Guest Reviews
- Will (8/5): Pleasant and cosy. - Cosy and vibrant with a lovely breakfast service. There were noisy people in the foyer that we could hear from our room after 11pm.
- David (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Laurence (8/5): An excellent stay and perfect proximity to Holyhead ferry. - A beautiful rural setting. A very nicely presented property. Lovely friendly staff. Excellent food. Nothing
- Neil (9/5): -
- Richard (8/5): - Staff and breakfast Bed could have been comfier but was OK.
- Alison (10/5): -
- Bryan (8/5): Very pleasant location, good service, excellent food. - Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The room was on the small size, there was only one bedside cabinet, and the only power sockets were used for the kettle;e and tv, which meant replacing them each time we wanted to charge our phones. The internet wasn't very strong and often couldn't access the web.
- Paula (7/5): - Perfect location for Holyhead, staff were excellent & food was good Bathroom needed some work - shower didn't work well
- Nash (8/5): We enjoyed our stay but there was just a few niggly things which could make our stay a lot better. - The place itself was good. The meals were also good. The staff were also friendly. There was no mirror in the bedroom so if you wanted to comb your hair you had to use the on suite which was a bit annoying. The stairs to the room we were in were awkward to being cases up. We thought it really could do with a bit of an update all round. We booked our slot for a meal but had to wait over an hour for its to arrive at our table.
- james (8/5): An excellent stay for me and met my needs and expectations - Breakfast was very good and served very promptly.
- Veerle (8/5): Peaceful old farm stay with warm food and a bar - Beautiful quiet environment and gardens with the birds and the bees. It was a nice stay in a tiny bed in an old stable but the staff was really helpfull and gave me something warm to eat after kitchen closed upon my Sunday arrival.
- Margaret (9/5): - Friendly staff and nothing too much trouble for them Clean and comfortable with a quiet restful location Will visit again
- peter (10/5): -
- Jean (10/5): Warm welcome comfortable acomodation and a lovely restaurant with excellent menu. Would recommend!! -
- Helen (10/5): Wonderful place to stay. - Stayed here a month ago so just had to come back. Ideal location in The middle of Anglesey so never far from the beautiful beaches and coves. Food fantastic and always friendly and helpful staff. Will be back again to make a hattrick. Nothing to report.
Leaving I suppose!
- Jade (10/5): A home from home! - Very clean and tidy and a gorgeous little find. The staff were amazing and so so helpful allowing us to check in a little earlier as we had a wedding down the road. The breakfast was incredible! N\A
- Donal (10/5): A great place to overnight on the way to Holyhead ferry - Friendly staff, excellent dinner!
- William (8/5): We will be coming back to stay again! - Staff were excellent.
Location was excellent.
Food very good, breakfast excellent. Very worn bedroom furniture but clean and functional.
Bathroom would benefit from a refit.
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Smith (8/5): A very pleasant country hotel where you can relax and good base to explore Anglesey - A nice country hotel in a delightful setting The policy to settle bills every night is odd and makes one feel untrusted. It appears that this is because bar charges are often made to the wrong room (which was our case also) but this is a problem for the hotel to deal with, not the customers.
There was a great deal of noise in the room, perhaps a few 'quiet please' signs in the upper corridor might help this.
- Mark (8/5): Comfortable - The staff were brilliant.
Bed was comfortable
The food was great in the restaurant, dinner and breakfast The room was a bit dark with only one wall light.
The bathroom was a bit shabby in places.
The soap dispensers were awkward, with no proper place for them. (One on the loo, the other balanced on the shower mixer)
- Timothy (10/5): Lovely place - Location, restaurant & breakfast friendly staff. Bathroom in allocated room needed updating.
- Carolyn (8/5): -
- sean (8/5): -
- Gjkoopmans (8/5): - The staff was really nice đ All was good
- Vicky (7/5): Good - Lovely old building Car park was full and we struggled to find any where to park overnight. Had to block someone in and was worried in the morning that they would be stuck.
