- Lekeya-lee (10/5): -
- luis_gomez (10/5): - Great Japanese style room. Everything was in good conditions .
- isobel (8/5): - Clean handy to everything
- Felix (9/5): - Etwas dunkel.
- Karol (10/5): - Great place with really good location. Japan style was realy good. Nothing
- Marcos (10/5): - Muy limpio y acogedor.
- Heinrich (7/5): - The quiet area and spacious apartment. The very old futon is not very comfortable. Also, it was impossible to darken the room, so it was too bright at night, which made it hard to sleep.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Bien situé et confortable!

- Ploypailyn (10/5): Excellent - As expected, the place is clean and neat. It's not far from train station so it's super convenient for tourist. Also the building is new and the heater works so good we had a great sleep every night we stayed there. Nothing. Everything is perfect.
- Alexander (10/5): Great Homebase for Kyoto travels - Everything was great. The place was clean, tidy and spacious enough to plan my trip around Kyoto from. The place was only a short walk from the nearest station. The area was quiet with no issues regarding noise at night. The shower was spacious and the added washing machine was extremely useful. Nothing, the place was flawless.
- Quah (9/5): - Accommodation was nice. Location is not so convenient.
- Angela (9/5): -
- Leslie (8/5): - Very nice and clean traditional appartement, calm with plenty of transportation around.
Loved the smart bathtub. I came during the winter, and like most Japanese appartement the insulation is not great and the only heater is the reverse Aircon. So it's pretty cold. But that's just normal in Japan, it's not this specific appartement.
- Whitley (10/5): Exceeded all expectations. - A very cultural Japanese feel being in the home and we loved it. Location was great, beautiful temple is a 6 minute walk with stores for amenities and restaurants for food nearby.
Very easy to communicate with and professional. We will definitely book again when returning.

- Elena (10/5): I would book the apartment again - Clean and very comfortable. It was close to trains and buses. It had everything I needed. None
- Tan (9/5): Value for money accommodation that really feels like being in japan - Quaint and well-equipped accommodation that allow my kids to experience tatami mat bed. Also love the use of wood and white colour in the space. Big kitchen with seating gives us space to have supper. The bathroom, though small, has a hot tub and the tap was similar to those used at indoor onsen. And it comes with a washing machine No place to really dry the washing. Might not feel so secure as the entrance is only via a sliding door
- Stephen (10/5): - Great apartment for 2 couples. Excellent location for exploring Kyoto with plenty of transport options close by. Supermarket and convenience stores are minutes away. Good eating options are also close by. The beds were comfortable, big kitchen and a decent bathroom. Great communication and an easy, straightforward check-in.

