• Peter (5/5): Leider sehr unerfreulich. - Das Hotel war in der Nebensaison nicht sehr stark frequentiert. Offensichtlich wurde die ruhig Zeit für Renovierungsarbeiten genutzt. Unser Zimmer roch sehr stark nach frisch aufgetragener Farbe. Mussten trotz der Kälte außen die Balkontüre öffnen. Trotzdem führte der „Duft“ Inder Luft zu Kopfschmerzen und Hustenreiz. Ließen die Balkontüre die ganze Zeit über auf, um etwas frische Luft zu bekommen. Waren daher nicht so richtig begeistert. Die Zimmer dürften mittlerweile aber wieder in Ordnung sein. Wenn nicht, dann sofort nach Bezug auf einen Zimmertausch bestehen. Die Unterbringung in einem frisch gestrichenen aber nicht ausreichend gelüftetem Zimmer mit entsprechend unangenehmen „Duft“ in der Luft.

• Deanne (10/5): Great value with brilliant staff - Great hotel right near the lake. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Breakfast was very nice with freshly cooked egg choices. The views are beautiful.

Επισης ηταν προφανες οτι οι εγκαταστασεις ανακαινιστηκαν αλλα το δωματιο μυριζε εντονα μπογια. Θα μπορουσαν να το ειχαν αερισει καποιες μερες πριν να το εχουν διαθεσιμο στο κοινο.

El baño es amplio. La ubicación no puede ser mejor, a 3 minutos caminando del embarcadero desde donde salen los barcos hacia la Isla del sol y a 5 min de la calle principal. Se encuentra al inicio del sendero que lleva al calvario En líneas generales el hotel está muy bien. Mala regulación del agua en la ducha (caliente/frio). El Desayuno podría mejorar.

• Kevin (8/5): Very good - Great value for money in this location - the hotel is very well located near the lake and main street of the city. The view from the room is fantastic, overlooking the lake. The bathroom is spacious and well equipped. The staff was nice, accommodating and attentive. Expected the location to be closer to the bus drop off point, but had to walk about 12 minutes from there (took a bus from La Paz). Although the property lists a 24-hour front desk, they serve check in from 13.30-17 - after an exchange they promised they would be there for a later check in time, however, during first messages they flat out said they would have to "cancel our reservation if we expect to arrive after 17.00", which caused us unnecessary stress. We needed to call 4 times to confirm. When I asked for more eggs during breakfast, they tried to charge us extra money - it is an all-you-can-eat buffet as all breakfasts in hotels are, so don't fall for it and decline. Heater turns off during the day. Construction during the day is also extremely loud and constant.

• Pei (8/5): Very good - Our room was facing the lake and it had a beautiful view. The room was spacious and bright. The common area and breakfast area were beautiful with a lake view. They have laundry service at a reasonable charge. Basic breakfast. The main road to the hotel had not tarred, quite difficult to walk with a suitcase and quite dusty. During the daytime they had construction going on and the noise started before 10 AM. They only turn on the heater after 6pm

Got me to cancel my booking so I could get a cheaper cash rate. Nearly cut the bill in half. Great gal. Many thanks. No hot breakfast except scrambled eggs. And they only allow 2 eggs per person but they allowed me 4 after some convincing. If you like a cold carbohydrate breakfast then you'll be fine.

Breakfast was stale bread and literally the scrambled eggs was barely enough for one piece of toast. The reception also tried to charge me way too much in the conversion rate like almost 50% too much. This just left me with that feeling of everything by being attempted to cut costs and make money at the expense of any kind of customer service and experience

The location is superb. Plentiful hot water in the shower. We appreciated the in hotel laundry service. We will always be glad we chose Hotel Lago Azul.

The room was very clean, bed really comfortable and the bathroom is the real bonus with a huge shower! Breakfast was good, with several options and scrambled egg cooked to order.

• Maria (3/5): Would not necessarily recommend. There is a hotel next to it that has a great restaurant (La Cupula) that was slightly c - The room was clean. Breakfast was ok, when asked about coffee from their cafe (which was advertised) they could only offer tea. We were charged more than advertised on booking. They only accepted payment in USD cash or Bolivianos cash or card. Because our only way to pay was by card, they applied an enormous exchange rate, leading to paying by 17% more than advertised on Booking.
• Bonilla (8/5): Very good - clean rooms, great view, great service. I had some time to spare before I left Copacabana and my checkout time didn't help the situation. They very gracefully let me safely store my baggage free of charge for a few hours while I wasted time around town. When I came back for it, it was safely stored and quickly returned. Minor detail: the bathrooms are positioned right next to the hallways, meaning everyone can hear/smell your business and you can theirs too.

Room was spacious and comfortable - plenty of hit water. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and tasty. WiFi didn't really work in our room, but was good in the common areas. Walls seemed pretty thin - could hear guests in the next room pretty clearly - luckily they weren't loud at bed time.
