• Roy (10/5): Great Stay - At first I was a little apprehensive about some things I had seen online about this property. My concerns were unfounded. This place was beautiful.

The condo building is new and well kept. Lobby Security on site. We stayed in 3204 a 3 bedroom unit. Good size, clean, beds made, fresh linens & towels. Nice size kitchen equipped with dishes, pots, pans cutlery etc...all good. Comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms, tables chairs, pull out futon plus day bed. You could actually sleep 9 in this unit. Nice size balcony with good view of the lake. Relatively quiet and sound proofing is pretty good. Nice city view as well. Ran out of toilet paper the first night of stay so could use some improvement to keep that stocked properly. Washer & Dryer and laundry soap provided. All & all, I would recommend.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a beautiful penthouse condo with a to die for view of Toronto lit up at night. It was clean and spacious. However be sure to be precise about when you are checking in. I was under the assumption anytime between 4 and 10pm was ok, I told them I would be there around 5pm. At 5:20 they messaged me asking where I was and to give them an ETA.. I didn't realize someone was at the property waiting for me. Additionally they charged me an additional $20 for damages without contacting me. I contacted them and they explained this was for 2 broken wine glasses. I explained actually no, I brought my own champagne flutes from home (because I was unsure if they would be stocked) and I accidentally broke one of my own. The cleaning person must have seen the glass and assumed it was from the unit. I guess they don't keep an accurate count of what exactly they have in the unit. There was also an already cracked champagne flute in the cabinet which I found cracked and took a picture of in case they tried to charge me for it. And that is exactly what happened. Besides those little details, the condo was beautiful and I would definitely stay again! The 2 bed/ 2 bath condo was so much better to host a couple of friends in versus a hotel room.
• chanta (2/5): - So our experience with getting directions to locate the back of the hotel was horrible the agent who is helping us did not have a sense of direction for the area and we had to constantly keep circling the building for about 2 hours I would never book again the communication and sense of direction for the area needs to be a lot more clearer. As far as the room itself it was a beautiful room lovely View the only issue I had was that there was a hole in the bathroom door that was not fully closed up and paint it over.
• TANIA (4/5): Noisy and bright nights - A very noisy apartment with no black out shades, the wash machine was not working properly and it was full of fungus. We complained every day trying to move into a different room but the service was terrible.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - I have to say that after reading many reviews on this property, I had my doubts but went in with an open mind as not all standards are the same. The York Boutique Suites surpassed our expectations. Exactly as stated in the booking add, we received our check-in instructions via email one week prior to our arrival. We had to provide a bit of information and was able to ask questions. Jade at the admin team, was very efficient during our communications! We found the place easily enough! At the taxi drop location there is a bird house referred to. This is to help locate the place to make sure you are at the right area. It is huge, however look up and it will be right there! :) Our room was very clean and modern looking! Loved the place and everything was provided as well! The view was great as well! We did not have much issues with the elevators. The first night we ended up waiting maybe 7 min but other than that 1-2 min max! This was not an issue for us, however we had noticed comments about this so we expected worse. We were on the low rise levels, maybe that helped! :) Check-in process went very smoothly for us contrary to what some reviews stated. Followed the instructions provided and all went very well, would absolutely not hesitate to stay here again! Definitely worth the try and so well located! Thanks York Boutique Suites!

• Dario (10/5): - The only thing I can complain about is the difficulty we had in locating the place for the first time. 1, wheh you google the place, it gives you a differnt address than 12 york street. 2 the place is not even called what it says it is online. The actual name is ICE condominiums and then 3. They make you call them 15 minutes before arriving which is fine and all but they should tell you the address of the parking loop in the back of the building which is 19 Grand trunk crescent.

As I showered the tub completely filled up and would take over 5 minutes to drain. I asked several times for this to be fixed during our stay. Management said they would fix it but never did. It’s not fun to come back after a long day and take a shower in a dirty shower that doesn’t drain.
• D. (10/5): - The place was beautiful. The pictures are quite accurate. the view of the city and of lake Ontario are unique and impressive. Penthouse means on the 67th floor - Considerably higher than I imagined. Elevators are quick and the whole worked out well.
• Paul (2/5): Worst Hotel Ever - This has got to be the worst place I have ever stayed. My partner got there before me and even though I put his name on the list, they gave him a hard time. Their reasoning? I told them he would be there at 7:30 and he was there at 7:20. They are by far the rudest, least accommodating hotel I have ever stayed. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel - it is not worth it at all.
• Bruno (6/5): Not as expected - Although it is well located, the apartment was not as expected: a low floor almost at the level of a highway, one of the bedrooms had no door (!) and it just as big as the bed inside! They should have put more effort in cleaning it and giving a nicer ambiance to the room. The bathrooms are very small, you do not have place to put your toiletteries.they should give better references to find the place. all the process to "checkin" is very annoying as you have to park your car temporarily outside as there is no place to do so correctly. Would not stay there again

