The door appeared to be kicked in tiles were missing. There was broken glass in the room when we checked in. Was definitely not worth the money that we paid as it was equivalent to a Holiday Inn in America.
• Celina (10/5): If you don't mind being far from town, this is a great place to stay! - The place is about 30 min from town and you have to drive through a dirt rode. If you don't mind that then this place is for you. The condo was amazing, the view from our room was unbeatable, the beds super confortable, the pool was always clean, staff was super friendly, the beach was also great, overall we had an amazing time. Wifi was an issue, they went to fix it 2 times and still never worked. The a/c unit at the main bedroom was super loud. My husband loved it, he said it was like "white noise" but I am a light sleeper so that was not great.

I wanted to be happy for this new resort but I'm not sold on it after what I experienced.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Changed our room and no accommodations. - Well the view is amazing but it wasn’t the place we rented and is not what we got. They changed it on us. Although it was still a 3 bedroom, it was in a different building then all of our family in 5 other rooms so we had to haul our kids and stuff back and forth every time to see family or get together in our large family vacation. We specifically rented that building and that room for that reason. Also the new place didn’t have any smart TV’s and the 1 ghetto TV they had was super small in the living room. Again, not the room we booked, yet no discount or accommodations for the change or inconvenience. The biggest pool was under construction and not made aware. The hot tubs were nice and 1 pool was swimmable. A little pool bar was open a few hours a day but not reliable. No groceries or market or anything else on property. View was amazing and right on the beach which is super nice and convenient, but there is nothing close by. Don’t plan to walk to anything.
• Paul (9/5): Can’t beat having morning coffee on the balcony with unobstructed ocean views - You can’t beat the ocean view from the living area and master bedroom. Very relaxing in the morning to sit on the nice balcony with your coffee. Easy in and out access to the resort. Electronic door lock was nice so no need to remember the card key if you are going to the pool and back. Excellent shell collecting when the tide goes out. Hard to cook eggs in the morning with the electric stove. Took a very long time for the pans to heat up. Hot water for showers runs out after the second person. A bit of a drive if you want to go into town. Great if you like the seclusion and just want to stay in.

Private beach, hot hot tub. There are no services here. Bring everything you are going to need asfat as food and booze. Plenty of cooking gear and plates, cups, etc. We will be staying there again.
• Travis (6/5): - The condo is in need of some upgrades and repairs. The dishwasher was broken so we has to do all our dishes by hand. The kitchen was well stocked but with the dishwasher broken we could have used paper products. Additional paper towels and garbage bags were not provided which made cleaning difficult. The hot water heater was very small so hot showers were limited and with 6 people staying there it was hard to get a warm shower. The patio was nice but one of the patio couches was broken so we were unable to use it. The mattresses in the bedrooms could defiantly be replaced and the master bathroom had a bad sewer smell coming from the toilet at all times.

Only disadvantage is that it is very far from the town, so if you forget ANYTHING you have to drive more than 30min each way to get it. There is not a convenient store with in a few minutes.

• Noe (8/5): Family vacation (spring break) - The place was excellent for our family vacation trip. We stayed Sunday to Wednesday and did not deal with the hectic holiday weekend. It is about 20-30 minutes away from Peñasco but that was only a problem when we wanted to go to a grocery store or felt like eating out. The beach is far better than the one I got to see Peñasco and the condo had everything you needed to make meals at “home”. They have staff that do up-keeping outside every day but it was hard to reach someone over the phone. There was a water pump issue that kept us without water a couple of times which was inconvenient because we had people left soapy mid shower. The issue was resolved but they should’ve communicated with the guest about the problem to avoid people getting caught off guard. One little negative was that the master restroom had a weird smell, maybe humidity? There’s really no ventilation in there. For the price, beach, and facilities, I thought it was excellent overall. Just need better communication and extra care in the rooms. Our kids ages 5-12 would have easily given it a 100% score, adults probably an 87% lol hope this helps!

We haven't been down to Puerto Penasco since there were just 10k people it has since swelled to 45k people. It was so nice to stay away from sandy beach and the crowds. This property is a game changer for us. You are 20 minutes south of Puerto Penasco. The beaches are beautiful and you and your family can be the only ones on the beach at times. The property is modern and well maintained. Staff is accomidating and you have FULL access to Mayan Palaces property including Lazy River, beach, restaruants and bars. HOWEVER!!!! This beach is better for shelling. We haven't seen shells like this in any of the resorts in Mexico, not on the three Islands in Hawaii or the Bahamas. Serious shells. Bottom line is we will tell our friends and you should go and connect with your family and enjoy the solitide this property provides.
• Karen (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing - We took a family short stay to the Encanto in Puerto Penasco, Mexico and I have to say that it was AMAZING! The location and facility were so beautiful. It is very quiet especially for the Memorial holiday weekend. Our one bedroom suite had a full kitchen, two full baths and beautifully furnished looking over the pool to the Sea of Cortez. It was wonderful waking up to the sounds of the Sea of Cortez and having two family sized fire pits on the grounds was very convenient to use for family gathering after a long day. I liked it so much my husband and I were discussing purchasing a condo of our own! Good Job Kivoya!

