Guest Reviews
- PATRICE (10/5): Rien à dire tout était très bien - Ras
- Gilly (10/5): A great place to stay! - We were very well looked after: parking on site, warm welcome, charming room - large, comfortable and beautifully decorated - really good breakfast in a beautiful dining room.
Most of all was the charm, warmth and helpfulness of our host. We hope to return.
- Alexandrina (10/5): Nice and clean - It was a very clean and beautiful room! The hosts are very, very nice! We had a very good time here
- Kee (10/5): Exceptional - Just a good location between to bridges with easy access to town centre. Pleasant owner and very friendly Narrow check in time between 5 to 8pm.
- Phillip (10/5): Perfect! - Everything Nothing
- Owen (5/5): Disappointing….. - Easy walk into main town Tired, out dated, building in need of TLC and.renovation. On a main road with traffic noise day and night…
- Justin (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - Great character, lovely rooms and charming location Just across the river to the heart of Tours. Nothing
- Dave (9/5): Most enjoyable - The location was great! Close to the centre of the city. The room was gorgeous, overlooking the Loire and really high eilings. Classic
- Roger (9/5): Superb -
- Brett (9/5): Close and Convenient for Tours - Fantastic Location just across the bridge from the centre of Tours, an easy walk or very close to the tram. Having a secure place to leave the car was a bonus. Room and facilities were very clean
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Lynne (4/5): Not recommended - On site parking. Charged €5 for parking. No breakfast as it was a Sunday. Could not check in until 5pm. Kettle in room but no cups. Put bath plug in but couldn't get it out to empty the bath. Rather dark room. Noisy.
- Peter (7/5): Just a short stay, hopefully will return to explore the city fully. - The hotel has kept its traditional French authenticity.
- Michael (10/5): Lovely stay in Tours - Beautiful traditional building, big rooms with high ceilings and traditional furniture.
Great location for old town and Cathedral.
Private parking, friendly host who was very helpful
Lovely breakfast. Good value for money. All was good
- Paul (8/5): Excellent place. Lovely staff. - Location and breakfast excellent Nothing.
- Justin (10/5): Characterful house overlooking the Loire river. - Beautiful character house, great location and views of the river. Very comfortable bed and good shower. Excellent breakfast. On a busy road but when window shut didn’t notic the traffic.
- Mateusz (9/5): Welcoming antique house - Wonderful old family home with lots of great decor and antiques, both in the public areas and in the rooms. The owner was very helpful and enthusiastic, truly making you welcome at her home. The room was very big with comfortable bed. There were some shortcomings in the bathroom (shower door a bit broken, no shampoo). The location is slightly far, about 20-25 minutes walk away from the old town.
- Terence (8/5): Very good -
- Smith (4/5): From the photo's I had bigger expectations. The house is rather cluttered. - The staff were great and the breakfast was excellent. The house is on a very busy and noisy road and we got no sleep. Also a very hot evening and they didn't explain or tell us that there was aircon.
- Sigrid (8/5): Very good -
- Debbey (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Historic house, great location, very welcoming host - Due to car problems we only stayed one night instead of two. Which was a great shame as the hotel is a lovely French house with period features. Great location, over the river from the centre of Tours but easy walk to restaurants, etc. Beach bar within 100 metres! The host was brilliant, very welcoming and sympathetic in regard to our travel difficulties.
- Jan (7/5): delightful host but you need to speak French - the position, overlooking the river and park unfortunately whilst the linen was spotless, the blankets and spare blankets were badly stained
- Shannon (5/5): Not our style. - Breakfast was ok. Loud road noise at location. Shower head was plastic and cracked. Location has no cafes or places to eat nearby. Interior was cluttered.
- Laetitia (10/5): the perfect location to enjoy the city center and Tours surroundings - a very kind and attentive host.
beautiful rooms, nicely decorated and comfortable
ideally located from the city center, just a 20min walk away (and such a beautiful walk).
- Michael (9/5): Superb - The location was excellent, on the 'quiet' side of the Loire and a 10 minute walk over the bridge to the centre of Tours. The nighhlife on the river banks was great fun. The breakfast was fantastic and tea and coffee were available in the breakfast room throughout the day The room overlooked a busy road but the inside double glazing worked very well, so we were not disturbed
- Judith (8/5): Comfortable and pleasant place in a nice location. - Breakfast was good but no alternatives for those of us with “issues”. Nice coffee though! Easy walk into town. Free parking across a busy road which was not clear when I booked it.
- Briana (10/5): Exceptional - This place was stunning! The decor and general feel made you feel right at home. The best bit...the giant bathtub!! I never wanted to leave
- Christine (8/5): Perfect for a break in Tours - Madame was charming and welcoming and made us feel very much at home.
- Jayne (9/5): lovely room and lovely host - beautiful French decor proximity to busy road
- Stefania (6/5): Pleasant - Great location at 15 minutes walking distance
from the city center where you can find bar/restaurants.
The room and bathroom are big. At the arrival we don’t have received the code wifi
and there wasn’t written indications anywhere. The
day after we have received the info.
- John (7/5): Good -
- Rene (6/5): Pleasant - 1. Nice view on the river Loire.
2. Nice decorated rooms.
3. Short walk to Tours. 1. The hotel is situated adjacent to a busy road (although the view on the river is great).
Leaving the doors open, makes a short night.
2. The sink was not working.
3. The hotel has a mobile airconditioning. This is not that good as a fixed one.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb - Breakfast great, location super, room decor idiosyncratic and attractive. Staff lovely.
- Wardy67 (10/5): Heavenly place to stay - Everything! This is like staying in a chateau. The building and everything in it makes you feel so happy. Bathroom is fabulous and the bedroom was magical. Great views, parking in the courtyard and just a stroll from the old town. Perfect. Owners are wonderful too. Nothing.
