Guest Reviews
- Karim (9/5): Highly recommend loft-style apartment - Beautiful old palace, apartment loft-style and quite big, good heating - great location.
- Mirella (10/5): A perfect stay - Perfect location. Beautiful premises. Right in the heart of the old town
- Danielle (8/5): Very good -
- Parker-perry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saara (10/5): Exceptional - Clean big apartement, central location, quiet.
All functioned well. We could check in and out a little earlier. Good taxi ordered from the apartement hotel. Beautiful rooms. Beds ok, but a little hard.
- Heidi (9/5): Perfect location for exploring Naples , close to port and trains . - The rooms were very modern and comfortable , yet we were in the historic part of the city . It was a nice mix of old and new . Everything was good
- Shane (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (8/5): Elegant simplicity at this Palazzo apartment hotel - Location excellent for exploring historic centre of Naples. Quirky setting in faded glory of an old palazzo. Rooms first rate, up steep stone steps (unsuitable for elderly or infirm) but great for our needs. Spotless interiors, comfortable bed on mezzanine of high ceilinged rooms, great AC, small bathroom with great shower, kitchenette with enough facilities to make guests feel right at home. Nothing, it’s elegantly simple, no frills so bear that in mind when booking.
Note that because this part of Naples has narrow streets guests will have to walk up to 100 metres with cases to locate the Palazzo.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- George (10/5): Lovely apartment in a convenient location. - Spacious apartment in an excellent location. Within walking distance of all the major attractions. Genaro, our host, was superb. He was present on time to hand over the keys and was always available to assist. His response was immediate. A great host! Nothing.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Super clean and new, super central, and extremely helpful staff. It was perfect for us and we will be back.
- Marco (8/5): Fantastic Hotel Apartments in the true hearth of Napoli (Spaccanapoli) - Nice hotel apartments offer an excellent quality-price ratio. The rooms are large and well-equipped, and FFE is new. You can either dine in and use the kitchen facilities on the first floor of the room or experience the wide selection of restaurants within the neighbourhood within walking distance.
The staff is kind and helpful. Housekeeping is also very attentive, and the rooms are cleaned impeccably every day. Rooms have large ceilings, which is very positive, and they have created a mezzanine floor where the bed and bathroom are located.
I would have also preferred to have a bathroom on the main floor where the kitchen is located rather than going upstairs anytime I needed it.
- Effie (10/5): Excellent Location and and wonderful owners - The owner welcomed us warmly and also assisted us in purchasing football tickets for the Sunday game ... His wife spoke very good English and sorted out public parking nearby for our car. The property was centrally located with many restaurants nearby. The staircase was rather steep and the towels were not changed daily, given the hot weather and having 2 showers per day. Other properties did change towels daily.
- Sylvia (10/5): A hugely authentic stay in Naples - would stay here again. - The location was superb, close to restaurants, historic spots and vibrant streets but quiet with the shutters closed at night. We arrived late and the staff waited for us to check in and were hugely helpful. A little carton of milk for tea in the morning would be great.
- Jane (9/5): Superb - Great place
- James (9/5): A good base in easy walking distance of city center attractions - The position in a narrow street in the historic centre was wonderful.
The room was clean and quiet and an excellent base. Just as described and shown in photographs.
- Scott (9/5): Superb - Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Great location with heaps of restaurants and shopping options. The cobble stone roads. A blewout a suitcase wheel. Hey but that's travelling.
- Shradha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vanita (8/5): Great stay, polite and friendly staff. Good location. - Location Needed a good dust.
- Karl (9/5): Superb - big space, nice kitchenette, great location. room cleaning service was excellent paper towels or napkins for the kitchen would be appreciated. and a rack for drying dishes and plates.
- Gary (7/5): Good -
- Liene (5/5): Property more basic than the review summary. Not entirely met value for money expectations. - Welcoming staff member. Good, central location. Daily housekeeping. Although I do not know how this property compare to other in Naples, but I would have expected more refurbished (bed was terrible), better soundproofed apartment with coffee maker (instead of an instant coffee) and overall felt not in the line with value for money of what we got.