- Rachel (8/5): -
- Diana (9/5): - The staff were absolutely superb, really polite and friendly
- Anna (8/5): Very pleasant -
- Charlotte Hayes (9/5): -
- Alison (10/5): Friendly cozy property with first class service. - Our breakfast was part of the stay but we also had dinner two nights. The food was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice that made the only difficulty deciding what to choose as you fancied so much on the menu. Nothing. The staff were first class and did everything possible to make sure your stay was great.
- Nigel (10/5): Really enjoyed our 1 night stay on our motorbike tour. - Great location, comfortable room, friendly staff, good food & service. Everything was good apart from black mould on shower seal.

Setting is lovely too Nothing
- Alison (9/5): Very good. Would stay again. - Breakfast was good and very filling. Also ate there one night and food then was also very good. Staff very helpful and friendly. A chair in the bedroom might have been useful but I appreciate that space is limited. Room had bath with shower over which was a little difficult to get in/out but water very hot.
- Mark (10/5): -
- Adam (9/5): Staff are excellent, beer was great, but the food was absolutely fantastic. Iâd definitely stay again - Very period and in keeping being in a lovey Welsh village Bathroom needs some modernisation
- Andrew (9/5): - Comfortable room. Very nice bar area. Nothing
- Gina (8/5): Very convenient location for a local wedding - Friendly. helpful staff. Good choice at breakfast Very thick duvet, so we boiled the first night, but the staff gave us a blanket to use with the sheet so the second night was better
- Colin (10/5): A fantastic find and will definitely be returning. Well done to all the staff for making it a thoroughly enjoyable stay. - The property is located just a short drive from the location we were visiting - The Dingle, Red Squirrel photography location.
ALL the staff were friendly, extremely helpful, polite, courteous and sociable.
The room was clean, very comfortable, well equipped and quiet. Not finding it sooner!

- Julie (10/5): -
- mjones (8/5): - Very friendly staff, clean room with comfortable bed and good breakfast. Noise from room above which was out of hotels control. If we stayed again we would request a room upstairs
- David (9/5): - Really nice staff, all friendly. Nice, clean and tidy rooms. Bed was comfortable! Breakfast was lovely! Nothing I didnât like really, apart from the shower wasnât that great, our TV wasnât working (which wasnât an issue really as we didnât need to watch TV) and could have done with some more beans with my breakfast.
- Joao (7/5): -
- Peter (8/5): -
- Nia (9/5): -
- Cherine (8/5): Lovely service and great food - The hotel is cosy and warm Hair in the shower
Light wasnât working in one of the rooms
- Paul (8/5): -
- Watkins (9/5): Location perfect for touring. - All meals were excellent. The arrangement of waiting in the bar until the meal was ready is a very good idea.
- Mark (8/5): -
- Potter (10/5): - Always feels like home
- Allen (7/5): - Comfortable bed, large room, friendly staff, good restaurant and great breakfasts! Decor a bit dated, however our main issue is that there were guests in the room above and the sound proofing at floor/ceiling level is ineffective, particularly from the bathroom above! I appreciate this may not be a quick or easy fix for the hotel, but maybe if there aren't many guests, allocate rooms to minimise disturbance.
- Potter (10/5): - Always feels like home
- Mandy (8/5): - It was a nice place. first impressions were good. The room was basic and the bed was very comfy, and cozy. nice and warm in the room. The roof window was great as you could see the views of the snowdonian mountains. The wardrobes are abit out dated but they do go with the cottage look I suppose. The draw knob fell off when I opened the draw, and the kettle was abit grim too. bathroom was not to my standards to be honest needs an update abit tired, ohh and not enough plug sockets, but overall we had a nice stay. The food was lovely especially the chunky chips they were delish đ never tasted chips like them before, well done to the chef...the staff were lovely too.
- Heulwen (10/5): A must stay hotel, you'll regret not staying there!! - Everywhere was spotless, staff were amazing, we had an evening meal and breakfast which was spectacular. Would highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely be going back. Absolutely nothing, everything was of the highest standard.