- Francesca (9/5): Extremely tranquil, clean and spacious, I highly recommend! - Great location in a peaceful area that was also very close to multiple forms of public transport and shops. Very spacious area with a kitchen, bathroom, and separate toilet. The staff were very respectful and kind. This would be a great option for couples planning to travel and experience a more traditional Japanese living space! The air conditioning unit was quite loud and struggled to keep up with the mid-summer heat. Would not be an issue if you were travelling in a cooler season
- Cheuk (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional - Exceeded expectations, would stay here again
- Ekaterina (10/5): Excellent! - Good location near metro station and bus, very clean, in Japanese style and pretty! Light and has many space.
- Cristina (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great, close to multiple stations, 7 Eleven and Lawson just around the corner. Quiet neighborhood. The accommodation itself was clean and spacious. The collaboration with the host and staff went very smooth, always replied on time and provided us with the required items within the same day. 10 out of 10!
- Dean (5/5): Nice apartment in Tokyo but don’t be fooled - It was really a nice apartment with all the facilities you needed. Very clean and easy to get to everything we needed to see. This is in nobody’s world a 2 bedroom apartment. It is one open room with a Japanese futon and a western double bed all in the same open space.. No division between the two, no privacy at all between the two. They do put a small screen in but no privacy when going to toilet or bathroom. Also there were three of us and only 2 seats at the small kitchen table. We left a day early due to this, which when you have paid in advance a non-refundable fee tells you how inconvenient it was.
- Jonathan (10/5): Excellent, we love it so much! Will consider staying there again next time we visit - Beautiful little accommodation, we stayed there for a week, my wife and i and our 11 months old daughter.
Very spacious for japan, our daughter who likes to crawl and roam around and beginning to start learning to walk had a lot of fun in this house.
We find that its location is very strategic, easy to go to arashiyama there’s the randen train line nearby or if you wanted to go to nishiki market there’s the hankyu kyoto train line. I couldn’t think of anything in particular.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Clean and spacious, very beautiful with good location - Beautiful, clean home in a good location with access buses, streetcars and trains very nearby. Very spacious and good price. Very happy and would visit again!
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prangtip (9/5): Cozy, will stay there again - Cozy, comfortable and feel like home. Well it is actually a house. Convenient location. Close to bus stop and train station where there are lockers. Location is a little hard to find. But once you know where it is , it’s pretty easy to get to.
- Debbie (10/5): A quintessential Japanese home thats much better than a modern hotel - The traditional Japanese home makes you really feel that you are in Japan, especially in Kyoto. Everything is clean, the location is close to combis and restaurants The nice touch of a free wine is much appreciated. None
- Vincent (6/5): False advertising - Clean, great location and nice property manager They indicated there were 2 bedrooms and in reality there is one L shaped room with a very short double bed that had massive seams on all edges that felt like a board and place to put 2 Japanese style futons(thin mats and blanket) that is in front of the entrance. Perhaps food for a family with kids but horrible for 2 couples. There is no tv/sitting room, just a tv in the L shaped room with no where to sit. Only 2 chairs in kitchen making it hard for 4 people to have a meal.
- Rod (9/5): Traditional house in quiet area - A very clean well equipped house within easy reach of public transport
- Jacqui (4/5): Despite looking nice, it was very uncomfortable and had to sit on the floor which was not ideal. - Looked nice and felt authentic. Located off the Main Street. Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. Wifi did not work which was raised with owners and was not rectified. No relaxed seating area and futon/ floor extremely hard. Thin walls and motorcycles driving up and down alley all night. Cutlery and cooking utensils very limited, no cooking oil supplied. Asked owner to call us a taxi, a simple request which they could not accommodate.
- Georgia (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home with excellent facilities. Close to stations, restaurants and food services. Great communication, very comfortable and will be back! NA
- Jennifer (7/5): Extended famlily of 3 - Kitchen was nice and new, big fridge, bathroom set out well, very clean. Only 2 chairs in the kitchen, nowhere to put your luggage so had to leave 3 suitcases on the floor which limited walking space. No where to hang washing as clothes horse barely fitted in the limited outside space. Step from entrance to high. What was suppose to be 2 bedrooms was barely a room. Only one fulton suppise to be 2 and as we were a son, mother and grand daughter meant not enough beds. There was a dishwasher but no tablets or power to put in it. Pillows to hard
- Dario (9/5): Superb -
- Dorian (6/5): Pleasant - The house was in the style of a Traditional Japanese house. It had all the utilities that you need. Close to the railway/subway/bus stations. Plenty of shops nearby. No place for clothes storage (wardrobe), but there was a storage room for sheets and replacements (which could be used as storage if it wasn’t filled with stuff).
Air Conditioning and Dehumidifier were dirty.
The sockets near the bed weren’t working so we couldn’t charge our devices nearby.
We arrived in a very cold period and the AC on hot barely kept up with the temperature. Taking a shower was also an adventure due to it.
Cleaning could be better (there was dust on the TV furniture, we found hair threads in the fridge, which wasn’t well cleaned).
- Roberto (9/5): Superb - Good location and cute little house. Everything as advertised.
- Shashi (9/5): Superb - Spacious Ryokan style home with ample amount of amenities. Train station and tram stations accessible within walking distance. Grocery stores and restaurants nearby.
- Marcus (9/5): Superb -
- Leena (10/5): Exceptional - It was very spacious and big, everything looked new, we have a los of amenities and a gift.
- Izmi (10/5): It was a great stay! Nice property, i really like it! I would recommend to others if you travel like just because of the - The interior was so beautiful! And it was so spacious and CLEAN! Urm the location to the train was abit far for me. If you have luggage maybe its a hassle for individual. But i still manage 😅
- Lionel (8/5): Enjoyed my stay in Kyoto -
- Anand (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (9/5): A great base for our stay with family of four. - Very pretty and clean with good facilities. Handy to amenities and easy access by train and subway.
- Chiang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jesse (9/5): Superb -
- Chutchada (10/5): Very good for family - Calm, quiet, comfortable, convenient, clean None
- Jeremy (7/5): Fantastic accommodation for a couple or small family in Kyoto at a cost effective price. - The washing, kitchen & bathroom amenities were fantastic, The pine style of the lodging was lovely, exactly like the pictures. Convenient location for laundromat to dry clothes, convenience stores are close by, and train station also. The pictures portrayed the property slightly improperly. It says two bedroom, however it's just one large room where the living area off the bedroom becomes an area for additional futons. Lack of pillows provided and lack of communication to request more.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable little inn in a quiet area. It is easy to find and close to a couple of local shops and shopping centre. Pretty close to both the train and bus stations. A little cramped for 4 adults and only 2 dining chairs are available, but this is a very minor downside. This place is definitely recommended for a family of 4 with 2 kids.
- Giorgia (9/5): Good place, new and in a nice quiet neighbourhood close to different trains and bus stops. - The place if new and clean. We thought there would be 2 separate rooms but it was one big open space.
- Laurence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vlad (9/5): Superb -
- Leroy (10/5): Exceptional - The location was impressive. Near the train station, and in the middle of a residential district.
Perfect for visiting the Nara park!
Kyoko, our host, prepared breakfast for us and left a cute handwritten note.
The rooms were small, but more than adequate. Overall, I would definitely book again! The trains can be heard some times. It did not bother me, but some may find it too loud.
- Tiffany (8/5): - The house was everything we wanted and more, we have the whole house to ourselves and though there were no lobby the check in, the host still accepts a very flexible check in time. It was a quiet neighbourhood and we felt very safe living there. We loved the traditional Japanese style and the house was very clean. The only thing I would add is the additional charge (Cleaning fee and Tax) they ask for in Cash upon check-in, I have never experience having to pay extras (The extra cost almost as much as our nightly rate) like that while booking on Expedia. So be mindful of that and bring enough cash.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very cute, clean, and cozy quest house. Conveniently located with quick access to transit and taxi.
