- Sri (10/5): Splendid accommodation in a beautiful setting - We stayed at Casa Gardenia for 4 days recently. The property is excellent and is modern and neat. The rooms are spacious and well ventilated and in addition there are two balconies. There is also access to a private swimming pool from where the views of the lake are spectacular. The property is well maintained and is well furnished. The owner kept in touch throughout and was very helpful. The care taker lady was kind enough to drop us at the ferry station in Bellagio on the day we left. Additional tips: The property is about 5 minute drive from the centre of Bellagio or a good 30 minute walk on a hilly terrain. Considering personal transport would be good idea especially if you have elderly people or small children. An alternative would be to take a bus from the main road (Lecco-Bellagio) which runs almost every 2 hours and costs 3 euro per person.Taxi service in Bellagio is limited and needs prior booking. There are a couple of restaurants within 5 minute walk but if you prefer cooking then there is good supermarket in town ( Sigma) which is 15 minute walk.
