Guest Reviews
- Stephen (9/5): A relaxing weekend in a historic home in natural surroundings. - Somewhat secluded and off-the-beaten track lodging, yet still close to all the action! Nothing.
- William (8/5): If room was larger and more comfortable, stay would have been more enjoyable - staff great, breakfast wonderful, room clean but very small for price, bed comfortable larger room, could not move around bed, only one chair to sit down
- Patricia (10/5): It was fantastic!! Djata is the best host I have ever met!! - Breakfast next door at the Blue Shutters Inn was exceptionally tasty! Nothing
- Nancy (10/5): Un parfait bonheur - Tout Rien
- Carol (10/5): - Location was perfect. Right near the Marginal Way and walkable to everything. Breakfast was wonderful and the happy hour with guests was especially nice.

- Smith (10/5): Excellent stay with excellent staff - Location is excellent, very clean. Staff very attentive. We stayed in the trellis room - the bed is huge! Best couple of nights sleep I’ve had. Breakfasts were amazing. Nothing
- David Mehlinger (10/5): Relaxing, enjoyable, comfortable. Truly a must stay - and it is a 5 star Enjoy :) - Been coming here for years. Now under new management which Girard the new owner has kept the beauty and charm of the Trellis House. The staff is wonderful and very helpful and the breakfasts are so yummy. The grounds are well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I am a early riser and they have complimentary coffee every morning, however it is not available until 7:15 - 7:30 am . My preference would be at 6am or 6:30 am ! However there are coffee shops open close by at 6am outside of this it is a must stay !!!!
- Kim (10/5): Welcoming and cozy from start to finish! - It was beautifully kept and had so much character! Little cozy areas all around. Small touches made for such a great experience. Hard to manage the humidity, but the room and bathroom felt damp the entire stay. Again, hard to control the environmental element. It’s something good to know for anyone w allergies or sensitivities.
- Collette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (10/5): A great girls' weekend - Staff was wonderful and welcoming with great suggestions for meals and activities. Breakfast was amazing as were the treats for happy hour. The location was also great with easy access to restaurants and the Marginal Way walk. Highly recommend Nothing

- Iris (10/5): If I could, I would stay here everyone I am in Ofunquit. - Staying at the Trellis House is more live an event than a night’s stay. Thoughtful reception, great linen, and breakfast was lovely. Had to go next door to eat breakfast.

- David (10/5): The Trellis House is a must stay - The Breakfasts were so delicious :) the afternoon happy hour was such a good time and one cannot forget Bentley their dog who was so precious & delightful. The owners Lawrence & Glen and their staff are so delightful and accommodating making sure your every need is fulfilled. The Trellis house is the only place we stay when visiting Ogunquit for it seems like home away from home. The location is ideal for it is a short walk to town, or to the beach or Perkins cove. Nothing ! always great
- John (9/5): Superb - Owners were so welcoming and hospitable. Super chatty and friendly. So kind. Breakfast was out of this world...worth every penny to stay here. The pillows in the room should be replaced. They were thin and old
- Rachel (10/5): A gem of a place. Checks all the boxes. - The hosts and staff are phenomenal. The rooms all have unique decor and equally comfortable furnishings. A home away from home feel that will keep us coming back.
- Aiesi (10/5): Wonderful last minute one night stay - Host, location and breakfast were awesome Liked everything
- Gallagher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shannon (10/5): We can't wait to go back. - Lawrence and Glen really hit the mark with making the Trellis house a welcoming stay. Breakfast was delicious and the pre-dinner cocktail/pickies hour was a nice addition. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the bedding was so comfortable. Marginal Way is footsteps away from the property too.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (9/5): A beautiful respite away from the din of Main Street, made even more desirable by the courtesy of hosts and staff. - Excellent location near walking trails (The Marginal Way), gourmet breakfasts “to die for”! Courteous staff and comfortable, up-scale, slightly high-end decor. No microwave in room to heat coffee or warm up pre-made sandwiches. Access to a microwave in the house would be sufficient.

- Anonymous (9/5): We enjoyed our first trip to Ogunquit, and Trellis House was a sweet and convenient base for our explorations. - Staff was VERY attentive and friendly including Bentley, the dog.
Location was quieter than town center but within walking distance. Cozy living room and porch to share with other guests. Breakfasts were delicious, and a delicious sweet treat was provided each night. Bed was comfortable. Shower was great! Parking was very close to room. Close to Marginal Way and great restaurants. Public beach not too far. Beach towels and chairs were provided.
Convenient to trolley stop. These were very minor issues— The floor above us creaked. Rocking chairs in our room squeaked, BUT they were very comfortable. Room was tight around bed but had plenty of room for belongings.
- William (10/5): It was the best short vacation we have ever had! - The location was perfectly situated in the middle of Ogunquit and we were able to comfortably walk to Marginal Way, Perkins Cove, our dinner reservation and the beach at sunrise. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared and presented.

- Melisa (10/5): We visited the Trellis House for our wedding anniversary. - From check in to check out you feel welcomed and at home. The house is close enough to everything to walk but far enough away to remain quiet and relaxing! We will definitely be back next year!!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful room. Happy hour. Gourmet breakfast. Exceptional service from staff.
- Patrick (10/5): I felt relaxed, I felt like I was on vacation, and I know that I’ll be returning next year! - The experience was first class from check-in to check-out. Everybody was so friendly: the owners, the staff, the owners’ dog, and all of the guests. The property and the grounds are immaculate. Happy hour on the porch was a great way to connect with the other guests as well as with the owners & staff. Breakfast at Blue Shutters was so delicious, don’t oversleep & miss it!
