Guest Reviews
- Phil (8/5): A very attractive hotel with great value for money - The location was perfect
A tranquil environment N/A
- Paula Jane (5/5): Great location, budget friendly, no frills accommodation - Very central with a nice view of the prom. The room was mostly clean and spacious. The shower was amazing! It was a massive shower cubicle with brilliant water pressure that had good temperature for both hot and cold. Probably the best shower I’ve ever had in the many places we’ve stayed. Is this a luxurious hotel? no, is it worth the money yes. There was an awful smell when we arrived in the lift and on the landing of our room, smelled like stink bombs. We thought it maybe was a baby that was in the lift initially but then when we went out later it was even worse on the landing. It did disappear by the time we came back. The curtains and windows were stained.
- Geraint (8/5): -
- Hilary (8/5): - It was a nice clean friendly hotel The restaurant was out of service
- Jeanette (10/5): - The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. In the morning, the staff are brilliant. The breakfast was great. Nothing negative to say 5 stars 🌟
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Boyle (5/5): -
- John (6/5): Slightly disappointing as paid slightly more than normal and without breakfast too - Location was good Room was big but dated and sparse
- terry (8/5): Very welcoming and a great location - The staff are very friendly and welcoming and you do get the feeling that they really care about your stay even though they are very busy. The breakfast was very nice and I like the fact you can just help yourself and have as much or as little as you like. The room and bathroom was very clean and the location was excellent. There is a lift to get you to your floor which I am sure is a bonus for those with mobility issues and those who have tired legs after a long day. The shower was over the bath and it was difficult to regulate the temperature. Also the shower head kept lowering as the knob to tighten it was broken. I would much prefer a walk in shower and if you are going to have the shower over the bath you really need to provide bath mats as it can be slippery when trying to get out. The only other negative was that the TV was tiny, but I do appreciate that you don't go on vacation to watch TV.
- Robert (8/5): -
- barbara (7/5): A lovely hotel and restaurant put the bedroom is tired - It was very central and convenient to every thing The room was small and crammed . You walked into the bed when you went to the bathroom or the window .
- Michael (5/5): - Location. Handy for town centre and local amenities. Lift too small.
- Steven (6/5): Amazing location and lovely friendly staff - How helpful the staff were when we had an issue they were polite and extremely professional Thin ceilings we could here people above arguing which resulted in us changing rooms due to the help of the staff who were extremely accommodating
- Bradder (10/5): Very comfortable. Room was very clean. Facility’s excellent - Very clean. Great food.
- Debbie (10/5): -

- Karen (9/5): Fabulous location and ideal for us - Beautiful building … a little faded in places and the shower head could do with being replaced 100% but the staff were incredible and the position was absolutely perfect for me. Shower head was black with thick mould.
- Alan (9/5): Great hotel in a superb position - Very good position with great sea views. Warm and comfortable room. Excellent night's sleep Nothing we didn't like
- bernadette (8/5): -
- Cath (7/5): Lovely quaint hotel. Staff doing their best. - Lovely ladies at the front desk accommodating all the family. Nice views from the hotel. All was good
- Jones (7/5): Planing of going back with my extended Family 🙂 - Ok i went to Witherspoons. Why not.
It's perhaps the bigest on this island, definetly the Bigest in Wales.
- Gail (9/5): Great hotel. - Everything Nothing

- Jambhale (10/5): -
- Guest (4/5): -
- Ann (10/5): Loved it there will definitely call back - Location and it had lifts room nice and clean Every thing the only negative was you need to look at the toasters for breakfast 1 was not working and the others need updating
- Sarah (10/5): Great location, helpful staff - Excellent location right on the sea front, well presented, very clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. The evening meal was delicious and so was the breakfast - we requested vegan meals and the staff were very accommodating and the food was really good. Parking was very easy, and free, on nearby roads. Would definitely return, highly recommend!
