Guest Reviews
- Happiness08937986498 (8/5): Rustic Historic Charm - We had a nice relaxing night after riding the train all day. There is a full kitchen and fridge that is in a common area but all available for use. Has a rustic charm to it. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. It maintains it's historical status by not having an elevator to the third floor, but once I caught my breath, it was fine. I would stay again.
- H6987AKheidih (10/5): Perfect Experience - What a great place to stay in Silverton! Such a unique, old building with so much character. The private room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. My favorite part was the record player. I listened to the vinyl for hours! Bathroom was clean, decorated nicely, and stocked with great amenities. Hotel is within walking distance to downtown. Check in, and out was super easy. Will definitely return!
- ellen (10/5): - no bar
- emilybP3860YJ (10/5): Great stay at the Avon! - I had a wonderful experience with the Avon. There was a problem with my room, and Pat reached out immediately to let me know and offered a refund. I still stayed there, and had a great experience. Pat and the residents at the hotel were nice. With the hostel-style rooming and lots of games/books around, it's easy to talk to others (but only if you'd like to!). I went in the fall, and there were lots of backpackers and people passing through. The location of the hotel is great, I was able to walk to everything I needed within the town. The hotel itself had a historic feel and was quite cozy. When I went, their kitchen and bar were closed, but they offered the areas for guests to use, which was a nice plus. It's obvious this hotel is run by two caring locals who do everything they can - I highly recommend this place!
- 536kellyeh (10/5): AMAZING PLACE! - This place was AMAZING!!! I stumbled upon it as a last minute search, and I could not have been more thrilled! Daniel was so nice helping me set up my reservation. The entire facility was so clean, and so well cared for. Eclectic, historic, and has such a cool vibe! The bed, pillows, linens were so so comfortable. And, everybody that I met there was so nice and friendly! I hung out with other residents during the evening, and it was the most surprising and delightful part of my trip. I will absolutely stay there again!
- elyse (10/5): - It was easy to check in, but difficult getting up 3 stair flights..very clean and retro, nice big room, big bathroom, great WiFi so I could work, affordable
- Julia (10/5): - Such a fun place to stay
- Explorer08266021051 (10/5): 100 out of 10! Would recommend! - This place is Amazing! It’s cozy, CLEAN, and just an all around chill vibe. We loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to be back! We wanted to stay in Silverton Co. for our anniversary, the Avon seemed to be the best option so we booked it! Upon arrival we were met with great customer service and easy check in! We were so pleased with our room, decorated with antiques and very clean. This place is an amazing stop if you are going through silverton, it’s easy to appreciate this well maintained piece of history building.

- scottmT2941DU (10/5): What a great surprise! - Woah. This is a hybrid hostel, self-serve home, and community meeting center. We didn't have any expectations. We were floored. Easy checkin. Open kitchen. Free coffee bar. Plenty of common seating. Luxury bathrooms after the dirty days of hiking and 4-wheeling. And right in the center of town. Made our visit to the Silverton area even more memorable. Enjoy this place!
- Connie (4/5): - This is a historic hotel, but not maintained. The picture on the hotel. Com site is not like it appears now. It’s dark , dingy, in lobby. dirty carpet in room, no window treatments, window won’t close. Only met one staff at check-in, and desk was an old bar. Very disappointed and only stayed one of the two nights I payed for, and cost was overpriced for the accommodations, and lacked amenities.
- MacKenzie (10/5): - Room is clean and property is unique. This is our second time staying here. Went with a room with shared bathroom this time. No concerns about shared bathroom as there are multiple bathrooms available. Love that everyone is on a different kind of adventure. Great option for the adventurous traveler. Dog friendly and plenty of parking options if bring your off-road vehicles.
- Michael (10/5): Repeat guests! - Great hotel. Second time to stay there!
- Jennifer (10/5): - Pet friendly, nice staff, location.
- 652jessm (8/5): Corky and cute spot to stay - We had a great stay at The Avon. The place was clean, and it was great to have full use of the kitchen facilities. The location was perfect, and all of the other guests were friendly. The only complaint is the lack of AC in the room. There are also not screens in the windows so opening that for airflow wasn’t an option. They do have bedside fans, however that didn’t cut it for us. Overall, this was a great stop.
- gfchew (8/5): Great place, . . . rude and aggressive local, . . . not a guest. - The Avon is a fantastic hostel in Silverton with a fantastic atmosphere that really fits with the environment. I would definitely stay there on a return trip.
