- Viktoria (4/5): Nice place, badly managed. Don’t expect communication. - Great location, nice apartment. So much potential! We had several very unpleasant occurrences during our stay. We booked at 16:20 and we immediately proceeded to check-in a few minutes later. At check-in, we were told that there had been no electricity since 7am that morning, and there wouldn't be any until 10pm. We had not been warned about this in any way at the time of booking - we would have booked somewhere else under these circumstances. Our apartment was not very clean (maybe due to the lack of electricity?), there was water on the floor as the freezer was de-frosting, and there were dirty towels in the washing machine. The apartment was very cold, and we had no light and no possibility to heat or cook until the electricity went on just before 10pm. Nevertheless, they charged us a cleaning fee of CAD$192 for 2 nights. There were no towels for us in the apartment, and the ones we then got from reception were dirty (!). In light of these unfortunate circumstances, we kindly requested that they refund us that exorbitant cleaning fee. We did so through Booking.com and directly by email. They never even bothered to respond over the past 2 weeks. Utterly disappointing.

- Olivier (4/5): Sale et bruyany - La taille du logement qui est très spacieux Le logement était tres sale, les draps n'avaient pas été changés et nous avons trouvés des poils et des draps tachés Vaisselle manquante : seulement 2 douchettes dans les tiroirs, pas moyen d'en obtenir d'autres Logement extrêmement bruyant, les cloisons sont très fines et beaucoup de personnes font la fête ou rentrent très tard... L z nuits sont hachées!

Aucune des prestations annoncées d'été présente. Les odeurs de cuisine plus que désagréable dans les étages. Et le personnel qui trouve tout à fait ça normal!
- Cécile (5/5): Très bon emplacement mais établissement décevant. - L’emplacement est vraiment idéal pour visiter facilement Montréal. Cet établissement manque d’entretien c’est dommage. Le linge de lit n’était pas très propre, tout comme l’appartement. Les photos sont plus vendeuses que la réalité. Forte odeur dans les parties communes, chaises en mauvais état et pas fonctionnelles, isolation des fenêtres insuffisante par rapport au bruit et aux températures etc…
- Hugues (7/5): Le séjour était agréable. - Le lit était confortable, le canapé aussi. Nous n'avons apprécié pas apprécié l'exiguïté de la 2e chambre et l'instabilité du lit superposé qui y était. Quand on y grimpait, il bougeait affreusement si bien que nos filles ont dû dormir à deux dans le lit du bas pendant les 10 jours de réservation. De plus, notre vue sur les poubelles n'était du meilleur goût. Pour nous 4, un Wc supplémentaire serait appréciable. Le logement était plus vieilli que les photos de booking.

Propreté très limite dans l'ensemble de l'établissement : appartement et parties communes. Serviettes salles et déchirées, pas de torchons, porte qui ne ferme, poubelles sales.

- Sandrine (1/5): Pas un bon endroit pour séjourner - Pas grand chose à part le fait que c'était pas trop mal placé. Il y a pas mal de choses à dire malheureusement. Déjà les photos n'ont absolument rien à voir avec la réalité, mais alors rien du tout. L'immeuble est délabré (le terme est très faible), sale. L'appartement duplex 102 est inconfortable, sale. Les balcons donnent sur la rue derrière mais c'est le dépotoir à poubelles donc ne pensez même pas à faire un barbecue sur le balcon !! Ça donne direct sur les ordures de la rue, toute l'arrière rue est comme ça, sale et débordante de poubelles. On a vu le ramassage un jour et le lendemain c'était de nouveau des tas d'ordures partout. En plein été l'odeur est sympa ! L'appartement en lui-même n'est pas agréable car c'est sale aussi. Les serviettes avaient toutes des taches et on a relavé nos draps !
- Franz (6/5): Very chic, comfy, but in need of a lot of TLC - The apartment is quite spacious with high ceilings and the interior is a good compromise between chic and comfortable furniture. Much of it shows considerable wear and tear though. The bathrooms are practical and we found nice towels and linen for the beds. Speaking of beds: The mattresses on the three double beds and the bunk beds were nicely firm. The sleeping couch in the living room was super wobbly on the contrary. The rooftop terrace was nice, with a great view, a bbq and lounge furniture. The building is located on a quiet street where you can park for a moderate fee and part of the rooms give on an even quieter back alley with trees. Various supermarkets, cafés and restaurants in walking distance. The staff were also very nice and helpful if you asked them personally. No response whatsoever to messages via the booking.com app If you know what to look for, you can see traces quite a lot of makeshift repuairs on the ceilings and furniture. Apparently there had been a fire on the roof recently. The terrace was littered with Glass shards and when it rained heavily one evening, there were several spots in the upstairs bedroom, where lange amounts of foul smelling water seeped in. When we complained, there was no response from the management. The reception sent housekeeping, to check, but they did just that. No repair, no discount, no apology. All we got were a handful of extra towels to replace the oned we‘d use to mop up the water. Also, the kitchen was very poorly equipped. Two teaspoons, three blunt knives and about six spoons and forks. No pan, only one pot (five lids though) and no kettle. The door of the dishwasher was broken, too. So basically cooking wasn‘t possible.

