• Selah (8/5): - The place was in a great area! Close to the beach and some great local businesses! The parking was not ideal as it is very small. It was frustrating when one unit had more than one vehicle and took more than one spot. They advertise a smart tv but all of the apps were locked up so you couldn’t access your Netflix etc and could only watch cable. Cable was fine for us but don’t advertise a smart tv if it’s locked up and unable to be accessed. Overall a fabulous stay!! We would return!

• Wendal (6/5): - I really enjoyed visiting two summers ago but this fall, the property appeared abandoned. There was one guy with a truck who may have been watching over the property, but I wasn’t sure. My third night, I looked up and saw a guy with a gray sweater and blond hair watching me from the second floor of the building next door. There was a disturbance, a loud sound of hammering or repairs in one of the rooms a couple doors down at 1am. I called the emergency number saying I wasn’t sure that it was an emergency but that the noise disturbed me, No one called back. I won’t visit in the fall again, but would be willing to try again in the summer. The property managers were helpful on the phone when I had questions about the coded door lock.

• Terry (8/5): - Parking not easy. Fortunately we stayed during the off season so not many vehicles to maneuver around. Staff over the phone were very polite and helpful.
• Dakota (10/5): - We just stayed at See Sea October 18th-20th 2024 for a last minute quick trip from Elizabeth city. Great price, we thought it was too good to be true. Wrong!! We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean, plenty of parking and right across the street from a public beach access site. 2 minute walk to some shops and Target is only a couple of minutes down the road. We didn’t have any issues and I believe it was just us and 2 other families there so it was quiet. The appliances all worked. Tv was great. We loved the outside grill access and picnic tables. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. It didn’t feel like a motel, and we feel like it was way better than any hotel on the strip.
• Skylar (8/5): - It was great the only thing I’d say is there were bugs here and there (gnats mostly) and the room felt kind of sticky due to the way the air conditioning is and the proximity to the ocean.

• Teresa (8/5): - I loved how the property was easily accessible to public beach access. The pool was clean and so was are room( we stayed in standard king). Not sure if this is standard procedures as we have never stayed in a motel but there were no towels given for shower and the floor got wet from the shower. Seems dangerous and likely easily water damage. Our room was connect to another room by what looked like a closet door so it was NOT quiet. We could hear everything in their room and Vice Versa. The coffee kurieg was a great touch but then the little styrofoam cups they gave us didn’t even fit the only setting provided on the machine. Causing overflow and coffee everywhere. Otherwise great for the one night we stayed and would recommend the place for someone who was looking for a short stay in the outer banks!
• Verified traveler (6/5): Not great, but not bad. - Pretty good stay. Room was way smaller than I thought it’d be. TV was not working with a strong signal so channel would cut every five seconds. Check-in was a little weird because it was just some guy in an office the size of a walk in closet coming in and out. Guy was nice though! No problem there. Would I stay again? Probably, depending on which room I get to stay in! Oh, and please invest in a decent office. This poor guy is working in a shoe closet!

Across the street from the beach. Lots of restaurants closeby and convenient to anything you might need. Pool small but clean. It was perfect for us. Woukd stay there again
• Kailee (10/5): - This was such a cute little spot! The beach was a quick walk. There were several restaurants that were a minute walking distance. The rooms were extremely clean. Super easy check in and check out… i didn’t even have to talk to anybody, i was just emailed my room # and key code. 10/10 will definitely stay here again
• Emeral (6/5): - Firstly I’ll start with what was good, the room we got was very clean. The pool was nice. And overall the location is very nice. Easy access to the beach, and plenty of things to do within close proximity. The bad. The parking here is awful, do not recommend at all if you have a larger vehicle. You must squeeze through some tight corners where other guests are parked. We received two towels for a 5 day stay, we called and requested clean linens. We were told they would bring them the next day and never received anything. We had to purchase our own toilet paper, towels, and common pleasantries. Our refrigerator just didn’t work at all and the room is very tiny with limited places to sit things, or store things. Overall I do not think we would stay here again, we are very disappointed with the stay.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed - Room was very small. It was nicely updated and decorated but the mattress was like a board and pillows looked old and very used and squishy. Sheets seemed old and very used also. There was no closet or anywhere at all to hang clothes, not even a hook anywhere except on the bathroom door. There were 2 small dim lamps on the end tables and very bright recessed ceiling lights. A floor lamp or lamp on dresser would have been nice so that we didn’t have to use the bright ceiling lights. No clock radio. TV was very weird. When you changed the volume or channel a ladies voice repeated each channel or volume. Drawers had no knobs or handles and were very hard to open. Bathroom and room seemed clean but throw pillow was very dirty. We liked the checked process.
• Eric (8/5): Hard mattress - This was a cute, unique roo. The hardest mattress I've ever slept on!! Very clean but NO WHERE to put your stuff!
• Marianne (10/5): Great place for an awesome price. - The establishment was clean, cute decor and quiet. Directly across the beach and a short one block walk to public access. No need for a car. Clean pool and great lounge chairs. Cleaning people bring you towels everyday.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Nice room but no contact info and ants everywhere. - The room was nice but there was not a number to call with issues after 5pm (sounded like there were a herd of elephants in the room on top of us and didn’t stop until 4am) and there were tons of ants in our room once we woke up