The only problem was a weirdo local (i.e., not a guest) who hung around the Avon in the lobby. When I sat down to watch the television, he asked me to leave because he doesn't "like to be around people." He was extremely rude and aggressive. He also was verbally abusive to a female guest who had to call the sheriff, but they were unable to do anything about it.
- 656vivianf (2/5): Unsafe hostel with no employee supervision/support - No employees at the hostel. I emailed and texted both owners with no response with regards to a squatter in the hostel who was bothering the female guests. I was scared for my safety and got the sheriff involved but because no owners could be contacted, they couldn’t do anything. I had to leave as I feared for my safety (only way sheriff could help was if he hurt me).
- Brian (10/5): - This is an historic property in the historic town of Silverton Colorado. We felt our stay was outstanding! Our room and bath were immaculate. The bedding was very comfortable. We especially appreciated the lobby and furnished bar area. While the hotel does not serve alcohol, guests are welcome to sit in the bar area and visit, watch TV and play games. A full commercial kitchen is also available for guests to use. The Avon is dog-friendly, and our pooch enjoyed meeting the other well-behaved pups. We had a great visit and appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely return.
- Robbie (6/5): - I want to like the Avon but not the best experience. My wife booked a room for me while I was bike packing the Colorado Trail. She was told I would receive instructions on how to check in - I never got a text or email. Walked in to the lobby and there were multiple people all standing behind the main bar - which looked like a reception desk. After being ignored I finally noticed a small picture frame with a phone number and overheard another guest on his phone trying to figure out how to check in. After hearing him I realized the key was in a box behind the counter. I also then realized no one was actually working there. I guess the bar and kitchen is free range for guest - but since I never received any communication from the Avon I had no idea. The room was also a disappointment. Described as the Fire Suite with a king and queen - we needed two beds so that's what she booked. The queen ended up being a mattress on the floor, up a steep ladder in a loft with about 4 feet of headroom. Its a cool building with tons of history in a good location. Just not so great service from the owners.
- Jose (10/5): - Would stay at the Avon again! It was nice meeting new people / through hikers!
- Robin (6/5): - Funky, historic mining town. Residents were friendly and helpful. Good food options in town.
- CHARLES (10/5): - Nice
- Ryan (10/5): - Cool spot
- julierN1450BG (10/5): Friendly clean with character - Friendly community quality with use of kitchen and hang out areas on all floors. Very clean and comfortable rooms with great character. One of my favorite places to stay!
- 629arianaf (10/5): Fun, cozy, friendly spot to stay in the mountains! - I was adventuring solo for a few days and stayed in the 3-bed hostel room at the Avon. The room was small but the bed was comfy, the amenities were nice (i.e. towels and toiletries in the bathroom), and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It is a funky, cozy, old-timey spot in the mountains, with a covered porch with rocking chairs so you can sit outside and look at the mountains winding down after a day of hiking or having your morning coffee. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks to Pat for all the help making this a great mini-vacation!

- L1068GWcolint (10/5): Really great stay! - Stayed here during Hardrock 100 week. Greta place with great people. It has a cool vibe and everyone was super friendly. Rooms was clean and it was actually not too warm at all. No AC but there is a fan and our room window was a little shaded by trees so we always had a great sleep. Would stay here again for sure.
The only very small issue was the lack of pots in the kitchen. It was a full house of runners and only 1 proper pot to boil pasta. Otherwise the place has everything you need.
- 883craigf (8/5): mountain adventures HQ - This IS NOT the Ritz Carlton. BUT if you need a conveniently located place for Silverton's restaurants, railroad, mountains, etc., this is your place. Funky, comfortable, clean - it has kind of a European hostel sort of "feel". The room we had was spacious, with a nice bathroom. We would book here again.
- O8638XZedk (10/5): Fantastic - Awesome, beautiful old hotel. Really nice, updated bathrooms. So much fun hanging with other guests and just looking around. Some nice woodworking.Very clean! Loved it!
- Jerry (10/5): - Great welcoming vibe! Perfect spot to access the outdoors surrounding Silverton.
- ericsL4624DK (10/5): Colorado Trail Stay, Zero Day - I was hiking the Colorado Trail and stayed here for two nights, one night in the bunk room and one night in a private room. Great common space and and nice accommodation. Super chill. Pat is a great hostel/motel manager and was very helpful for things to do in town and helping other hikers.