- richard (10/5): - Friendliness of staff Nothing
- Meurig (10/5): Homely and friendly and will be back. Diolch. - Very convenient, extremely clean and homely. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Diolch yn fawr iawn am y croeso. Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent hotel - Great hotel. Felt like home with great food. Nothing
- richard (10/5): - Location
Friendly staff
- Lynda (10/5): Had a very comfortable stay. Staff were outstanding and so was the food. Will definitely be back - I liked the beautiful style of the hotel. It is located in a perfect place , with plenty of parking . There was nothing I didnât like about it
- Mike (10/5): - A lovely hotel in the perfect location. Nothing.
- Tanya (8/5): Excellent staff, room good and overall very enjoyable. - Breakfast was excellent Longer hours for ordering evening meal
- James (6/5): Ive used this hotel often over past years, and this was a very poor experience on the past stays - Dinner was good
Breakfast was Good
Cost was HIGH :(
I stayed at another hotel in Wales the night before. Comfortable suite, modern bathroom, excellent service, beautiful views and almost half the price No heating in the room. Had to ask for it to be switched on after we had been there for an hour or so. The next morning, no heating on in the room again. As it was a chilly, windy and wet afternoon/evening, I don't see why it wasn't thought of, and the bathroom was not very well appointed. (But it was clean)
- Martin (7/5): -
- Roger (6/5): A bit disappointed - A bit dated for the money
No anti slip mat in bath for when the shower was in use
No towelling Matt to step on to after a shower
- Smon (8/5): Lovely, helpful staff in a picturesque setting with lovely food. Great Welsh hospitality. - Varied menu on top of the regulars via specials.Room and public areas really nice. Staff were very friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Communication. Needed a room based file with the standard menu, meal timings, meal ordering system via the lounge, internet detail, departure time, services available locally in Llangefni etc.
- James (10/5): Iâve stayed before and will continue to use the hotel each time I come to Anglesey - Breakfast was excellent and plentiful Nothing
- clark (9/5): Excellent value for money - Food was excellent and room comfortable. Location quiet but close to major road so an ideal situation to travel all over the island. A bit more heat in the lounge and dining room
- Matt (8/5): - Breakfast could be better
- Simon (9/5): Excellent - They kindly gave me a breakfast bap as I needed to leave before breakfast Nothing
- kenneth (9/5): A well run Country Hotel and Restaraunt - Every aspect of my stay was excellent including meals comfortable bed and lovely helpful members of staff .
My only comment is the shortage of a facility to hang clothes but I understand why . Otherwise perfect and I will most
certainly wish to return .
- Doug (10/5): Would book again - Excellent Nothing
- Alan (7/5): It was OK mainly due to the very helpful staff - Food was good and plentiful. Staff were very helpful when we had a problem. Hotel was very clean although shabby. The rooms are in need of redecoration, repairs that could.be done easily are left undone eg broken lock on bathroom not fixed, chains on window blinds not fixed when snapped and loose. Lots of steep steps not good for guests with mobility problems
- Sharyn (8/5): -
- Roger (10/5): Extremely well located, great bedd and superb food - We had breakfast at the guest house it was fantastic especially the bacon. We 2 evening meals they were outstanding đ Nothing
- DAMIEN (10/5): Highly recommended - Very good location, friendly staff. Great food.
- Susan (9/5): -
- kenneth (10/5): Excellent throughout is not an understatement in my view - During my 4 night stay the daily breakfast was excellent and served by friendly and efficient staff .
I particularly enjoyed the Sunday lunch in the company of my sister and brother in law who live on Anglesey . We all felt
that the 3 course meal was also excellent and good value for the price .
I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this Country Hotel with really helpful members of staff . I cannot think of anything that can be improved as this establishment is very well run .
- Caroline (10/5): - Very comfortable room, good food, very friendly staff. Diolch yn fawr
- Rachel (7/5): Satisfactory - Greeting, room etc. I would have expected a much better breakfast for the price we paid.
- Richard (9/5): Excellent experience - Excellent. Brilliant service Was all good
- Chris (8/5): Superb staff -
- Christine (10/5): -
- Nick (6/5): Adequate and convenient - Breakfast and staff were good, location just off dual carriageway good, lots of parking Hadn't changed since the 80s, room and bathroom v small and basic. Only a VELUX window overlooking staff car park and bins.
- Carmen (10/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. N/a
- Colin (10/5): - Great place very clean and cosy. Nothing
