• Glass Igloo

  These movable igloos are 12 square yards in size of which 6.5 square yards are for accommodations. The igloos feature an engine and remote control to move the igloo. The igloos have large scenic windows, heating, a double bed, coffee and tea facilities, a hole for ice fishing and a dry toilet. The igloos also have luggage storage under the bed, storage space for groceries and a terrace where guests can cook meals. There is also a kitchenette with a stove top. A USB charging port and free WiFi are available. Guests have access to the bathroom facilities in the guest house and can also use the lakeside sauna. There is room for an extra mattress or a cot.

• Kat (10/5): Zalige igloos - Ons nachtje in de glazen igloo op 2303/2026 was fantastisch. We hadden zelfs 't geluk om vanuit de igloo het noorderlicht te zien. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.
• Kat (8/5): - De hotelkamers zijn basic, maar zeer proper en echt wel OK voor wat je betaalt. Het ontbijt is eenvoudig maar zeer lekker. Het personeel de max en het restaurant serveert lekker eten voor een budgetvriendelijke prijs. De locatie is super mooi met het grote meer en alle activiteiten kunnen rechtstreeks bij de Guesthouse geboekt worden. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

• Taina (7/5): Jos olisin lukenut paremmin jo aiempia arvioita huonosta äänierityksestä, en olisi varannut. - Henkilökunta oli ystävällinen ja helposti lähestyttävä. Helppo saapuminen ja parkkitilaa runsaasti aivan majoituksen lähellä. Ravintolatilat yllättävän hienot ja sijainti järven rannalla mainio. Aamiainen oli melko perussettiä, mutta hyvin maittava ja hyvä alku aamulle. Huoneen äänieristys olematon. Viereisten ja yläpuolisten huoneiden kaikki äänet kuuluivat meille ja toisin päin. Erityisesti yläkerran kirskuva lattia askeleiden alla oli todella häiritsevä. Vaikken ole herkimmästä päästä äänien suhteen nämä kuuluivat sen verran isoon äneen että olisivat varmasti vieneet yöunet, mutta onneksi muutkin majoittuvat rupesivat yöpuulle ajoissa. Puoliso sen sijaan joutui käyttämään korvatulppia, että sai nukuttua, sillä joitain keskustelun ja liikkumisenääniä kantautui myös yöllä.
• Sven (4/5): Da geht wirklich viel...viel mehr. - Viele bereits veröffentlichte Rezessionen sind absolut zutreffend und die Unterkunft eher mäßig. Wir hatten ein normales Zimmer ohne besondere Features gebucht, bekamen aber Schimmel, auseinanderfallende Türen der Küche und sich lösende Deckenplatten. Nach der Beschwerde auch bei booking bekamen wir ein Ferienhaus mit Seeblick, was vom Comfort, Sauberkeit und dem Platzangebot sehr gut war. (Soll aber auch 600€/Nacht kosten) Die Lage am See ist gut und auch relativ ruhig. Das, die Zimmer im Haupthaus sind absolut unter aller.... Die kann man NICHT buchen!! Die Igloos und Ferienhäuser sind aber echt teuer mit 600-1000€/Nacht, was sie aus meiner Sicht absolut NICHT wert sind., bzw. entscheidet selbst.. Das Frühstück ist unterirdisch, wir haben uns dann (lieber) selbst versorgt.

Recomendamos la experiencia Quizás el pueblo de Ranua. Pero básicamente porque no hay mucho que hacer. Sin embargo, hay que pasar por la gasolinera ST1 y comer un buen plato de sopa de ternera

• Valentina (8/5): La magia di essere immersi nel bianco - Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in una camera doppia standard, molto semplice e modesta. Una delle due notti abbiamo sofferto un po’ il freddo perché i caloriferi non erano particolarmente potenti, però nel complesso il rapporto qualità-prezzo è accettabile. Discorso completamente diverso per l’ultima notte, che abbiamo deciso di trascorrere in uno chalet nuovo di recente inaugurazione: un’esperienza incredibile. Lo chalet è bellissimo, nuovissimo e impeccabilmente pulito. Grazie alle grandi vetrate abbiamo potuto ammirare il panorama ghiacciato e, con un po’ di fortuna, anche l’aurora boreale. Assolutamente consigliato, anche se naturalmente il costo è più elevato. Nel complesso, un’esperienza davvero bellissima. La colazione, molto modesta e con poca scelta.

• Zsófia (3/5): - We booked an igloo for 3 adults but there was only a queen size bed and a mattress which hardly could fit on the floor. The receptionist said they recommend everywhere that it's for 2 adults and 1 child but you can book it for 3 adults on their website and on booking as well. I don't think it should be bookable for 3 adults. It's not a fair deal for this prize. The breakfast was pretty outdated and low cost.

