Trevor (4/5): Disappointed there was no promised view, - Large patios, location on the beach was nice. We ended up in 5A. We booked a deluxe room that looked like it had a view- every other building has an ocean view but apparently we ended up in the one with a beautiful patio but a view of - the building in front of it. Doesn’t have a garden view - it’s a view of shrubs. Also the internet was not functional- it went out several times over the course of our three day stay- we ended up rebooting at least 8 times. We notified the host, someone was supposed to come fix it but no one came. The pool was in disrepair- there is a swim up bar area that is dilapidated and dirty, not sure it’s safe. Over all it was adequate but more than a little disappointing- the whole point of booking this resort was for the large patio with ocean views, the description and photos were a little deceptive.
Yves (10/5): Great place close to Placencia - Wonderful location with a spacious patio offering ocean view. The condo is roomy, beautifully furnished, and impeccably clean. The landscaping is meticulously maintained, adding to the charm. We loved having easy access to both the ocean and the pool, as well as being just a 5-minute walk from excellent restaurants like Dolce Vita, Turtle, and Mariposa. The property is conveniently located—only a 5-minute golf cart ride to Placencia and 15 minutes to Maya Beach. The serene atmosphere was a delight, providing a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. The WiFi and air conditioning worked well making our stay comfortable. This is definitely a destination we’d return to! Few more towels and glass would have been nice.

Saleh (9/5): Beautiful - Everything there is. The pools, The beach. Water warm like a warm bath. Calm sea like a swimming pool. The building, furniture are of high quality and the wall decor is tasteful. Everyone is very friendly. The one only thing is that you must use insect repellent to protect from mosquitos and sand flies on the beach and the pools.
Valerie (7/5): The suite is very dated and needs maintenance so our stay was not as comfortable as we had hoped. The property managemen - The suite was oceanfront and had a beautiful view from the master bedroom. The balcony was spacious and very convenient for eating and lounging. Jack, the property manager was congenial and very helpful. The air conditioning unit in the master bedroom did not work well and the room was very hot the whole stay. The suite was very dated. The blinds were frayed and very dirty. The tank on the toilet in the master bath took a long time to refill therefore you had to wait several minutes before flushing again. The lighting was very dim throughout the suite. We only had one lamp in the master bedroom, and it was not bright enough to read by at night.

Really liked the location and the pool area. Beach was very nice and had great parking area. Not far from town. I don't have any complaints.
Becca (10/5): Exceeded every expectation!! - SO SPACIOUS! Gorgeous decorations. Excellent location. Italian restaurant on site was delicious and convenient. Everything was so EASY! Golf cart dropped off, allowed late check out. Were so close to the airport, we drove the cart there and was able to drop it off when we left. So close to the beach. I enjoyed waking up early and going down to the beach chairs and reading my book. The grounds crew were so polite, they even cut up some coconuts for us to drink. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. The washer and dryer was a huge plus since we just came off a 4 day boat cruise and all of our clothes were filthy. There are two resorts close by with great food and views. Easy drive to town. WE DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE! I am having PTSD as I am writing this haha. nothing negative to say, but if I had to, it would be there was no breakfast on site. But again, that is not a problem since we have a full kitchen and places extremely close to go.
Trudy (9/5): Would stay here again - our unit was great for 2 couples. Liked the location, too. - Good view, large veranda and kitchen/living space, nice pools and grounds. Our air conditioning was not very cool in any of the rooms. It was tolerable but not comfortable at times.

Daniel (10/5): Glorious, warm. romantic and so "Belize". - Before you think Linda and I gush over every lodging - don't! We are both hospitality professionals and are often bit by our inbred standards. Not at Los Porticos!! From the subtle entrance, the warmth at the front desk to the beautiful waterfront accommodation to the great beach - and so much more - you can't go wrong in Villa 8D. Can't imagine a thing.

She showed us to the apartment, explained amenities and policies. Real nice! The weather.... which has nothing to do with the property, of course. William (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay and loved our unit. Would love to return. - Best beach on placencia. Beautiful facility. Great!! Pesticide spraying. We didn't get any notice and it was very strong and bad smelling, like diesel fuel, and lasted a long time and we had to stay indoors or leave the area. The person spraying was wearing a mask. We were not. In addition to being unpleasant, we are concerned about possible heath effects from fumes. Also, initially couldn't find kitchen spotlights switch as it was behind the coffee maker. Should consider leaving instructions on how to work light switches and fans.

They were also very helpful in booking excursions! that La Dolce Vita was closed for renovations, but there are plenty of great reasturants on the Island

The condo was super large, had beautiful porches, was very nicely finished and super comfortable. Location was superb! The restaurant next-door at Mariposa was top-notch! all was great!
Aishia (7/5): We will be back to Los Porticos because of the location. and it was quiet. - Waking up to the ocean view every morning was breath taking. My husband fell asleep most nights out on the patio couch because the night ocean breeze was relaxing. The location was 8 minutes away from the village and the beach. The property management came off as if they were a concierge service so I was under the impression they were on site based off of our communication via email and WhatsApp before arriving to Placencia. Responses from our hostess were short and non responsive. There were many essentials that we needed but items were locked up because it's an owner rental and the property management didn't think smarter on how a stay should feel for people renting a villa. I worked in property management, it should feel 99% like the home I just left. The Villa's had no pavement from where we parked to roll our luggage to our villas so that was difficult as we arrived at night. I had to find a ground's keeper to assist me with our bags because of the pavement issues. He was helpful and got a wheel barrel to bring our luggage to the vehicle.
Philipp (8/5): Very good - Very spacious, beautiful location. Apartment is luxurious, but you need your own transport to get anywhere, as it is a fair bit outside of town.