• sherri and mike (4/5): - The hotel is very difficult to reach. Our shower did not drain. I know it’s tough at the beach with sand but had housekeeping cleaned the shower, they should have made an effort to unclog the shower. If you like showering in water deeper than your ankles with no ability to contact staff, this hotel is perfect! It’s a shame too because this location is great, check in was smooth and the room was cute. I just really want a shower that I can use on my vacation especially one at the beach.

• Stephen (10/5): Hangout - We really enjoyed the See Sea. Super quick walk to the beach. As others have said parking is tight, but it’s manageable. Very clean. AC super cold. Loved the beach decor of Hangout 5. Pool was clean. The only negative thing I could even say is that there’s one of those instant coffee things, they even included a few pods, but no mugs or cups to brew into. For a place to crash at the beach the price is unbeatable. Would definitely visit again.
• Nicole (6/5): - You get what you pay for! It looked too good to be true and it was. The pros: one block away from the beach. The pool area was very nice. The cons: parking was ridiculously tight. When we opened the door we were greeted with the most musty/moldy smell I have ever smelled. It made me nauseous. Now I know when a place is close to water it can have a moisture problem and this place does big time! We only stayed 2 nights and when we got home the musty smell permeated everything. There was black mold on the shower curtain. The room is small - I mean SMALL!

We were early and they did allow us to check in early, thankfully. So that was good. It was small ( get the apartment, its spacious) Awful parking lot. Dont bring a truck ( there is limited parking at the road for oversized) the parking was on an angle and awful to get out. Overall, for the price , it was fine. Boyfriend did not care for it at all but for 1 night it was fine.

Loved our kitchenette & the little things for example, k-cups & bottled water. We enjoyed our stay & will book here again for next stay!

• Heather (8/5): - It is a nice, small, motel near the beach and walkable to several dining locations, public beach access, shopping, etc along Virginia Dare Trl. No major complaints, considering the price point it was excellent, No on site manager so if that bothers you be warned, they send you a portal login with details on how to open the door with a code and we had no issues. The parking lot is very narrow which wasnt a big deal early in the week when i think we were the only guests, but as it filled up it became a little more difficult to navigate and we were in a compact sedan, do not recommend for guests in larger SUVs or trucks. Otherwise fit our needs, cute and beachy, didnt break the bank.
• Virginia (2/5): Do not recommend-staff is nonexistent! - Absolutely horrible! Tried to call ahead to check in earlier since we noticed our travel time would put us there about an hour early. No answer, no return call. So arrived only 5mins early. No staff on grounds, no where to check in. Tried all three numbers, no answer, no returned calls. We called over 8 times and left about 5 messages. I finally called Hotels.com for help and that was a JOKE. After getting nowhere with first person asked for a manager and I got a lady named Judy, who also said they couldn’t get through and that I needed to hang up due to the error and she’d call me back. In the mean time we managed to track down the emergency after hours number (though it’s only 4:30pm at this point) and finally someone answered and was able to help us. Basically you have to be emailed a code for the door locks. Ours FINALLY arrived at 2:19 am on the day of check out!!!! If you have an SUV or large Truck good luck parking, parking is tiny and limited. Couldn’t sleep well because: 1) They use blinds on windows that let in their outside lights all night. 2) The bed was uncomfortable/lumpy, old, no support 2) Then the rooms next to us were drunkards up outside our window ALL night being loud. The only pluses are location & clean.