- Evan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (10/5): Great place to stay in the heart of it all. - A little hard to find, but it may have been the jet leg. Right in the heart of old Naples. The area looks a little rough, graffiti etc. but that’s Naples. Great pizza restaurants right around the corner. In the morning plenty of cafes and a 10 minute walk to the waterfront. Rooms were very quiet despite the hustle and bustle outside. Little hard to find. Maybe a bigger sign. No lifts, but the hotel will get your bags to your floor. The stairs helped me work off the pizza.
- Natalie (9/5): Superb - Walked passed it a few times as it’s a graffiti garage and not open area. Once found very easy to get in and out. Near everything but a bit of a walk from the train station. We got a taxi to the airport which reception was kind enough to book us! Overall would recommend!
- Tim (8/5): Felt like we’re were in the heart of the old town - Good location, clean, spacious
Andrea on reception very helpful 2nd floor no lift (4 flights of stairs)
Precarious stairs inside apartment
Low balcony rail on mezzanine
- Juana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pedram (9/5): Superb - Location was ood Too many stairs and no elevator. Bed was shaky too.
- Katherine (8/5): Great value for the price in the center of Naples! - The location was excellent, the apartment was very spacious and comfortable Since it’s located on the second floor, luggage needs to be carried down if checking out early, but they had a lift for luggage when we arrived.
- Jonny (8/5): Great spacious apartment in great location - The apartment is in a great location; right in the heart of the lanes and amongst the hustle and bustle. It was also quiet at night despite this, as it was set back from the street.
Apartment was quite large, with plenty of room and it was great to have a dining table and seating area. Would have been great to have an iron and ironing board. We requested one but it got taken away whilst we were out one day so they must only have the one!
Although the apartment is on the third floor, the staff take your bags up for you, which was great! The reception wasn’t open when we needed to check out at checkout time, which was a little surprising.
- Andrea (9/5): It was a great base for exploring Naples and surrounding area - Great location. Good layout for a family of 4 The late checkin fee of 30 euros after 8pm.
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Will (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Huge room, great location and great value for money. - V classy and relaxed. Staff very helpful. Right in the heart of the old city. Lovely care package which was appreciated. We didn’t know how to check out which meant we ended up keeping hold of our key all day.
- Gulnara (6/5): Nice hotel with nice garden! - It was nice stay. Maybe it would be good to include more fruits in the breakfast and no-pork options as well.
- Ruxandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ohados (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (10/5): Central location and quiet - V centrally located - a real buzz just outside but quiet inside. It is an old building so no lift and a lot of stairs - but there is a clever pulley to get your bags up and down so that helps a lot.
Our taxi driver refused to go to the hotel so we had to walk a couple of blocks. Taxis are allowed and indeed the hotel organised several for us - so maybe call hotel and get them to book a taxi to meet you or confirm with taxi before you get in that they will drop at door.
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional - Reception not open for long
- Robynne (9/5): Clean, tidy and spacious living area. - This property was in a good location, close to restaurants and some shops. It was clean and suited our needs for an overnight stay. The stairs to the loft are steep and may not be suitable for elderly people or those unsteady on their feet.
- Geanina (10/5): Exceptional - Location is great, right in the city center, 20 minutes walk to the ferry, 20 minutes walk to the central station. Every day cleaning, the reception lady was very nice and helpful by explaining to us what to see and how to reach certain places. -
- Catalina (8/5): The apartment is nice and clean, but the neighbourhood is dirty and smelly - The towels and sheets were very nice, the bath cosmetics smelled nice and the apartment was spacious. We were pleasantly surprise to find home slippers and cold water in the fridge. The AC and fridge were noisy. The neighbourhood is dirty and smells like pee. The buildings look like they are collapsing on you. Streets are paved with cobble stone and rolling luggage is a pain, so you have to carry it. Making sure we have a taxi for 5 people to leave early in the morning was also very stressful - when we checked options late on a Sunday, it seemed no taxi from an app would come to the address and we didn't see any taxi around to ask. Furthermore, the name of the accommodation is miss-leading, as we were counting on asking at the reception for help with a cab, but there is no reception. Sunday at 10:30 pm we decided to have a walk on the streets around to ask people in shops or restaurants what we can expect in terms of finding a cab the next morning. At the taxi station that was relatively close by, there was no taxi. In the end, the taxi problem worked a lot better than we expected - in our many efforts to find a solution to make sure we are on time for the plane and also not wake up in the middle of the night for it, we sent a message to a number we found online and a robot sent us a message that we have a taxi (we were unsure if it was real). In the morning a taxi driver called us shortly before the reservation time and he came to the door to pick us with the luggage. My last comment is related to eating out - you might consider choosing a place that has an umbrella or no apartments above, as we inadvertently ended up under the windows of somebody that took dripping clothes out to dry :)) We'll definitely remember for a long time our time in Naples 😅
- Dave (7/5): Good - Location Steps to property, but it had been flagged by other clients
- Elvis (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (10/5): Amazing trip to Naples with an amazing place to stay! - Very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff is amazing!!!