• Michaela (8/5): Glass Igloo - We wanted to try the glass igloos. Great experience because you can see the lake, even if it's covered in snow. There's a Zoo and Activity Park nearby, so we had plenty to do both days. The main disadvantage of this accommodation is that you do not have a bathroom, only the toilet is shared, where there is a sink. The organic toilet in the igloo, I did not understand how an adult is supposed to fit in there. The breakfast has a very basic menu. I was also sorry that before ten o'clock they really warned us in the restaurant that it closes at ten, although of course I understand that.

Très chouette expérience d’une nuit pour tenter de voir les aurores boréales dans cette tres petite maisonnette en verre, astucieusement agencée. Idéal pour deux personnes . Toilettes sèches dans l’igloo mais toilettes et douches ouvertes 24h/24 dans le bâtiment principal Accueil très sympa. Très bon petit déjeuner buffet. Très Bon restaurant à prix corrects avec spécialités locales. Nombreuses et chouettes activités sur place proposées par l’agence locale . Impeccable pour deux personnes mais pas trois. Rapport qualité/prix un peu cher au mètre carré. Mais néanmoins, tres sympathique expérience

• Thomas (9/5): Rustikale Unterkunft - Uns hat es hier sehr gefallen. Rustikale Unterkunft mit Restaurant. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war top und auch für angebotenen Aktivitäten. Wer allerdings Luxus und Trubel braucht, ist hier falsch. Ranua ist sehr ruhig. Genau das wollten wir auch.
• Brunetaud (5/5): Emplacement rêvé mais hôtel et accueil d'un autre âge. - L'emplacement de l'hôtel est parfait. Le personnel est aimable mais peu attentif aux clients, ils parlent très fort durant le petit déjeuner par ex, comme si les clients n'existaient pas. Les chambres économiques sont peu confortables (literie vieille, matériaux usés, mobilier peu entretenu). Le fait qu'il n'existe qu'une seule salle de bain pour tout l'étage est un vrai problème quand il faut attendre la disponibilité. Enfin, les toilettes sur le palier possèdent des portes très bruyantes qui réveillent la nuit. Des patins en feutre utilisés judicieusement auraient pu nous permettre de dormir correctement. Globalement, le materiel collectif utilisé pour les sanitaires est peut-être facile d'entretien mais peu confortable.

Toisena yönä huoneeni ulkopuolella joku mies puhui kovaan ääneen puhelimeen ainakin puoli tuntia. Koirani vahti ovea ja murisi.

• Sabrina (8/5): Ottimo posto per vedere l'aurora - Abbiamo soggiornato in uno degli appartamenti della guest house con due camere da letto, soggiorno e bagno. Appartamento un po' datato negli arredi ma comunque pulito e letti comodi. Buona base d'appoggio per visitare Ranua. La sera abbiamo cenato nel ristorante della guest house, hamburger molto buono e prezzi decisamente onesti. La sera siamo riusciti a vedere l'aurora boreale sul lago che si trova all'interno della struttura (dove sono posizionati gli igloo). Disponibile ampio parcheggio e una sauna su prenotazione. Se soggiornate qui vi consigliamo di valutare di fare le experiences offerte da Lupland (che ha un ufficio proprio all'interno della struttura). Noi abbiamo prenotato l'adventure park di giorno con partenza direttamente dalla struttura, ci hanno portato con una motoslitta in un angolo di bosco a pochi minuti dall'hotel dove abbiamo potuto fare molte attività e ascoltare i racconti delle guide davanti al fuoco e alle salsicce arrostite. Colazione molto basica

• Filippo Mirko (8/5): Ottimo posto se pagato il giusto - Struttura comoda con ristorante per breve soggiorno a Ranua. Igloo e case con vista lago veramente belle e caratteristiche. La sauna privata inclusa nel prezzo è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Struttura a bordo lago, ma il lago è molto illuminato dalle luci circostanti quindi anche a notte fonda non c'e buio pesto. L'aurora l'abbiamo comunque vista dal lago, ma successivamente ci siamo dovuti spostare verso zone più esterne per ammirarla al massimo. Il nostro appartamento era fronte strada, bagno con lavandino minuscolo, colazione scarsa.
• Lonneke Mekes (8/5): - The iglo is great. And well equipped. But as expected very compact. But still enough storage. We cooked some lunch in the iglo which was a nice experience to eat with views over the lake. The views are amazing! And the experience is very special. But I am happy we only spend one night. The price is rather high for the comfort you receive. The shower and the restrooms in the main building can use some renovation. But it is a great experience and the staff is very friendly. We felt that the price was too high for what is offered.
• Anastasija (8/5): Great for a short stay - We were staying in the Annex building by choice, so this review is not about the igloos. It was a rather small room but had a spacious bathroom with separate window. The room had a kettle and a microwave, very convenient. Great view over the frozen lake. Possibility to use private sauna for free (you need to book your preferred time at the reception). The hotel also offers some safari activities, like husky rides, right in front of a hotel, at the lake. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom could be updated in one point.