- sobiedo700 (6/5): Not a very good stay. - Not a very good stay on 7-3-25 thru 7-5-25. Bathroom soap botte and shower gels were empty. Beds were really soft and hard to sleep on. Our room was noisy during our stay due to walls been so thin could hear people besides us and on floor above us. Went to front desk to inquire about our soap issue and noise but nobody was ever there to talk to. Best thing about our stay was the great fireworks show hotel was perfect location to watch the show from.
- Danielle (10/5): Comfortable Historic Stay - Perfect Silverton stay! Historic unique hotel/hostel. It was clean and comfortable. They let our dog stay and they even allowed us to store our mountain bikes. We had a great time!
- Rickey (8/5): - Property was unique made some great friends
- kaylan949 (10/5): Best Pet Friendly Place - This was the perfect place to stay! I traveled with my dog, and I loved how dog friendly The Avon was. The room was perfect for sleeping in and the shared bathrooms were clean. The location is also perfect for walking through the town or spending the night to go hiking nearby. Will definitely be staying here again!
- L7172SNjohnn (10/5): Fun and unique hotel - Awesome restored historic hotel in Silverton. Clean and cozy. Owners friendly and accommodating. Good value for the price. Walking distance to everything. A unique experience.
- Sanda (8/5): - Very rustic love the oldness about it. Probably not for the bougie kind of people.
- ronrQ9465RX (10/5): Rich experience - This hotel has a Fantastic ambiance and is priced well.
There used to be lots of places like this but they are fastest appearing. Perfect for meeting other travelers and it's just a beautiful hotel.
Support this hotel and have a richer experience.
- RAYMOND (10/5): - Very unique place with some really cool relics!
- C7357CKjoans (10/5): Great stay - Great laid back place with awesome items to see! We enjoyed our stay and nice comfy bed and record player! Would stay here again! Beautiful area with great views! Thanks for a great stay. Would recommend to other family and friends! We wanted to meet Ivy but didn’t get the chance…
- amymV6386FY (10/5): The Avon is awesome - We rolled into Silverton to do a mine tour and had no place to stay. Online said no availability, so we just showed up there and asked one of the property managers if he could accommodate us for a night. He gave us the best room in the house. Every window had a snowy mountain top view. The hotel has a great vibe, and aesthetically had me sold. He also let us know that they let patrons use their kitchen area behind the bar anytime, and store food items in their refrigerator. Very cool place there with funky old timey decor. Highly recommend !
- Arslan (10/5): - Great for a hostel and very unique interior decor, overall unique experience.
- jeanvR5543XT (4/5): Unresponsive communications - I called to reschedule our night but a voice recording said to email. There was no response to my email dispute requesting a call back. Late on the reservation date I received a text that asked me when we were arriving. It would have been nice to have been offered a rain check.
- H997HWemilyb (10/5): Great experience - Great local spot to stay for a few days while skiing around Silverton. Super accommodating, pet friendly, very clean, super nice owners and staff, and it has a full kitchen/lounge area to use. The Avon has a relaxed vibe. We'll be staying here again.
- Roving40663708115 (10/5): A gem for outdoor adventures in Silverton - They call it an "adventure hostel" and that is exactly what it is. The Avon is unique, cool, and authentic. The owners rock and all the other guests were nice. There was a group of 12 Navy Seals spending 3 weeks at the Avon to ski backcountry if that's any indication. Accommodations are no frills but comfy and you can use the kitchen for cooking. Super laid back homy vibe and very cool interior decoration + seating areas.
- Sydney (8/5): - nice
- Jasper (10/5): - Can’t beat the Avon! It’s the best place in town for adventurers.
- JillyJ406 (10/5): Cozy, warm, and welcoming place to stay! - I absolutely loved this place and will visit again! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with the wood stove crackling, creaky wood floors, and historic ambience. Patrick is helpful and attentive. You can use the kitchen and bar at your leisure and the bed was comfy and warm. I stayed four nights and after hard days of heli-skiing at Silverton Mountain I enjoyed coming home to the Avon very much. The other guests were friendly and fun. You can linger in the common area and enjoy a drink or board game with new friends, or retire to a reading nook or your room for privacy. Restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery store are all a quiet walk down historic streets. There were even a few canine guests who welcomed everyone with a tail wag.
