- John (10/5): Top B&B - VERY crisp and ultra-clean. Not a speck of dirt nor a smudge anywhere. Cosy bedroom with good selection if drinks. Fresh milk was provided also. Comfy lounge with plenty of interesting reading materials. Unusually for online-booked B&Bs of this era breakfast was INCLUDED - as it should be for an £80 overnight stay! Dark sky provided at no extra charge! Excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Restful Place - Wonderful accomodation with lovely hosts. Nothing too much trouble. Go above and beyond. Clean and comfortable with peace and quiet. Breakfasts are ample and set you up for the day. Lovely fresh cakes/biscuits in room alongside drink refreshments. Water from tap is drinkable and from a spring. So no need to take your own, just an empty bottle to refill. Bathroom and bedroom had heaters and it doesn't get too hot even in the height of summer. Set in countryside and with easy reach of many locations to visit. If you stay here you will not be stuck for places to go. Highly recommend.

We had the opportunity to sit outside in the evening, and first thing in the morning, admiring the views. Our breakfast was great, including the vegetarian option.

- Jane (10/5): For Peace and Tranquility Stay Here - This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay with a fantastic host based in Hawnby. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. We stayed in the Carthouse converted barn with sheep in a small field next to it. Had a small patio area with amazing views of the fields and wooded valleys surrounding the farm. Very peaceful area an hour from the coast. Went for a walk right of the farm down the hill to the main road. The walk was 3 miles round trip and took an hour. The walk back was very hilly. Preferably drive right out of the farm on a hilly one track road which is 2 minutes to the main road, unless you don't mind driving very hilly winding single track roads if you turn left out of the farm.
- Deepak (10/5): - Refreshing stay with peace and quite away from everything else. This experience was one of the best during our road trip across UK. Sara was a great host and was understanding though we missed the instructions on breakfast timings. It turned out to be a nice farm stay where my 11 year old daughter spent time playing with the cats, pea hen, and dogs instead of doing screen time or complaining about not being with her friends. Tips: Download Google map offline, have an early dinner before you get there so that you still have daylight to enjoy the views. There's a hotel/ restaurant about 10 mins away. Recommended overall.
- EAMON (8/5): Nice Stay overall. - Great peaceful location, very tranquil. Just a few things worth noting ; 1. Bath only, no shower in bathroom. I do like a bath but, especially in hot weather, a shower is essential. 2. No TV in room. Not an avid TV watcher but again, as the property is quite remote, a TV would be an asset. Also, Towels were quite thin and board like, would have appreciated fluffy ones in a 4 Star establishment. A nice place to stay, especially if the above points are not important to you.

- Katie (10/5): Excellent stay! - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Easterside Farm. Sarah was very welcoming and she offered us an upgrade to the Carthouse which was beautiful. Very spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Freshly baked biscuits were in the room and greatly received! Breakfast was a cooked breakfast and toast and homemade jam. There was a selection of cereal also. We bought some jams to try at home- delicious! We will be back.
- Daniel (10/5): Beautiful, Peaceful B&B With Great Host - This is a fabulous place to stay to get away from it all. Miles away from any urban sprawl in the North York Moors. Very secluded and remote but with a great pub (The Owl, Hawnby) a 20 minute challenging walk away although that’s about it! We stayed in the double room for one night which was clean and spacious with a separate private bathroom which has been recently refitted to a high standard. The host Sarah is very friendly and helpful with years of experience running B&Bs which clearly shows. She cooks a great breakfast which will set you up for the day. Highly recommended for a short weekend stay or a longer break if you are seeking some peace and seclusion in a beautiful location. We were particularly taken with the lack of light pollution and the night sky as we walked back from the pub.

And the host family couldn't have been friendlier: our young son got to pet the newborn kittens, feed the chickens and ride on the farm's tractor! Breakfast was delicious and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. For a charming, wholesome family farm stay we would thoroughly recommend Easterside.
- Barbara (10/5): Glorious views, lovely food and friendly welcome - Easterside is situated in the most beautiful,quiet location and therefore afforded wonderful 'dark skies' with plenty of stars when there was no cloud. Sarah, very thoughtfully, provided an extremely comfortable guest lounge with satellite tv (no 'in room' tv as the isolated location meant no signal). We stayed in the Granary which was well appointed with a very comfortable bed,refreshments including a daily freshly baked treat and even an umbrella in the advent of rain. The room had its own patio area with seating affording a lovely view of the valley below. Breakfast was delicious and Sarah was very accommodating with needs and preferences. We were very lucky with good weather and spent a considerable amount of time high up on the hills of the surrounding area. There are plenty of places to visit locally and slightly further afield and many local places to eat in the evenings. We will definitely be returning. Very good value for money.

- Helen (10/5): Very enjoyable stay - One of very few places you really are "away from it all". Magnificent views from the farm across the valley. Only the grazing sheep, soaring swallows and free range chickens for company. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. She cooks delicious, plentiful breakfasts, and kept us topped up with fresh milk for cups of tea in our room accompanied by home baked cookies and cake. The room and ensuite bathroom were spotless. The Owl pub nearby serves a generous roast dinner on Sundays, but you do need to book. The towels were line dried, so a little rough on the skin, but natural, fresh and good for the environment! I'm sure we will stay again to explore more of the North York Moors.

Sarah and her family are so friendly and breakfast in the mornings were amazing, especially given our tailored vegan dish. If you like animals they let you see their array of pets and the location is truly serene! We went for star gazing bjt unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side but I will be visiting here again.