• Ksfujimura (4/5): - It was in a nice area but the check in process was so confusing especially because I got two condos that ended up in two different buildings. There is a parking garage that they insist you reserve ahead of time with an email link but when you try to reserve a spot they charge an extra 77 dollars for a “cleaning fee”. If you ask to reserve a spot during check in, the fee does not exist. One of the condos was great, spacious, clean and pretty comfortable. The furniture is pretty hard but it was manageable. The other room was was not satisfactory, someone had recently smoked a cigarette and it smelled even after opening everything to air out. My daughter had a terrible asthma attack because of the dust and smoke. The linens had stains and the door kept coming off the track which nearly crushed my two year old. We called to express our concerns about the non refundable room and after talking to a woman for 30 minutes, she said she would either find us a new room or issue a discount but needed to talk to a manager. She said she would call back in 30 minutes. She never called back. I should have known there would be an issue when I had to talk to someone for almost an hour and a half to receive the room I originally booked as they tried to slip it past us in an email that we would be getting a significantly smaller room at the price of a more expensive room. I don’t complain often but honestly, the convenience of Being in the city was not worth the immense hassle.

Just thought that there should have been a safety bolt on the inside of the apartment, with so much activity in and around the apartment. Apartment very safe, just extra precaution. Very modern, extra clean. Lots and lots of amenities, included for guests comfort. Totally sold, would definitely go back there

• Jeronimo (8/5): Nice place, it needs attention to details. - The location is great and the apartment very comfortable. The bath tub was 90% clogged up and I sent them an email but never got a response. Also, the bathtub cap and a towel hanger were broken. the TV remote didn't have batteries and since they were not replying to my emails I ended up 2 batteries. Overall is a nice place.
• CN (6/5): - The checkin process was weird. I met a guy outside the building on the street and he gave me a key. You need more than one key and I couldn't get one. Finally I get an email at 10:00p at night saying someone will stop by and leave a key. This was the night before checkout so it was too late. Building security seemed relaxed and people entered freely without being checked. Initially I tried to cancel within 24 hrs of booking and was told I would be charged a 40% fee. This should be listed on the website for travelers. My biggest concern was it was clear that adult solicitation was occurring on the property. Scantily clad woman would come down to the lobby, pick up guys and escort them inside the building. Not an ideal place for kids.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - First off, the view from the room is 5 stars. There were just some minor issues that annoyed us. To check-in, something will email you with details and answer any questions you may have. We arrived in Toronto at 10am, we were told in advance that they can only accept our luggages after 1pm. We stored our luggages at the intercontinental hotel for $5 per items. make sure you have canadian dollars cause that won't give you back the correct change. To check-in you have to call them 15 minutes in advance and wait for a guy to meet you in the lobby and give you the room key. The towels in the room was either old or very cheap. Each time we use them they leave particles all over our body, that was annoying and disgusting. Wish we booked with an actual hotel. The fact that we had to pay to store our luggage elsewhere was the most annoying.

• Stephanie (8/5): - Wonderful location with great views. Check-in and parking were smooth, no issues. It is a condo in downtown Toronto so the elevators and parking are a bit confusing at first . Parking elevators are separate from the building elevators and the building elevators are divided by lower and upper floors. Just take your time and look for signs to direct you. The condo had plenty of space and was overall in good condition except for the carpet in the bedrooms. They really need to be replaced. Overall a good value for the price.

