Guest Reviews
- Rafael (9/5): - Beautiful natural gardens and farmland with lovely owners
- Sean (10/5): - A nice area on a beautiful farm. Quiet and relaxing with beautiful scenery.
- Trey-carlos (9/5): - Very good hotel, lovely location and host Nothing it was perfect
- Larsen (8/5): -
- Julien (10/5): -
- Sean (10/5): Cozy countryside stay - I liked the area, very beautiful farm with a lot of scenery, some local convenience stores nearby and the ceiling fans and split a/c was very nice. The owners are very nice and humble. A little confusing at initial time to show up and check-in/ getting the room key, but that was more likely just my own misunderstanding. Very kind and accomadating.
- Paul (10/5): Great place to stay - If you like nice and quiet place away from loud city noises this is the place. The staff are friendly. The gardens are well kept and the lake behind the room we had was nice Signs on road inside farm to get to lobby are a little bit confusing (especially if you check in after 6pm), but once you understand the layout there is no issue.
- Pimrapat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heico (9/5): Comfortable stay in the outer outback - Hosts and staff are friendly and open for individual arrangements. The compound has small fields for cosmos flowers and sunflowers. There are about 7 midsized dogs on the compound, mostly saved from abandonment. They are usually quiet and not stressful, perhaps curious. At least one cat stays there too.
Room service is especially meticulous, my room was kept very tidy, I had a fresh towel each day and fresh bedsheets maybe also each day.
I had the “big suite with rice field view (upper floor)”, regular price 1400 THB. With its couch and couch table, it feels more like a living room with a bed in one corner, and thanks to three windows on three sides it has fantastic views across the rice fields (mostly dry in January 2025/2568). It has small lights and electric plugs next to the bed, a very small desk, a slim cabinet, a clean white tiled floor, two different kinds of curtains and a slim balcony with wooden chairs and table. Electricity stays on while you go out. I think officially these rooms have no Wi-Fi, but sometimes you catch a weak signal from the lobby.
Above this room there is a delightful rooftop terrace with great views into sunrise and sunset and very comfortable chairs and sunbeds. When the room on the ground floor had visitors, I didn't hear any sound from them. These 2 rooms have parking right in front of the building.
Hot shower worked well enough, the comfortable bathroom is mid-sized with some natural daylight, but I don't think you can close or open the window to your liking. You can turn on the bathroom fan with its own switch. Around the sink there is good space to spread all your things, but no electric plug.
About 1 km via dirt road straight west there are two decent mini markets; it's about 3 km to the next real village Na Charoen with coffee shop, noodle stalls and a small morning and afternoon market. I don't think they rent bicycles, but maybe they should because of all the lovely rice fields and rural roads nearby. At 14.92132 105.01569 there is a lotus pond especially full of flowers (about 5 easy to cycle kilometers from OK Farm; seen January 2025/2568)
Just east of Det Udom begin the lovely wobbly dirt tracks near the South side of (Lam) Dom Yai River (remaining invisible) with amazingly lush nature by Isaan standards, unexpected water bodies, lotus lakes and bucolic buffalo pastures, starting roughly 16 km far from OK Farm, to be found on Open Street Maps based apps and on Google Maps. The north side has simple hidden riverside restaurants.
Det Udom downtown has limited appeal, except for the lovely market, good to visit around 7:00 a.m. with a feast for eyes and taste buds. Sadly no freshly brewed coffee there, only Nescafé in a remote dark aisle (at least you can sit down there, also with food from other stalls); khanom krok is available on the outer south-east street corner. The market is also one of the few places in small town Isaan where you get the better Thai oranges for 50 to 70 Baht per kilo, instead of the much more widespread, yet forgettable 35 Baht jobs.
One Det Udom restaurant with live music that even exists in real life and not only on Google Maps is “ส.เครื่องดื่ม” next to the highway (better to sit more inside); it's rustic atmospheric with exceptionally polite service, with the Carabao songs for life interpreted by an underwhelming violin-guitar duo. There's also Night Bar (not on Google Maps in January 2025/2568) with a music stage. Other Det Udom live music restaurants featured on Google Maps seemed to be dead when I visited on a Saturday evening.

- John (9/5): A little Gem of a place in the heart of the countryside. - This is a very nice place to stay. Lovely to walk around the resort, many plants of various varieties, flowers and even mushrooms. Old wooden Thai houses in the distance, great to view from the "lookout tower" which is available to guests. Be careful walking up and down the steep steps. Good value for money. Good cooking and friendly family. We took lots of wonderful pictures. The bed was a little hard and I would have liked another pillow. Not much else to complain about.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Very good clean room
Very nice country farm
Loads of beautiful fruit trees
Very friendly owner and staff Liked everything
- Patrick (10/5): Had a very relaxing and pleasant stay at the resort - peaceful and relaxing
- Richard (10/5): Peaceful hideaway - The room is top quality, lots of really nice areas to sit dotted around the farm, peaceful hideaway from the rest of the world, local shop 2 minutes away, found a nice local restaurant close by, very nice, pleasant staff. Leaving
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice Paradies to come down, relax and enjoy real the Thailand! Great stuff, always friendly and happy. Thanks for the good time!
See you again
- Cory (10/5): Great owners, western standards, super clean, and relaxing beautiful atmosphere!!!! - Western standards!!! Super clean, great prices, and relaxing atmosphere!!! You will love this place. I have stayed here three times visiting my in laws. Each time I try a different room. The island house is a really cool romantic room. My favorite is the two tiny houses with balcony on the water.
- Carney (10/5): OK Farm should be called Very Good Farm! - Beautiful scenery, great rooms, great price! Friendly staff who even gave us a basket of dragon fruit freshly picked!
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, they welcomed me and my two Border Collie dogs. It was too hot, so we spent a lot of time in the house, only going out 5.30 in the morning and late afternoon, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly, we plan to go back again in November or December. I would recommend OK Farm Resort to everyone. To hot but not there fault
- Philip (8/5): Unusual property that fitted in with our tour of lsaan. - Tranquil location. Bit remote but knew that when l booked it.
- Clare (7/5): Good -
- H. (9/5): Very relaxing. - A very beautiful place to stay. A nice garden , a oase in the landscape. Nice people who run the resort. Everything was perfect.
- Amrchairbenko (9/5): Beautiful property with rooms to match - easily the best in the area! - Beautiful property - if this is the area you are looking to stay it, I highly doubt you will find better accommodation. The room itself was large and clean, with everything that was needed. The property itself is also absolutely stunning. As with all hotels in Thailand the bed was a little hard for my liking... but again, this is everywhere in Thailand and the bed here wasn't as hard as others I have slept in!
