Ajish (1/5): Worst stay not recommended - The view was good First of all location shown on the map was not correct. I had to travel 1 km in a narrow road to reach the location. Staff was not that friendly they wanted so many documents for no reason. The bed and the room where so congested. Towels provided was stinky not washed I think. There was no water in the toilets it was flowing very slow. I had to wait 30 mins to fill one bucket. The AC remote didn't work there was no option to change the temperature.

Lena (10/5): A place to recharge your energy, nourishing treatments, food and warm-hearted people - Very calm and peaceful location by the river. The staff is very warm-hearted and friendly. I booked the full Yoga and Ayurveda package, which includes three meals, accommodation, two Ayurveda treatments a day and Yoga and meditation classes, the offer is a great value für Money. I enjoyed the daily Ayurveda treatments very much and the yoga class in the morning as well as the meditation and pranayama in the evening with a spectacular sunset view. It's a place to calm down and heal away from the rush of Indian cities and surrounded by nature. The food is very good, south Indian and ayurvedic meals three times a day. After one week I felt completely balanced and recharged.

Fiona (9/5): Peaceful place, great location. - Very peaceful place, right on the riverbank with lovely views. We only had one night here, but did manage to fit in a meditation session as well as dinner. Simple food, very nicely cooked - we chose to eat it outside. Helpful staff, printing out our boarding passes for us. It's only 25 mins from Kochi airport. A restful place to stay before heading off. Nothing!

Kiran (10/5): A brilliant short stay. Highly recommend. - Amazing location. Epitomises the term ‘God’s own country’ perfectly. Fantastic massage and treatment options. Good vegetarian food. Extremely helpful and supportive staff. Highly recommend the property for a break to recharge your batteries. Very functional and comfortable.

VN (6/5): - Beautiful location along the Periyar river. We loved waking up to see the water and nature. Helpful in arranging for a cab to take us sightseeing. Staff helpfulness is inconsistent: some very nice and helpful people such as the kitchen personnel who arranged for an earlier breakfast for us given we had an early flight, and some other staff that made us uncomfortable - the pictures in the booking showed an upstairs room, but the receptionist asked for more money stating that it would be an upgrade (it was not). In general that person seemed to behave strangely once they saw a foreign passport (asked for a lot of personal information saying it was mandatory, although NO other hotel in India had ever asked for that in several years of traveling there). Relatively clean but still stained sheets. We only had 1 towel for 2 people, never got it despite asking.

Siju (9/5): Superb - Excellent setting on the banks of a beautiful river. This property, located near a forest, is quite calm and comfortable. You can always hear a symphony of countless birds. Modest but filling breakfast.. The service is friendly and welcoming. The bed is fairly comfortable. The personnel are very friendly. It's as if you're going to visit a friend. Our ayurvedic massage was also quite pleasant.
David (9/5): Great relaxing stay. Superb staff. Beautiful and peaceful location on the river. - It was my 3rd visit here. Amazing location. Peaceful and relaxing. Good for yoga. Good for Ayurveda treatment. Lovely healthy meals. It rained a lot so pick the time to visit wisely. The river is wonderful to swim in but because of the rain it was running too fast this time.
Delwyn (8/5): Lovely peaceful place to relax - I stayed here for one night before flying home. Lovely spot to chill out. I wasn't here long enough to enjoy all the facilities but had a massage which was lovely but stopped short of the scheduled timeframe. They discounted the cost when I checked out. The food is very wholesome and tasty. The retreat is quite a drive from Chonchi city but only about 30 minutes from the airport.

Jaya (8/5): beautiful retreat near the river - At first we had two minds coz the location was almost as if a no man's land.but on staying there we had a different opinion. The location is awsome as its next to the river n no traffic rush.in th midst of nature and it truly calms the mind. Thought the facilities don't match that of a hotel coz it was earlier jst a ayurverdic centre. Like no room service, no kettle etc. But the attendant Thomas took good care of us with what we needed. Good home made food. Also the Manager Abhilash was jst a message away to attend to our needs. Thanks to the team.. Some options for Room Service, a kettle in the room would be a bonus.