I was never told which place to wait for the person who is coming to get me the room key and when he came, he mentioned that early check-in costs $40 out of no where. Staffs at the counter desk kept telling me to just wait until the host shows up. When I finally got access to the room, bathroom was not clean at all and the tub drain was clogged with previous customers hair and all the nasty stuff. Shower curtain had some dirty stain which cause by the contaminated water which was result of the clogged drain and it stink. I was supposed to stay there with my significant other for two nights but I booked another hotel somewhere else just to avoid all the issues I mentioned above. I really wish I didn’t pay that much money just to struggle and have an awful experience.
• Michael (6/5): Nice condo with weird checkin... - Generally an ok stay. Maybe my fault for not biking tradition hotel, but the checkin and c heck out process is weird. Too 3-4 emails to make it clear to them I wasn’t checking in until after 11 due to a later flight. Found out they charge $40 extra for a late checkin. They called me after I landed again, and I had to still call them when I was within 15 min and tel them what I was wearing. You then meet a random person in the lobby who checks you in. Overall, an off and expensive checkin process. Aside from checkin, place is okay. It has a nice view since you’re on 67the floor. Bed is super low and was too soft for me, but might be fine for orthers. Checkout is easy as you just leave keys in microwave and leave. Overall, not a bad place. A bit south of everything (which I’m okay with) but close to enough stuff if you’re coming for leisure.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - Front desk was not helpful and when we asked to speak to a manager they would tell us to call back and when we did the manager was never available or there. The bed was broken when we got there so someone came to fix it, but then later it looked like someone had come into the room when we were there. They gave us no notice someone was going to be going to our room. We needed to speak to the manager about the security deposit and when it would be refunded since we got 3 different answers and the manager never wanted to speak to us. Will not be staying again, even though the apartment was beautiful and in a great location. The customer service was just non existent and with someone coming to our room without us there and not letting us know made us very uncomfortable.
• Aaron (6/5): Not bad, but better options exist - Checkin was simple, but kind of an odd setup, you have to tell them an exact time of your arrival which is difficult to do when traveling internationally. The condo was ok, kind of small with a cheap feel to it. The condo was clean(ish), I felt like it was sanitary, but there was a good deal of dust on the appliances, TV, and under the bed. It seems a bit worn, with cheap furniture and a very uncomfortable bed. Plastic chairs on the balcony were a nice touch (sarcasm).
• Paul (2/5): Nightmare !! - Absolute nightmare! Fire alarm went off 2x during our stay due to false alarm and my elderly parents had to walk down 35 flights of stairs. My children thought they were going to get burned up a fire..."we are going to die!"....twice!! We were also harrassed by security going in and out of building...one gaurd accused me of having a "fake fob" to get in and out of property (This is the fob we were given at check in to open the doors). Also...no parking was available...so I had to park 1 block away and pay $35 per day. This was the worst stay my family has ever had. I would never stay here again.
• John (6/5): - Location is the only positive about this property. Check-In is awkward and painful. They did not service the room. Room was barely clean. Only 1 single roll of toilet paper provided, had to purchase.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Fantastic view, property was clean, bed was comfortable. Netflix was included which was nice. Check-in was a bit difficult. Would recommend the property management to notify what the person is wearing or use a landmark to meet at. Also please inform about how small the parking spaces. I was unable to park at the designated spot due to restrictions on my vehicle (low turning circle, wide sports car). I had to find public parking to park.
• CECILIA (8/5): Great location. Amazing view. - Excellent location, you have everything that you want to see and many restaurants within walking distance. We were on the 22nd floor and the panoramic view towards the CN Tower was amazing. The two bedroom TWO BATH apartment was very convenient for a family of 5 with 3 grown children. The bedrooms were a little smaller than expected. Although it looked clean and well kept, a little touch up on the walls would be nice and the cleaning needs to be improved as there were some stains on the carpet and sofa. The only negative is that the elevators were sometimes crowded, especially on weekends which was a nuisance sometimes. Other than that, the apartment is great, nice amenities and nice decor and we would definitely stay there again.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The 66th floor offers an amazing view. I'd suggest a short video that shows the check in, check out process which is not a traditional experience. Whenever you can avoid surprises it is a good idea to do so.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is in the downtown area, close to many attractions. We were on floor 67 and had a beautiful view of the city and Lake Ontario. Our unit was very attractive and the furnishings were modern. The only negative with the unit was that it had a very small bathroom. There was no vanity - just a small sink area - and no where to put our toiletries except a very small wall cabinet. There was also some very major construction going on at the front of the building that required us to come in through the back when we arrived. My husband had to stay with the car while I ran in to meet with someone in the lobby in order to register - and he had to move the car a couple times because there were so many people trying to do the same thing. There were several other people milling about trying to register at the same time and no one really knew what the process was. Once I found the representative, things got much better. I think this confusion should go away once the construction is completed. Parking is available in an underground garage, which was convenient.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Noisy in mid-night - There was many dust on the floor and kitchen wares were dirty, which needs to be improved. The location is nice, but it is difficult to find it if you are the first time traveler in Toronto. No service at all except you were check-in the apartment. The neighbor was very noisy during midnight, they were shouting and screaming around the lift lobby. The apartment admin should add a condition to all the residents to keep quiet during night time.
• Katty (10/5): Check in is different but the views were amazing - Check in went smoothly. The other reviews about check in being terrible were really deterring me from booking but last minute decided to just go for it. However, trying to figure out where to park temporarily before checking in was confusing. Driving downtown is already stressful and not really knowing knowing where to park to get the keys and fob was difficult. First time I called they told me vaguely which street to head to and then the 2nd time I called they gave me an address which made it a lot easier to get to the stopping area that leads to the garage. The suite itself was fantastic. Had everything I needed if we were staying for more than 1 night. Everything was very new and clean feeling. I would definitely book again! Close to everything and great view.
