The non-stop music offered - mood music during the day, something a bit more loud into the evening The range of restaurants. We used Milly's for food -at various, quality all excellent. Still had the ambiance of a very grand Bank -liked that history Excellent front of house, doormen who wafted us in, reception (Isis) all very welcoming We were taking a train from Liverpool Street Station - so the location couldn't have been better Quibbles really. Would have liked a bit more shelf space in the bathroom around the sink -seem to collect more items as I get older! Felt the breakfast team at Milly's on Sunday morning lacked some attention to detail . When I finished my cooked breakfast the empty plate wasn't removed and I had to use it for toast. The coffee was very lukewarm. No problem with the food

Paul (8/5): A real treat overall, a wonderful place to stay, rich in history. - Location, staff and bedrooms were all excellent and as expected at The Ned. The Ned Feast simply does not cater well enough for allergen sufferers including Gluten Free. Their Feast offering is plentiful but with insufficient attention provided to GF guests. The price per person for non-allergen sufferers is fine, the price per person for allergen sufferers is simply too high until they introduce an allergy considerate menu.

Michelle (8/5): A stylish and vibrant hotel with a few aspects that could be improved - The interior design is truly beautiful, with a distinctive 1920s style that gives the entire place a unique and sophisticated atmosphere. One of the highlights was the lively ambiance in the evenings, as the lobby regularly featured live music and events, which made returning to the hotel feel special every night. There were, however, a few aspects that could be improved. Unfortunately, the windows in our room could not be opened. In addition, the service felt somewhat inconsistent: doors were not typically held open, assistance with luggage was only provided upon request, and it was uncommon to be greeted first by the staff.

The lobby was like a night club. We couldn't get a table at any time during our stay to enjoy the atmosphere in the lobby area, tables were either full or reserved. Seems to be a very popular spot with non residents of the hotel too!!!

For such an expensive stay - the fact that spa passes are not included - and the rooftop pool and Vaults are off limits to non soho house members is quite crazy. Having a hotel where most of the facilities are off limits is pretty rubbish, especially considering the price.

james (7/5): Fun but over priced for what we got. - The hotel was vibrant and had lots going on. The rooms windows were covered in frosted plastic so you couldn’t see out. The room was quite small and I think that there are bigger available and for the money we paid we should have had one of those.

Gizem (1/5): - I stayed at The Ned on 27 February and unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the price. I booked the room through Booking.com and paid for it online in advance. However, when I arrived at check-in, I was charged again for the room as well as a deposit (+£175). I was told the money would be released a few days after check-out, but as of 14 March I still have not received the refund. Another disappointment was that we were told the pool and certain amenities were not included because we booked through Booking.com, and that we would need to pay an additional £15 per person to use them. Additionally, we specifically chose a higher-priced room because the photos on Booking.com showed a bathtub. However, the room we were given did not have a bathtub. When we asked about this, we were told that the photos are only representative and not necessarily the exact room. I understand that rooms may vary, but removing a key feature like a bathtub was very disappointing, especially when that was one of the reasons we chose this option. they did move us after some discussion The room itself was also not very comfortable. The bed was quite small, and my partner is taller than me, so his legs didn’t even fit properly in the bed. For a hotel at this price level, I expected a much better experience. I have stayed in many hotels in a similar price range, including Four Seasons, and unfortunately The Ned did not feel competitive in terms of service or comfort.

66garyf (10/5): What a fabulous place to stay - We stayed here for one night just before Xmas for a friends birthday and it was an amazing place. The attention to detail is awesome. From the moment you walk through the doors into the grand bar and restaurant areas you realise what a great place this is. The rooms are decorated in authentic 20’s decor and they have thought about everything. The room was just a basic room but it was really comfy and the bedding and bath towels were the best. We had a few cocktails in the bar before we went to dinner and the service and entertainment were excellent. Let’s be honest, it’s not a cheap place to stay but it was worth experiencing it. I have walked past this place so many times walking to my office but never knew what was behind those small doors. All in all we had a great stay and great time and will be back to the bar and restaurants again.

kirstyhF1587AT (2/5): So disappointed - We were extremely disappointed with our recent stay at The Ned. We have stayed every year since 2021, each time returning with new additions to our family, and have always valued the care and attention to detail that made these visits special. Prior to our arrival, The Ned personally contacted us to ask for our child’s name and her interests so that a movie night could be arranged in our room. Unfortunately, when we arrived our room was not ready and nothing had been organised. While our Heritage Room was absolutely beautiful, none of the agreed arrangements for our daughter had been made. We raised this issue on three separate occasions, and only after repeated complaints was an activity box and a small gingerbread man delivered — items that had simply been left in our room during our previous stay, rather than thoughtfully prepared as promised. Additionally, the music was not playing until very late, and the overall atmosphere felt completely off. Sadly, it seems that the new management has taken away much of the magic and specialness that once defined The Ned. In the end we ended up leaving the hotel at 6:30pm and went home. As a result, we will be choosing a different hotel for our annual London staycation going forward.
FarAway63287422379 (2/5): Our family checked in at 3pm and we were checked out by 6pm that same day and heading home! Shambles - Something has definitely changed at The Ned. We have stayed here for many years, nearly every Christmas, as well as at other times of the year but this visit was hugely disappointing. It appears management has changed, and communication between booking and the actual stay is almost non-existent. We arrived on 30th December for an overnight stay, and none of the arrangements promised by the guest services team had been put in place. Special touches that were meant to be organised for our young children and my mum simply weren’t there at check-in. Throughout the evening I went down to reception at least four times. The duty manager was pleasant and clearly trying his best, but it was obvious his hands were tied in terms of what he could actually do to put things right. In the end, we made the difficult decision to leave. All three rooms were refunded, and we walked away from The Ned with a great sense of sadness, given the many wonderful memories we’ve made there in the past. To add to the disappointment, the Christmas tree had already been taken down on 27th December, whatever happened to the twelve days of Christmas? Sadly, the whole experience felt like a shambles: poor communication, a lack of customer service, and a noticeable drop in standards. I honestly think it may be past saving. Given how pricey The Ned is, I would strongly recommend staying at one of the many other amazing hotels London has to offer, as the level of customer service no longer reflects the cost or the reputation it once had.

Fidelma (10/5): Sublime. - The hotel is British charm personified; you can imagine the past banking business going on around you. The scale of the ground floor is immense. Marble pillars raise your gaze to the ornate ceilings. On the day we stayed there wasn't a free space in the public areas. A jazz band was playing and the vibe was outstanding; it was back to the pre-covid days of packed pubs and clubs. We had a meal in the Electric Bar and the food was delicious. The other restaurants were booked up. The decor of the hotel was tasteful, British and classy. Bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The corridors were spotless and very country classic in decor. The oak floorboards in the bedroom was a lovely touch, they had a huge Persian rug that spread under the bed and covered most of the floor, which was a refreshing change to strange coloured carpets found in most hotels. We stayed for 1 night but you could pop in here every time you came to London and still see something new. The staff were lovely, especially the doorman who took us in and gave us a little history lesson on the place. Although only open in 2017, this hotel, building and location is already iconic. As someone who spent their early life working in financial services in the area, it was like stepping back in time, and I felt the energy and buzz of good old London City again. So lovely to see that there is so much life still going on around here. Christmassy, classy and a cherished memory made. Thank you Ned. I hope we'll be back. LOVED THIS PLACE. I liked everything, but maybe a bit more information on where everything was when you check in would be nice. We had to use the toilets downstairs and then came across the old vault which is incredible.