- U7226EXabigails (10/5): Cool vibes! - This places is cool! Chill vibes, super clean, and fun space. I stayed in the hostel type room and was pleased with how clean the room and shared bathroom was. I felt comfortable in a shared space and will definitely be back! Being able to use the kitchen space was also a plus!
- Lisa (10/5): Will always choose the Avon - We love the Avon! Dog friendly, communal spaces, and character!
- Michael (10/5): Thumbs up - First class experience all the way. Don't tell itself is full of rustic charm and the staff was friendly and professional. We're recommend to any traveling in the Durango Silverton area.
- Travelingboopers95 (10/5): 🔥🔥🔥 - This place was so neat and adorable! Ivy was such a sweet gal. And we even got to let our pup stay with us. Stayed while passing through town. Big comfy bed. Stayed in the fire suite which was cool. Got to see some history from the building. Loved that we could use the commercial grade communal kitchen and how guests could mingle in the movie room and other communal spaces. Would 10/10 recommend. Will be coming back
- Alexander Harold (10/5): - There are so many things to like about this place it's hard to list them all.
- Diamond_D (10/5): Great value and accommodations - Very nice stay, and a good value. Love the old building, great lobby and the room is very clean and in great shape with a nice bathroom (in my private room). Love the flexibility of having a kitchen and bar, somewhere between and hostel and an upscale hotel depending on your needs. Would gladly return.
- B7757RAmarilyns (10/5): Loved Silverton and the Avon! - We loved the atmosphere of the Avon, and ended up staying another night. Loved the big kitchen and absolutely loved the porch. It was a perfect place to relax after some great backpacking. Wanted to watch movie downstairs, but ended up enjoying company of other hikers all evening. Would definitely stay again!!
- Patti (10/5): Great experience - We needed a hotel suddenly secondary to fresh snow storm. Few told available in town. The Avon is a restored 100* year old establishment, functioning previously to house miners. The owner has created a cozy, comfortable hotel. So glad we had the opportunity to experience the Avon. Would definitely recommend
- David (6/5): - The most surprising aspect is that we never interacted with someone in person. There was a note to make a phone call when checking in. The first person didn't answer; fortunately, the second one did. I was told where to find the key to our room and where it was located on the 3rd floor. No elevator since this is a historic building with numerous antiques. This property was really more of a hostel since it had shared bathrooms, which were nice! The problem we had is that it was noisy with sounds from other guests coming and going on the creaky wood floors. Fortunately, it was cool since there was only a fan in the room for air circulation. An advantage of this property is that it is not on the main street in the center of town so, I assume, that it would be quieter from outdoor sounds. For people wanting to visit, there were nice areas both inside and outside for people to sit. As a plus, one could use the kitchen to cook if they wanted. A variety of teas and coffee was available in the lobby in a Keurig machine. When checking out, one puts the key in a drop box.
- Donna (8/5): Bohemian beauty - We were traveling to see the colors with my 88 year old Mother in Law in western CO and stayed in Silverton because lodging in the area is outrageously expensive. Found the Avon online. It was nothing like we were expecting but delightful all the same. Bohemian is the word I’d use to describe it. It was very clean, the only problem we had is getting my MIL up and down the stairs but other than that we had a nice stay
- Seng (8/5): - Stayed in bunk bed room, sharing with fellow hikers. The combination of private rooms and hostel style bunk beds is rather unique. Great way to meet and interact with multitudes of hotel occupants.
- getdanet (10/5): The Perfect Place - My husband and I had a great time while at the hotel. It is one of the most comfortable places we have stayed. The atmosphere was fantastic. We ate out and loved the Spokes Restraunt. The Avon has several places to sit and read a book, have coffee, enjoy the company of other guess. You have a choice of a quiet place or a gathering place your choice. It was extremely clean. We had a room with a bathroom. I did go into the common/shared bathroom and it was very clean and felt like you were at home.
- Garrett (10/5): - I enjoyed staying in the 3-bed hostel-style room. A few days ago I stayed in the 5-bed room and that felt a bit too cramped, but this time it was quite a nice experience.
- Ewa (10/5): - Love the mix of style and comfort
- joannegD4750ME (8/5): Avon is wonderful! - We loved our stay, for those who have problems climbing stairs you might consider somewhere else.We so enjoyed the space people we met and the historic Building. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. It was a easy walk into town or drive.