• Renout (1/5): Horrible à fuir - La vue. Sinon le reste horrible !!! Plus de chauffage dans la nuit pendant 4h sous -20Degres. N’appelez pas les numéros affiché dans l’igloo que la dame de l’accueil vous dit d’appeler si dans la nuit il y a un soucis car ils ne répondent pas, ni sur booking ni sur whatsap. Change de version s’excuse en nous disant qu’ils ont vue l’appel mais n’ont pas pu répondre et 2 jours après le responsable nous dit que c’est pas vrai. Et en plus ils osent nous dire « il n’y a pas eu de perte de chauffage sinon sa nous l’indique » (vidéo et photo a l’appui) bien évidemment je me suis amusé pendant 4h a appelé et me déplacé à l’accueil pour le plaisir. Pas de wifi dans l’igloo et on n’ose me dire « vous avez quoi comme téléphone ? Un iPhone? Certains igloo les iPhones ne capte pas la wifi » Dans l’igloo de mon beau frère il y avait une fuites d’eau, on leurs a dit dans la soirée, elle revient vers nous 5 minutes après sans se déplacer dans l’igloo et nous dit « on verra demain ». Ils ont mis des serviettes par terre pour épongé. Responsable qui limite dit qu’on n’a dégradé du matériel … quel est le but? Franchement pire expérience de ma vie ! Et j’ai payer ceci 550 euros ! Et ils ne veulent rien savoir. Attention ils ne pas compatissants.
• Sylvain (10/5): Tout ce qu’un hôtel de luxe ne pourra jamais offrir. - La salle commune, où se trouve également l’accueil, est absolument authentique et très chaleureuse. Le personnel est adorable, très serviable, aussi souriant qu’un finlandais peut l’être et tout le monde parle un anglais impeccable. J’ai rencontré le jeune homme qui s’occupe d’organiser toute une série d’activités au départ de l’hôtel. Nous avons partagé une table et six cafés, alors que je n’était que de passage pour la nuit. Le garçon qui gère l’accueil et le service s’est plié en quatre pour rendre mon court séjour aussi parfait que possible, tout en discrétion. Un véritable hôtel géré en famille, comme il n’en existe presque plus. Parfait. La télé ne marchait pas, mais je ne la regarde pas vraiment. Du coup, pas très grave.

• Minna (10/5): Mukava paikka! - Kiva kokonaisuus. Lämpimästä ulkoilmasta huolimatta huone ei ollut tukalan kuuma nukkua. Lapsi viihtyi rannassa illalla. Aamupala oli monipuolinen. Koirille oli ihmeteltävää, kuten toki koko lomamatkalla, aina uusi ympäristö.

• Nour (10/5): - Loved this place. I got a solo room and it had everything i needed. I felt cold the first day I arrived because it was -35 degrees, I told them and they immediately helped. The restaurant has great food and all the staff are really nice and friendly. Definitely recommend this place. Oh and I saw the northen lights from here!! Nothing

• Hall (10/5): Ranua is definitely based on nature and booking your tours. If you want to go out in the evenings( apart from your tours - Very friendly helpful staff and owners with a good breakfast included. Stunning views from your accommodation across a frozen lake in winter where you can have a local husky ride which I highly recommend. Tour group lupland based on site with a good choice of excursions and experience.

• Agata (10/5): Bardzo oryginalne miejsce, trzeba być tylko przygotowanym na zupełnie otwartą koedukacyjną łazienkę i posiadać ładowarkę - Styl igloo oczywiście robi niesamowity klimat Może nie doczytaliśmy, ale były tylko kontakty USB A przez co nie mogliśmy nic naładować w igloo, druga rzecz to nie spodziewałam się aż tak otwartej łazienki koedukacyjnej

• ElisaLilla94 (8/5): - Bel paesaggio e parcheggio comodo , stanza carina, Colazione tipica finlandese, positiva perché è la tradizione del luogo. Colazione tipica finlandese, negativa perché se non si è abituati non è il massimo. Nella stanza quando ci si faceva la doccia , l'acqua cadeva nella porta del bagno e sotto passava proprio un cavo elettrico del riscaldamento. Insomma non proprio sicuro se il cavo è danneggiato.

• Cristina (10/5): - Nos quedamos en un igloo y fue espectacular. Muy cómodo y total privacidad y el sitio maravilloso, pudimos ver auroras boreales!! Puedes hacer todo tipo de actividades alli y usar la sauna. Es genial. Algo caro en mi opinión.

• Kate (9/5): There is a cosy reception area to hang out. When the northern lights came, the reception lady asked us to quickly go out - Very nice and cosy igloo. Friendly staff.
