einzige wirkliche Kritikpunkt ist der schreckliche Kaffee. Diese Maschine gehört ausgetauscht! Wurden hier zum Teetrinker ;) Trotzdem: Wenn Peniche, dann jederzeit wieder das Silver Seahorse!

- veronicaczech (10/5): Beautiful gem - I have stayed for 3 night with friends and I absolutely love this place! Grace is the most wonderful , kind and generous host when nothing is a problem. She came to pick us up from the airport and brought us to her beautiful, peaceful and so quiet hotel. Breakfast was delicious, bedrooms just so quiet that I slept the best of any hotels I have ever stayed! You can just chill by the pool ( yes we had 21 degrees ) and or sip local wine in the cosy living room. I would highly recommend this stunningly amazing gem of a hotel to anyone and I can’t wait to be back very soon!!!! May be next week? Thank you Grace and everyone in the hotel for making our stay so special xx

- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved this place. Seemed brand new and was perfectly decorated in a fresh Nordic style. They upgraded our room unprompted as they weren’t full. Breakfast was delicious. Service was impeccable. The beach community where this place is very seasonal and we were just ahead of the season. So the town was basically a ghost town and we went into Peniche for dinner rather than stay in the beach area.