• Skizzles (6/5): - We had a decent experience staying at this resort. It was not very clear initially that this was a vacation rental property (no restaurants or other food amenities on site, extra cost for room service, limited staff on site, etc). Luckily we read some of the reviews and knew to bring our own food, otherwise it would have been a disaster. The aesthetics of the room were excellent, however it wasn't as clean as we would have liked (hair found in bathrooms, shower, patio tub, etc). We were surprised to find out that as guests of Encanto Living we also got access to the Grand Maya amenities -- this was the saving grace of our trip as we spent most of our daytime hours at the Hotel Maya pool, beach, etc and very much enjoyed it (very nice). Overall, the property is a little bit run down, isn't as clean as we would have liked, and is 30 min away from the city (either good or bad depending on your preference), however it is still a strong value considering the price.

• Crystal (10/5): Yea - Stay here was absolutely amazing. It’s a little off the beaten path, but with a full kitchen, a simple stop for groceries and you’re set! The only complaint( not even a complaint though..) I have is that was limited hot water. I’m assuming they do it to promote water conversation, so I understand. I really couldn’t recommend staying here enough. I’ve really told everyone how perfect this place is!

Since the listing mentioned notifying them if late check in. But didn't mention what time late was. We got there by 4:30 and there happened to still be some one there. Great pool, beach and room. Just the few things mentioned. Town is 20 minutes away. But the Mayan palace is close by n their activities are included but didn't realize until last night we were there. Need better orientation/ check in
• A (2/5): The staff is horrible- dishonest - I got charged extra for damages I did do. Staff and owner of unit 502 was not helpful at all. All they care about is making a little extra money. Will not return.

• Tressa (10/5): Super spectacular beach condo! - I loved staying here. The building was nice, the beach was practically deserted and the pool was amazing. It's far out from the town of puerto penasco but worth the drive:) The kitchen sink was broken in our room and they were supposed to come fix but it never happened during our stay (we may have left when maintenance came to door).... Also, we somehow got our key cards canceled during our stay and had to hunt down a maintenance guy which took like a 1/2 hour... The place is very nice but a little quirky in the way it's managed (or lack of management). The beach views, pool, and playing in the Sea of Cortez made this trip amazing!!
• Carlos (10/5): Great place for some good R&R - Our stay at the Luna Blanca Resort was truly relaxing! This place is where you want to be for some real rest and relaxation. The entire staff was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. The receptionist, was very friendly and knowledgeable to begin with. The guys that help with the luggage are so respectful and kind. However, they do need do need an additional hauling cart to assist the guest with their luggage. The condos were clean and pleasant. I will definitely stay there again. Upon our departure, I asked about the condo refund. The receptionist explained that if I made payment through Hotels.com they would be responsible for my refund and that if I didn't hear from them to please contact Encanto Living and let them know. I still haven't received anything from Hotels.com or heard anything from Encanto Living after an email I sent to management My refund is still in limbo... Your help is greatly appreciated. • Luz (10/5): Great Vacation!! - My family and I loved this place! We really didn't mind the fact that Encanto was a bit far from town because the place was so peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely visit again! Not a crowded beach at all. How awesome is that! It's like having the beach and the pool area to yourself!

• sjghickey68 (10/5): Serene Beauty - Encanto Living is a condo tower about 30 minutes from Puerto Penasco and offers an amazing water view with a beautiful pool between you and the sea. It's units are spacious and inviting however they do not include things found in a hotel such as shampoo/conditioner and a hairdryer. If you are looking to get away and don't mind cooking on vacation, this is an incredible location. They have 3 grills off the pool deck and a nice kitchen inside your unit. The large deck if you are in a middle unit also has a jacuzzi. Note that when staying here you also have access to the Grand Mayan Resort which is about a 10 minute drive. This large resort features more pools and a lazy river along with restaurants, bars and minor shopping.
• Robert (8/5): Quiet, Remote, and Relaxing - This was our first trip to Mexico and this place set the stage! The property's general manager greeted us and made us feel right at home. His staff was very friendly and helpful assisting us to our room. The view was wonderful out in front of the property. There is a boarded up house to the south but it quickly disappears with the beauty of the ocean, beach, and pool. Finding the property took a little navigating and probably would have been impossible after dark so get there early, I'd say by 3pm. The room had everything we needed. The leather was extremely worn on some of the furnishings and there were a few pictures missing but whatever. Full kitchen, pots and pans, enough dishes for 4, washer / dryer, even really good wi-fi. The AC worked well even in 108 degree August heat. We loved how quite this place is, walking the beach and checking out tide pools, as well as sitting by the pool or on the balcony. There is no daily cleaning service which we liked, no disruptions. You need to bring food as there are no stores close by and it is about a 30 minute drive to the nearest one. Think of it like a home away from home in the middle of nowhere, not a hotel. We loved it!
