- Curiosity04116415654 (2/5): Not great, actually bad. - I stayed here on Dec 22nd and 23rd, I took a room for us couple and my son (paid 3rd member in room) I had booked online through Radisson site and also tried to redeem points. Firstly I learnt that Radisson Points work differently, you have to pay almost 80% and only rest is adjusted. Secondly the amount of reward points deducted and rupees adjust was different as shown on site and at the reception. Broadly the reception told me only 850 Rupees per day could be redeemed not more. I have been staying at Radisson Hotels since over a decade but this experience was pathetic. Firstly I do not know why it is a 5 Star, there are no facilities other than a cold pool (not heated). The staff had not read the instructions I gave at the time of booking and I had to repeat on arrival. Room Service wasn't as professional - there was no soap no moisturizer I had to ask for it. The kettle was leaking and i had to ask to replace. They forgot to keep the laundry bag. In the dinner, I ordered chow mien and some vegetable in hot garlic sauce , it was something else with bland flavour definitely not hot garlic sauce. Ruined our dinner. They were kind enough not to charge me for the same. Breakfast had decent spread, most things were fine, chola was not great though rest were fine, The servings staff was generally prompt. However the staff is untrained - the serving staff was untrained, could not serve or even understand. Would speak in HIndi if you requested in English, which is fine. They offered a 10% discount on dinner which I am sure they would have added. The entrance in slip road - main road was being paved with tiles so it was at this time bad as it was difficult to take your car out. The next day we decided to eat outside. Reception was also not trained and could not respond to questions. They couldnt explain me the bill and i gave up. Overall untrained staff, some average some not great food, not the same experience as other Radisson Hotels.

This hotel proudly wears a 5-star badge, yet put me in a room without a window or a hint of natural sunlight. That’s not luxury—that’s architectural gaslighting. You can polish the marble, train the staff, and spray expensive fragrances, but you can’t call a concrete box a premium experience. Waking up disoriented, unsure whether it’s morning or night, is not what anyone pays a 5-star price for. If this is “luxury,” then transparency clearly isn’t part of the package. Windowless rooms should be disclosed loudly, not discovered silently after check-in. A reminder: stars are earned through experiences, not certificates framed at reception. Deeply disappointing. Unforgettable—for all the wrong reasons.

The bathroom had obnoxious smell of excessive room freshner probably to conceal bad smell! The technical glitch in the internal system of the hotel made us wait for 30 mins at the reception as they could not find our reservation! Later, interestingly, they found 2 reservations in our name, which was ineffectively solved to be only one 😇. The lobby manager was non skilled and cold! The shower area had a toothbrush left over by earlier guest which was unnoticed by the house keeping! The mattress on the left side was elevated for no understandable reasons! However, there were 2 consolations - the flute 🪈 player in the breakfast area and comfy lazy chair in deluxe room! The food was average, thankfully not bad! At best this hotel qualifies for a 3* rating bringing disgrace to the pedigree of Radisson !

- mayurkhandelia (4/5): Not a Star Property by Any Standard – Overpriced & Mismanaged - Not a Star Property by Any Standard – Overpriced & Mismanaged I travel extensively for work and frequently stay in genuine star-category hotels. Unfortunately, this property does not meet even the most basic standards expected from such a category. On my first and second day, I had to change rooms three times. The only positive here was that the final change was an upgrade to a business-class room — and for a short while, things seemed better. However, the next day, the housekeeping service completely ruined the experience again. When the manager was finally called and I had to raise my voice to get things fixed, it was sorted — but honestly, how much should a guest have to shout to receive basic service? The Wi-Fi situation was equally frustrating. On Day 1 itself, it was not working. Trainees kept arriving with different room numbers and passwords as a temporary workaround instead of actually fixing the underlying issue. This was not a solution — it was a clear sign of poor systems and lack of technical competence. And now, on my third night, the same issue continues unresolved. To make matters worse, it wasn’t just Wi-Fi and housekeeping — room service was inconsistent, and even the breakfast layout had very limited options, far below the expectations from a star property. A major concern is that the hotel appears to rely heavily on inexperienced trainees, possibly unpaid, who lack both training and authority to address guest needs. Apologies were constant, but they felt scripted rather than sincere. In short: * Service: Inconsistent, poorly trained staff. * Management: Reactive only after escalation, no preventive measures. * Facilities: Basic amenities like Wi-Fi not reliably functional. * F&B: Breakfast selection minimal and uninspiring. * Value for Money: Absolutely not worth the tariff. If you expect a genuine star-property experience, look elsewhere. This stay was a waste of both money and expectations.