- Maddison (8/5): Very good -
- Roy (9/5): Good base for exploring the Amalfi coast - Very good location in the centre of the old town. Not too far to walk to meet the excursions we took. It was self catering but there were biscuits and spreads left for us as well as tea and coffee. The property has an enormous door covered in graffiti (as they all are in this neighbourhood). There was a bell to ring at the side.
- Ken (7/5): Comfortable in the centre of Napoli - Located in a very central and busy part of Napoli which is what we were looking for. Luggage was stored and taxi arranged for our departure which was 5 hours after checkout.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was spacious. Ease of access to the apartment.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (9/5): Luxury in the Heart of Naples - The room was large, clean and unique. Nice living area with a kitchen and sitting area. Sleeping area and bathroom are on a second floor loft area. Rooms and common areas have nice artistic touches. Front desk staff very helpful with suggestions of where to visit in Naples and helped us with a 4 a.m. taxi for an early flight. We had some difficulty finding the place. It's on a narrow side street with a very small door. Friendly front desk staff stayed on the phone and walked us to the entrance.
- Christina (8/5): Worth the money. - Big bedroom, excellent air conditioning, great bathroom. The location was right in the center. Right out the door were tons of restaurants and it was easy to get a taxi! There was nobody around during our checkout at 10:30am. They have a pulley system for bringing up the bags and we had to figure out how to use it ourselves. The suites are on the “second” floor but there are actually 4 full staircases to get up to the suite.
- David (9/5): Friendly welcome by our host. Fantastic location in the historic part of town. - Brilliant location in the historic part of town.
- Kalpesh (10/5): Excellent property in a great location. Lucrezzia in reception was very helpful. - The location was perfect and the apartment was a good size and clean.
- Igor (8/5): Very good -
- Suzie (3/5): Never again, not what the photos suggest! - Renovated apartments? Sure, renovated 10 years ago maybe! Average at best, photos aren’t accurate. From the minute we contacted re check in it was all down from there. We contacted ahead of time to ask about parking only to be told “we are full” - absolutely gutted given the main reason we booked this place was due to parking.
Reception was no different not very helpful and couldn’t advise us if we we’d parked our car was safe or not.
Once we got to the room it was no different, average at best. The photos look a lot nicer than it really is. Once we took a shower however we were absolutely disgusted to see black hair still in the bathroom and stuck to the shower walls (we are both blonde).
Location wise it wouldn’t be for us in the future. We would like to stay closer to the water end of town if at all.
- Pieter (8/5): Very good - Its a large property. The bathroom was in good condition.
The entrance / hallway was nicely decorated. The sofa had various stains. Did not look attractive and did not sit on it.
The bedding, bed sheets and pillows was ok but can be improved.. the pillows seemed to be ready for a good deep clean.
- Scott (10/5): Great accommodation in central location - The reception was very friendly and helpful and gave us some very good tips on restaurants and things to see Having the reception open only when someone is checking in does make it difficult if you arrive at a slightly different time than planned which can happen easily. We had to wait in the street when we first arrived. We messaged the reception and she arrived within 5 minutes so no problems. But maybe a tip for others in the future to keep updating the hotel with your revised arrival time.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - This is a fabulous place to stay, the building is old and has such atmosphere and the room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a tiny balcony overlooking a tiny street from which you can listen to the sounds of Naples buzzing around you. We loved this place and would definitely return. The hosts were so helpful. The location is amazing, very central. Naples is a wonderful, vibrant, noisy, messy, graffitied, uplifting place - the people are amazing, so hospitable, the food is incredible and reasonably priced, and the city just oozes history from every wall in every street. Loved it.