Could walk to a few food options and beach access, but everything else that we wanted to do was within 5 minutes drive and it was very easy to get around. The room was bright and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had everything that we needed for a quick stay at the beach. Would stay again.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice stay! - We had a nice long weekend stay at this motel. It is small and older but it did the job that we needed for the weekend. The room was clean and comfortable. It’s right across from the beach and near plenty of restaurants. Check in and check out was keyless and easy. The grass could be cut outside and the parking lot is very small. If you’re in a large truck or vehicle you may have a problem parking in the lot. Those were the only cons. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

We loved the small but well equipped kitchen (although it needs a spatula and more coffee cups) and it was nice to have a couch and table for four for meals and games. • Allison (10/5): - Loved the place! It was super clean aside from a dead flu, spider etc. but that just means any spraying done is working lol. Also, great location! My biggest issue was my discovering the wall controls had nothing to do with the air. Idk if there’s a disconnect or a hustle but once I figured it out we had no trouble keeping cool. Would def stay here again! It was super cute.
• Julia (10/5): - Cute and clean for a reasonable price. Kitchen area and bathroom clean and nice. Carpet needs cleaning. Comfortable chair would be nice. Only had pub/bistro dining set.
• Jim (4/5): - Terrible parking if you have SUV or truck. Angled parking, my truck stuck out too far for others to pass. Could not open doors fully without bumping other vehicles. The room had no table, one chair. There was not dresser or closet to hang clothes. Suitcases had to sit on the floor. Bathroom had no place to put articles, had to raise blind on the window and use the sill for a shelf. The bathroom was clean, the king size bed was comfortable. There is no office or staff on site. A call to the office was a recording, no call back received that week.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing stay - Pros: We spent two nights three days here and let me tell you, it was amazing. The motel is in the perfect location, within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and the fishing pier. Cons: There was only 3 bath towels, and no paper towels. Parking was super super tight for a full sized truck.

Had to clean out the sand from the tub myself. An expensive piece of jewelry was taken. Never made a bed or changed sheets. Got a couple new towels and a roll of toilet paper.

• Donna (4/5): Never Again - It was a very small room with nowhere to hang your clothes. No hair dryer, no iron. Had to call for washcloths and was told they only service every other day, so we asked for 2 days worth of towels and washcloths. They left 1 days worth. No replacement soaps, cups, coffee etc. Also parking is atrocious.
• Kenya (8/5): Nice spot - Very nice motel to for a quick stay. Room was very clean and really close to the beach. 1-2 days at the hotel will suffice

• Yasmine (8/5): - Check in was easy. The room itself is pretty small but it was enough for 2 people. The room was clean though. The bed wasn’t comfy as it was saggin in the middle so it made it hard to sleep and yes I woke up to an ache in my back. It was very walkable though. The beach wasn’t far at all. Parking was good. Not sure how parking works when it’s peak season though. Other than that. Room was ok for what we paid

• Mary (8/5): - We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and updated this little place was. Very cute interior and very clean! Parking spaces provided but very tight for a small SUV. There was no attendant on the property so one must call the number on the door to check in. Keypads on doors are easy to use for entry to your room. Location close to beach access.

Maintenance guy was super friendly, However, nobody onsite 24/7 to provide efficient help/service when needed or to even answer questions. Insufficient towels provided. No daily housekeeping unless requested. A/C unit seemed inefficient. Stains on carpet.
• Donna (10/5): Nice stay - Nice room comfortable No ice machine on location and there was a microwave and small fridge but no utensils so bring your own if need be. Located next to all restaurants and beach. Good stay

• Jamie (6/5): Beach simplicity - This property was exactly what I expected for a small beach motel. Although not all the updates and amenities of a fancy hotel, it was clean and decorated in coastal theme. Our air conditioner wasn’t working on the second evening and when we called, they moved us to another room.
• Carolyn (4/5): - The room was very clean but had nothing I needed. An iron and hairdryer, nothing in the kitchen. The parking was terrible. Hardly had room to park without hitting the car next to me.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Enjoyed it! - Lovely and peaceful. Very short walk to the beach.
• Bradley (10/5): Just book it! - Had a great stay. Room was clean, water pressures and temperatures were excellent. Bed was comfortable and linens were clean. Loved the paint scheme and decorations.
