• Théo (10/5): Superbe séjour et bonne ambiance dans cet hostel - J’ai passé une semaine à l’hostel Lagares, j’ai beaucoup apprécié le séjour. J’y ai trouvé l’ambiance presque familiale, que ce soit avec les autres personnes de passage ici ou le staff. Le service assurée ici est aussi de qualité.

• Indiana (10/5): - After being cancelled by another hostel a few hours before arrival to Mendoza, these guys organised a family room for us for a 3am arrival. We were greeted with all the enthusiasm even at 3am. The vibes are great here and the cleanliness is impeccable.

• Mauricio (10/5): Interhostel de montaña - La buena onda de las personas que trabajan y viven en el hostel. También los asados de los viernes en la noche, en los cuales se invita a todos los huéspedes a participar, se come muy rico, y se comparten e intercambian historias y anécdotas, se aprenden distintos idiomas y se pasa un momento muy agradable con gente de distintos lugares. El intercambio cultural es grandioso!!! Las excursiones y salidasde montaña con los guias Jorge y Emiliano son espectaculares!!! Muy recomendables.

• CATRY (10/5): - Toute l'équipe du Lagares est exceptionnelle. Merci à eux pour leur bonne humeur, leur attention, leur curiosité. Nous n'avons fait que de très belles rencontres. Au delà du logement, l'hostel propose plein de supers services additionnels très pratiques : sorties, petits déjeuners, laverie Rien à redire. Je n'aurais pas pu imaginé mieux. Surtout pour ce prix ! Vraiment.

Prix pour faire des machines très abordable. Hostel bien placé à 15 minutes à pied du centre. Supermarchés à proximité. Propreté de la cuisine et de son matériel. Notre climatisation ne fonctionnait pas correctement (fuite d’eau). Pas d’isolation sonore dans notre chambre qui donnait directement sur le salon (conversations, son de la télé). Léger problème au niveau du paiement des taxes à l’arrivée.

• lía Yolanda (8/5): atención y limpieza exelentes, a tener en cuenta el estacionamiento no es privado, el wifi malo.. - el desayuno era muy básico, un poco descuidado.. En el servicio figura estacionamiento, es el de la calle, viaje en moto y no pude guardarla..eso me generó incomodidad a la hora de dormir

• francesco (10/5): - Ostello vicino al centro,semplice e molto accogliente ,con gli spazi necessari per rilassarsi e dialogare con altre persone Stanze ampie ,servite da capienti armadietti per custodite le tue cose ,come pure i bagni,funzionali e ordinati Tutti gli ambienti sono molto puliti Hai un buon servizio lavanderia,un angolo barbecue e un ottimo spazio cucina, dove c'è tutto quel che ti serve per prepararti da mangiare Qualità- prezzo ottimo,considerando che include anche una abbondante colazione Il personale è molto professionale Giorgio un ragazzo molto gentile e sempre disponibile ad aiutarti e consigliarti come d'altronde, tutto lo staff In conclusione,è un ostello che consiglio vivamente a chi intende visitare Mendoza ,città veramente deliziosa

• Lulú Mota (8/5): - Miren lo más bueno para ser muy sincera de la hostal era las personas que lo atendían incluido su dueño todos muy amables y muy amorosos de verdad que me atendieron del 1 al 10 con mi esposo agradezco enormemente a Natalia y al otro muchacho que no recuerdo su nombre que estaba en la noche y a Juan los tres muy amorosos y el dueño también que creo que sí quién es me atendieron muy muy bien son muy lindas personas Mira yo como sugerencia diría que los colchones podrían tratar de que sean más blanditos y poner camas dobles porque yo pedí eso y eran dos camas de plaza y media con ropa disfrazadas por ejemplo de plaza y media entonces era un poquitito incómoda y las almohadas muy muy blanditas y delgadas. Como dato adicional podrían tratar de ver la forma de que no haya tanto mosquito porque me voy toda picada pero en realidad fue todo perfecto no tuve ningún problema.