- Charles (8/5): -
- Costanza (8/5): - La posizione è perfetta per girare la città. Di fronte al mare e vicino a tutti i vari e ristoranti della città. 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione. La stanza era un pò datata.
- Fahad (8/5): -
- toe (10/5): - The staff were very welcoming and friendly lovely room. Nothing I've booked again
- Pui Yu (10/5): - A clean, spacious room, and great value for money with breakfast included.
- Scott Jeffries (7/5): Not as advertised. - Location, sea view, breakfast and half price drinks at the bar were all great. Room 107 was not as advertised. It was much smaller, a tiny bathroom with the sink in the bedroom.
The curtains need to be blackout as there is a street light directly outside which shines very brightly all night.
- garry (10/5): - love the hotel, stayed many times, could not have one bad thing to say about it
- Louise (7/5): Conformable, good value and very welcoming - Clean hotel excellent staff very helpful. The radiator in room didn't work but it was resolved with two portable ones
- Hilda (8/5): -
- Paul (8/5): Very nice stay - Location, carvery, clean room. Tiny TV
- Dave (9/5): - Excellent stay, nice touch happy hour, Room ok,slept ,well breakfast very nice thanks
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Evans (9/5): -
- Paththamperuma (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and food is good None
- Debbie (4/5): Very disappointed heard other people wanting to change rooms and they had know double rooms left - The beds where uncomfortable the room was dirty . The wall where painted over where paint had peeled off and mould
- Barbara (10/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): - Clean, comfortable beds and pillows and soft towels and close to all amenities. The TV was about the size of my laptop and the sound was distorted.
The bedroom doors closed on there own as you leave so a lot of banging doors as people don't know what door handles are
- Joanne (10/5): -
- Franca (9/5): Overall excellent - Excellent breakfast choice, room very clean, staff very friendly, coffee facility in room Excellent, great Seaview. Would highly recommend. Just curtains in room weren't smooth to close and had come of ring on one side.
- Marie (10/5): Absolutely Delightful - Everything from the customer service, how clean my room was, the wee toiletries left in the room and the wee biscuits left next to the tea and coffee facilities.
The staff are very welcoming.
The food is also very good.
The Baytree Hotel is a favourite of mine xxx Nothing
- leon (8/5): -
- David Maybury (6/5): Need to cater for All - Not a lot really. Not very friendly for people with mobility problems, my room was on the first floor there was a lift but when I got out I had to go down a flight of stairs to the room 😞 initially I walked up the ramp but it was closed off.
- Deborah (10/5): -
- Kate (10/5): We will definitely be back! - The location is perfect for us. Right near the pier and restaurants and shops. Great sea view room and comfortable beds and bedding. We enjoyed everything about the stay.
- DIANE (7/5): Great location - The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean great location facing the beach the room had a lovely sea view. The breakfast was very good. I went with my Sister and our rooms were so different even though we had paid the same. My room was alot smaller, the bathroom was smaller and the bed was very uncomfortable ,noisy and squeaked. Also the TV was less than half the size of the one in my Sisters room
- Tim (8/5): - Warm clean snd very inviting Stay was perfect
- Pat (8/5): Lovely hotel, fantastic location - Helpful staff, fantastic location right opposite the sea front, good size room for a single, great shower very strong, lovely little bottles of shampoo and conditioner supplied, plenty of tea bags etc., room serviced daily. The only reason not top marks is that the bathroom window in my room didn't shut properly and the wind was whistling loudly through it all night. It's fine when it's not windy but on my last night it was blowing a gale and the noise kept waking me up.