- _D1240KX (10/5): One of the best hostels I've stayed at - Aweaome hostel, one of the best I've been at, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, free coffee, just great. The building is cozy, an old renovated wooden house. Big kitchen, clean beds and rooms, had a reallly good stay. Thre's a deck, a common area, a fireplace, and a few restaurants nearby, within short walking distance. Just awesome.
- N4905QXsteveo (10/5): I feel at home - I have stayed at the Avon three times in the last three years and it is one the most relaxing and laid back places I have ever stayed at. The quality of stay is always excellent with clean rooms, clean bathroons, excellent common areas for reading, listening to music and meeting new friends. Dan and Pat the owners are very nice and welcoming to all their guests. I'll come back again!
- Z3170QOlisah (10/5): Absolutely Amazing - The Avon was prefect! My visit was mainly planned to hike Ice Lake with my dog.
My dog and I stayed September 3rd-6th, I booked room 11, queen bed with private bath. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were the absolute best!
I chose The Avon for it being extremely dog friendly. Upon arrival the resident dog roamed the common areas and I immediately knew this was the best place to have booked. You can tell Daniel Clute, Owner has taken a lot of heartfelt time & energy into the renovations.
I loved the rustic mountain vibe from moment I walked in, the historic feel with old hard wood floors. The vintage aesthetics were awesome. The views from the decks were breathtaking.
Walking distance to everything in town.
Best place to stay Silverton!
- Katharine (4/5): - We never saw anyone who worked there. Our key was given to us by a guest. The bar was nonexistent, only in pictures , there but nonfunctional. Way overpriced for what was offered. An overpriced hostel at best.
- Raymond (10/5): - Great place, thanks!
- mattlW3216RU (10/5): Really cool spot - Really cool spot and set-up. Communal area / amenities and general vibe excellent. Comfy bed/pillows. Great location walking distance to everything in Silverton. Perfect jumping off point for adventures in/around Silverton and the greater San Juan’s. Will definitely stay here again when returning to Silverton.
- Ian (10/5): - Very unique stay! This is basically a hostel with private rooms, would stay here again.
- Shai (6/5): - LOVE the style and the facility - like staying in a hostel back in the wild west days but with great amenities. I love the design throughout the facility with all the old items, etc. Can't beat the price too for a dorm room if you are in the area for whatever reason and don't want to spend too much money on a hotel.
However - I did not have a good night sleep which was why I paid to crash at the Avon.
For two reasons:
1) The room was SO hot. No idea if they have AC or not but the room was hot and stuffy. I know Silverton is up in the mountains and has nice evening air but it was not helpful inside that room.
2) Two pillows were provided - both were huge and very thick/hard which did not work for my neck. Had to go with no pillow which also did not help. Need to remember to bring my own pillow when traveling by car and have toom to take it with me.
Bottom line - would probably stay there again and hope to sleep better with my own pillow.
Room temperature might still be an issue I will have to consider.
- Caitlin (10/5): - The Avon is an excellent stay- the highlight of our visit to Silverton!
- Marko (10/5): - I loved this funky little place it had a positive vibe about it
- David (10/5): - Second time at the Avon. Stayed as part of a trip to hike Ice Lake. Bonus for this place is it is a stopover for though-hikers on the Colorado Trail. Great to talk with the hikers about their adventures. Will be back!
- Vijay (8/5): - Very good location in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is an old building converted to a lodge & restaurant. Common areas are very well decorated like an old Western saloon. Liked access to the common kitchen in the restaurant downstairs to make your own breakfast etc., if you have an early start. Keurig machine is available but for some reason only tea pods were the ones available.
- Alexia (10/5): - This was probably my favorite accommodation I have ever stayed at! Its so charming and eclectic, while also being very clean and comfortable. My partner and I brought our dog and she had a great time wandering the common spaces and meeting the house dog, Ivy! The old movie theater in the basement is awesome - streaming apps logged in so you can go ahead and watch Netflix in the coolest place you every will! Checkin / out was easy and everyone was super friendly. Access to kitchen was a huge plus since we were camping before and after our stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Unbelievable - Somehow I got placed in a shared room, about 1/3 the size of a camping cabin, with 5 bunk beds rented out to random people. Felt like a sauna. Had couple mini fans. No AC. Shared bathroom facilities. Spent night in my car. (Covid is still around). Checked out in morning.
I prepaid 2 nights through Hotels.com. Requested refund for 2nd night. Avon Hotel won't authorize 2nd nite refund.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really unique hostel in Silverton. Loved the decor and comfort of the rooms/shared spaces.
