• Patricia (10/5): Absolutely fabulous!!! - This was our 5th stay at Vergelle going back to 2004! It is very clean and comfortable with everything you need. The peace and tranquility make you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but in reality you are a few minutes from Torrenieri with some good restaurants and grocery shopping. You will need a car and be aware that the 1.8 km road is a bit of a challenge the first time you drive it but you get used to it quickly. Vergelle is within one hour from many the lovely Tuscan towns such as Siena, San Quirico, Buonconvento, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Monteriggioni, Monticchiello and the famous winding road at La Foce. But what keeps us going back are the people! The agriturismo is run by Angelo and Maurizio who have always been so kind to us. This time, we met Samuele who was so helpful and speaks very good English was was a bonus. Elisa and her mother look after the restaurant which is quite good. You MUST have their crema catalana. It arrives at the table in flames and is the best I've ever had. We also enjoy the many dogs that greet you when you arrive. We have met several different ones over the years and all have been very friendly. Also, a stay at Vergelle wouldn't be complete without buying the pecorino cheese that they make on site. Samuele can arrange a tasting so you can try before you buy. There is free parking on site and also no charge for the stunning views and sunsets!

• Andrea Calò (10/5): - Il luogo in cui sorge la struttura è immerso nella natura. Si gode di pace e tranquillità, ma una menzione particolare va alla posizione, che consente di ammirare meravigliosi tramonti sulle Crete senesi. Lo staff è accogliente ed è sempre stato disponibile. Appartamento trovato pulitissimo e fornito di tutto ciò che occorre. Il ristorante adiacente alla struttura offre prodotti locali cucinati e preparati in maniera eccellente. Ci torneremo sicuramente dovessimo ricapitare da queste parti. Forse avrei messo un condizionatore portatile più grande in modo da rinfrescare anche la camera da letto. Anche se la notte, con le finestre aperte, riuscivamo a far circolare aria fresca. Non è stato un problema riposare.

• Bermudaal (10/5): We liked it. - Friendly staff - everyone was very friendly and helpful. Onsite restaurant run by family. VERY Helpful when our rental car broke down. Let us stay an extra night and gave us a ride to the nearest train station when the rental car company abandoned us.

• Deborah (7/5): Bad start that got better. - This was a beautiful location but it is remote. There was some confusion regarding the availability of the restaurant, particularly for breakfast. The nearest market was not within walking distance and the apartment had no coffee at all even though there was a stove top espresso maker. There was a dishwasher but no dishwasher soap. We ended up not preparing any food at all and we’re finally able to arrange to have two breakfasts and a delicious dinner at the restaurant. We were the only guests for the four nights we stayed. Samuel did give us a tour of the cheese making facility adjacent to the farm(extra cost), which we enjoyed. We appreciated the fan in the room and appreciated having our laundry done during our stay. Even though there were screens on the windows, the apartment was filled with flies on our arrival. We requested some kind of spray or other means of dealing with them. We were finally provided with a fly swatter and ended up killing probably at least two dozen flies and seemed to eliminate the problem. Determined that they might have been coming in through a gap around one screen. But between the lack of access to the restaurant for breakfast and the flies, it was not a great start to our stay in Tuscany.
• Grace (10/5): After a very hectic city tours of Rome,Florence, Venice and Cinque Terre it was a wonderful relief and some peace and qu - The views and the sunsets where beautiful. The staff where kind and so helpful. The restaurant on the property was so nice to have at walking distance. The food was very good . The continental breakfast was abundant and Elis made us fried eggs and omelets upon request. I have no comment as everything was lovely.

The pool was fantastic and very welcome in the heat. The restaurant was absolutely incredible. It served breakfast and evening meals and is a real gem in Vergelle.