• Kristýna (10/5): - Me encantó mi estancia en este hostal. Todo estaba súper limpio, las instalaciones muy cuidadas y el ambiente era muy agradable. El personal fue increíblemente amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

• Paula (3/5): - The staff was very kind and helpful. Spoke good English. Breakfast was available, but we left too early in the morning to partake. Maybe it was that particular day, but no restaurants were open for dinner in the area. Walking around at night was like a ghost town- on a Friday night. It was strange. So location didn't turn out to be ideal. We had 2 double beds. 1 was ok, the other was permanently sunken in the middle. Room was a bit dirty feeling. Bathroom was dirty and shower was wonky. Room was small and didn't have any where to put things except the floor. We didn't use any amenities like the kitchen.

• Rachel (7/5): Basic, staff are lovely - Staff were lovely and helped to organise trips. Private rooms had lockers. They provide free towels. Not a great social atmosphere - definitely on the quieter side, would be perfect for people looking to chill on their own but cheaper to get a hotel or Airbnb. Property is quite a walk from the centre without many bars or restaurants around. Facilities are very clean but quite run down (bed was lumpy and bathrooms older).

• Joseph (9/5): A nice hostel with a good location at a good price… - Nice facility with an awesome staff. Rooms with AC and lobby sitting areas. Breakfast! Location! Mattress needs to be replaced. The bunkbed rocked back and forth when the top was occupied. A controlling individual in the room attempting to give orders?

• Konstantin (9/5): Lovely place - Javier, the receptionist is absolutely amazing! The hostel is comfortable, has got a terrace and a patio. There are at least four bathrooms so you never have to wait to shower. The breakfast is good and filling. The atmosphere was somewhat off, the guests being even rude in some cases. It’s a 20 min walk away from most restaurants and shops.

• Rahul (3/5): Had both good and very bad experience, but definitely not going back - I’ll start with the positives. My first day was really good, Javier at the reception is amazing and helped me plan my first day really well, but things started to go south from there. Response: I did not extend my trip, so clearly that's a lie , it was booked for 3 day(can be confirmed here) and I stayed 3 days, my entire Argentina trip was planned before I got there (including flights) so there was no need for me to extend. In fact I will add one more thing since you lied in your response - I saw a girl walk in that evening without a booking and even she got a room upstairs, as for tour - I was given the wrong time but the entire issue is with the behavior of one of your employee which you don't even acknowledge, You won't be able to fix a problem if you don't want to address it The big guy early in the morning was extremely rude condescending and disrespectful. I have never seen someone so rude working at a hotel or hostel. The tour bus arrived 30 minutes earlier than the time I was told and I was rushed to go on the tour without a sweater (trip was to the mountain so it’s cold up there unlike Mendoza ) and other things that I needed ,so you can imagine that I had a very bad day and when I came back, my room was changed to a room in a basement basically a dungeon that looks absolutely nothing like the rooms in pictures, no air condition(it was extremely hot in meddoza) ,no windows, no ventilation, no natural light in a small cramped room. Have a look for yourself in the pictures and judge for your self.
• Neil (9/5): Superb - Excellent hostel. Very friendly staff, giving good advice on tours etc. Good shared areas. Air conditioning in the dorms, which was very much needed.
• Molly (5/5): Disappointed in our stay here, given how good previous reviews were. We were going to lengthen our stay but ended up mov - Friendly staff (with exceptional English) Nice terrace where you could enjoy breakfast. We had a downstairs room, next to street and communal area - noise all evening and in early hours of the morning (from 6:30) so disrupted our nights sleep (we are heavy sleepers and use ear plugs so that’s saying something!) Room and bathroom not very clean. Also 1 bathroom downstairs shared across several rooms meant often queues to use bathroom. The decor in the bedroom, harsh orange sheets. Location wasn’t great, it didn’t feel very safe in the dark.
• Nic (7/5): Friendly staff - Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. The beds are old and uncomfortable. The furniture are very old. It gets very noisy at night cause of a poor sound isolation.

I am not usually one to leave a review or even a bad review and I hate even writing this because I loved the staff there but I booked a private room with a shared bathroom and I got a private room that had a window facing the street and sidewalk. It was damn near impossible to get any sleep because of all the noise from the outside. Any vehicle driving by and anyone walking by felt like they were in my room. moreover, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and I found several hairs on the sheets and the pillow was dirty but was covered with a pillowcase that was too small for it that you can see just how dirty the pillow was. The bathroom is extremely outdated. I didn’t feel comfortable using it at all. For the money that I paid I definitely expected way more. I have stayed at nice hotels with private bathroom for less.