The hotel is well-maintained, with clean, spacious rooms and all the modern amenities you’d expect from a Radisson property. We had planned a short day trip to Kasauli and needed to leave our car at the hotel for a day. She went out of her way to guide us through the entire car parking procedure. She was patient, clear with her instructions, and ensured everything was taken care of without any hassle. It was a small gesture, but it made a big difference in reducing our stress and letting us enjoy our trip worry-free. When we called to book a room, we were advised by the hotel staff to book through their app since we are members. On logging in, we saw our membership benefits reflected and proceeded with the booking. The app clearly confirmed the reservation, mentioned “Your stay is free, and points have been redeemed,” and even provided a confirmation clicker. However, upon reaching the hotel, the staff refused to honor the app confirmation. They claimed the booking wasn’t valid and insisted we pay offline. This was extremely frustrating. If Radisson’s own app issues confirmations that the property doesn’t recognize, it creates confusion and severely impacts customer trust. We expected better professionalism and clarity from an international hotel chain like Radisson. We sincerely hope the management addresses this issue and ensures such incidents don’t happen again.

Due to the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan, I was forced to cancel my travel plans. The situation was so serious that even the Chandigarh Airport was shut down for a period, making it impossible to proceed with my scheduled trip. I made multiple calls to Mr. Kanwar, who claimed to be the Front Office Manager. In our initial conversation, he stated clearly that the hotel had been directed to issue full refunds for bookings dated between the 10th and 15th of May due to the crisis. He assured me that my booking would be fully refunded. However, in a shocking turn of events, Mr. Kanwar later completely denied making any such commitment. This blatant dishonesty is not only unprofessional but deeply inhumane, considering the seriousness of the situation. It is appalling that a hotel operating under an international brand like Radisson would resort to misleading guests during such a sensitive time. I have tried explaining it to them through Emails and calls that the Non refundable booking was never subject to a war breaking out between our country and the neighbouring one,Also enlightened that the state was on a Red alert during this phase,but have been met with nothing but avoidance and contradictory statements. This experience has not only caused financial loss but also immense frustration and distress. Radisson Zirakpur’s actions reflect a severe lack of empathy and accountability. I strongly urge others to exercise caution while booking here, especially in uncertain times. I also request the higher management of Radisson Hotels to investigate this matter seriously and take appropriate action against such misleading and unethical conduct.

No empathy I would say. When requested to meet a senior staff/duty manager, the staff said that she will get back to me however, no update about the same.They also refused for in-room service on arrival (when buffet was not available) lacha parathas, naan in menu however not available. We checked in at 1500 hrs and no proper food options available inspite of saying we are hungry as we travelled from Chennai to Chandigarh. Poor service I would say!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointing family stay - Booked two rooms over three months ago for a two day family break. Firstly, we were asked for passport and visa details upon checkin and were told the booking could not proceed without this. This left us frantically trying to retrieve these details for some period of time when an efficient hotel would’ve noticed the booking was international, and requested this information in advance. After receiving our keys and entering our rooms, it was frustrating to see the rooms given were Double Rooms despite the booking being for Twin Rooms and several emails in advance to the hotel attempting to ensure this request was fulfilled. Only after much persistence and a delay did the Front Office Manager act upon the request and correct the room types. My bed springs were damaged so I spent two night’s sleeping uncomfortably on one side. There were many mosquitos and I don’t believe the rooms were fumigated every evening. Room cleaning was okay but smaller towels were not replaced. I was told I was not allowed to bring in a mini speaker yet on the second night, there was loud music blaring at an in-house party until late. This baffled me and resulted in the whole family having disrupted sleep. We also played one friendly game of family cards in the restaurant only to be told cards were not allowed. I mean…seriously…what?! Breakfast was fairly limited but okay and staff were helpful. As a regular Radisson guest, I will never return to Radisson Zirakpur Chandigarh.

It is conveniently located for a stopover for the night on way to Shimla or further onwards. Never been disappointed. Standard size rooms with good sleep comfort. Quite a delectable breakfast spread with good quality food and many options. Staff are very attentive and helpful.

Ate delicious food made by the chef Mr. Kaushik. He served amazing food catering to my taste and preference. Also provide good service in Restaurant by Ms Khushpreet Kaur, Manjeet Kaur & Mr Yogesh Overall, it was a great stay especially because of these amazing staff of the hotel.

The bedding feels moist, the air is stale and moldy. This IS NOT Radisson quality, it’s a 2 star motor inn level hotel as far as room quality. Only upside is the breakfast was decent, but that’s all. Stay away!