- Petra (9/5): It was fine - We like the building a simplicity of place. Also how quiet there was despite being on the central location The mattress was really soft - the cheap way. It was hard to even get out the bed. One night we slept on the floor instead off back. The pillows on the other side were too hard.
- Deirdre (10/5): Gem in the centre of Naples - Everything, great location, cool building, good price, good staff. Coffee and snacks along with water provided. Nothing really, 2 flights of steps and may have to bring luggage down stairs, found it fine though. A gem!
- Herbol (10/5): Naples visit - This apartment is in the historic district of Naples. Lots of graffiti and might even look a bit sketchy to some, but once through the giant door and up the stairs, you enter a beautiful little apartment. Stocked kitchen , cleaned every day . The apartment is in the historic district close to many sights, including the Archeology Museum of naples, which is fantastic . All the relics from Pompeii are there . If you're up for adventure and love ro roam around a city, stay here . It's an old building, so there no elevator and many steps. However, they helped both out luggage so I can't complain The main air-conditioning system seemed to be broken. They provided a portable one, so the apartment was cool it was just a little difficult to regulate the temp at night
- Rebecca (7/5): Nice stay in the heart of Naples - Super central location No windows nor ventilation in the toilet
- Johannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hiba (1/5): Bad - It's clean It's so old and you think it's cool but it's not. In the pics you see the whole thing but you will get just the room. It's not worth it
- Jean (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (7/5): Never going back to Bapkes. Graffiti everywhere and plenty of overflowing garbage cans. - Centrally located in historic district Arrived with a car service and hotel staff could not assist in guiding the driver to the hotel as it was in a restricted area. They had no one to send to where we were to assist with the luggage. Had to walk over 400 meters to get to the hotel.
- Matevž (10/5): A real palace in the heart of Naples - Perfect location, modern design, staff Steep stairs to the bedroom
- Amy (10/5): Very convenient to everything! - Very secure! Friendly people! No lift
- Adolfo (8/5): Great central location with large apartment well outfitted - Location, size of rooms, storage space, kitchen, A/C. Friendly Staff The number of stairs to reach apartment
- Kirsty (10/5): Exceptional - Wow, this was a last minute booking and we are so glad we stayed here. The apartment is so spacious and nicely decorated. The lobby area is beautiful. The location is at the heart of Naples but it is very quiet inside the apartment. Lovely staff - the man at reception gave us maps and told us how to get to sites using public transport which was very helpful. All in all, such a great stay and we I’ll definitely be rebooking on our next trip back to Naples! Absolutely nothing to dislike about this place!
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Natálie (10/5): Great historical apartment - This seems to be the renovated old apartment, so amazing! With the biggest windows I’ve ever seen with a view on authentic yard. The rooms are clean and nice.
The rooms with everything you need from sleepers to kettle..
The location is also great - in the middle of the Center.
- Michele (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (10/5): Excellent loft apartment - Location , quiet and comfy Nothing
- Mark (10/5): A wonderful stay in a crazy city. Our host was superb. Took the time to explain the facilities and the surrounding area. - The location and cleanliness were fantastic Nothing
- Robert (8/5): Overall, all good. - Great room. Great location. Because the room faces an internal courtyard., it is quiet despite the busy central location. No lift - a long climb up to the room. Reception open only at certain times. There was a EUR 30 surcharge for arriving after 8 pm.
- Shw17 (9/5): Great quiet apartment in the heart of the old town of Napoli. - Very centrally located apartment, and nevertheless really quiet. The apartment itself was very spacious and the proprietor provides all you need to make yourself a first class coffee in the morning as well as some biscotti, nutella and more. Very thoughtful. We enjoyed the stay very much It is a pity they don't care more for the bathrooms, the shower especially: The tiles are covered with stubborn lime traces, which clearly have not been removed over the years. It is just an optical thing. Nevertheless, it would be worth giving the tiles a proper wash, enhancing the experience even more.