- Catherine (8/5): - We never met any staff
- Demetre (10/5): - Best place to stay in the city!
- Jason (10/5): - This is the most unique little hotel I've ever stayed at. The rooms were very clean the king says bed was exceptional and comfortable and the pillows were as well. I don't want to say too much to ruin it but if you're near Silverton or in this part of Colorado it is worth a visit
- Mary Colleen (10/5): - Wonderful!!!! So clean and what a neat idea to create a step back in time !! We loved our stay!!
- Chris (10/5): Best in Silverton (or anywhere) - If you’re staying in Silverton, the Avon is a must. This a truly unique facility you won’t find elsewhere. Super friendly owner. I may come back to Silverton just to stay here again.
- praveen (10/5): Awesome hidden gem in Silverton - Quaint and charming place located before a scenic background in Silverton. The owner was kind, the rooms and communal bathrooms were great, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was pleasant. The history behind the hotel was an added bonus! Our room had a queen and 2 bunk beds. Owner ensured that they are individual fans for bunk beds. Shared bathrooms were clean and equipped with enough towels/toiletries. There is a record player in our room and we enjoyed old classics. There is a media player in the basement, an added bonus.
- LaDawna (4/5): - We did like the idea of the owner. Renovation of old property. He did a good job and has really cool things about it. The room had extremely slanted floors, maybe 10 x 10 at the top of the stairs. Gap under door made it very noisy. Wood floors which were cool but we could hear everyone that came up stairs. Dog fight in hallway around 11:30 first night we stayed. Had a hard time goin back to sleep. Owner wasn't friendly at all. Very matter of fact...just not a warm friendly atmosphere at all. Bathrooms were girl and boy but was shared with everyone the floor. Maybe 6 rooms shared. Stalls so not terrible. Nice back porch. Chilly so didn't use it. Really cool things about the property. Just didn't sleep well at all either night. It wasn't what I would stay in again but could see my grown children enjoying it because it is unique. Very clean and lots of good things....just not for me.
- James (8/5): - Nice people. Comfortable bed. Slept well
- Justin (10/5): - Awesome place with loads of flavor and history. Great common areas for work or drinks. Definitely recommended!
- Charmaine (8/5): - Retro and feels like home
- Santiago (10/5): Gem of Silverton - Always my favorite place to stay in Silverton! Such a welcoming vibe. Truly a rare and special gem of Colorado.
- Kristen (10/5): - The owners made you feel right at home. The history and nostalgia of this property was amazing and the owners are doing a great job at updating but holding onto history. The beds were comfy, and shower rooms were nice done and updated.
- Clara (10/5): Colorado Dream Hotel - Absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed in room 11 (private rm with our own bathroom). Loved that the room had a record player for entertainment and books galore! We also had a beautiful view of the mountains from our bedroom window. There’s a tv in the common area for those that want it, but this property is so charming there’s no need to sit around and watch tv. Close enough in town to get out and walk around to places you need to go. I hope to return someday if just to stay here!
- Alvin (10/5): - Danial was an extraordinary host.
- Sibone (10/5): - Wonderful owner who has restored this property, a lot of love and attention to detail. So many places to relax and visit read play games or help yourself to the communal kitchen. Comfortable bed, amazing views, something to investigate in every room or wall. We will definitely stay here again, Daniel is prompt and courteous to request and needs. Thank you for a great stay.
- Felipe (10/5): Hands down BEST PLACE stayed at on 2 wk CO trip - Daniel and everything about the place was awesome. What a great find on a last minute booking when weather turned from bad to worse. Thank you Daniel for such a great time that my daughter and I will talk about for a long time.
- Renata (10/5): - What a gem! We got surprised by bad weather for camping and booked last minute stay at the Avalon and could not be more impressed! the work the owner did to renovate -and yet keep the charm and special parts of the building from 1904 - is amazing! Lots of cool amenities, great style and nice shared area downstairs to cook, relax by the fire and meet other guest.
The extra starts go to Daniel, the owner, for making the offer and effort to ship here to denver a couple of things I've left at the hotel by mistake - than you so much!
We for sure intend to go back!
- Melody (10/5): - I was really impressed by this restored boarding house. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to see. I stayed in one of the hostel rooms and my bed was comfortable, the shared restroom was beautiful and clean and my bunk bed was very comfortable. I want to come back and spend more time here.