You will climb the stairs with your luggage and the worst is that we had power outage and when I called after 2 hours, I was told that it was a city issue and that I should complain to the city. I then decided to check out (this was now like 4 hours of no power) and they still have the gut to say they will not refund. So they are a BIG FRAUD.

There was no elevator, and the third bedroom wasn't usable - I ended up sleeping with others on the bed. On top of that, the catch was broken, and the place wasn't immaculate overall; we had to put a bedsheet on the couches to sit.

- Nazia (4/5): - I stayed at this property for one night and had a disappointing experience. The staff were unprofessional, and the front desk staff were drinking alcohol in front of customers. The bedding was dirty and appeared not to have been changed, and some of the utensils were not cleaned properly. The surrounding area felt unsafe due to people using drugs on the street nearby. Lastly, there was no parking available at the property, and we had a difficult time finding parking at night.

- Aurore (3/5): Lamentable - L’emplacement L’appartement était dans un etat deplorable de saleté , tapis, canapé, fauteuil, draps, coussins. Tout était taché . Le jacuzzi mis en avant sur l’annonce était vide et sale. Il manquait des draps et des serviettes dans l’appartement à notre arrivée. Et la personne de l’accueil était d’une nonchalance et amabilité vraiment catastrophique !!! Franchement une honte. Et pour couronner le tout l’appartement était au 3 ème sans ascenseur !

J’ai été impressionné par leur façon de répondre aux demandes. Nous nous sentions à la maison. L’absence d’ascenseur rend difficile le transport des bagages au troisième étage.

Manque la poignée de porte à l’intérieur de la salle de bain, il n’y a pas de brosse dans les toilettes mais seulement une ventouse. Les plaques sont sales. Les poils également Heureusement, la literie est très correcte Nous sommes arrivés avec neuf minutes d’avance sur l’heure de checking, nous avons dû repartir car nous avons pas été autorisés à entrer dans les chambres……..

Le jacuzzi sur le toit ne fonctionnait pas très bien et le lieu était un peu abandonné

I will be posting a google review to warn people off this hote - The washroom’s faucet was damaged, bedsheets and towels were stained, neglected plants, dented walls, unstable & creaking bed, dirty grill, broken dishwasher, coffee stains on tables and counters, stained couch and pillows, cracked tiles, cracked mirror, and broken shower head. Some furniture had burnt through holes, such as the coffee table and floors.

- Hiu Yan (2/5): Disappointed and broken facilities - The loft is spacious, the location is convenient and we also like the walk out balcony. We felt very disappointed, because the we discovered that some facilities are broken or problematic. Firstly, the shower glass door and lock on both bathroom doors were broken. When we shower upstairs, the water leaked from the ceiling on the lower level like a waterfall. It was very shocking. Secondly, the shower head on the lower level bathroom was broken and there was water leak at the connection part. Moreover, there was no air conditioning inside the 2 bedroom, we felt very stuffed inside. The bed sheets and sofa had stains on them too.

Mile End/Plateau neighbourhoods have endless intetesting shops, cafés and restaurants. Was just steps from the Rialto theatre where we had tickets to a show which was main reason for the trip. Few small things could be improved. No bed-side lights in main bedroom, no clothes hanging Rod in main bedroom closet.

The living room was spacious enough and there was access to paid TV subscription FOC. There’s no elevator, so get ready to drag your belongings up the narrow stairs. The microwave oven in the kitchen is past its best before date. There’s no kettle. No washing up liquid. The toaster was dirty so couldn’t be used. The accommodation screams low-budget.

- david (4/5): Just not ideal - left to stay somewhere else - The photo's look nice on Hotels. I was expecting to be able to park at the units as it is advertised with Parking available. This parking is on the streets around the area. I didn't like being called prior to arrival to ask to use a link to pay deposit and do a security check. My wife looked at the outside of the building and did not like the vibe of the people hanging around the entrance. And was too frightened to think about leaving the car out on the streets or even going into the units. We booked another hotel in the area and got an Uber to the event we were going to. My rating is based on external experience as we did not see the room. Shame to waste the money for a room we did not stay in seeing as there was a fee to clean it. Hopefully this can help future bookers think about what they may be getting into.
