• Karen (8/5): The facilities could use some TLC but the host has more than enough to give :) - The host was really friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they provided drinking water too. It was very spacious and well equipped. The water heater wasn't too reliable but it's very there hot so the cold water isn't unbearable, maybe it was just my room. They also help with laundry services for a same day turn around if in a rush, I happened to get a discount so I was grateful. The nearby atm was broken when I tried to withdraw and the host was very accommodating and reassuring throughout, I was very touched by her constant warmth. I really hope they can resolve the issue of the mold in the room in the future.

• Mariia (10/5): Лучшее проживание на Бали - Понравилось абсолютно все! Это мое любимое место на Бали. В первую очередь, конечно же, хотелось бы отметить дружелюбие хозяйки. Она просто потрясающая. Сразу же отправила целый список мест, которые нужно посетить, список пляжей и ресторанов поблизости, что было очень удобно. Всегда спрашивала как у меня дела. Завтраки тоже были хорошие: на выбор разные виды блюд. Каждое утро приносят термос с горячей водой и также есть кулер с холодной водой на общей территории. Там просто потрясающе тихо (для Бали это редкость): не было ни петухов, ни лающих собак, ни шума дороги. Звукоизоляция между номерами тоже хорошая. Других гостей почти не слышно. Уборка в номере каждый день Света в комнатах маловато, хотелось бы ярче, прям очень тускло. Еще хотелось бы мини холодильник в комнату, без него сложно, если живешь долго.

Es war sehr ruhig, obwohl die Hauptstraße nur wenige 100m entfernt ist. Das Frühstück wurde auf Wunsch genau zubereitet.

Room design blends modern and traditional furnishings, the breakfast was delicious. I would whole heartedly recommend this property to friends and family. It surpassed my expectations.

• Nikola (10/5): Amazing :) - We were accommodated in one of the four rooms. The room was clean, fragrant, and cleaned daily. The rooms are located in a beautiful garden. Across from the room is a gazebo where you can have breakfast or get drinking water. The owner, Erna, was very kind and helpful with everything. Every morning, she prepared breakfast according to our choice (Indonesian or American). You can have your clothes washed for a very affordable price. Massage services are also available. And most importantly, the owner rents out scooters at a great price. The location is excellent, in the center of southern Bali, with all the beaches and areas in southern Bali nearby. Thank you for the stay, and we will definitely return

What made our stay extra special though was the incredible hospitality of our host, Ibu Erna. I had read previous reviews about her amazing hospitality but even still I was blown away by how kind and welcoming she was. So happy to help with any request or issue. I felt like we were being welcomed home. For the price and the level of care with which Ibu Erna tended to us and addressed our concerns, there was nothing to complain about 🙏🏻

Delicious breakfast, good coffee and possibility to rent a bike. Nice green yard and access to water. There are some insects (snails, caterpillars) on the steps and sometimes in a room, which are hard to get rid of. But they didn't effect my sleep or pleasure.

The room overlooked a very green and well-maintained garden. I felt very private and comfortable staying in this guest house. A delicious breakfast was prepared every morning. Some facilities require attention and repair. The sink faucet did not work for the first few days. Some parts of the room walls could be plastered and painted.

Erna was an incredible hostess who gave us helpful tips for discovering the area. She sorted us with a bike, day trips and transport from the airport, always with a smile on her face. Every morning, we were given the option of what we would like for breakfast and at what time which was super for us as we love a chilled morning. A clean towels every day would be the cherry on top.
• Peter (10/5): Wonderful modern homestay surrounded by garden - Great homestay run by a lovely, modern and a very active Balinese couple that are always trying to help you to make your stay as pleasant as possible! The homestay is situated in a quiet street on top of a hill with big, modern rooms that have super comfy king size beds. Your room gets tidied up every day and you'll be surrounded by a beautiful green garden with flowers. It's a great place to unwind and to relax!

It is a unique place where you can see and experience real Balinese life and culture. The room is clean, well-equipped with beautiful garden and surroundings. Excellent wifi. Quiet location but within walking distance to local shops, restaurants. Beautiful beaches are also close. And most importantly, Erna prepares the best banana pancakes I have ever eaten in Asia 😍 Everything was amazing!