- Julie (8/5): As above - Staff were very helpful, nothing was to much trouble to me and other guests.beds very comfortable.great value.excellent value.very good
- McIver (8/5): Had a nice stay - Location was excellent, the sea view was perfect, The room was tiny, tv was in the corner by the window so difficult to see from bed,
- Amanda (10/5): Loved it , will definitely being staying here again - Everything, staff amazing, breakfast amazing, the hotel is in a great spot, would highly recommend There’s nothing I didn’t like
- Robert Alan (9/5): Excellent location, value for money. - This hotel represents excellent value for money, location spot on next to pier, clean, comfortable, fantastic breakfast, great night's sleep.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Adam (10/5): Relaxed, welcoming and friendly - Clean, polite friendly staff. Decent size room and exceptional value with a breakfast included
- Evans (9/5): Ev - The breakfast was gorgeous. The dinning room was very spacious plenty of room for everyone. Disabled slope
- Helen (8/5): -
- Jenni (4/5): Good location, room clean but small and rather shabby. - Room was clean, staff member was polite (but evasive) Room was clean but quite shabby - several maintenance issues (toilet dipped forward when sat on (!), one wall light not attached, one chair and bathroom bin chipped etc).
Requested a bay window - had a message from booking.com saying request could be accommodated, but then hotel said it couldn't be guaranteed. We did have a sea view, but no bay window - room was quite small and cramped.
- Martin (8/5): - Good
- carol (10/5): Fabulous stay in a fabulous hotel. - Hotel location was excellent. Close access to the town and the seafront.
Hotel was very clean, room was more then adequate. Tea and coffee available in room. Complimentary toiletries provided were a lovely touch.
Excellent Breakfast included.very impressive.
Would like to mention hosts Derek and Esther, making our visit most pleasurable . Their hospitality was second to none.
- Rea (7/5): -
- David (8/5): - Location great Nothing
- Cooper (9/5): Lovely weekend away for birthday - We had a double sea view room on second floor, lift to floor was welcomed after all the walking we did!. Lovely, clean room, and a very comfy bed... plenty tea, coffee etc. Had a bath and shower. Shampoo and conditioner supplied. Close to pier, bars, restaurants and shops. Parking outside available £5.40 for the day, then free from 4pm till 10am next day. Only a couple negatives... there was no soap or shower gel and one of the towels had marks on (make up stain?) And we could have asked, but we just went and brought some...
- Samantha (8/5): - Location. Nice staff Check out 10 not 11 too much rush
- norman (8/5): - Fantastic location, basic room,clean,good breakfast
- Janette (10/5): - I went to visit my husbands bench on the pier and it was a few feet away I couldn't turn the heating off
- Jackie (8/5): A superb weekend break, an ideal location and would definitely stay there again.!!! - We had a lovely clean room with a comfortable bed . The Breakfast was superb 10/10 well done to the Chef 👨🍳 👏🏻 The shower wasn’t up to much and kept going cold, but it didn’t spoil our stay 😊
- Alison (9/5): -
- Jones (10/5): Accommodating and pleasant stay! - I had a late check in and Derek very kindly agreed to this. I felt sorry for having to disrupt his sleep to let me in, and it is much appreciated. Friendly staff, very accommodating, and room was warm and comfortable. I would like a sea view on next time!
- Michelle (8/5): Lots of positives food excellent , clean but the front door very noisy banging shut all day and evening 😖 - Excellent location, clean buffet breakfast superb Our room had a perfect sea view but it was under the front door which was constantly banging 😖
- phil (8/5): -
- Lee (4/5): - The breakfasts were very nice Very noisy above and below.
Radiators separately need bleeding
- John (10/5): - Friendly, good price. Good carvery
- Anna (7/5): On the whole we all enjoyed our stay and would stay again - The location was excellent as the room myself and my cousin were in had a superb view of the Llandudno. My Dad's room was at the back of the hotel so his was not as nice. The lounge downstairs was very comfortable. We would like to say your Night watchman was brilliant. Introduced himself and very amenable. Hand soap on the bathroom sink. Cheaper breakfast cost. When I booked I thought breakfast was included but it was not. Teabags etc in room to be more stocked up. There should have been some heating on when we arrived to the room as it is October and was chilly but eventually figured out how to put the heating on and it was warm but like I say should have already been on
- Helen (8/5): Great location, fab view and lovely hotel - Location was excellent! Very central, close ro the Pier but also handy for some of the lovely restaurants! And close to the Orme and tram! The breakfast was buffet style and provided everything we wanted! Really enjoyed it and you could help yourself to as much as you wanted! The room was very comfy albeit a little small either way a lovely view across the bay and promenade! Great value for money! The room was a little small but it was fine for our stay with a great view! The breakfastvwas delicious but my only criticism was the fried eggs that were pre-cooked sometimes bevame overcooked on the hot plate- might be better to have fewer at a time and keep refreshing them- other than that it was a perfect breakfast.