- Theminx88 (9/5): Perfect for what we needed. - The check in was great friendly and helpful. The location is central but a little hard to find - mainly because when you first arrive in Naples it is quite overwhelming - noisy and chaotic. You need to walk a couple of hundred metres with your bags so just be prepared for this. There are several flights of stairs, no lift which is totally normal for Naples. The room was a lovely quiet oasis from the noise that is Naples. There were bottles of water in the fridge which was a lovely and appreicated touch after an early start and long day travelling. The reception is only there by arrangement for check in. When you check out you just leave you keys in the room which worked perfectly for us. The lovely man in reception gave us a number to call if we needed but I can't imagine that would have worked well with our lack of italian and his limited english. You need to be able to manage taking you suitcases downstairs when you check out. We didn't have any problems but again if you are not very able this could be challenging for you. I am sure you would be able to arrange for help with this if you need but make sure to ask on checking in. We booked a room without a balcony but it did have a large window that looked over the courtyard. I don't imagine there are many rooms with views in Centro Storico because the way it is designed so a courtyard view or if you are lucky a veiw over a piazza is too be expected.
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful and located near restaurants with the best pizza in Italy. - The room was stunning…….a mix of modern art and classic furnishings. The loft bedroom was both comfortable with a large ensuite bathroom. Thoroughly recommend this property to anyone. There is nothing I could say….perfecto.
- Sabrina (9/5): Superb -
- Frederic (10/5): Great location, nice people, nice appartment - Great location, nice appartment Works in adjacent building, but not too much trouble
- Ongun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (9/5): Great stay in Naples - The location is amazing. Really clean and spacious. Felt very comfortable there. It was difficult to enter the property. We had to ring a few times.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gloria (10/5): very good, would stay again - Location, space, clean, reception service excellent! stairs to loft to apartment but manageable
- Roger (10/5): Ultimate stay! - It is in a prime location to experience the authentic life in Naples. The man who welcomed us, was like many Neapolitans, incredibly hospitable. The apartment looks classic and incredibly beautiful inside. -
- Szymon (10/5): Exceptional - Pretty nice and specious room and very clean - the cleaning is each day as in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location - you are in the middle of the old town. For me the bed was way too soft. I would recomend to put the digital panel with the code to open the main door from the street just before you get the key at the reception (then it's easy) - otherwise you just wait and hope that somebody will open the main door (for the first time).
- Jennifer (9/5): Great place to visit - Spacious
- William (8/5): very good hotel - size of the room, very large; staff helpful; location good no elevator
- Ramzi (9/5): Amazing stay in the middle of the historical centre of a lovely town - Everything was perfect. Very quiet, very comfortable bed and spotless apartment.
- Nathalie (4/5): Not to be repeated - Nothing really… only the lady at reception was accomodating when we arrived later than foreseen. The parking she recommended was the best option considering. But a pain to get to… we damaged our car in the proces. The entry of the place is horrible. A large door full of graffiti in a very noisy neighbourhood. No elevator. The reception was a very sad room in a corner that smelled like cigarettes. Room was ok in terms of size but beds were very bad. Also why use blue blankets instead of a duvet? It gives a dirty impression.
- Urška (8/5): Very good -
- Just (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (8/5): Perfect for the job of one night. - Nice old building in Centro Storico of Naples, but very peaceful at night. Very minimalistic room - perfectly comfortable, but cold and far from a Palazzo atmosphere.
- Arif (10/5): Great location to walk all the nearby attractions. - Great central location and staff. A Taxi was arranged promptly to ferry us over to the airport @ 6:30AM (20 euros) N/A
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - This was an amazing hotel! You can’t beat the location…right in the middle of the historic center and minutes from many attractions.
The beds were very comfortable. They even had slippers for comfort.
The staff is amazing!
- Hugopei (8/5): Great - The staff was very nice and available.
The place itself is very well located and comfortable. The room is quite noisy in the morning, but that's the only negative.