• Carolina (10/5): A place that feels like home - The place feels like home the moment I passed the main gate ☺️ with green garden and good smells of the room. wooden chair in the terrace where I can sit and talk with the neighbour or just doing nothing. the gazebo where I have delicious breakfast made with love or open my laptop and working peacefully. Kak Erna is really a nice person, she is very friendly and now how to make people comfortable. She is like sisters for me than a host ☺️. I end up extend my stay, the room is full but luckily good happens and kak Erna help for me to stay 2 more nights. The best place to stay if you like "feels like home" vibes and want to run away from fuzzy buzzy crowded place. It is the place where I found new friends and new family. I will come back soon. Kak Erna and fams stay safe and healthy until we meet again 🤗🥰 I cannot think if I have something that I don't like.
• Amanda (9/5): Staying at El Homestay Bali was an excellent start to my trip to Bali because I could feel at home. - Erna, the owner, goes out of her way to make sure that every guest is able to do exactly what they want. She went to fetch me from the airport very late at night, gave me a ride to the beach and back again later, called a scooter taxi when I needed one, and even drove me to my next destination. All of her suggestions were perfect. The property is very attractive and peaceful, set well back from the main road, and perfectly placed to access many destinations easily. Breakfast was very good, the room very clean and comfortable, and I was able to relax and enjoy myself immensely. A couple of suggestions. A towel rail in the bathroom would be useful. There was nowhere to hang a towel. Soap and shampoo were not provided. I would have been nice to have some in the room.

They really made the stay & for that I would come again. The bathroom is very basic but I cannot complain for the money.
• Jakob (9/5): Superb - Great host! Had good recommendations to offer. Breakfast was great! We were able to rent a scooter through the property, you almost definitely need one to commute in Bali. Rooms were comfortable and the garden is beautiful. Bathroom is seperated to bedroom only with a sliding door and the air can get very humid in there with the shower.

• Ivana (10/5): Exceptional - I liked staying in El Homestay very much! You have everything you need there. It is in a local area, so no overcrowded with tourists. In my opinion, it is a perfect place to start or finish your trip in Bali since it is quite close to the airport and you can still enjoy amazing Bukit beaches. I did it that way. It was my first accommodation in Bali in general and later I also decided to come back for my last days in Bali before departure. For me, the best thing about the homestay was Erna - she is amazing and sooooo helpful! I could ask her about anything. As I mentioned, it was my first accommodation and talking with Erna helped me so much to organise next parts of my trip. She gave me a lot of recommendations and advice. And she makes delicious pancakes! ;) I can highly recommend the place! Thank you, Erna, for everything!!! <3

She goes beyond to help the guests and let’s you know where all the good places are to stay and what is the best way to get to them. We stayed there over Nyepi, and she even provided us with a traditional bolinese lunch. She also kindly drove us to the airport the next day early in the morning. -

Room was cleaned everyday and the shower has hot water which isn’t found everywhere in Bali. would definitely come back! We liked everything but if we had to put something then it would have suited us if there were more plugs in the room and perhaps an extra light but that is being picky and didn’t effect us too much!

• Anna (9/5): Amazing host! - Erna the host is an absolute angel! She is so helpful and kind, anything you need she is there to help. From luggage storage, receiving packages, taking my dress to the tailor to be sown, scooter rental, laundry, booking cars to the airport, making coffee in the morning and supplying you with any dishes you might need when you have food delivered, etc. she helps you with everything! We would 100% recommend this place because she provides such wonderful services. Also there is daily room cleaning and a breakfast service if you would like! The mosquitos can be quite intense in the room and there is only one outlet so I would bring an extension cord if you need to charge multiple things at once.

She did so much for us and helped us out whenever we needed it, whether it was scooter renting, or tips for great locations and restaurants. The room is excellent, spacious and has what you need. The location is really good - silent, away from the main street, but close enough to local warungs, and easy to reach destinations around the island by scooter. Everything was great

• Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Nice&clean room. Erna is a very helpful and lovely host. Rooms are cleaned every time. We were even allowed to check in a bit earlier and check out later, thanks! Scooter rental worked without any issues. There are quite a few insects, but nothing which would hinder us to come back again. The breakfast is good, but rather small for the price - we were still hungry afterwards. The scooter were fine, but were already a bit "older". But all in all the price for the stay is unbeatable!

Erna is such a gem and lovely host! not just friendly for the reviews, but just a good human being. rooms were the cleanest on our Asia trip. breakfast was also super tasty! stayed here for 5 nights and if we could we would have stayed longer! stay here if you want a good time! need a scooter to get around, but that’s how it is on the island :-)

And most importantly, it looks beautiful, has that stylish look with tropical lush garden. The room itself looks modern and clean. And the owner Wayen and his wife go out of their way to make your stay perfect. I forgot my drivers licence and Wayen helped me send a taxi from his place to meet me up at the airport. At the airport they will offer you to drive you to the homestay for 250 000 IDR. Download app GOJEK and you can get it for 50 000 IDR and fixed price on the app. U don’t have to negotiate the price.