- Harman (1/5): Don’t book this hotel . Worst hotel room and facilities ever. - Nothing Nothing
- Russell (1/5): - Bed was uncomfortable and small. Shower was tiny. Could hardly move in bathroom. Couldn't check in till 4pm.
- Leinad (8/5): - Location, excellent staff & clean Room could have been better
- Scott (10/5): Will come again - Excellent friendly staff, lovely bar and restaurant and central to everything
- engjellush (10/5): -
- Yvonne (7/5): - The beds were comfortable and clean. The location was very good. Rooms clean. No complaints, we got what we expected.
- Toni (5/5): Would go to the area but not the hotel sorry !!! - Loved the location right on the front & near to the shopping centre. The room could do with updating. The bathroom is tiny with a very small bath & a noisy fan sounded like a loud generator. The bed was awful looked like it was made from wooden pallets so uncomfortable. The lift was tiny too a large case & one person & it’s full. On the plus side a lot of tea coffee milk etc & breakfast was nice. We couldn’t really comment on the staff as we only saw two people. Shame as it’s in a brilliant area.
- Joan (10/5): Great stay, would defiantly stay again - We arrived to early to check in so sat in bar area with window view and ordered food. Very nice!
When we did check in was given a room which was not what I booked so spoke to them, showing what I had booked this was promptly rectified.
Our room was double, bay window, with two chairs ideal for my mum. The bed was extremely comfy, shower was very powerful.the room was clean and stocked up. (Perfect)
Breakfast was excellent! Had choice of cereal, cooked breakfast.
We did have the Sunday Carvery which was delicious.
Hats off to the chiefs!
Was lucky to get parking space over the road after 2 trips round block.which then stayed there till leaving.
The staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful! They go above and beyond to help. Wheelchair ramp would of been ideal, however for us personally we did manage mum was able to do few steps. I then brought chair up.
- Simon (8/5): All fine and would stay again - Nice all rounder - got all the basics right eg nice bed, good shower, TV worked and wi-fi OK. .
- PRIYATOSH (7/5): - Location of the hotel. Got a room where there was a single window with a view of walls.
- Kenneth Waplington (8/5): Pleasant - Clean Nothing
- Nadine (6/5): Nice little place close to local amenities - Friendly staff, close proximity to pier, easy walking distance to main shops. Meal times were a bit restrictive, had to ask for a fan as I found the room too warm - but this is just a personal opinion.
- Francis Dubique (10/5): A different stay - The staff were brilliant and the breakfast was spot on Unfortunately they had a leak in the heavy downpour and had to turn off the water which was a minor inconvenience
But it wasn't a problem
- susan (7/5): -
- DMA (8/5): top stay in every way seriously well behaved staff. - Great location. Really good value for money. Staff were friendly and reasonable. Not nosey at all which can happen in Hotels ! Had some trouble finding concierge at times bit still nothing to complain about. It was all good. Seriously could not complain.
- Diane (7/5): Good. We would return again - Good location, reasonable price, nice staff TV was not receiving signal well and was a little wobbly!
- joan (5/5): -
- Steven (10/5): - Always stay at this hotel lovely little hotel.excellent staff and really clean .😁😁
- emma-jane (9/5): Would recommend - Paul was very helpful when we were late by a whole day arriving. An issue we had with the radiator he resolved in minutes. The breakfast choices and variety was excellent and waiting staff were also were helpful. Room could have been slightly larger but was fine for the trip we made.
